Immortal

Celestia sat in her bed knowing that she had to raise the sun in a matter of minutes, but the dwellings of her past that were always there were stronger than even because of the approaching day. She fought off these dwellings to get up out of bed and slowly walk too the doors that lead out the balcony where she would the raise the sun every morning. Opening these doors with her magic, she kept slowly trotting forwards till she stopped and closed her eyes. She felt the gentle tug of her sisters magic on her moon signaling her to do the same with her sun and doing just that gently pulled the sun up until it was just over the horizon. She let go of the sun knowing that it would move the rest of the way across the horizon and beyond by Itself.

Now that her job was done she moved back inside of her room,her safe haven, and just sat in the middle of the room not knowing what to do next. She had only 24 hours left in this cycle and she had no idea what to do, she knew the premise of what was going to happen just like the rest of her selves. Retaining all knowledge and memories but there was no way to tell what actually would happen; would she resent her sister like luna did to her in a past form or be a diabolical ruler and care nothing about ponies or would the worst happen. The worst case in point being her brother discord, oh how kind and  loving he used and a lot mares loved him in his alicorn form. But then his birthday came along much like her's did and he changed into a chaos loving monster like he used to be.

Hearing a knocking at the door,she snaps out of her stupor and trots over to answer her door, finding luna on the other side of the door, Celestia realizes that she had forgotten about the traditional breakfast her,her sister and twilight always had.

"Sister I know mulling and thinking are the only things on your agenda at the moment but me and twilight would prefer to have you at breakfast this morning" Luna says with a slight frown

Celestia replies with a simple " but of course sister" and they are off to the grand dinning hall where the young alicorn twilight will be waiting. And with that her mind spins off into another tangent. She remembers the days where all of twilight's friends slowly died of old age while she stayed as young as the day of ascension, Fluttershy was the last to go. Everyone had watched as she took her final breaths in the arms of her husband discord, they had gotten married after living with each other for a year and a half. She had never seen her brother cry in her long life and it's one thing she will never forget. Now discord lives in the middle of the forest as a hermit only ever coming to visit on holidays and the anniversary of her death.

Suddenly Celestia bumped into something, she first found out she had hit a table and secondly she was in the dinning room with Luna who had a look of concern upon her face. Luna had tried to say something but it had fallen deaf to Celestia's ears as walked to the chair she always sat at. Finally looking up she noticed that not only was twilight here but also her niece Cadence and her brother Discord

"Well if this isn't pleasant surprise, both my brother and niece have come to visit me in last of hours" Celestia said with a somewhat faked smile

"Yes dear sister, Luna called me that you were changing cycles once again and came to provide support to you and your next form" discord replied

"Yes it is such shame aunt that your changing cycles, but for me to not go through one before I can say nothing in sympathy but I will try to make your final hours the best"

Twilight looked up at the mother figure,the mentor and best friend she's had since a little filly and with all this in mind she looked into her mentor's eye's and came up with the best respond she could think of while the anguish was upon her

"Celestia over the years I've had the pleasure of knowing you,you've taught me so many things about this world and how to get though loss but.." she stopped for a second to inhale a shaky breath " I don't ever think that I'll ever be able to look at the next Celestia the same way I'll still love her but not as much as I did you"

Everyone in the room just stayed silent for a moment they couldn't all say the same thing but they knew what they meant and to say that this was her nicest personality is true Discord and Luna will never forget the first Celestia. After the moment of silence they all made a bit of small talk to make it seem like any other day,after breakfast Celestia stole away out of the castle to go walking for a bit.

Seeing all of her subjects smiling faces made her feel a bit better about what was inevitable to happen but then thought would she become some new threat to these ponies? Would be so lazy and selfish that she wouldn't wanna do her jobs anymore or would she been some cruel and heartless ruler. No less she carried on walking upon her path but she interrupted by the best sound in the universe, a wheezing sort of music sound that brought jitters to her hooves.

A tall man walked out of the machine like a valiant hero,she now knew that he had not regenerated but maybe a month or two ago but he was still stuck in the equestria universe. He was disappointed at first but after regenerated out of his old pony body he has had a better and more fun adventure, even laughing at what the pony version of daleks. She smiled at that memory and looked upon his face and his old sad eyes.

"Isn't a pleasant surprise to see you here doctor and how many times have I told you about traveling alone?" she said with mock disappointed face

He looked down upon her with a smile upon his face shaking his head and laughing

"Celestia your not my mother, and by the way i'm not traveling alone my companion is sleeping at moment and I thought I'd come back and see a old friend"

"Well as you may know I'm not doing to well as I'm going though the cycle like your regenerative process but different y'know?"

The doctor looked upon here with knowing eyes and began to walk along with her.

"So how has the traveling been going doctor" Celestia asked with inquisitive expression

"It been going well went and saw the belts Oyioup with my companions,Defeated a whole dalek fleet with my regeneration energy and even saw a old friend."

"And who might that be Doctor?"

"You" The doctor said with a saddened expression and then he continued on walking with celestia just enjoying her presence

As Celetia and the doctor came back to the tardis they were reminiscing about the times when celestia travel with the Doctor but like all great things it came to a end and the Doctor and Celestia said their goodbyes and with the same musical wheezing the Doctor was off on another adventure and Celestia had now less than eight hours after all the things that her and doctor did that day.

She walked away from the spot where the tardis had disappeared and just thought of all things she's done over this millennia, From her sister coming back from the moon to fighting off a zompony apocalypse with Physic powers and to moments after her change and there have been many tear jerking moments in her millennia as celestia and as The doctor had said to her before "this song may be ending but the story never ends and with that she content with what was happening, some may have thought it was sudden but she didn't care and she kept trotting.

They say its the little things that matter to a dying person like the color of the sky or how their mane looks even how water tastes and these are the types of things she thought of as she trotted back to the castle and as she walked around the castle she thought of all memories that happened in this castle ranging from having a giant fight with enraged human who wanted nothing but destroy them all or fighting and killing Chrysalis by accident when she tried to take over the kingdom once again but though and though she believes she's had fun but it is time to go.

The rest of her day was spent with her friends and family but she couldn't have a full and nice time and that fully ruined it for her.

And as the sun finally started it's decent Celestia was shedding her final tears as she looked at the her friends and family she had loved for all time as this celestia she watched her sun slowly fall off in the distance. Without her noticing she slowly started to foat up in ethereal  golden light and as it started to overwhelm her senses had one final thought as slipped out of consciousness for the final time as that Celestia " I don't want to go" and with that she was gone.
