Chapter 1: Arrival

Abandoned NC Command Island, Auraxis, 1:47 PM

As Jed and Potatohead got off the Galaxy and made landfall on the island, they were greeted with the sight of a misty, damp, and almost Hossin-like area surrounded by pre-war buildings. "Wow, kinda reminds you of Hossin, doesn't it?" asked Jed, taking in his fill of scenery. "Yeah, only we don't have tanks and Sunderers being bogged down with TR Light Assaults in the tree's, spying on us." said Potatohead, "Come on, lets go see the ship and look at our bunks."

As Jed and Potatohead went to the building they were instructed to go to, they found themselves going underground through a deep, dark, shaft. "Wow, so, what do you think the ship will look like?" asked Jed, trying his best to see through the darkness. "I heard it is a close design to a Matterson Class Colony/Assault ship." said Potatohead, him too having trouble seeing in the darkness. "Oh yeah, I remember reading about those, possibly the best ships the old Terrans could offer. Soooooo much firepower, I hope I get to go to the Gun Deck." said Jed, fantasizing about shooting up TR in such a behemoth of power.

And as they exited the shaft, the were greeted with a blinding light, and the view of the behemoth of a ship. "Wow!" said Jed, his eyes, unmoving to the sight of the vertical ship. "Come on space-boy, lets go find our bunks." said Potatohead, heading towards the nearest ramp. "Wait for me!" said Jed, trying to catch up.

As Jed and Potatohead went into the Crew's Quarters, they found out from a Sergeant that they would both be put in Engineering. "Huh, may I ask why we are being put into engineering?" asked Jed. "I think it's because they need more security, seeing as how at there are trained professionals guarding the bridge and Gun Deck." said the Sergeant, "Now hurry along to your quarters, you're holding up the line."

As Jed and Potatohead entered their quarters, they realized that it was a bit more cramped than a Warpgate bunk. "well, I guess it's time to start unpacking." said Jed, chucking his tote-bag onto his bed. The first thing that Jed pulled out of his pack was an old photo.
"What's that?" asked Potatohead. "Oh, nothing but a small family photo, my Dad, my Grandfather, and me, right before I shipped out. I never saw them again." said Jed. "But I'm sure they're fine! Come on lets get the rest of our stuff out."

After they got their thing unpacked, they headed down to the Engine Room, where they were given orders from one of the many C.O.'s in Phoenix Battalion. "Now you two are to patrol around the #2 and 3 Auraxium storage tanks, to protect from sabotage." Pirbi said, pointing to the two humongous cylinders marked with 'Auraxium Storage: Caution, Highly Explosive'. "Huh," said Jed, thinking what might happen if one were to go off. "You've got a problem with that Corporal?" asked Pirbi with a look of authority. "Uh, sir, no sir!" said Jed, trying to get Pirbi to stop his death stare. "Alright, now head back to your quarters, we are going to launch in eight hours, enough to get all supplies and nanites aboard." said Pirbi, turning around to check dials.

Suddenly, WillTheThe's voice came over the ship's intercom. "Attention all PHX onboard the N.C.S., dubbed the 'Liberty Bringer', all personnel need to report to the Command Bridge, for C.O. Blackweb is making an announcement."

"Well, I guess we are heading towards the Bridge then." said Pirbi, walking towards the doorway.

N.C.S. 'Liberty Bringer' Bridge, Former NC Command Island, Auraxis, 3:23 PM

As all Privates, Corporals, Lieutenants, and Captains were filed into positions, (Captains put behind Blackweb) Blackweb stepped up towards the Command chair in the center of the Bridge. "Now, I know that all of you were prepared to set up a new home base for the NC on the planet we've discovered, but, we have discovered something very grave indeed, something that might mean the end of us all." Blackweb said, trying his best not to stare into the eyes of his troops. "It seems, that while we've lost communications with Earth, they've somehow developed the means of Faster Than Light travel, no matter how ludicrous is seems. They have brought a fleet of about eight Connery Class Battleships, five Briggs Class deep-space Fighter Carriers, and ten Morgannis Class Troop Tranport. Now, I have been discussing with a few NC officers and strategists, and we may make it through the fleet if we overclock the Auraxium generators, thus creating a lot of excess power, easily revertible to the shield generators, and the Vanu weaponry we 'liberated' will help greatly, and I have good faith that we will be able to secure victory, for the NC!"

"Yeah!" cries every NC in the Bridge. "Now, get back to your positions, we leave in eight hours." said Blackweb.

.....Eight hours later...

As a group of NC soldiers crowded around the 'Liberty Bringer', not knowing of what may happen, brought with the banners, fireworks brought from Nanite Systems. But there was no time for speculation and possible celebration on-board the 'Liberty Bringer', for there was running about in every corridor, activity in every room, and absolutely no time for small talk. It was just do or die. Victory, or ultimate defeat. "Engine's ready." said Pirbi, in his engineer kit. "Copy, Gun Deck fitted and prepped." said WillTheThe, doing final calibrations on the guns. "Great, Bridge comms operational." said Falconbane, overlooking a digital map of the 'Liberty Bringer'. "Alright boys and girls, lets light this candle." said Blackweb over all channels.

Suddenly, a gigantic roar came from the back of the ship that was facing downwards. Slowly, the ship started to climb, gaining speed the higher it got. "And we are off!" said Blackweb to the NC on the ground. And as the ship gained speed, heading off the island, all of the island was filled with fireworks and screams of joy. "All right Phoenix Battalion, prepare for combat, Pirbi, prepare to overclock, and Will, train the guns on the closest Connery Battleship, I want to see it gone is a few minutes."

And with that said, the ship blasted off towards it's destination of a new future. But the shape of a Connery twice the size of the NC Matterson, went in front of the 'Liberty Bringer' training its guns onto the ship. "Pirbi, where the heck is my overclock!?" asked Blackweb, beads of sweat coming off his forehead. "Coming right up!" said Pirbi, turning dials and flipping switches. And suddenly, a bubble of dark blue covered the 'Liberty Bringer', bouncing off any shell or bullet that hit it. "Opening fire now would be nice Will." said Blackweb. "On it sir." said WillTheThe. Then, a massive blast of energy erupts from every stolen Vanu gun on the ship, smashing into the engines and hangar of the Connery. And after the residual energy of the guns cleared, it could be seen that all but a couple of the Connery's engines had been knocked out, and the hanger was left with a giant hole. Oh, but the chaos was not done yet, suddenly, small explosions started to erupt from the Bridge of the Connery, leaving it a hunk of smoldering metal.

Seeing that a ship, twice the size if their Matterson, had been vanquished by them, the NC let up a cry of victory that could have shooken the ground beneath them, if there was ground beneath them. "Alright, let's make it to the wormhole, full speed ahead, and Will." said Blackweb. "Yes sir?" asked WillTheThe over the intercom. "Fire at will, show them what happens when they try and stop us." said Blackweb, now with a look of triumph on his face.

The 'Liberty Bringer' soon made it's way through the fleet, crippling and dismantling everything that got in it's way. And the casualties of the fleet you may ask? Well the total would be: two crippled and/or destroyed Connery Battleships, one Briggs Cruiser, and one Morgannis Troop Transport.

But as they neared the wormhole, a new ship soon came into the viewport of the Bridge. "What is that thing!?" asked Blackweb with an element of surprise. "I don't know sir, seems like some sort of boarding craft, but on a massive scale. And I think it's heading towards us!" said Falconbane. "Prepare everyone for boarding!" said Blackweb, reaching for his EM6 LMG.

Engine Room, N.C.S. 'Liberty Bringer', Outside of the Wormhole, Who Knows What Time

As Jed and Potatohead were walking around their designated position, they heard Blackweb over the intercom. "Attention all hands, unidentified craft approaching, prepare for boarding." he said. "You heard him Potatohead, prepare for anything." said Jed, raising his Razor to chest-height, hoping to take down any TR to pop up. Then, just as Jed expected, a small, needle-like object lodged itself into the hole. "What do you suppose that thing is?" asked an Engineer. "No, get away from it!" screamed Jed. But he was too late, for the pod opened up, and a squad of TR came through it, and mowed down the Engineer. "Return Fire!" ordered Pirbi, raising his Gauss Compact S to fire on the TR.

But then, three more pods lodged themselves into the Engine Room's hull, bringing now a platoon's worth of troops into the room, including four MAX suits, one of which had dual fracture rockets. "Take cover!" said Potatohead, pulling Jed out of the way as NC and TR clashed inside the closed spaces of the Engine Room. "Frag out!" said one of the engineers, pulling the pin and letting the cylinder-shaped grenade fall into a section of TR, turning them and the walls redder than before. "Follow me Potato." said Jed, using his jump-jets to fly up to the top of an Auraxium storage tank. "On it." said Potatohead, following Jed. As they go to the top of the tanks, the let loose a hail of bullets, and grenades onto the TR, whose MAXes had focused their attention on the pair. "RUN!" said Jed, jumping from the tank. And as the pair jumped from the tank, it soon caught fire. "Everyone! Run, it going to explode!" screamed Jed, but he was too late, for the tank soon erupted, letting loose a force of purple fire that soon made the other tanks catch fire, causing a chain reaction. And all Jed could remember seeing before he blacked out from the explosion was Pirbi and the Engineers get swallowed up by the fire of the Auraxium tanks.

.....30 minutes later.....

As Jed awoke from the sound of a blazing siren and scraping metal, all he could see was fire and a few dots of red. 'Owwww, my head.' Jed thought to himself. He then heard the sounds of what was thought to be moaning. Jed then reached for his Razor, only to find it no there. "Must have been destroyed in the explosion." said Jed to himself. He then reached for his Commissioner, glad to see it was still there. He then went towards the source of the moaning, his revolver out.

He was then greeted with a sight of horror, the burnt and dismembered bodies of NC and TR alike. "Oh God." said Jed to himself, putting his hand to his mouth. And as he made his way through the bodies, the moaning intensified. "Wh...Who's there?" asked Jed through his pain. "J...Jed?" asked the voice. Jed then recognized the voice he had fought countless battles with. "Potato!" screamed Jed with glee, soon wincing in pain. He soon followed the voice, only to find Potatohead crushed over a steel beam, with one arm pinned. "Wow Potatohead, really in a mess this time huh?" said Jed, trying to put a light of humor in the predicament. "Stop it with the humor, help me get this beam off me." said Potatohead, trying to push it off with his free hand. Jed soon rushed to his friend's side, trying his best to push the heavy steel beam off his friend, but to no avail. "I can't, it's stuck." said Jed, showing a face of defeat. Blackweb's voice is then heard over the intercom. "Attention *cough* all crew members *cough cough* I believe it is time to abandon ship, the engines are shot, and all guns have overheated and /or exploded. *cough* All remaining personnel report to the hanger to board modified Galaxies. *cough cough* The best of luck *cough* luck to all of you."

"Look, forget about me Jed, this war need men like you, go ahead I'll be fine." said Potatohead. "What do you think you are doing man!?" asked Jed. "Take my Rebel, I believe it is my time to leave this war." said Potatohead, using his free hand to grab his LA8 Rebel, a powerful sidearm with the same model of an NC4 Mag-Shot. "No.. I.. I can't do it, I'll get you out of here." said Jed, tears welling in his eyes. "No, do it, now that's an order." said Potatohead, pushing the Rebel into Jed's hands. "I..I.. I'm so sorry." said Jed, putting the pistol to his friend's head. "Don't be. Maybe I'll finally meet your family." said Potatohead, a smile forming. "I'll see you some day." said Jed. "Goodbye freedom-fighter, fight on." said Potato head, closing his eyes, waiting for the inevitable. Jed then turns his head, "See you when the fight is fought." he said, and pulls the trigger, making a bang that resounds throughout the room. Potato's body then goes limp, finally free of strain.

Jed, not wanting to see his friends remains, turns around, and marches towards the hangar, leaving behind a single tear.

N.C.S. 'Liberty Bringer' Hangar, Somewhere Near the Wormhole, Who Knows What Time

As Jed limped his way into the hangar, he could see that the last of the Galaxy's were about to take off. He then made his way to the closest Galaxy, which was nearly full and took a seat next to a battered Heavy Assault. "Hey, how are you?" the HA asks. Jed then recognizes the voice as the Battalion's C.O. "Captain Blackweb sir!" answers Jed, standing at attention. "Sit down Corporal." says Blackweb. "So, you are the only survivor of the Engine Room, what happened?" asks Blackweb. "Um, sir, four TR boarding pods made their way into the Engine Room and took out everyone and blew the Auraxium Storage Tanks. I was lucky to make it out alive." said Jed, looking at the floor of the Galaxy. "Hey you look very messed up, let me get you a patch gauss. said Blackweb, pulling out a piece of cloth, and applied it to Jed's wounds. "Thank you sir." said Jed, grateful for the charity of his superior. "Not a problem," says Blackweb, putting the rest of the gauss back, "The only problem I have is that this Galaxy is full and we are not moving, come on pilot! What's the hold-up?"

"Um sir, just doing some final calibrations," says the pilot through the slits in the parts separating the cockpit to the passenger area. "Aannnddd, we're off!" And the Galaxy takes off, leaving behind the wreckage of the 'Liberty Bringer', and soon joins the rest of the fleet that heads through the wormhole, to an unknown future. "So, Blackweb, I was wondering who attacked us, because I did not see that ship jump from space. More like it came from Auraxis." said Jed. "Well, remember when I said the TR might know of the wormhole? Well I was able to get a look at the back of the head of one of the boarders, and it seems it was TRAF that boarded us." explained Blackweb. "Okay, now I know who to shoot when we get back to fighting." said Jed.

Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville, Equestria, Equis, 10:37 AM

As Twilight was re-re-re-reading a few of the many books she kept in the library, she couldn't help but remember at what had happened the night before.

...Last Night...

As Twilight spent another night of observing the mixture of colors outside of the planet, she swore that she saw something weird come out of the colors; a group of about twenty-or-so flying objects that looked like nothing she had ever seen. But Twilight soon shrugged to sighting off as nothing more as a trick of the stars. She then continued to take notes for a few more minutes until a huge object then came out of the mixture, the color of red.

Twilight, appalled at the sight, soon stopped taking notes, and went to sleep, hoping that her eyes were tired and playing tricks on her.

...Back to Present Day..

As Twilight was recalling the night before, a certain purple and green dragon walked into the room. "Is there something wrong Twilight?" asked Spike, worried about her friend. "I'm fine Spike, just recalling something.. something very strange I saw last night." said Twilight, still perplexed about the two sights she saw last night. "Well, I just want to remind you that you have flying practice with Rainbow Dash in a few hours after she finishes her 'work'." said Spike, who knew that 'work' meant sleeping and getting it done last-second. "Thank you Spike, I'm sure Princess Celestia will appreciate me learning about my new wings." said Twilight. "Now if you will excuse me, I have bit of rereading to catch up on." says Twilight, going back to the book titled, "Your Wings and You".

Everfree Forest, Equestria, Equis, 5:27 AM

As Jed , Blackweb, and the other Galaxy's landed in a small clearing, they soon realized that this planet had an entirely different ecosystem than Auraxis. It even had trees similar to those on Amerish. "Alright men, it's not time to look at our new terrain, I want tents set up to house everyone and to help the wounded. And just in case the Terrans followed us, set up a few MANA turrets for defense." said Blackweb, directing troops into positions.

Soon, the clearing started to look like a real camp; tents set up in rows to house the wounded and tired, and a few larger tents used to serve food. And a couple of terminals jerry-rigged by a couple of Engineers.

And as Jed walked around the sets of tents, he had a feeling of wanting to know what the casualties was, to see how many others died with Potato. He then saw SnowSheltie talking with a tall Heavy Assault. Jed then walked to the officer, and did an old fashioned salute. "At ease Corporal." said the Second-in-Command. "Oh, and this is BonesxMcoy, leader of Delta Squad in 1st Platoon."

"Hello there." says Bones, bringing out his hand for a handshake. Jed then shakes the hand, and turns to SnowSheltie. "UM sir, I was wondering if I could have a look at the casualty report?" asks Jed. "Sure, here you go." says Sheltie, pulling out a datapad with a list of names. "We have a total of 173 KIA, 293 WIA, and a total of 1534 Ready for Combat."

"Thank you sir, it will be a pleasure to get back at those TR." says Jed, now with a face full of bravery showing. "Now hold on Corporal, before you leave us, I just wanted to let you know you are being transferred to Delta squad, for that is what Bones and me were talking about before you showed up. It seems they lost their six, and you seem to have great references from other squads." said Sheltie. "W..wow, thank you sir! I will not let you down!" said Jed, doing another salute. "At ease, now go and help out around the camp or whatever, Bones and me have other things to discuss." said Sheltie, turning back to Bones.

And with that said, Jed goes away from the pair.

Back at Jed's tent, Jed thought it was about time to go and try out one of the new protein packs that they were serving in the mess. But as he was about to leave, Bones walked into the tent. "Um, sir!" said Jed, doing yet yet another salute. "At ease Corporal, we are having a squad meeting in 30 minutes. Just letting you know." said Bones. "I'll be there sir." said Jed. "Okay Corporal, now, do whatever you were about to do, I'm going to go try out my new NS weapons." said Bones. But before Bones could leave the tent, the two heard WillTheThe's voice over platoon chat, "This is Lieutenant WillTheThe of Alpha patrol, we have encountered a TR force in our patrol and are in it deep right now, requesting support!"

Then, the sound of rushing footsteps and moving vehicles surround the tent. "Okay, scratch the squad meeting, Jed, grab your gun and lets get the rest of the squad together." said Bones, pulling out an NS-15M LMG. "Um, sir, I kinda lost my Razor when the 'Liberty Bringer' went down." said Jed. "Okay, I'll get the squad, you go to the nearest terminal and get a new gun, and we will group up at the squad Galaxy I always keep pulled." said Bones.

Bones then walked towards the other tents, probably to go look for the other squad members. But Jed ran towards the nearest Infantry Terminal. 'New planet. New Gun.' he thought to himself. He then walked up to an Infantry terminal and began to scroll through the different guns he bought over the years. AF-19's, GD-7F's, even more Razor GD- 23's, and even a couple of AC-X11's. But then, there was one weapon that caught Jed's eyes: an NS 11C Carbine, a well balanced over all carbine. Jed then bought a few attachments for it; a 2x reflex sight, a forward grip, and a compensator. "This will do nicely." Jed said to himself. Then, a green mist surrounded him, and the NS carbine took shape at his arms. "Nice." said Jed.

Suddenly, Bones' voice came over the squad chat. "Attention Delta squad, I want you to group up and load into the galaxy marked by the squad waypoint. You have one minute or we are leaving you."

Hearing this, Jed soon rushed over to the galaxy he had seen earlier, to only see that the rest of the squad had lined up next to it. Jed then took his place in the line, only to get questionable glances from the squad. "What do you think you are doing here jetboy?" asked one of the Heavy Assaults in a gruff voice. "Same as you, I was picked for Delta." said Jed, not at all phased by the LMG toting Heavy Assault. "Hah! You!? Picked for this squad? Now I've seen everything!" the Heavy Assault said.

"I believe that is true Mcgee." said Bones, suddenly walking up onto the squad in the middle of their banter. "Sir, are you really saying that I'll be serving alongside this fruit-bar?" asked Mcgee. "Yes, yes I am, and I don't want you thinking you are better than him, he earned his place in the squad like all of you did. Now, get into the Galaxy, we are dropping onto Will's position to provide support." said Bones, glaring daggers at Mcgee.

And with the order given, the squad loaded into the Galaxy, with Jed being one of the side gunners, manning an M20 Drake multi-purpose weapon. And after the rest of the squad got into the Galaxy, it took of towards the first battle on a new planet.

Ponyville, Equestria, Equis, 10:37 AM

As Rainbow Dash was doing her job of clearing out clouds for a scheduled clear day in Ponyville, she began to hear some weird noises coming from the Everfree Forest. "What the hay is that?" she asked herself. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw the figures of her five friends. "Hey girls!" she said, which was soon followed by a crates worth of greetings from the five. "Have you girls heard the noises coming from the forest?" asked Rainbow Dash.

That is exactly the reason we came to you, Princess Celestia sent me a letter asking me to investigate some weird sightings in the Everfree Forest." said Twilight. "I bet ten bits that its aliens with Applejack!" said Pinkie Pie, with a tray of cupcakes balanced on her tail. "And what are the cupcakes for Pinkie?" asked Rainbow Dash. "If the aliens are hungry silly!" said Pinkie.

"And Ah' keep tellin' ya' that aliens don't exist. If aliens existed, then we'd have found them long ago." said Applejack. "Annnd that's the reason we made the bet!" said Pinkie.

"We can talk about this bet latter girls, the princess said it was of the upmost importance." said Twilight. " Can we please hurry this along darling, I believe I left the stove on at the boutique." said Rarity, with saddlebags full of sketchbooks, quills, and ink. "And what are those for?" asked Rainbow Dash out of curiosity.

"Oh, just in case I find any inspiration while on this little escapade." said Rarity. "Now about my stove..."

"I'm sorry Rarity but this is very important for the sake of Equestria." said Twilight with a serious face. "and wah' would t be a threat to Equestria?" asked Applejack. "Because last night, I saw some weird looking objects come out of the mixture of colors I've been monitoring for the past few days. The first to come out were a group of about twenty or so objects, but what came behind the group. Well, it was like nothing I've ever seen. But I the only thing I could make sense of them is their colors, red and blue." said Twilight, a look of worry plastered on her face. "But considering it was very late at night, I just considered that my eyes were playing tricks on me and went to bed. But now, well I believe these two separate instances are actually connected."

"See! I knew there were aliens! They are probably a group of bipedal hairless apes that fight each other for dominance of a far of planet, that in some parts that are a mystery to them!" said Pinkie Pie. "Yeaaahhh, sure." said Rainbow Dash. "Come on girls, lets go see if my suspicions are correct." said Twilight, leading the group into the forest.

"Are y-you sure Twilight, I mean, I've heard from my animal friends that there's increasing Timberwolf activity on the outskirts of the forest. Even my bear friend is afraid of it." said Fluttershy meekly. "I'm sure we will be fine Fluttershy, you have my word." said Twilight. " Now come on girls!" And as the group followed the lavender princess, towards an unknown discovery.

Delta Squad's Galaxy, Above the Tree Line of the Northern Everfree Forest, 10:40 AM

"Thirty second until the drop ladies!" bellowed Bones over the engine noise.

But in all the excitement in the Galaxy, Jed was the only one scared. He wondered what it would be like to fight Terrans on a whole new world, and that he was afraid he would die, because if he died, that was it.

"Fifteen seconds!" bellowed Bones.

Jed then decided not to think about it, and readied his NS-11C for combat on a new terrain. Ready to be able to be free of Terrans.

"Drop, drop, drop!" said Bones, he himself jumping out of the Galaxy.

Soon, all of the squad jumped out, letting a streak of blue rain down upon the attacking Terrans. And while jumping down, Jed got a good look at WillTheThe's position; MAXes trying their hardest to fight against the unending horde of black and red. Medics could barely make it of a makeshift foxhole without getting shot at. And the Infiltrators, Engineers, and Light Assaults, well, lets just say that the are helping the foliage grow in their own respect. And Heavy Assaults were laying down suppressive fire with LMG's and rockets.

Jed the used the branches of the trees to shoot at the Terrans, taking down two Medics and one Light Assault before having to reload. Soon the squad began to make a bit of a mess as well, taking down MAX suits and any Terran in their sights.

But the Terrans soon got out of the befuddled state the Gal drop had gotten them into, soon firing on Jed and Delta, taking out a couple of Medics. But Jed kept firing, trying to buy as much time for Will as possible.

But then, a dual Onslaught MAX soon sighted Jed and started to rake the tree with his dual chainguns, taking off bark and limbs alike. Jed then used his jets to hop from tree to tree, hoping that each time the MAX had lost him, but to no avail.

Jed then tried to get to the top of the trees, only to find a group of three Light Assaults, two of which had the standard issued TRAC-5 Carbine, but the middle one had a T5-AMC Carbine. "Time to die terrorist." said the middle one in a gruff voice. "I think not." said Jed, soon charging with his NS-11C.

The first two soon reacted, leveling their TRAC-5's to fire on him. But Jed thought smarter than this, and used his jumpjets to fly over the pair.

They the had him surrounded on two sides, with weapons raised. But as they pulled the triggers on their guns, Jed soon utilized a trick as old as Auraxis, And flopped to the leaves of the trees as the bullets barley grazed his jetpack. And as Jed looked up from his little trick, to see the group fallen to the ground, crumpled from the force of their own bullets.

"Huh, well that clears those three for a while." said Jed. He then pulled out his NS carbine, ready for more combat, until he felt a tap on his shoulder. And the face he was greeted with was none other than the face of the Terran with the T5-AMC Carbine. "Man I love Medics." he said, before digging his chainblade into Jed jetpack.

But instead of a blade digging into his spine, Jed began to hear the sound of his jetpack igniting. "Oh no, this isn't good." said Jed. "Oh I'm not done with you yet." said the Terrans, lifting Jed from the tree line.

Soon, more sparks ignited in the jetpack, only to unleash a mighty blaze that blasted the two Light Assaults in to the air, in mid-flight hand to hand combat.

Everfree Outskirts, Equestria, Equis, 10:52 AM

As the Mane Six headed to the edge of the Everfree Forest, Pinkie's tail suddenly began to twitch. "Twitch-a-twitch girls! Take cover!" said Pinkie, soon jumping behind an overturned tree.

Suddenly, two flying creatures, not of the Everfree, landed just mere feet away from the group.

But what was most strange about them was the colors that they wore, red and blue. Then, the red one pulled a sharp, knife-like object from the blue one's back and kicked the blue away. 'What are they doing here?' Twilight asked herself, perplexed by their arrival.

The red soon looked like he was winning, kicking the blue one all over the place. And as he was about to finish the job and bring his knife-ish looking object onto the blue's neck. The blue one then pulled out a weird looking contraption and blew a hole in the red's face. "What the buck was that!?" asked Rainbow Dash, with a face of confusion and horror. The blue one then heard Rainbow, and turned to face them, but soon fell over, red liquid running down his side.

The Everfree Forest Sky line, Over Equestria, 10:50 AM

As Jed and the Light Assault flew out of control on the jetpack, the Terran was able to land a few well placed punches on Jed's face, enough to make him face downwards. "We're gonna crash!" said Jed. And sure enough, they hit the ground seconds later, covered in grass and mud.

And even though they were both equally beaten up, the Terran was the first to get up, and pulled his Chainblade out of Jed's jetpack. "Get up rebel scum!" ordered the Terran, kicking Jed repeatedly in the stomach. "I guess it's time to finish the job." said the Light Assault, raising his Chainblade above Jed's neck. But Jed soon felt something against his thigh, and soon realized that it was none other than his Commissioner! Jed then pulled it out and aimed it at the Terran. "Yeah, I guess it is." said Jed, and pulled the trigger, driving the .44 caliber bullet into the Terran's skull, leaving a hole where part of it's brain was located.

But before Jed could return to the battlefield, he heard a woman-like voice behind him. He turned to meet this new voice, to be greeted with the shocked faces of a group of... equines. "What the...." said Jed, but suddenly, his vision got really blurry, and he fell over, unconscious.

"I guess I do owe yah' ten bits." said Applejack, handing ten gold coins to Pinkie Pie.

Chapter 2: Discovery

Everfree Outskirts, Equestria, Equis, 11:02 AM

"Stay back everypony!" said Twilight, "It could be still conscious." As they moved in slowly, they began to make out facial features of the creature that just fell from the sky. "What in the name of Celestia is this being doing here!?" asked Twilight, as perplexed and in shock as ever. "What do ya mean Twilight, nopony has ever seen this type of creature before?" said Applejack, even more perplexed than Twilight.

"Well Applejack, that not entirely true." said Twilight. "Huh?" asked the rest of the Mane six in a state of confusion. "What do you mean darling, surely your not saying that this species was discovered by ponykind?" asked Rarity. "Actually, it was me who discovered this species." said Twilight, "Remember when Sunset Shimmer stole my crown from me when I was staying at the Crystal Empire?" The rest of the Mane six nodded their heads in agreement. "Well, let me tell you what happened when I stepped into the portal..." said Twilight.

One Equestria Girls Exposition Later

"... and then I stepped through the portal as it was about to close, and landed back here." said Twilight, finally finishing the incredibly long story. "So your telling me that the creature that landed here ,from Luna knows where, is from the world that you visited that was full of duplicates of us, except in the form of that creature, I mean human?" asked Rainbow Dash, rubbing her head in confusion. "Yep, I got to admit, it was weird at first, but then I just imagined you girls were here with me." said Twilight. "Rarity, are you finished putting the gauze on the wound?"

"Um, yes dear. I just don't know why we had to use the cinnamon colored cloth I brought with me incase I found any new design ideas." said Rarity, finishing up the knot on the cloth. "Yes Rarity, it was either that or your diamond encrusted velvet cloth." said Rainbow, reminding her of the decision they had to make to save the creature Twilight called a 'hewman'.

"Don't you dare bring up the hardest decision I've ever had to make Rainbow Dash! I wish to forget such a travesty." said Rarity. "Well, there is something different about this human, it looks like its the color of Time Turner, but a little lighter. The ones I met had the colors of your coats on their skin." said Twilight, "Well, we can debate this later when we get back to the library, its not safe out here with the recent Timberwolf activity. Besides its getting dark."

Golden Oaks Library, Equestria, Equis, 11:08 PM

As the ponies headed back to the library, they began to hear some rustling in the bushes. "Who's that?! Who's there!" asked Fluttershy, shivering in fear. "Oh it probably nothing Flutters, its best to focus on the task of keeping the 'hew-man' alive." said Rainbow Dash, trying to put words of fear into Fluttershy. As they got back into the library, they put Jed up onto the kitchen table to investigate the partly- alive body.

"What the hay is this thing?" asks Applejack, holding up Jed's NS-44 Commissioner. "We don't have time for whatever dohickeys that the person has, help me stabilize him, you know more about medical treatment, with how many cuts, scrapes and other injuries from working on the farm." said Twilight, trying to use a spell that increases cellular regeneration, but to no avail.
"Alright sugarcube, but I'm going to need some needle's and thread, Rarity?" asked Applejack, "Do you have any needles or thread in that pouch of yours?"

"Oh, of course darling, here you go." said Rarity, levitating Applejack some needle and thread. "Thanks sugarcube, now Twilight, I need you to put some pressure on that cut while I stitch it up." said Applejack. As Twilight put pressure on the knife cut, Applejack was able to put some stitches into the open wound with her mouth and sewed the wound shut. "Ugh, really Applejack, did you have to use your mouth to sew up the bloody mess of a wound?" asked Rarity in disgust. "Well, it was either that or use my hooves, and its not like I have those thing Twilight calls 'hands'." said Applejack. As soon as she said that though, she began to hear the sound of a half Old Canterlot voice. "Princess Sparkle! Thou and thy friends has found the monster that has been making though horrid dreams!" said the voice.

"Princess Luna!, what are you doing there?" asked Twilight. "We have been seeing dreams of things that no pony must see, it seems thou found the source before we did. And it seems thy creature has been injured and has been saved by you six." said Princess Luna. "Yes Princess Luna, we found the creature outside the Everfree Forest and brought it back for medical treatment in a partly proper facilities. Let me tell you how I know it mostly peaceful." said Twilight.

One Shorter Equestria Girls Exposition Later

"So, that is how thou knows about the creatures origin, and explains what is beyond the portal." said Luna, not at all phased of what Twilight calls a 'short story'. "During your story, we sent a letter to the medical staff at Canterlot to set up a room for a 'special guest and arranged a guarded train to send us to Canterlot. Come now we have a bit of a journey ahead of us.

As they headed to the train station, they began to hear the same rustling from before, but they didn't pay too much attention to it this time, considering they had the Princess of the Night with them. And as they boarded the train, the had no idea that some 'extra' passengers had boarded alongside them.

Chapter 3: 'One small step for man, one giant leap for pony-kind'

The Canterlot-Ponyville Rail line, Equestria, Equis, 9:37 PM

As the Mane 6 and Princess Luna sat in the Passenger Car, they began to actually worry for the 'hew-man'. "Um...... do you think it's going to make it Twilight?" said Fluttershy, the most worried of the bunch. "Yes Fluttershy, for the tenth time, yes. During my spare time as a filly studying under Celestia, I would read up in Canterlot medical history, and they have never lost a patient." said Twilight, trying her best to calm down Fluttershy.

While they were sitting and waiting for the train to reach Canterlot, Twilight thought it best to look at what the newest to Equestria brought with it. "Aw sweet! Look at the things it had on its back! They look just like Pegasus wings." said Rainbow Dash, with her face full of shock and awe. "Maybe it can fly!"

"Well it must not have been a very good pilot to crash like that." said Applejack. "You know girls, while I was looking at its face, I noticed that it has a mouth!" said Pinkie Pie, as energetic as ever to finding a different species on Equestria."Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, that means it must eat! I really hope he loves cupcakes so I can bake a bakers dozen when we get to Canterlot."

"He?!" said the rest of the Mane six. "Yea, he does have the face of a stallion, minus the muzzle and big eyes. And he does have a gruff-and-tuff look to him. And besides him not being a pony, he looks like any other stallion you'd meet." said Pinkie Pie, trying to sound sophisticated. "Well, you can't argue with Pinkie's excessive amount of social knowledge." said Applejack. And with that said, they decided to go through Jed's stuff once more.

20 minutes later

As it started to get later into the night, Twilight thought it would be better if they took watches over Jed's possessions and body. It was Twilight's and Luna's turn when the heard a strange noise. "Who goes there! The Princess of the Night demands it!" Luna demanded. Suddenly, three other humans, dressed in red and black, appeared out of nowhere. "Who are thee! We demand an answer!" said Luna, trying her best to hide her fear for the humans carrying long constructs that appeared for war. "We mean you no harm equine, just hand over the rebel, and no one gets shot, you comprehend?" said the tallest one, in a sleek, and silver-tongued voice. "Or does you small horse brain not understand what my mighty Terran brain can understand?"

"HOW DARE THEE INSULT OUR INTELECT! YOU SHALL NOW FACE THE POWER OF THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT!" said Luna, enraged that this 'Terran' just made fun of one of the most powerful beings on Equestria. And as soon as she said that sentence, the three 'Terrans', leveled their long poles to her muzzle. "Make one move, and we plow your primitive brain out!" said a gruffer one. "Now, take us to the rebel nicely, and we might think about not putting you in slavery." said the one that insulted her.

Meanwhile

As the rest of the ponies were sleeping, they heard a voice come from the human's car that sounded as sleek and venom filled as a rattlesnake. "What the hay is going on in there?" asked Applejack, she then heard what sounded like Princess Luna screaming. "Girls, wake up!" said Applejack, trying not to alert whatever was with Luna and Twilight. Rainbow Dash was the first to wake up. "What the buck is it AJ, I was having the best Wonderbolt dream ever." said Rainbow, half awake.

"I don't care about you're dreams Rainbow, I just heard Luna screamin' in the human's car. Lets go check it out." said Applejack. As they were about to walk into the car, Rainbow Dash went and picked up the device Jed used to blow a bit of that (apparently other) human's head off. "Why in the name of Luna's moon, would we need that?" asked Applejack. "Just in case there is any trouble behind that door, you never know." said RD.

While Luna and Twilight are hostages/prisoners

"Fine, thou wins, we will take you to your 'rebel'." said Luna, sorrowful, having to admit defeat to a person that apparently only uses trash talk as weapons. As they were about to take them to Jed, the door burst open to show Rainbow holding Jed's revolver, and Applejack. "What the heck do you think your doing primitive?" asked the apparent leader of the group. "You don't even know how to use it." They then started to laugh at seeing a primitive equine holding a dangerous sidearm. "You know, at first we were just gonna enslave all of you, but now were just going to kill you all and loot the train for the rebel." said the leader.

Finally, Rainbow Dash tried holding the gun the way the soldiers were with her wings . "Thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather keep my right to live." said Rainbow, before pulling the trigger and landing a hit in the leader's neck. "Sergeant down! Pull back!" said the smaller of the bunch. "This is not over, equine." said the gruff one. The now leaderless duo then ran to the end of the train and jumped into a nearby bush and disappeared.

"What did I just do?!" said Rainbow Dash, "I just killed somepony! Oh my bucking Celestia! I just killed somepony!" As she said this, the body of the Sergeant dissolved into a green mist. "What the hay!? That body just dissolved into some sort of green mist!" said Applejack, in a state of awe. But as she said this RD went into a corner and started to curl up into a ball of mixed emotion, mumbling to herself. "Why....... why did I need to kill him, I... I could have just hit his leg." she mumbled.

Twilight, seeing this, rushed over to her friend and tried to put some words of encouragement into her. "There is no reason to act like that Rainbow, if you had not shot him, we might have died." Suddenly, RD realized why she had done it and regained her senses. "Your right Twilight, I'm sorry for acting this way, I've got to keep my 20% cooler attitude or people might think I've gone soft." she said, her ego now back to normal. (well, her normal)"She's back." said Applejack. With that said, the four go back to sleep.

Canterlot, Equestria, Equis, 11:12 PM

When the Mane 6, Luna, and their 'Precious Cargo' arrived at the train station, they were directed to a underground hospital full of doctors and nurses. "This facility was put in place after my banishment to help all the weak and sick in Canterlot at the time," said Princess Luna, "As far as I know, this place is the best medical facility in all of Equestria." As she was saying this, they were guided into a white walled room, with a longer-than-normal bed and other hospital tools. "This is where the patient will be held until he has recovered enough to walk or talk to us." said Luna, pointing to the room.

As they set Jed on a table, a group of doctors came in and started to examine the body. "Why are they not curious about are new visitor?" said Twilight. "While we were on the train, I began to send scrolls to the staff that would be treating him. They seemed confused and worried at first, but then they calmed down." said Luna.

Finally, one of the doctors spoke up," From what we can tell so far, he has lost a lot of blood, and his biological signature I somewhat similar to ours. It's a miracle he is even breathing, I give my uh, how you say, cutos, to whoever treated him." he said. "But there is one thing I can't quite put my hoof on, I have been able to find traces of metal deep within it's body. Like he has experienced wounds far greater than that of today."

"Well, we can ask him about it when we wake up, but how long until he recovers?" asked Luna. "Oh I'd say a few days, considering we already have some of the most qualified unicorns in our staff." said the doctor. "Very well then, girls, I think its time for you to retire to slumber, and for me to watch the night. We have already set up your rooms." said Luna. And with that said, the Mane 6 retired to their designated rooms.

Celestia know how many days later

"Why hello my little ponies, it very nice to see you on this day. I have just heard that our guest is regaining consciousness. How about we go and speak to the newest visitor to Equestria." said Celestia as she walked into the dining hall. "This is going to be great! I used some of the castles supplies to make the perfect bakers dozen of cupcakes!" said Pinkie.

As they walked into the white walled room, they saw the body of the human, hooked to all sorts of medical equipment. "I wonder what he is dreaming about?" asked Fluttershy. "I wonder if its about where he came from."

Jed's Dream Realm, Jed's Dream Realm, Who knows What Time

Jed's dream, it was not what most soldiers would dream about. His dreams would find him on Auraxis, working at where his grandfather worked before the war. The Auger, a mining pit that supplied Auraxis with various minerals. He always told Jed as a young boy, that it was possibly the place on Auraxis to work. He would talk about the times of when he and his co-workers would bungee jump into the pit when the TR officials were not looking. But suddenly, all of his world turned into a white light. He then found himself in a white-walled room.

'No, I can't be dead. I just can't' He thought to himself. He then realized that he wasn't dead, and that he was in a hospital bed. But was most peculiar is that there were seven horse-like creatures staring at him. And as soon as they saw that he was awake, they began to pelt him with questions. Most of them were about his species, but one that stood out to him was one asking if he wanted a 'cupcake'. 'What the heck is a cupcake?' he asked himself.

But what most caught his attention, was the fact that most of the equines were colored pink or purple. And from all his years of fighting, he new one thing. Pink or Purple= Vanu. Before he sprang into action, he realized that the left his NS-44G commissioner next to him. 'These must be some weird Vanu inventions that they engineered.' he thought to himself.

Finally, one of the equines, a purple/lavender one, stepped up to him, about to ask another question. But before she could even speak, Jed grabbed his Commissioner, grabbed the lavender pony, pointed the gun to her head and said, "You do realized you cult-heads just helped on of the most feared Vanu killers on Auraxis, so I suggest that you let me out of here, or I will blow her brains out.

But instead of acting on the sentence, they were in a state of shock and disbelief, but one just said, "So. No cupcake?"

Author's Note

So, we have a hostage situation on our hands? That's what you get for being Supreme Overlord Magicy Alicorn Sparkle Twiley Princess Twilight!

Chapter 4: Questions

Canterlot Hospital, Equestria, Equis, 9:24 AM

As Jed backed away to the exit door, leaving the hostage's comrades in disbelief, his hostage spoke up. "Please, d-don't hurt me or my friends m-mister, we just seek peace, and h-h-harmony." it said. "Wait a second. You creatures can talk?!" Jed said, his brain now in a mix of confusion and hurt. "No matter, once I'm out of here, I gonna leave this crazy race of technicolor equines, join up with the rest of PHX, and get off this god-forsaken planet."

As Jed headed out of the building, he was temporarily blinded by the sight of light that came with coming out of an underground hospital and from being unconscious for who knows how long. And as he regained sight, he realized that he was surrounded by armored equines with basic metal spears. "Oh come on, you really think you can stop me when I have one of your fellow equines at gun point. Plus, you just have spears! Your race is a laughingstock at weapons!" said Jed, with a cocky attitude.

"You dare hold a princess of Equestria!" said one in a very deep voice. "If you let her go, we may let you live." As he said this, Jed held the gun closer to her head. "Well you should realize that I am from the New Conglomerate, and you know what? We don't take any prisoners, and we don't take any shit!" said Jed, and when he pulled the trigger, expecting to hear a loud bang, all he got was just a click. "What the hell did you do to my Commissioner?!" he said.

"You had your chance, 'New Conglomerate' guy, now you shall perish." said the apparent leader. As he said this the group of 10 equines around him charged at Jed. Seeing this as a chance to go down fighting, Jed pulled out his Magcutter and went to work at the equines. The leader was the first and easiest one to go down. For all it took was a slice to the neck. The next one took him by surprise by jumping on his back and putting a spear point to his neck. But as he was about to strike, Jed was able to shove his Magcutter into his hoof, and slicing it up to his eye socket. With the second one done, he then moved on and finished off the third one with a simple stab to the nervous system. And after seeing this gruesome sight, the rest turn and run away.

"Well, that's what they get when they mess with the NC." said Jed, invigorated with the taste of combat. But as he was about to walk away, a bright light erupted overhead and a white pony that was bigger than the rest came down upon him. "Who do you think you are, trying to hold Princess Twilight captive, and killing three of my personal bodyguards!" she said, "What authority do you have to this much panic, even after we treated you with hospitality!".

"Look lady, I don't have time for this, I'm just going to leave right now, join up with my group, and leave this place, okay? I don't have time to be lectured by a wanna-be Drill Sergeant." said Jed as he walked to the outskirts of the forest. But as he was about to head into the forest, the tall equine landed in front of him." I'm sorry, but I can not allow you to be free where you can hurt my friends and subjects." She said, and as she said this , her horn glowed a strange gold color and when it touched Jed, everything went into a bright flash."Princess Celestia!" yelled Twilight as she ran towards her mentor, "Is.. is he dead?"

"No Twilight, merely unconscious, he will be like this for a few hours, enough for the guards to take him down to the dungeon so that we may interrogate him on his species and, hopefully find out why he is different from the ones you encountered." said Princess Celestia, relieved that her student is okay.

Canterlot Dungeons, Equestria, Equis, 11:17 AM

As Jed woke up, he felt a sharp throbbing in his head. "Aww man, my head." he said tiredly. And as he got a better look at his surroundings, he realized that he was not in his NC standard-issue tent. But in a primitive jail cell! "Oh come on! Just for once I wish that it was a dream! I've been fighting TR and VS for over 200 years, and yet I get captured by equines!" he said. "Silence alien! You will not speak unless you are spoken to! Besides, I'm reading the new edition of the "Canterlot Post"." said a gruff looking pony that had the look of an NC Drill Sergeant.

"Who do you think you are, bossing a Corporal from Phoenix Battalion!" bellowed Jed with authority. "Well you are now a prisoner of our glorious leader Princess Celestia." said the pony. "Well, if I'm prisoner of this 'Princess Celestia', then I'll just have to go and bust myself out." said Jed.

"Well there will be no need for that will there?" said a white equine as she decended down a set of stairs next to Jed's cell," I just merely want some answers as to why you attacked my prized pupil."

"Well, let me see, I was in a room full of speaking equines, most of them had the color of Vanu, I had my apparently empty wepon next to me, and I did not want to be taken prisoner again."said Jed. "I see, and what exactly are these , um, Vanu?" asked Celestia, unaware of what answer might come out. "Veeeeeeeeery long story, but in short, a bunch of scientists that love this alien tech on our planet, use laser pointers, and wear spandex."

"Okay, forget I asked that, um, how about, why you killed three of my royal guards, tried to kill Twilight Sparkle, and did all that when we basically brought you back from the dead?" asked Celestia. "Well, okay, um, you see, when I first saw the purple, I thought I was going to be taken prisoner again, and I really didn't want to kill her, she was just insurance incase I met any trouble from your guards, I was just gonna be on my merry way and join up with my squad and find a way off this planet." answered Jed.

"This 'squad' of yours, it must be very important." said Celestia. "Teamwork is an important part of an army, we act as brothers towards each other, as we all fight for the same cause." said Jed in a tender voice. "That cause being?" asked Celestia. "To fight for freedom , our motto is 'Fight For Your Future', we fight against oppression and tyranny, and we never stop fighting." answered Jed as if were giving a speech to a batch of new recruits.

"Your cause, it seems just, but what about the people you harm in the way?" asked Celestia to counteract this speech. "Well, you see, um, we kinda don't, considering how most of the people we meet try to kill us." said Jed. "Lets move on from what we believe, I want to know more about your world."

"Well, where do I start, we live in Equestria, one of the many countries on this world, my sister and I raise and lower the sun and the moon, and we are completely peaceful." said Celestia. "Wait WHAT!? You have multiple countries on this planet that are not at war, your completely peaceful, and this is what REALLY confuses me, you say that you and your sister raise the SUN and the MOON. It defies all logic and astronomical physics!" said Jed astonishingly.

"It's actually very simple, my sister Luna and I just use our magic and have the sun and moon orbit around us." explained Celestia. "Are you serious?! It's the planet that orbits around the Sun, but the moon bit is all fine." said Jed. "I see, so your people don't raise the sun and moon where you come from, which is where exactly? Because you don't seem like the humans Twilight spoke about." asked Celestia.

"My people and the TR hail from a far off planet named Auraxis, because of political issues, our planet has been engaged in a 3-way war with each other for centuries." said Jed, "And yes, we are not originally from Earth, our ancestors came here on colony ship and colonized Auraxis as a new home."

"So, where Twilight went, you call Earth, but why do you look so different?" asked Celestia. "Well, Auraxians are more evolved than regular humans on Earth, we have tiny robots, um, just so you know, considering you equines still use spears, robots are complex machines, that are inside of us that repair our bodies when they have extensive damage done to them, also we have invented lasers, like laser pointers, but 20x as deadly." answered Jed.

"Back to the fact that you almost killed Princess Twilight and brutally murdered three of my royal guards. So as far as I can make out, you thought that we were this 'Vanu', saw your weapon, and made one of the most important ponies in Equestria a hostage, killed three ponies, and got captured anyway, when you thought you were going to be captured anyway, and all because you were scared."

"Yes, right. Wait, okay I was NOT scared okay, I just thought I'd have to go back to those VS POW camps." said Jed. "And what's so bad about them?" asked Celestia. "They strap you to a metal table and play techno rock in your ears until a prisoner exchange is made. I still have nightmares." said Jed, "So now you know that I'm just not some mindless murderer alien, you mind letting me out so I can make amends and join up with my group and leave this planet?"

"Sure, just let me get the keys," said Celestia, "Brian ,may I have the jail cell keys please?" The equine looks up from his newspaper and looks at the princess, "Of course your majesty, here you go." he says as he hands Celestia. And as Jed got out of his cell he took a big breath, " Sure is nice to be free again, so I guess I have to go give an apology to the equine I almost killed?" asked Jed. "You are correct, I think it is time you met Princess Twilight and the Elements of Harmony, the ponies that saved you." said Celestia.

"I guess we are not going to get off so well, considering I tried to kill one of them." Jed said before leaving the dungeon, and Brian to his newspaper.

Chapter 5: The Meeting, an an Interrogation

Canterlot, Equestria, Equis, 11:22 AM

As Jed was walking through the place that the Princess called a 'Throne Room', he noticed that the room had an unusual number of colored glass windows. "What is it with all these colored windows?" asked Jed, "What is this, a church?" As he said this, his eyes caught the attention of six ponies that looked like the ones that he say when he woke up, and one of them looked like the one that he had held hostage. 'Fuuuck, this is not going to end well.' he thought to himself.

As he walked towards the ponies, their expression began to turn hostile. "Who the hay do you think you are trying to kill our friend!?" said one of the ponies that apparently looked liked the mythical Pegasus that Jed had read up on in the archives at the remnants of an old library in the wastelands of Indar. And as he looked closer, he began to notice that some others looked like other mythical creatures from the days of olde. Bu what mostly surprised him was the combination of a unicorn and a Pegasus, and that they always referred them to a stature of royalty, a princess, which made him even more confused. 'If there are princesses, then there must be a king or a queen.' Jed thought.

"I said. Who the buck do you think you are!? Killing innocent guards! And almost murdering our friend!" said the blue Pegasus. But as she said this, Celestia raised her hoof. "Now my little ponies, our friend here, um, may I please have your name." asked Celestia. "Jed, Jed Smith, but most of my fellow NC call me 'VSterminator'. answered Jed. "Ah, I see, well, our friend here thought we were these things he fights were he comes from, called the 'Vanu', which he said wear the same clothing color of some of our manes and tails. So he was just scared." explained Celestia.

"You are REALLY trying my patience, I just didn't want to become a POW, and you can see how that worked out." said Jed. "Yes, and why don't the Elements of Harmony introduce themselves." said Celestia. "The Elements of what-now?" asked Jed. Suddenly, a surprised look erupts from the Mane six, (especially Pinkie Pie, because she's Pinkie Pie). Then a purple pony walks up to him, apparently the one that he held hostage. "You are telling me that you have NEVER heard of the Elements of Harmony?" she asked. "Yup, besides, what do they do, make everyone super happy?" he said sarcastically.

"No, they are just the main weapon of defense for Equestria." said the purple pony. "Well, the only thing we NC need for defense is a shotgun and a giant tank canon." Jed answered. "A shot-what?" they all asked. "You're kidding! You people have never heard of shotguns? I guess it makes sense, considering you people, sorry, ponies only use spears, and that tranquilizer spell that felt like a mag-cutter to the head." said Jed. "Sorry, that 'mag-cutter' , your knife I assume?" asked Celestia.

"Why yes, now you are getting it!" said Jed. "But first, I'd like to meet these 'Elements of Harmony', I'd love to report talking ponies to my C.O., so, who will talk to the bipedal alien first?" he said. And as he said that, this pink pony came running up to him. "Hi! MynameisPinkiePiei'msurewewillbegreatfriendsbutfirstIhaveafewquestions! Doyoulikecupcakeswhatsyourfavoritecolorhaveyoueverbeentoapartywhatsyourfavoritekindofparty,aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnddd. Do. you. like. Equis?" she asked with what seemed but like a few seconds.

"Okay, um, I have never heard of a cupcake, blue, Yes I've been to a party, but only one, and that was when one of our Sergeants got promoted to a Lieutenant, it was great, MAX fight club, Auraxium-grade booze, and finally, we basically baptized him with a few packs of C-4 and assorted ordinance and about 20000 rounds. And I really liked it, and yes, I do like Equestria, it reminds me much about the fields of Amerish.

"OK!" she said. As she hopped away, Rainbow Dash began to whisper to Twilight, "I don't know Twilight, I don't trust this guy, first he tries to kill you, but then he acts all nice-like, I'm not buying it." she said. "Oh don't worry RD, it was all just a big misunderstanding. I give my word as a princess on that." said Twilight. "Fine, but if tries to pull a stunt like that again, I'll kill him myself." said Rainbow, whispering the last bit to herself.

The next to come up was a white-coated unicorn with a swirly mane. "Hello sir, my name is Rarity, I am an owner of a boutique shop in Ponyville, the place where me and my friends found you. And seeing your choice in attire, I might want to make you a tuxedo when I get back." she said prominently. "That will not be required madam. This armor is what keeps me alive, and TR bullets and VS lasers would just go through your clothing." said Jed.

"I see," she said as she walked away, "It's just that I wanted to look better without that um, 'rugged' dress-ware." The next was a orange-ish pony that wore a hat that looked like the ones that men in the times before the Terran Republic on Earth wore, called a 'stetson'. "Wah' howdy there mister! Mah names Applejack, I live at Sweet Apple Acres, one of the FINEST farms in Equestria." she said, "Now tell me about yerself pardner."

"Well, where to start? I grew up in a underground bunker, seeing as how the surface of the planet was ravaged before my time, my dad was one of the many factory workers that supplied the New Conglomerate with ammunition and other utilities. My mother, well I can't say much about her, died in a Vanu raid, she hid me while she went to defend the bunker." he said with a tear coming out of his eye," Later, an NC officer Light Assault came by later, and took me back to my father. After that, he enlisted in the service of the NC to avenge my mother, while I went and trained with the recruits at the New Conglomerate Academy for Young Individuals, and when I was old enough, grabbed my AF-19 Carbine and went to the battlefields of Auraxis."

"Well, uh, quite a story, I better go see what's the matter with Fluttershy." she said as she walked off to a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane. "Why hello, 'Fluttershy' is it? My name is Jedidiah Smith, do you want to ask m....." Jed said before he was cut off by a guard rushing into the door.

"Your Majesty! One of our patrols has found a party of spies outside Canterlot. It took over a battalion of guards until we were able to apprehend them. Their apparent leader says he is an officer of this 'Terran Republic', he said his name was Commander Jack Simmons." he said.

"Wait, did you say, Jack Simmons?" Jed asked. "Why yes, does that mean something to you?" the guard asked. "You have no idea, that, is the leader of TRAF. Tell me where he is! I'll make him talk!" Jed said, with a now deep sense of anger in his voice.

Canterlot Prison, Equestria, Equis, 11:56 AM

As Jed entered the room where Jack was being held, he noticed that he was bound onto a steel bed. "You ponies might want to stay out, things might get messy." said Jed, with an evil grin on his face. "Oh no you don't, how do we know you just won't break out with this guy, we just met you a few hours ago. And during most of that time, you were unconscious." said the rainbow Pegasus they called 'Rainbow Dash'. "Um, how about no, you are as wrong as wrong can get, I fight these guys for a living. Why would I leave with one of their highest ranking officers?" explained Jed.

"Point taken, you may proceed with your interrogation," said Princess Celestia, "But we will be watching through these windows so we can see what goes on." As she said this, Jed began to walk towards the window, and just stare at the TR officer. "Fine, but those with a weak heart should look away."

"What for?" asked Celestia. "You will see." said Jed. And as he walked into the door, Fluttershy began to hide her face in her mane.

Interrogation Room, Canterlot, Equestria, Equis, 12:00 PM

As Jack was lying on this uncomfortable, metallic observation table, he saw a figure walk into the room who, for once, was NOT a pony. As Jack sighed with relief, thinking that his soldiers have come to rescue him. But all he found was the face of an New Conglomerate soldier. "Are you kidding me!? After being captured by equines with damn spears, I have to face an NC rebel!" he said with a zealous attitude. "Yup, and guess who's your interrogator?" he said in a gruff voice as he cracked his knuckles

As Jed stared into the eyes of the Commander of the Terran's Air Force, he felt the embers of his hatred burst into an inferno. "How did the TR from Earth find out about Auraxis, It was a secret kept by scientists and military leaders, who are surely dead!?" bellowed Jed, but got no answer from the Commander. "Alright, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way." But still no answer from the Commander. "Alright, I guess its the hard way." said Jed as he cracked his knuckles. "Alright, but before I get beat, I must know, who are you?" Jack asked. "Oh no one special, just your average Phoenix Battalion Corporal." But before he could reach him, the Commander started to laugh. "Oh, so your from Phoenix Battalion egh? Man it was a blast decimating them, who knew that just attacking one patrol would bring their entire army up? It was just a matter of surrounding them all! they soon crumbled under our relentless tank and air attacks! And it was an absolute blast after the party, we pulled them up in front of our line of chainguns, tied them up, and blasted them to bits! Oh, but a shame, there was one with a really fiery temper in his heart, what was his name? Oh yes, BonesxMcoy."

"YOU DAMN CHICKEN-LIVERED COWARD, I'LL KILL YOU!" said Jed as he rushed the Commander and started to punch wildly into his face.

As the Mane 6 were looking through the window, they saw that the interrogation was going well, but after the Commander started talking, something went awry. Suddenly, Jed rushed Jack and started to punch his face into oblivion. " Guards! get Jed away from the prisoner!" said Celestia, seeing this act of pure violence.

As Jed was beating Jack into a pulp, a group of about 8+ 'guard ponies' came into the Interrogation Room and started to pull him away from Jack. "Let go of me! This bastard needs to pay for the horrors that he has caused!" screamed Jed as they brought him out of the room. And as they brought him outside of the Interrogation Room, Jed could see that Celestia's horn was glowing again, "Aw hell not agaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!" screamed Jed as Celestia knocked him unconscious with her spell. "Hopefully his anger will have subsided by the time he comes back from unconscious." she said.

"And how long will that be Princess?" asked Twilight. "About 10 minutes." answered Celestia.

10 Minutes Later

As Jed woke up, he saw that the ponies that they called 'The Elements of Harmony' staring at him. "Yo, Jed, Y'all right?" said the one he assumed was Pinkie Pie. "Yeah, besides the fact I have been basically magic-raped by your princess at least twice in one day. But besides that, I'm peachy." said Jed trying to get up. "Um.... 'magic raped'?" asked the one he heard was called 'Twilight Sparkle'. "Forget it." Jed said. "Besides, where's the wanna-be Drill Sergeant?"

"Oh, Princess Celestia darling? She and Princess Luna had to go out to the Everfree because 'Terrans' you speak of are really starting to make quite a mess down in Ponyville, marching along the outskirts of the Everfree Forest, and promising to shoot any pony or animal that come near the forest. Thankfully a full evacuation has taken place, so I now that my dear sister, Sweetie Belle and Applejack's sister, Applebloom is okay." said the one that said her name was Rarity.

"Fine and dandy, your small town is okay, now take me back to that bastard, I have a few more questions." Jed said. "Fine, but if you try and kill him again, we will make you march on those 'TR' by yourself." said the most aggressive one, 'Rainbow Dash'. "Besides, what made you go beserk on him?"

"You see, he told me that all my comrades are now dead, that they all got shot by a Terran firing line. You would do the same if him and his men shot all the people, or ponies in your case, you knew and fought with" said Jed. "Okay, point taken." said Rainbow Dash.

As they walked into the room, Jed saw the damage he inflicted on Jack, he saw that Jack had lost about 4-5 teeth andhis eye was swollen shut, and that his face was basically full of bruises. "Well, you certainly did a number on him Jed." said Twilight. "Come on you pile of scum, wake up!" said Jed as he ignored Twilight and slapped the Commander of TRAF into conscious. "What's going on? Oh, it's the lonely Corporal of Phoenix Battalion. And I see you brought some equine friends! How excited, now they get to witness the 'interrogation' methods of the New Conglomerate." he said.

"Enough! Tell me what the TR are doing at Auraxis!?" Jed ordered. "Oh fine, you see, when we contacted them on our radio's, they to had no idea who we were, that they were just following an old General's last wish; To find a lost planet, where people suffered, and to bring them back, he left behind a set of old star coordinates, showing an old section of space." Jack said with a twisted smirk on his face. "Okay, you're finally cooperating, next, what are the Terrans planning?" asked Jed, grateful that the Commander is finally cooperating. "Oh, that, now that was a funny discovery, we found this wonderfully generous pony in the wilderness of the forest we landed, calling herself the 'Great and Powerful Trixie', and commanding, yes commanding, us 'hairless ape monstrosities' to leave her humble abode in peace, which was just a hovel, or face her 'magical wrath', now here is the kicker. When she shot this purpleish pink ray at us and it hit one of our nanite crates, it turned them purple! And after analyzing them, we found out that they work even better with this 'unicorn magic' making our men faster, stronger, and have a higher endurance! Now at the meeting I was at before I got humiliatingly captured by these simple equines, we planned to harvest these newfound energy and use it to conquer the NC and the VS and restore order to Auraxis! Besides, what can one lone man do to stop an army?"

"Enough of this! I don't care if you end up getting rebirthed in the Terran's base," said Jed as he pulled out his Commisioner, "Time for you to die!" "Jed STOP!" screamed Twilight. But she was too late, for Jed had already pulled the trigger, and the front of the face of the Commander of the Terran Republic Air Force's body caved in when the .44 caliber bullet plowed through the skin and bone.

And as Jack's body started to turn into purple nanites, Jed quickly removed his helmet to reveal Jack's blond hair. "Jed! Why did you do this? Now he know that one more of you is alive."

"Not really, now is a little story of the creation of rebirthing........." said Jed warming up for a story.

One story of rebirthing lore later because the writer is lazy

And as he concluded his tale of science experiments, corruption, and insanity, nearly everypony was passed out from confused brains, and/or brain meltdown of maximum inflation. "So you are telling me that a person forgets what their past lives lived through to stop insanity of the feeling of death! This is a gigantic marvel in science! But what I can't understand why you remember some things, why is that?" asked Twilight, the only one who has not passed out from the above text. (Yes the writer likes to break the fourth wall)

"Well, to make sure who we know we are fighting for, Command puts in a chip into our bodies that give us memories of all of our past battles but the memories stop one minute before we die. Very simple really." said Jed, fiddling with the TR comm set.

"What are you doing?" asked Twilight. "Oh nothing much, Phoenix Battalion has it's own communications channel in emergencies, and I just want to check if there are any survivors, maybe some squads survived and are hiding in a cave." said Jed, trying not to cross the streams.

Suddenly, a royal guard came rushing into the Interrogation Room panting wildly. "Princess Sparkle!" he said nearly out of breath, "I have grave news, Princess Celestia and Luna have been captured by the Terrans!"

"WHAT!?" said Twilight.

"Had It coming for trying to be a drill sergeant." said Jed, still fiddling with the complex wires of the communications set.

Note: That line with the church is not meant to discriminate against religious groups. Also TRAF is a real outfit, please don't sue me TRAF! And another chapter for the hungry readers out there. Also OH NOES! the princesses have been captured! (I say sarcastically) Please feel free though PM me about any spelling errors I made. (I made about 10 trying to write that sentence, plus 1 to this one)

Chapter 6: Contact and a Journey

Canterlot Interrogation Room, Equestria, Equis, 12:36 PM

"What do you mean Princess Celestia and Luna have been captured!?" demanded Twilight. "Yes, well it seems that while they were in the Everfree Forest to go look for these 'Terrans', that they threw these green cylinder-shaped object that disabled their magic," said the guard in a weary voice, "and they were then taken prisoner by a group of the Terrans with this new, monstrosity with two cylinder shapes protruding out of it."

"Oh, you mean a Prowler?" said Jed, looking up from the nearly completed headset. "You know what these thing are, umm, 'Jed' is it?" asked the guard. "Yea, I know of them, hell, I have even destroyed a few, the main battle tank of the Terran Republic, but not a match for a Vanguard with an AP barrel attached." said Jed, going back to his work.

"Tank, you mean like a water tank?" asked Twilight. "Right, I forgot, spears. Tanks are essentially giant, mobile, fighting vehicles, that will basically plow through vehicles and infantry alike." answered Jed. "Um, vehicle?" asked Twilight.

"Forget it, I'll have an engineer explain it to you if there are any left." said Jed, going back to the comm set. "And we might find out, because I just fixed it." As Jed looked at the newly fixed communications set and smiled with glee, he then pushed a button on the device and slipped it into a section of his helmet. "Attention Phoenix Battalion, is anyone there? This is Corporal Jedidiah Smith of Delta squad reporting, repeat, is anyone out there?" said Jed into the comm set, now integrated into his helmet.

"Yes we copy you Jed, this is Lieutenant Falconbane, where have you been Corporal?" said the one Twilight heard call himself 'Falconbane, 'What an unusual name.' Twilight thought to herself. "Sir, I was made WIA during the first battle on the planet, I was then rescued by the local inhabitants and mended by them. I have not had anything here to eat and drink besides these things called 'cupcakes' and 'cider', please tell me you have some Auraxian-grade beer and protein packs where you are located." said Jed.

"You will be happy to know that we do have that at the Battalion's position." said Falconbane. "You mean that the Battalion is okay?" asked Jed with an actual SMILE on his face. "Oh you have no idea, here, I'll patch in the coordinates of our position right now."

Suddenly, a giant green pillar on Jed's HUD appeared about 1,800 meters south of his position. "What is your ETA Jed?" asked Falconbane. "I don't know Falcon, about five days, considering I have no access to a Flash, also be aware, I will be bringing guests." said Jed.

"What sort of visitors?" asked FalconBane. "You will see, and also have an Engineer ready who specializes in tanks, Jed out." said Jed as he switched the communications set off. "So you are taking us with you?" asked Twilight with enthusiasm. "Sure, like you said, you are the main source of defence of your world, can't let the TR get to you, lest they use your powers to fuel their mighty arsenal of weapons."

"Right, why don't we wait until the rest wake up before we go?" suggested Twilight. "Why wait," said Jed, putting a .44 caliber bullet in the chamber of the NS-44G Commissioner,"when you have a giant alarm clock?" And a loud bang soon erupted from the gun barrel, waking everypony up. "Who's there what's going on?" said Rainbow Dash, putting her hooves up in retaliation of the bang of the gun.

"Hold on there Rambo, I just gave you and your friends a little wake-up call to get up on our journey towards PHX base camp. "What ever do you mean darling?" asked Rarity. "Well, apparently PHX survived and is hiding in a cave outside of the forest." said Jed, "The only problem being is that we have to go straight through TR, and it would take too long to go around, now give me a minute to pack."

"Oh yes, your room is in the Canterlot castle, we put all of the thing we found on you when you crash-landed outside the Everfree Forest." said Twilight, "Follow us to the carriage, it will take us to the castle."

Canterlot Castle, Equestria, Equis, 1:02 PM

As Jed entered his room, he immediately noticed that it was nicer than any NC standard issue cot. And as he looked around, he found where his stuff was located, and it was all there, even his NS-11C. "Wow, this will help very much, thank you for finding my things. You even found my jetpack."

"Jetpack you say? So that is what it is called." said Twilight as she walked up to Jed, "Rainbow Dash was wondering what it does, maybe you could tell her."

"Yeah, so, Rainbow Dash is it? My jetpack let's me hop from building to building to get an advantage over the enemy, but it could also let me fly over a distance or two."

"I knew it! omigosh this is so amazing!" said Rainbow as she did a loop-de-loop in the air out of excitement. "Hold on there hotshot, there is a hole in the fuel tank, but I might have something to take care of it." said Jed as he pulled some green substance out of a pouch, almost identical to the substance that the Sergeant on the train leaked when Rainbow shot him. "I was able to sneak some on board the 'Liberty Bringer' before we launched, knowing I'd need it for something of this purpose." said Jed as he poured the nanites on the hole in the jetpack.

"All right, I'm ready to move out, I suppose I will have to wait for you six to finish packing, please don't waste time I have to get to the Battalion's position in five days, or they might make me KIA." said Jed as he slung his jetpack onto his back and put a new clip into the 11C.

"Well, all of our stuff was located in Ponyville when we found you, so we could just get our stuff in Ponyville." said Twilight, looking at a map that she manifested with her magic. "Uh Twi', before we head into Ponyville, could we go the the refugee camp for Ponyville first, I just wanted to check up on Applebloom and Granny Smith." said Applejack with a worrisome face.

"Of course Applejack, besides, I need to see if Spike is okay by himself, and five days is a long time on hoof, right Jed?" asked Twilight. "Sure, just make it quick, or else the TR might catch us." said Jed sitting on his unused bed. "Also, it's foot for us humans."

Ponyville Refugee Camp, Equestria, 2:36 PM

"Thank you for the ride!" said Twilight as the cab drove off into the distance. "You think that he was scared of you Jed?"

"Nah, he was just scared of my armor color," said Jed sarcastically, "Of course he was. I'm a bipedal alien in a talking horse world, I'm surprised the driver didn't have a heart attack. now hurry up and go find the ponies you wanted to see. We have a schedule to keep."

As Rarity walked around the mud covered camp, wondering where her sister was, she then saw Applejack at the end of the row of tents she was on talking to three fillies, and as she looked closer, she realized that the fillies were the Cutie Mark Crusaders. "Sweetie Belle!" screamed Rarity at the top of her lungs, gracious to see her sister was okay. But as she got closer, she could see a sight that nearly made her faint. Sweetie Belle was in a wheelchair, with gauze over the stump that was left over her back right hoof.

"Oh my Celestia and Luna! Sweetie Belle, what happened to you!" asked Rarity, with droplets of tears going off of her cheeks. "Those stupid aliens did this. We were trying to get our cutie marks in interstellar diplomacy, and as we were about to reach the outskirts of the forest, a group of them came out and used these weird machines in the things that they use to hold things to hurt me in my back right leg as we ran away. The doctors were not able to do anything other than amputate it." said Sweetie Belle, looking down at what was left of her leg. "But on the bright side, they gave me this new wheelchair. I just can't go on anymore cutie mark adventures anymore."

"Actually, what was it? 'Sweetie Belle'? I have something that could help." said Jed as he suddenly appeared. But as soon as Sweetie Belle saw Jed, she let out a scream of terror. "Ahhhhhhhh! it's the alien, I'm sorry for trespassing, please don't hurt me please!"

"Calm down Sweetie Belle, this is Jed, he is not like the others, he is part of a group called the 'New Conglomerate', him and his unit are here to stop the Terrans." said Rarity in a calming voice. "I thought you were going to go walk around?"

"Well, I was doing that, but then these two tiny ponies kept calling me a 'blank flank alien', whatever the hell that means. So I just pulled out my Commissioner and threatened to blow their brains out and it sent them running. And then I heard Rarity's screams and decided to follow it." said Jed. "And you said you had something that could help?" asked Rarity.

"Why yes, here let me see it." said Jed, beckoning to Sweetie Belle's hoof and pulled out a Nanite Systems medical kit. "This will not hurt a bit." he said as he undid the gauze, revealing the stump of Sweetie Belle's back right hoof. And as Jed stuck the medical kit into the stump, Sweetie Belle winced in pain. "Yeah, I lied, but it doesn't hurt as much after all the scrapes I've had, even had both of my kneecaps blow off by a Vanu Thanatos shotgun." said Jed, waiting for the nanites to do their work.

And as if by magic, a green color surrounded Sweetie Belle's back right hoof, and in a few seconds, Sweetie Belle's hoof was back to normal. "Wow! thanks mister! Maybe you're not like the others!" said Sweetie Belle, happy to be out of the wheelchair. "Why thank you Jed, is there any way we could repay you?" asked Rarity, happy to see her sister safe and okay. "Well, lets see, how about we hurry up and get a move on. we have a deadline. And I assume considering we have been here for nearly an hour, that you are all ready to head out?" said Jed, looking at the timer he had programmed into his HUD.

"Wah' sure, Big Mac has been takin' care of Granny Smith and Applebloom while I was off in Canterlot. So I believe that we are ready to go." said Applejack. "Alright, now go find the other four, I'll go scout ahead." said Jed, looking towards abandoned Ponyville.

As Jed hopped from rooftop to rooftop, looking to make sure that the way was clear, he spied a weird looking tree, hollowed out and turned into a house. 'I wonder what I inside?' Jed thought to himself.

As Jed walked into the weird looking tree-house, he noticed that inside it, the walls were covered in shelves covered in primitive paper books. "Well, as long as I'm in her, might as well take a look at some books." Jed said to himself. The first book he picked up was a brown hardback, with a unicorn head on it, labeled 'The Elements of Harmony'. "Hm, they must be very important, to have a book written about them." said Jed a he opened the book..

..One Elements of Harmony book later..

As Jed closed the book and put it back on it's shelf, enlightened by it's knowledge, he heard a loud bang at the door. "Oh crap, TR." Jed said to himself. He then pulled out his 11-C, ready to shoot anyone that came through. And as he opened the door to the house, expecting to see a Terran Republic trooper, all he was greeted with were the faces of the Mane Six.

"Jed where were you?" asked Twilight. "And what are you doing in the library?"

"Well, I was just doing a bit of light reading, learning a bit about why you six are so important." said Jed, looking back at the library. "I also found these." and as he opened his free hand, Twilight saw the Elements of Harmony in them. "Wow Jed, you actually decided to help us?" asked Twilight. "Yes, just wanted to make sure that the Terrans did not get to them first. And by seeing that your packs are stuffed to the brim, that you're ready to move out?" asked Jed, pointing towards the direction of Phoenix Battalion's position.

"Oh yeah, totally, I even packed two bakers dozen of cupcakes, and Applejack packed an entire barrel of Apple cider." said Pinkie Pie, pointing to the small barrel stuffed into Applejack's pack, and Pinkie's bag full of cupcakes. "This is really making me wish I had packed a case of protein packs and Auraxium-grade Beer. said Jed.

Everfree Forest, Equestria, Equis, 4 Days Later, 4:17 PM

As Jed and the Mane Six walked through the forest, Jed noticed that TR fires were burning in the distance. "Hold up, TR patrol in the distance, keep quiet and stay down." Jed said. "Let's move around. Slowly." And as they made it around the patrol, Jed could see the place where Phoenix Battalion was located, a cave in a tall mountain. "That is where we are supposed to go. right there." said Jed, pointing at the mountain.

"Hey, isn't that the mountain where we stopped that dragon from snoring a black smog over all of Equestria?" asked Rainbow Dash, looking up at the mountain. "Huh, I guess you ponies are tougher than you look." said Jed, looking ahead of their destination. "By the way, I meant to ask this earlier, but why are the sun and the moon not moving?"

"Well, that is why I freaked out when I heard my mentor had been captured, for she and Luna raise the sun and moon so that we can have night and day. And if the sun and moon have not been raised in a while, so I hate to think that the Terrans have found a way to contain their magic, or.. worse." said Twilight, looking at the sky, tears building in her eyes. "I'm sure they are fine, now come on, we have a mountain to climb.

One Mountain Climb Later

PHX Cave Command, Equestria, Equis, 5:56 PM

As Jed made it to the entrance of the cave, he noticed that the entrance was made out of scrap metal, shaped like the towers of an Amp Station. As he marched up with the ponies to the shield gate, two Heavy Assaults with EM6's stepped in front of him. "State your name and identity." one of them said. "My name is Jedediah Smith, Corporal, I am expected by Lieutenant Falconbane." he said, not wavered by the Heavy Assault's giant LMG. "Sorry Corporal, we will send you in right away. Open the gate!" said the Heavy Assault to the gate controller, and motioned Jed through the gate.

PHX Cave Command Building, Equestria, Equis, 5:59 PM

"So if we put a squad of Vanguards on the tip on that incline, we should be able to rain down shell-fire on all TR infantry in the area and move up with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Platoon to push out the TR." said Blackweb, pointing to a section of a map, marked in Terran black and red. But before anyone could suggest anything else, a Light Assault came into the room. "Corporal Jedidiah Smith reporting, I am expected by Lieutenant Falconbane." he said. "Sure Corporal, he's right ove- What the hell are those things!"

Author's Note

Well, it seems that things are looking up for PHX and Jed. Also, I warned you Axlgx! And in actuality, this chapter came to me easier than others. Also I have nothing else to talk about, TIME TO GO PLAY PLANETSIDE 2!

Chapter 7: Battalion Reunion, Battle Plans, and Dreams

PHX Cave Command Building, Equestria, Equis, 6:00 PM

"I said Corporal, what the hell are those things!?" asked Blackweb, confused by the new arrivals. "Um, sir, these are the indigenous life forms I told Falconbane about." said Jed, pointing to the ponies. "Oh, well in that case, Falcon is over in the next room over. Something about 'trying out a new design' for a fast attack craft." said Blackweb, pointing to a large steel door leading to a garage-like room. "Now, please go, I have battle plans to make. Besides, those two ponies with purple on them remind me too much of the Vanu."

"Yes sir." said Jed, " Come on you six, Falcon is this way." And led the six ponies to the steel door. " I honestly have no idea why everyone has a problem with these Vanu? I mean, technology is pretty good if you ask me." said Twilight. "Don't you dare say that around me, or any NC! Or TR for that matter." said Jed, now with a face of pure aggression, "You have no idea of how many of my fellow soldiers have never returned from a Spec. Ops against the Vanu. And I know what they do with them. They strap you to a leather chair, plug weird wires into your head and basically take away free will, they take away everything that was you. And make you into their soldier for war. I have even had to kill a friend from the academy who was converted."

"I...I don't know what to say." said Twilight. "Don't say anything. You are lucky I am one of the soldiers that have not been in this god-forsaken war for far too long. Others would have shot you on the spot for that." said Jed. "Especially Blackweb, he actually was able to break free of the wiring and founded Phoenix Battalion to make sure that those evils practiced by the VS are stopped. Now stand back, let me do my retina scan."

Jed then stepped up to a small box-like thing sticking out of the wall, with a circle in the middle. He then push his head against the box and let it scan his right eye. "Scan complete." said the box in a pixelated tone, "Welcome Corporal Jedediah Smith, you may proceed."

And as the door opened, Jed was greeted with the sight of Falconbane, three Engineers, and five Technicians working on a small craft. "Lieutenant Falconbane sir!" said Jed as he did a salute. "At ease Corporal." said Falconbane through his grease smeared face. "So, these are the indigenous life forms that healed you?"

"Yes sir, these are the 'Elements of Harmony', six ponies that wield powerful gems that are used in this planet's defense." said Jed, pointed at the ponies. Falconbane then stepped away from the craft to meet the six ponies. "Why hello there, I am Lieutenant Falconbane of Phoenix Battalion, may I ask who you six are?"

After introductions were made and news was shared the group turned to see Jed fast asleep on one of the wings of the craft. "Hold on, I got this." said Falconbane, grabbing a power drill from a nearby bench and leaned in close to Jed. "We are coooommmiinngg for you Jed....." said Falconbane in a creepy voice, he then turned on the drill to create a high-pitched noise near Jed's ear.

"Ahhhh!" screamed Jed as he came out of the dream. With sweat coming off his brow. " Wakey wakey, Jedddd." said Falconbane in the voice, shaking the power drill in front of Jed's face. "You little shit!" said Jed. "Oh come on now, it was all in good fun." said Falconbane, putting the drill back. "Yeah, yeah. So I assume that you've made introductions with the ponies." said Jed, hopping off of the wing. "Why of course." said Falcon, "It seems you weren't wrong about this group, they are pretty important."

"Great, now that you have met the ponies I've had to walk with for five days, eating nothing but cupcakes and drinking cider, honestly I have never heard of both, but I do not care for them both." said Jed, "Maybe you could tell us what this is?"

"Oh, why of course! Considering that Galaxy's are way too big for the dense forests of this planet, I thought it would be nice to create a fast attack craft, capable of swooping in and out of combat with ease. I call it, the Valkyrie." said Falconbane, showing off the Valkyrie like that girl from Wheel of Fortune. (Don't blame me if my mother likes to use the TV smacked right in the middle of the house to watch it.)

"Impressive, and you say this will help against the Terrans, which brings up my next question, how did the rest of the battalion come back, I thought you were all mowed down?" asked Jed. "Well you are half right about that, and man does it hurt to take about twenty or so chaingun bullets to the chest. You see, a squad was actually sent to go raid the TR base for supplies and nanites for use and tanks, so after they found out that we'd been killed, they went and set up in this here cave and rebirthed all of us." said Falconbane, setting down on a crate of nanites.

"Okay, two questions, one, can you get this purple alicorn here an Engineer who specializes in tanks? And did Delta squad get rebirthed?" asked Jed, he himself setting down on the wing of the Valkyrie. "Well I'm afraid to tell you Jed, is that Delta squad, well, kinda didn't use nanites." said Falconbane, "You see, they were purist about being the original bodies of themselves, that is why you were not greeted kindly by them at first. So that kinda makes you Delta squad lead, I have already made you a list of recruits."

""I will get to training them once I have settled down sir." said Jed. "Good, your new quarters are down the hall. I hope that they are to your liking." said Falconbane, "Now, I have got to finish up with my project, for the sooner it is completed, the sooner our victory is secured."

"Yes sir!" said Jed, "Come on you six, I want to see my new kicks."

As the group left Falconbane to his work and made their way to the Squad lead quarters, which had a nicer look than the regular barracks that regular soldiers got with being recruited. "Wow, this really an upgrade." said Jed, admiring the scenery.

"Wow, it looks just like Canterlot in here!" said Applejack, eyes wide at the sight. "And here... is my room." said Jed, opening a door to a room labeled: 'Delta Squad Leader'. And when Jed and the group got in, it was a single area room, excluding the door leading to the bathroom. It had a single window above a bed in the middle overlooking the cave outside, with a single radio.

"Wohoo! Cannonball!" said Pinkie, jumping straight from the floor to the bed in a cannonball position, landing smack-dab in the middle of it, spraying covers everywhere. "Well, that is a new job to add to the list." said Jed, sitting down on the bed to rest.

"Hey, what does this do....If you don't mind, I mean if you don't want to. asked Fluttershy.

"Oh that? That is a radio, allows us to communicate, and do this." said Jed, turning the dials of the radios to a certain tune. Suddenly, the room began to fill with the rock music of the New Conglomerate National Anthem. And soon, everypony had their hooves over their ears, trying to block it out, and the only people/ponies not covering their ears were Jed, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack, who were rocking out to the song.

And after about twenty seconds of the song, Twilight was able to regain her thoughts and used her magic to turn it off. "What kind of music was that?" asked Twilight, still holding her ears for comfort. "What do you mean what was that? That, was the National Anthem of the NC." said Jed. "Yeah, what he said, and why did you turn it off?" asked Rainbow Dash, bummed that she couldn't listen to some new music.

"Because, it was hurting our ears." said Twilight, finally uncovering her ears. "And you say this is your National Anthem?"

"Why yes," says Jed, "Our culture is based on rock music originating on Earth, we find it invigorating and inspirational."

"Well ah' find it very nice." said Applejack, "I could definitely hoe-down to music like that."

"Exactly, and now I have found my room, I guess it's time to do what I was ordered...... Which I forgot." said Jed. "Oh, you were supposed to meet the recruits for your squad, and train them to this 'Delta Squad' Standard. And after that you are supposed to meet the officers and squad leads in a meeting." said Twilight, holding up a scroll that appeared out of nowhere.

"You made a check list of my orders, and where is this meeting? I never heard of it. Also, Where did that paper come from?" asked Jed, scratching his head out of confusion. "Well, I over heard Blackweb talking about it, and I am very organized, and by seeing the state your people are in, I thought it would be helpful to organize a bit." said Twilight, cracking an innocent smile.

"Well thank you Twilight, now I guess it's time to send those recruits back to boot camp." said Jed. "Oh, your going to need this!" said Pinkie, pulling out a hat that somewhat looked like a cowboy hat, but was flat on the rim , and had the color of green on it.

"Wh... where did you get that from?" asked Jed. "Oh silly, I grabbed one of the hats I have stored around Ponyville in case of a hat emergency!" said Pinkie. "I...... I don't want to ask. So, I guess it's time to see about this meeting." said Jed, "Though, I think it would be best if you six stay here. And Twilight?"

"Yes Jed?" asked Twilight. "Here," said Jed, passing a flat, nickel-plated pad to her, "It's a datapad, it filled up with all the information on tanks since their creation."

"T..thank you Jed, this will definitely develop Equestrian technology beyond anything we could imagine!" said Twilight, her eyes sparkling at the sight of it.

"Well, I guess I'll be off now. See you after the meeting." said Jed, waving goodbye to the ponies as he exited out of the room.

PHX Cave Command Meeting Room, Equestria, Equis, 6:37 PM

As Jed walked into the Meeting Room, he was greeted with the sight of nearly officer of PHX; Blackweb, Pirbi, SnowSheltie, WillTheThe, Falconbane, and many others.

And amongst them were the squad leader, each given their own seat, designated by platoon and squad. And as the door opened, all eyes were upon Jed, and after a brief silence, the first one to speak up. "Ah, Corporal, we were expecting you, oh and the officers and me would like to speak with you after this meeting." said Blakweb, pointing to the chair titled: Delta Squad Lead, First Platoon.

"Yes sir." said Jed, soon setting down on the chair.

"Now," said Blackweb, pointing to a map that digitized onto the back wall. "We have reached a point of great importance, it seems that Terrans have been increasing their patrols around the forest, rarely ever leaving the forest. Our Intelligence Officer have reported numerous accounts of open frequency transmissions, reporting for all 'equines of the breed of unicorns to give themselves up to them, and for every unicorn to not surrender would equal two shells into ever major city of Equestria'. And it has been fulfilled, we have seen them construct giant artillery emplacements on clearings inside the forest and fire them into the nearest cities. Which we have heard them call, Canterlot, Cloudsdale, and Appleloosa. Any suggestion, comments, and questions before we continue?"

"Um, yes sir, I have some intel I would like to share." said Jed, standing from his seat. "Sit Corporal, now, what is this intel?" asked Blackweb. "You see sir, I was able to interrogate Jack Simmons when he and a small group of Terrans were captured by a group of about five thousand Equestrian guards. And I was able to find out that they are using unicorns to overcharge their nanites, giving them a light-purple glow that doubles their efficiency." said Jed, "And I believe that they are holding them in the center of the forest, reason for the high amount of Terrans in the center. Though it may be the fact that they are holding this worlds most important leaders in there."

Jed then relaxed back into his chair, glad to share his knowledge. "Wait, hold up for a second. You are saying that equines captured the Jack Simmons; the man who led the charge against the Vanu in the push on Esamir and was able to stop our advance against Indar Excavation Site with a single squad?" asked Pirbi. "Why yes, yes I am, and I was able to also put a bullet into his head." said Jed.

"Well, I must say fine work Corporal, another reason to speak with you after this meeting." said Blackweb, "Now, enlightened by this new information, I think I have a new way to work around this problem. Tell me, what is total amount of Vanguards can we pull with anti -infantry shells?" The room was then silent for a whole minute, each person hoping for someone else to break the silence. It was then a total of five minutes until finally, SnowSheltie spoke up. "Sir, I was just running number on the stockpile, and we have a total of four hundred fifty-six Vanguards able to be fitted with anti-infantry shot. We also have a total of six hundred twenty-eight Vanguards able for conversion to Anti Armor."

"Well, that surely makes a great difference. Now, I was thinking, if we could get a couple squad's worth of Vanguards and Skyguards onto the ridges of Canterlot, we could be able to rain down shellfire upon the Terrans patrolling on the outskirts, thus creating a distraction whilst the main army pushes in to secure a foothold." said Blackweb, pushing a bunch of buttons, showed a group of Vanguards firing on the Terrans whilst on top of Canterlot. Then the pictured showed a group of Vanguards grouped with infantry, "The Anti-Tank Vanguards will be the first line, followed by the HEAT and HE Vanguards following behind, then followed by the infantry. And Jed, I have a special operation I want you and your squad to perform."

"What is it sir?" asked Jed. "Considering there are numerous ponies and the two leaders of a country trapped by the Terrans, I want you guys to use Falcon's Valkyries to do a blitz on the Terrans guarding them, you are then to call in Sheltie's squad, who will be flying Galaxies to come and pick up the ponies. Sheltie's squad will then be covered by Rusted Valor's personal squad of expert pilots. The ships are then to go back base and unload the ponies under guarded protection." said Blackweb, "And if the fighting has not already ended, you will be cleared to fight on the battle with us."

"Yes sir." said SnowSheltie, Jed, and Rusted simultaneously. "Alright, I believe we are set, dismissed." said Blackweb, motioning for the squad leads to leave. "Officers and Jed are to stay behind to discuss important things."

And after the other Squad Leaders had cleared out of the room, Blackweb gestured Jed towards him. "May I ask sir, but why is it that you wanted me to stay?" asked Jed. "Well that is a good question, you see, you have served in this battalion for decades upon decades, and the officers and myself have seen you do some incredible feats; Interrogating Jack Simmons himself being one of many. And we feel it is time for you to make your way up in this battalion, that is why we have unanimously have decided to make you an honorary Sergeant in Phoenix Battalion." said Blackweb.

"W..why thank you sir. This is a real honor! I will not let you down!" said Jed, doing a salute. "At ease, Sergeant," said Blackweb, smirking, "Now, I suggest that you grab some rest, you have some recruits to train in the morning."

"Yes sir, but before I go, I have one question." said Jed. "And it being?" asked Blackweb. "Will me being promoted involve a pay raise?" asked Jed.

"You know, I don't know, I assume that after we liberate Auraxis that the companies sponsoring the NC will dish out pay depending on rank." said Blackweb. "Alright, I guess I'll be off, have a good one." said Jed as he walked out of the door.

Delta Squad Leader Bedroom, Equestria, Equis, 7:05

As the time passed by from when Jed left the room, the ponies soon became tired and soon started to doze off. And by the time the door opened to reveal Jed in his crisp, new uniform, only Pinkie and Twilight were awake. "Jed, where have you been?" asked Twilight, "And what are you wearing?"

"Okay, I guess it's time to let you guys know." said Jed. "Know what?" asked Twilight again. "I got promoted!" said Jed with enthusiasm.

"Wow, great job! I actually have a brother in the guard who is Captain. And we actually went to a couple of his after parties. They served some...interesting foods." said Twilight, somewhat worrisome about that last sentence.

"Like what kind of foods?" asked Jed. "They served this kind food they found while on tour in the Griffon Kingdom, a 'corndog' they called it." said Twilight.

"Wait, they have corndogs here?" asked Jed. "Why, have you heard of them?" ask Twilight. "Why yes, they were a snack food popular amongst sports fans and people in one of the old countries of Earth, 'Merika' I think they called it." said Jed, "Which brings up the question, aren't equines herbivores?"

"Why yes we are, but we replaced meat with soy and vegetables." said Twilight, "Honestly, I don't like them."

"Oh, can I ask the next question? I think the audience is getting tired of corndogs." said Pinkie Pie, waving off into the distance. "The audience?" asked Jed. "Oh forget it, she's just being Pinkie Pie." said Twilight. "So, what did you want to ask?"

"Well, I was wanting to ask Jed here where he got his spiffing new uniform from." said Pinkie. "Well, after I got promoted, I went down to the Battalion's tailor to get a standard issue combat suit for Sergeants. I also went down to the Watering hole for a drink; a story for another time." said Jed.

"Well I guess it's time to go to bed." said Twilight. "Yeah, I guess you are right. I guess I'll be seein' ya guys in the morning." said Jed as he hoped onto his bed. And after a few minutes of staring at the ceiling and scanning the holonet, Jed finally dozed off to sleep.

Jed's Dream World, 0:00 AP

After Jed dozed off to sleep, he soon found himself staring at Auraxis and Equis, side by side, burning in an unending fire. And the screams and cries of millions entered the depths of his mind, making him fall to the ground in a fetal position, the planets both soon turning blood red. But after a few minutes, the screaming just.... stopped... and Jed gathered the strength to stand up and began to run from the planets. But there was no escaping them, and the planets soon enveloped Jed, swallowing up him like a venus fly trap. Jed then opened his eyes to find himself in the familiar sight of Canterlot, except something was different, and it only took him a millisecond to realize what was around him: a burning Canterlot. With bodies, skulls, and pools of blood surrounding him. But before he could comprehend the sight in front of him, a shadow soon took shape in a soon surrounding fog of smoke, it soon making it's way into Jed's lungs, making him fall to his knees.

"Who's t..there?" said Jed weakly. "Oh, do you not remember, we only met a few days ago." said the voice in a tone sleek as silver, but as authoritarian as a dictator. "Y..you." said Jed, trying his best to speak through his clogged lungs. "Ah, finally, a bit of remembrance breaks through that thick skull." It said. And as it stepped out of the fog, it took the shape of none other than Jack Simmons.

" Wh..what happened?" asked Jed. "Oh, I forgot, you NC aren't good at memory, for you see, remember when I said that we had agents inside the NC, well, one of our agents found out what you guys were planning and called in a raid, and boy was it a thrill. Our infiltrators sabotaged your rebirthers and slit the throats of your officers while the main group destroyed everyone there." said Jack with a smirk.

"What about the inhabitants?" asked Jed, "They were innocent."

"No, no they weren't. You see, many of the Pegasus and Unicorns who were able to get a hold of your weapons fought for a good seven days. But.... well I will just show you myself." said Jack, who flashed his hand to reveal Celestia, pinned to the wall of Canterlot Castle by a spear. Her blood etched onto the wall in the letters 'Surrender, or Else'. "B..but why?" asked Jed. "The best way to destroy the enemy: demoralize them." said Jack. "And I got just the best trophies for my Prowler from this." Suddenly, a TR Prowler appeared, adorned with the heads of the.... Mane Six. Each pony head having a difference in them. The Unicorns had their horns cut off of them, Rainbow Dash's head was shaved, Fluttershy was missing an eye, but the most gruesome was Twilight's, who had her tongue cut out and had no eyes whatsoever.

"No...No, this can't be real! You can't be real!" screamed Jed, and threw his fist into Jack's face, turning him to dust. "You are right Mr. Smith, this is but a dream." said a gentle voice, motherly, but elegant. "Who is there?" asked Jed, looking to who the owner of the voice. "It is I, Princess Luna, we met when you tried to kill Twilight." said Luna. "Ohhh, you saw that huh?" asked Jed, blushing. "Do not be embarrassed. I once tried to kill my sister over under appreciation." said Luna. "Wow, sibling rivalry much? Anyway, what are you doing here? I thought that you are held captive by the TR." said Jed.

"You see, as Princess of the Night, it is my duty to go into the dreams of my subject and all living creatures." said Luna, "That is when I stumbled into your dream."

"Well, greetings aside, what is going on in the camp?" asked Jed. "Where do I begin, they strap up these tubes to our horns and force us at gunpoint to feed our magic to their 'nanites' they call them every morning, midday, and afternoon." said Luna, "And the only thing they have to offer us to eat are these 'Protein Packs' which taste horrible."

"I see, well you will not have to worry much longer, but promise to tell no one. You see, we are planning a mission to evacuate every pony in the compound and bring you guys to safety. So be prepared for rescue." said Jed.

"Your support is most welcome Jed, I will inform my sister when the guards are not looking, and as a sign of my personal gratitude, I will make sure you have no more bad dreams for all eternity." said Luna, whose horn soon lit up upon Jed's head "Now I must leave you now there are others across Equestria who need my help."

"Alright, I guess I will see you tomorrow." said Jed. "I bid thee farewell." said Luna, who then disappeared into a blue mist.

And true to her word, Jed had wonderful dreams for the rest of his life.

Author's Note

Alright, after a period of writers block, I am finally able post this chapter. (Even though I had to finish this on a laptop.) I hope you guys are ready for a Full Metal Jacket style 1/2 chapter next time. (The other half containing the battle and how PHX makes it back to Auraxis. I said too much! Now, stare into the metal tube, *click* Wh..where am I, who am I?

Chapter 8: The Road to Canterlot

Jed's Living Quarters, PHX Cave Command, Equestria, Equis, 8:38 AM

As Jed woke up, he noticed that a crack of light was seeping in through the shutters on the windows, directly onto his face. 'Uh, every time.' thought Jed. Then, a rumbling in his stomach broke the silence in the room, making Jed blush from embarrassment.

"I guess it's been awhile since I've had something to eat." said Jed to himself, getting off of the bed and strapping on the components to his armor. And as he was about to exit out of the door, he suddenly tripped over a blue ball of fur and landed face first on the door.

And after the crash resounded throughout the room, the Mane six soon woke up, Fluttershy being sent to the roof. "Ahhhhh" yawned Applejack, "That was sure one heck of a sleep, ah' slept like ah' was on a stack uh' hay."

"What's the big deal stepping on me like that bub?" asked Rainbow Dash, getting in Jed's face. "Woah, hey, I was just heading to the mess to grab some grub, I just didn't expect you to be right next to the door." said Jed in self defense. "Yeah, whatever." said Rainbow Dash, landing back onto the floor.

"You know, Jed, food does sound good at the moment, I've always wanted to try foods of different cultures." said Twilight.

"Then it's settled then." said Jed, opening the door. " I'll go take to try out some fine NC protein packs. I've even heard that they've created a fruit flavored pack, made out of plants scavenged from the forest."

The seven then went out of the room and made their way to the courtyard of the camp, where sunlight and fresh air could flow to it. "It's great to see what your people have done with the place, considering it used to be a dragon's lair." said Twilight, marveling at the architecture.

"Yeah, I guess it is impressive, I've even heard that there were mounds of gold and riches when they discovered it. But we ended up melting it all up to create medals, gold decorations, bullet casings, and the occasional gold decal for those who could afford it." said Jed, pointing to the decal on his shoulder.

"What do you mean 'decals'? Don't you mean your cutie mark?" asked Twilight.

"Cutie whatknow?" asked Jed, only to receive a gasp from everypony.

"You mean you've never heard of a cutie mark?" asked Twilight. "No, no I have not. Now mind explaining it to me. Quickly." said Jed.

"A cutie mark is basically when a pony, or in your case, human, discovers their special talent. Then, a mark representing that talent appears on their flank. For example, my cutie mark is a star, representing magic." said Twilight, pointing at her cutie mark, "And I thought that symbol on your, shoulder was it? Was your cutie mark, and a mysterious one at that."

"Oh, you mean this?" asked Jed, pointing to his decal, "This is actually this is a decal, or decalcomania, represents my rank in the NC army, which right now is Ensign." He then was received with "ooooohhhh's" and "ahhhh's" from the ponies.

"But I thought you said you were a Sergeant?" asked Twilight.

"Well, in a way, I am. You see, each regiment, brigade, battalion, or outfit, in the NC army is able to give personal ranks in the outfit to give order in the outfit. But that person can't be in charge of soldiers in the main NC army, unless they happen to get folded into an outfit platoon." said Jed, moving his hands like a professor.

"Okay, thank you for explaining that Jed. Now I thing it's a good time to try those protein packs you keep talking about, I'm starving." said Twilight, opening the door with her magic.

"Yeah, lets go." said Jed.

And the group made it's way out of the door to get something to eat.

As Jed and the ponies made their way into the Mess Hall, they were greeted with the sight of numerous NC eating different types of protein packs and drinks. The group then made their way to a line that lead to a person dishing out several types of packs. Then, as Jed and the ponies soon got eyes looking onto them.

"Hey Sarge, I didn't know you had pets." said a Private. The table the Private was sitting at soon began to snicker at the comment.

"Hey, who are you callin' a pet, chump!" said Rainbow Dash, jumping onto the Private.

"Hey Jed, mind gettin your pet off of me before I 'accidentally' blow her brains out." said the Private.

Jed, then offended by the comment, pulled Rainbow off of him, and held the private up by his neck to the point of near choking him. "Now, what was that comment you said?" said Jed, holding the private higher.

"Sir.... I said wha-what a nnice pet you have." he said.

"Now lets get this straight, they are not pets, they are living beings with competent minds. And if I here anyone, and I mean anyone disrespect them, I will shove their windpipe up their ass so far that they will be shitting out smart-ass comments for weeks!" said Jed, lowering the private to the ground, "Is that understood?"

"S-sir yyes sir." said the Private, soon heading back to his table with his hand clutching his throat.

"Thanks Jed." said Twilight. "No problem, I just don't like people who disrespect the peo-ponies that saved my life."

"Alright lets get a look at what we can get." said Jed, looking at the menu, "Let's see... Rasberry...Powdered Eggs and Milk...Pineapple.. They all look good, what you guys want?"

"Lets see, I guess I could try this 'Meal Bar'." said Twilight.

"I'll get the powdered eggs and milk." said Applejack.

" I really don't see anything that are my style, but I guess I could try the rasberry/ lettuce salad." said Rarity.

"Me and Dashie decided we'll try the 'Auraxium-grade protein kicks', with a side of Fruit shakes." said Pinkie Pie.

"And I guess I'll have the salad. If that's okay with you." said Fluttershy.

"And I guess I'll have the dried beef with a side of potatoes." said Jed.

"You.. you eat meat?" asked Twilight, getting nervous with every second.

"Well, yeah, I thought you would have found that out when I was strapped to that medical table of yours." said Jed, picking up his order: a small plastic box with the contents of beef and potatoes divided in sections.

"We didn't exactly have the time to check on that, considering that Canterlot Hospital has never operated on a human." said Twilight, grabbing the meals of her friends with her magic, each being different, for example, the salad was just a single pill in a cartridge.

"Okay, I'll give you that, sorry for the misconception. And don't worry, we don't eat ponies, we are also omnivores, so we can find other sources of non-meat protein, eggs for example." said Jed, placing his meal on the table. "And after this is over, I'd love to learn more about this magic you unicorns can manipulate."

"It's a deal!" said Twilight excitedly, face lit like a Christmas tree, "I have so many books you can read, this is going to be sooo great!"

"Uh oh, egghead alert." whispered Rainbow Dash into one of Jed's ear.

"But that can wait until we drive the TR off of this planet." said Jed.

"Oh, I guess magic can wait." said Twilight, regaining her composure, and placing her friend's meals on the table.

"Alright, now, let's dig in." said Jed, grabbing one of the complementary forks.

As the group finished their meal, which did not happen to be long, considering most of the food was condensed into packets or powder (even Jed got a laugh out of it as Applejack got some powdered egg in her nose), Jed and Twilight grabbed their friend's package's and bags.

"So, that's breakfast out of the way, and I guess it's time to meet the recruits?" asked Jed.

"Yes, and after you give the 'all clear' on their training, we are going to go and save Equestria." said Twilight, a smile forming.

"That is correct, I'd really hate to see you peaceful world like yours become like Aura-" said Jed, but was cut short by a small scroll tied in a linen cloth and gold seal. "Where did that come from?!" asked Jed with awe.

"Oh, it's just the Canterlot mail, it locks onto the bio-signature of the recipient and sends it to them." said Twilight, examining it. "And by the look's of the seal, it's very official."

Twilight then opened it, but suddenly, tears started to form, and she then ran out of the mess, silently crying, even knocking down a couple of troopers that got in the way.

"Twilight!" screamed the rest in unison, soon galloping after their saddened friend. "What the hell?" asked Jed to himself, and began running after the girls.

Jed's Living Quarters, PHX Cave Command, Equestria, Equis, 10:37 AM

As Twilight was lying on Jed's bed, crying whist still hold the letter close the herself, she heard a knock on the door. "Twi' you in there?" asked the voice of an all-too familiar apple farmer. "Ah' know yer in there, I can hear your whimpers. You might as well come and let us talk to you."

"Come on Twilight, you can talk to me about it, I've seen things, I'll understand." said Jed sympathetically, "And I swear, if your on my bed-"

But Jed was cut off by Applejack opening the door, and the crew rushed in and surrounded Twilight. "Come on kiddo, what's the matter? Let's see what's written on that paper." said Jed, picking up the paper from Twilight's hooves, and began reading aloud.

"Dear Ms. Sparkle,

The Royal Guard regrets to inform you that your brother, Captain Shining Armor has been captured by the Terran Republic.

He was doing a routine patrol with a few members of the guard when suddenly, smoke began to rise around him and his comrades, and was soon taken away by several bipedal creatures donned with red. He was a truly brave soldier, and will surely be missed, letters have been sent to all family members.

"They have gone too damn far!" Bellowed Jed, "Now, mind telling me where the barracks is so I can prep my squad for combat?"

"Oh, Oh, downs to the back wall of the cave and take a sharp turn, it's right next to the Tank Workshop." said Pinkie, "And don't ask if I'm psychic, I just looked at your HUD's map while you were asleep."

"Thanks...for spying on my equipment? And look after her while I'm gone, I know the pain of a family member going missing." said Jed, walking out of the door.

"Other way." said Pinkie.

"Thanks again." said Jed, turning to go the other way.

PHX Cave Command Barracks, Equestria, Equis, 10:57 AM

As Alexander, Alyx, and the other recruits of Delta squad were sleeping from a long shift of patrols, a loud banging came from outside the barracks.

"Alright scumbags, wake up! It's time to get this training on the road! Now, get up before I throw you out and stomp your guts out!" said a voice from outside.The recruits then stood at attention next to their bunks, standing straight as a pole.

Finally, the owner of the voice walked through the door leading to the other area's of the barracks. "I am Sergeant Smith, your new squad lead, you will do as I say, and you will carry it out, or I will drag you there kicking and screaming!" said Jed, walking up to Alexander, "What's your name scumbag?"

"Corporal Dragunovv, and what an absolute pleasure it is to meet the person that woke me up from my one hour nap." said Alex, through gritted teeth, "You best stow that kind of talk Corporal or I will shove that windpipe of yours up your ass!" said Jed, basically seething with anger, "Where the hell are you even from? Because we did not say that kind of smack to our officers on Indar, I'll tell you that."

"Sir I am from the snowstorms of Esamir." said Alexander, basically shivering at the word 'sir'. "Holy Vanu shit, Esamir? Only Vanu and smart-asses come from Esamir, and you don't look like a spandex, so that kinda narrows it down!" said Jed, "I'll be watching you."

Jed then waked over to the next recruit, a young woman holding up a Reaper DMR in a military fashion. "What's your name?" he asked. "Private Alyx Von Schniell sir!. Ready to fight for freedom!" she said with enthusiasm. "Are you prepared to jump straight into a Terran camp, prepared to bring down any Terran you see? Are you ready to save countless innocent natives?" asked Jed, raising his voice per question.

"Sir yes sir! And I will bring up every person that goes down!" Alyx said. "Great, can't wait to see you in action, you are a shining example of loyalty to freedom." said Jed, "Now first order of business, weapons and accuracy. I want test out different weapons for you to see which you handle best, and I want to make sure we've got the recoil of our guns under control so we don't have bullets flying into space. Grab a gun that suits you and meet me here in five minutes."

....Five Minutes Later...

As the recruits filed back into line, Jed was able get a good look at everyone's weapons. Alexander was equipped with an Gauss Saw S, a near replica of the NC6 Gauss Saw, with the exception of a lesser magazine and faster fire rate. The gun itself having a 1x sight and forward grip.

Alyx had an improved Reaper DMR, this time equipping it with 2x scope, compensator, and a different magazine than the one before. "Tell me Ms. Schniell, what ammunition type is that?" asked Jed, curious about the ammunition. "High Velocity sir, I thought It would help with the fighting by bringing higher damage rounds to bear." said Alyx.

"Great thinking Private Schniell, I have yet to experiment with High Velocity rounds." said Jed. The rest of the squad had various weaponry, ranging from Wardens to Blitz GD-10's.

After inspection, Jed and the squad went to the firing range, where various men, women, and MAXes were testing recently acquired weapons. "Alright, form up into four lines, one line per firing line, and to make it even, I will be firing with you guys to make it so that it's just you guys that are suffering." said Jed, lining up in-front of one of the squad lines, "And in the event a misfire happens, I had all your ammo converted to non-lethal rounds, but it will still have the same kick and velocity."

The troopers quickly then got into line, Alexander and Alyx getting behind Jed. The three lines soon erupted in gunfire, some shooting in bursts while others just sprayed the target in automatic fire, holding their best onto their weapons.

Suddenly, a Bruiser shotgun held by an engineer exploded, sending his body to the wall behind him, and his arms and one leg in separate directions. Jed quickly jumped to his side and held him up. "Private Schniell, get over here and apply nanites to keep him alive, the rest of you, get his body parts!"

Alyx then pulled out her applicator and let loose a steady stream of green nanites that kept him stable.

"Come on man, stay with me, you got a name?" asked Jed, propping up the trooper next to the wall. "Mitchel sir, Sam Mitchel." said Sam.

"You got any family back on Auraxis?"

"Yes sir, I've got a wife, a couple of kids, and my father back on Auraxis." said Sam, wincing from pain. Then, three Light Assaults brought over his limbs and put them in their areas, mostly.

"No, that's the right leg, not the left leg!" said Jed, motioning to the two men that picked up the legs, and soon fixed their mistake.

"Now, Alyx, put it at full power and get this man back on his feet." said Jed. "Yes sir!" said Alyx, twisting a nob on the side of the applicator. And slowly, the nanites pulled the flesh and bone together, fixing the man back to his health before the backfire.

"Alright, training dismissed, I will be seeing you eleven when we launch at dawn, which considering the sun and moon aren't moving, will be in about eighteen hours from now, I have some investigating to do, those rounds were supposed to be nonlethal." said Jed, motioning for the squad to leave, "Besides, the best training is from the battlefield."

The squad soon left, most heading back to the barracks probably to grab some sleep, while the rest, including Alyx and Alexander, went in the other direction, to do who-knows-what.

Jed then walked over to the destroyed shotgun and noticed something different, the color of the shells that were used for the Bruiser were different than standard issue. They had the color of red on them, the red of the Terran Republic.

"How did that get there? I changed the ammo myself." Jed questioned himself. He then picked up the shell, and began to walk in the direction that he last saw Sam go, to the barracks.

As Sam was taking off the components of his armor to got to sleep in preparation of the attack on the Terran base, he heard footsteps in the hall.

Sam, hearing this, walked out of his room, he saw Jed walking down the hall. "Sergeant, what a pleasant surprise, is there something you wanted to talk to me about?" asked Sam, walking toward the Sergeant.

Jed then slammed his fist into Sam's shoulder, sending him straight into the wall at the end of the hallway. "J-jed, what's wrong?" stammered Sam.

Jed then pull out the Terran shell and put it next to his face. "You better tell me why this shell was in your shotgun right now, or I will shove this into your eye sockets!"

"I, I don't know sir. I've never touched a TR shell." said Sam, sweat coming off of his brow.

"I'm sorry Sam, but I can't be sure without actual proof, I'm gonna take you to the jail until we have this sorted out." said Jed, suddenly twisting Sam's arm behind his back and forcing him to walk out of the barracks and towards the jail.

As Jed and Sam entered the jail, after getting questioning looks from numerous soldiers, Sam was walked into a small jail cell equipped with a single window, a bed, and bathroom utilities.

"Again, I'm sorry Sam, but I can't take any chances, this is the most important operation in PHX history, we can't spare anything going wrong with it." said Jed.

A MAX then walked into the room, bearing dual AF-34 Mattocks. "You," said Jed, pointing to the colossal mechanical soldier, "I want you to guard this man until I return from ops, and if you even touch him, I will shoot you with your own Mattock."

"Yes sir." said the MAX in a robotic voice, doing the best salute he could with his shotgun-totting arms.

"You have no proof! You can't just leave me in hare! Blackweb will hear about this!" said Sam, grabbing the iron bars, trying his best to bend them.

And with that said, Jed left to go and check on his heart-broken friend.

Jed's Room, Equestria, Equis, 1:07 PM

As Jed entered his room after wandering for about an hour trying to find it, he saw that the Mane six were missing. "Twilight, Rainbow.... Pinkie? Are you here?" asked Jed, but got no response.

"Where the heck did they go?" asked Jed to himself, searching the room for any signs as to why they'd leave. Jed's eye then caught the glint of light against the metal surface of a datapad. 'What this?' Jed asked himself in his thoughts.

And as he picked it up, he noticed that it was a crudely typed note with numerous grammatical errors on it, but was still readable.

Jed then put the datapad down, "This might be interesting to see," said Jed to himself, "I should go make some popcorn, but that can wait."

Jed then opened the door and headed in the direction of the hanger bay.

PHX Cave Command Hangar, Equestria, Equis 1:20 PM

After a trek across the base while receiving numerous congratulations for being promoted, Jed arrived at the door leading to the hangar, and put his eye into the scanner.

"Welcome, Smith, Jedediah, Sergeant." said the automated voice as the door creaked open to reveal Falcon and the six ponies gathered in a circle.

"... and Jed and I try this idea of trying to use our jets to fly over the VS firing line, but I end up getting caught on a singe vine and end up upside down in front of a VS MAX. And I'm like 'Hi there spandex, got any batteries?' And Jed has to end up running from about twenty VS, shooting off all his ammo and having to cut me out with his magcutter. In the end we had to stay in the central pillar of the dome until the rest of the platoon gained a foothold." says Falcon, receiving a great deal of laughter from the ponies.

"What are you seven talking about?" asked Jed, becoming one with the circle.

"Oh, I was just talking about the 15th battle of Advari Biolab." said Falconbane, "And I congratulate you on your promotion to Sergeant, I honestly feel like you deserved it."

"Why thank you Lieutenant, and I remember that battle all too well. I just loved the look you left on that MAX." said Jed, "Now, what is the situation regarding the Valkyries?"

"Oh, we have three that are more than ready, I've even given you the treat of equipping them with Hellion G20's, and this inventive lavender pony here with my help constructed this battle camera for your helmet." said Falconbane, holding up a small black tube with a lens on one end that Jed took and clipped into his helmet.

"You see, I would like be able to see how you human act in combat, but since I can't follow you with a high chance of death, I thought I might do the next best thing, record it!" said Twilight, eyes gleaming.

"Alright, I guess that makes sense, now, we just have to wait until morning, then we launch our attack." said Jed, kneeling down to Twilight, "And Twilight, we'll get your brother back."

"Thank you Jed, you and the New Conglomerate will be forever in Equestria's debt if the all works out." said Twilight, wiping a tear from her eye.

"Enough with the sappy stuff already, Jed's got this!" said Rainbow Dash, using her wing to hover of the ground for a few seconds.

"Exactly, and now we just play the waiting game." said Jed.

But suddenly, SnowSheltie's voice came over the intercom, "Attention Sergeant Cordo's and Bavarian's squads, grab your tanks and prepare to move out to..... really, that's it's name? Oh fine, uh, prepare to move out to this Canterlot. Sergeant Jedediah's squad will be running escort. And if Jed is listening to this, note you will still have to do that mission that we discussed back in the planning room."

"Alright, I guess I'll see the rest of you after the escort." said Jed. "Bye Jed!" said the ponies, waving to their bipedal friend

"Go kick some TR flank for us Jed!" said Rainbow Dash. "I can't wait to see how it goes from the camera!" said Twilight to herself, "It could advance Equestria's technology and understanding of weaponry by hundreds of years!"

Jed then left the hangar and opened up his squad comm channel. "Alright Delta squad, you heard the man, I want you over here in one minute, and I want you decked out in any form of green camo, we'll need it in case we end up encountering a TR patrol."

And in under a minute, the squad was in file, lined up with assorted green camouflages, all the way from African Forests, to Amerish Scrub.

"Alright, you all probably know what we are doing here, we are to escort Cordo and Bavarian's squads through enemy territory, and to help them set up at the pony city identified as 'Canterlot'. Now, we do not know much about this planet's wildlife, we only know that these equines live here, so be prepared for anything. Expect the unexpected." said Jed, " One half of the squad goes with Cordo, and the other goes with Bavarian. I look forward to our first mission as a squad."

"Uh, I still don't see why we need to escort these behemoths." piped in Alexander, folding his arms out of spite, "I mean, they are tanks, giant armored vehicles meant to plow through enemies, it's not like they need out help."

Jed then turned to the comment, and started to glare daggers at the man. "Now tell me Corporal, have you ever seen an armor convoy go through enemy forests without any infantry support? No? Well then, it so happens that ambushes would be very likely, and tanks can't see everywhere, and without a gunner, they can't see above them, which would leave them open to C-4 fairy's. And if you had any brains, you'd know that infantry can hide behind trees and fire on tanks through the shadows, slowing all movement and making them sitting ducks." said Jed as-a-matter-of-factly, "And it is our job to make sure none of that happens. Which brings up my next question, why the hell are you in my squad?"

"Well if you must know, I am a highly capable Heavy Assault, even Blackweb himself said that he'd love me to be a soldier in his squad." said Alexander smugly, "And if you put me next to a group of TR, I will wipe them out in ten, seconds, flat."

"Well then, I would love to see that happen, might make some popcorn for it, but that can wait." said Jed with a half smile, "Now get on the tanks ladies, lets lock and load, lets rock and roll!"

The squad then hurried to their designated squads and opened the hatch to man their driver's Gunner seat.

Suddenly, the rumble of engines erupted from the tanks, propelling them forward towards Canterlot.

Everfree Outskirts, Equestria, Equis, 2:45 PM

As the three squads were moving through the edge of the dense forest, Jed began to have a feeling of uneasiness come upon him. "Hey Bavarian," said Jed through his commlink, "Do you ever get the feeling you are being watched?'

"Not that I know of Jed, I always end up finding any Infiltrator that is trying to pop off my dome. Besides, what has you all shaken up? I haven't seen hide nor hair of any TR." said Bavarian. "I don't know man." said Jed, "It just doesn't feel right, TR are very strict, so you'd think they'd have patrols up the wazoo here."

But before Bavarian could answer, the tank line suddenly came to a screeching halt, sending Jed flying in the tank. The tank driver then got over to Jed and helped him out of the tank.

"Gah, man, my head. What happened/" asked Jed, perplexed at the sudden stop. Then, the voice of a young man came up on the radio. "Uh, sirs, the lead tank's track is broken, I recommend you see."

"On my way." said the three squad leaders simultaneously.

As the three squad leaders reached the tank at the head of the line, things were worse than expected. The left tank track apparently had a loose pin on one of it's segments, causing it to careen into a tree next to the forest, the tree itself falling over, roots and all.

"Can't you just fix it with nanites?" asked Cordo, whilst inspecting the damage.

"Well, you see sir, mechanical nanites just repair combat damage, like a tank shell or a jammed turret. But this is just maintenance damage, something that the brass wanted to do ourselves to keep 'The work ethic of a laborer' or something like that." said the man from the radio, " And it would take too long to reprogram them. But, I've done this plenty of time to get this done, give me about ten to fifteen minutes and we'll have this convoy ready again"

"Well done man, may I inquire about your name?" asked Bavarian with an inquisitive look.

"I am Private Josh Mcgully sir." said Josh, a small half-smile on his face.

"Well get to work Josh, we'll probably find something to do while we wait." said Jed.

Josh then got to work, getting out his tool kit to begin repairing the tank track.

But then, an atrocious smell went through the air. "Dear God, who brought out Blackweb's socks?" asked Jed, putting his fight hand over his nose. The smell was then followed by numerous pairs of yellow eyes peeking out through the forest.

"What the hell are those!?" exclaimed a Combat Medic, putting up his NC-9 A-Tross to eye level.

An owner to a pair of eyes then came out of the forest, a creature made of twigs and logs, and and occasional leaf. The creature was then followed by several other ones that were almost identical.

"Hey there fella." said a Heavy Assault, reaching out his hand to pet it, "You almost look like a dog from Earth."

The creature then jumped onto the man and started to rip out his throat, followed by a bloodcurdling scream from him.

"Open fire!" exclaimed Jed, pulling the trigger to unleash a hail of bullets onto the dog-like creature that had attacked his comrade.

The entire line of tanks and infantry soon erupted with fire, sending chunks of wood everywhere, even sending down a couple of trees.

But they just kept coming, wave after wave, some even able to climb onto a couple of tanks, only to get thrown off by the driver spinning the turret constantly. It even got to the point of where some had to switch to their sidearms, Jed included.

Then one of them was able to get on top of Jed, tearing through his armor, ripping off his shoulder pads and turning his right arms into a bloody mess, causing Jed to scream in pain.

The wooden wolf then threw Jed against the side of a Vanguard, causing him to fall over, blood running from his right arms like a stream.

The creature the rose over Jed, preparing for a final strike, raising it's claws over it's head, leaving it's underside open to attack. Jed, seeing this, mustered enough strength to raise his left foot to kick the wooden wolf in front of a tank barrel, allowing itself to be blown to twigs by the sheer power of a shell.

Jed then used his left arm to use his comm set and opened it up to Battalion frequency, "Attention, this is Sergeant Jedediah, requesting air support, we've been ambushed by local animals, we've taken numerous injuries and casualties, does anyone copy?"

"We copy you Sergeant, we've been getting reports of men and women coming out of the rebirthing Chambers, but we can not launch any pilots in the event that the TR discover our operation." said WillTheThe over a static-covered connection.

"Copy that, we'll try and hold out, but if this fails, I'm putting the blame on you." said Jed, while simultaneously raising his left foot to deliver a kick to a wolf's face and sending it sprawling.

Then suddenly, the voice of Alyx cried out through the front section of the convoy, "Nanite grenade out!", sending a green canister into the midst of the combat, spraying a thick green mist of nanites onto wounded NC comrades, slowly healing cut and dismembered bodies, bringing them to fight once more.

Jed, who was lucky enough to get caught in the spray of green, started to fight like never before, using his jump jets to climb over the waves of wooded monsters and threw a frag grenade, causing a few to chase after it, probably thinking it to be a toy, only to get blown away.

The battle ensued with drastic combat, both sides losing equal numbers, mutilation beyond compare. Gun shells, cannon shells, and all sorts of ordnance littered the field, accompanied by the dead and dying of both sides, with no hope of medics reaching them through No-Man's-Land that stretched from the tank line and the forest.

And Jed was no better, having his right arm ripped off and flung off to who-knows-where, and forced to revert to his Commissioner when he ran out of ammo for his NS-11C, and having to take cover behind a dead carcass of one of the twigged monsters, trying his best not to give in.

Then, the gunfire stopped, sending an eerie silence through the battlefield. But was soon interrupted by the snapping and clunking of twigs and logs, and Jed looked over the corpse in curiosity, only to find a giant version of these wooded behemoths staring down at his, it's snorts sending Jed reeling back from the force of the breath.

"Oh, shit." said Jed, eyes wide at the creature.

Said monstrosity then lifted up it's left paw and stepped on a Vanguard, crushing it to bits of nanites.

"Open fire on it!" said Bavarian, raising up his Gauss Compact S to fire a grenade from it's grenade launcher.

The entire line soon reopened with all it's guns, blowing chunks off of the behemoth, only to have them strangely reattach to it. And with the guns still firing, the creature began stepping all over the line, breaking Vanguards and Skyguards in half. Even at times throwing them into the ground.

The convoy was in shambles, with less than a handful of tanks left. The monster appeared unstoppable, throwing infantry like ragdolls, and vehicles like rocks.

Jed then used his jump jets to climb onto the back of the creature's back, firing into it nonstop.

But then, the monster began to thrash wildly, sending Jed flying into the air, only to end up in the mouth of the behemoth.

"Great, how I always wanted to have a death, in the mouth of a giant fireplace log." said Jed to himself. But then, a blinding light burst from the base of the creatures mouth.

"Now what's this?" said Jed, shielding enough of his eyes to get a good look at the light source. And as he looked down, he saw a giant green orb of light, with several small, ghost-like versions of the wooded behemoths he fought earlier orbiting around a bright green light.

Jed then tried to use his commlink, only to find it sparking and crushed. "Well, I guess I'm going to have to improvise." said Jed himself. He then used his jump jets to carefully make his way to the orb, and tried to stick his magcutter in it, only to have it be stopped by and invisible force. Jed then rummaged through the various pockets in his suit, and felt a small rectangular brick in a pocket next to his waist. And when Jed pulled it out, it was nothing more than a brick of C4.

"This will do." said Jed, slapping the brick on the surface of the orb, and pushed the arming device.

Jed then used his jump jets to climb to the back end of the mouth, using his magcutter like a mountain climber pick to make his way to the monster's teeth, the obstructions opening and closing every few seconds to swallow a piece of NC or tank.

Jed then jumped out of the mouth as it opened, and ended up landing headfirst onto Alexander's stomach.

"Really Sergeant? You got swallowed by that... that thing, and you did that just to crush my ribs? How thoughtful." said Alex, with sarcastic smirk on his face.

"Shut up, and watch." said Jed, pointing at the creature as it destroyed another Skyguard, and pulled out a C4 detonator, "Tick, tick, boom."

Jed then pushed the big red button, causing an explosion to erupt from the base of the creature's neck, causing a huge gap in it's neck.

The creature then began to have a fit, thrashing about, and holding a paw to it's neck as green liquid leaked out, with the remnants of NC bodies, and various vehicle parts.

And after about thirty seconds of thrashing and coughing, the colossus fell to the Earth, the color finally fading from it's eyes.

"Well, that takes care of that," said Jed, dusting off his hands of his own blood, mixed with comrades'. He then pointed at an Engineer leaning next to a Vanguard. "You, Engi, mind fixing up my commlink?"

"Yes sir." said the Engineer, pulling out his repair tool and allowing it's nanites to slowly repair Jed's broken commlink.

"Thanks." said Jed, holding out a thumbs-up. "Anytime sir." said the Engineer, heading back to his original position.

Jed then pushed a button on his commlink and cleared his throat to speak. "Hey, Private Mcgully, you still there?"

"Yes sir I'm still kicking in the same body you saw earlier, I was lucky enough to get inside a tank with a Kobalt." said Mcgully.

"Well, now what is the condition of the forward tank? Is it fixed?" asked Jed. "Hey Jed, can you see that big, overturned tree to the south?" asked Mcgully. "Yeah? Why?" asked Jed.

"It's about five clicks south of that."

"Well, I guess that's that. But is the road clear?" asked Jed.

"Why yes sir it is. Now, lets get a move on, the TR would have surely heard this." said Mcgully almost instantaneously.

"Alright, let's get get moving. Cordo? Bavarian? Are you two ready?" asked Jed, hoping into a gunners seat on a Vanguard.

"You bet." replied both of the squad leaders.

And as the engines of the Vanguards and Skyguards started up, the convoy made it's way up to the mountain city of Canterlot.

Canterlot, Equestria, Equiss, 3:14 PM

As the line reached the front gate of Canterlot, they were stopped by an entire brigade of armored guards donned in golden armor, pointing their spears at the lead tank. And as Jed looked up using the gunner's sight, he noticed that several earth ponies and pegasi were pointing several ice bows and arrows at the column.

"Who goes there!" bellowed a gruff voice.

Jed then climbed out of the tank and ran up to the lead tank. "Well, who goes there?" he asked.

A young stallion donned in steel armor stepped forward, with a dull grey mane and the cutie mark of two swords clasing together. "I am Lieutenant Riding Lance of the Royal Guard, commanding officer in Captain Armor's absence." said Lance, "And I would like you to leave the premises. We don't need any more of your kind destroying the things we hold dear!"

"Now hold on," said Jed, putting up his hands in self defense, "We are trying to save you guys, we are here to rain down destruction on the people that hurt you."

"They will most likely think it is us that attacked them! And we don't want another Cloudsdale happening to us." said Lance, "So leave, we do not need your help in this, and we certainly don't want anymore unwanted attention from your counterparts!"

"We are sorry that the Terran Republic has done this too your world, but we are here to stop that. I for one, an trully mortified as to what they've done." said Jed, "Besides, what makes you think that your safer without us? You don't have any weapons that can take out even a flash."

"Look, we are both soldiers here, but I have a duty to uphold, things have been in chaos since the princesses have gone missing," said Lance, his stone face softening, "Princess Cadenza is trying to hold the Crystal Empire from repeated air attacks, Princess Twilight was last seen with her friends traveling with one of your people, and most of Equestria's unicorns have been captured."

Jed's eyes then opened wide at the mention of Twilight, "I'll have you know Mr. Lance, that Twilight is in safe hands, and that we are more then ready to fight to free your peo- err, ponies I mean, sorry, I've been around humans too much."

"Understandable, but why do you think you've got the power to stand up against the people that have thousands held captive across Equestria? And from the looks of your transports and soldiers, you look like nothing more than a common militia." said Lance, pointing out the twigs and dent on one of the tanks.

Jed, then offended by the comment, started to glare daggers at Lance. "You think these beasts of war were like this when we left base!? It was an ambush that did this I tell you! By these wooded beasts with staked for teeth. And if we were anything like a simple town militia, then how have we been able to stand a war on two fronts for hundreds of years?"

"Wait, did you say wooded beasts? You mean Timberwolves, don't you? Only a handful of ponies have been able to face down Timberwolves, let alone fight and defeat them!" said Lance, eyes wide in shock. "Why good sir, I am sorry for the misconception. You really are true warriors."

"Your damn right, every single one of us are grizzled veterans of this terrible war. Why, if one of our officers wrote a short story, detailing the war on Auraxis, it would turn into a trilogy." said Jed, "So, will you let us in?"

"I'm sorry sir, but we just can not, the populace would revolt if we allowed you to waltz about. And I doubt that even Princess Twilight herself, bearer of the Element of Magic, would let you in." said Lance, his face reverting to the stone look it had prior.

"Hold that thought." said Jed, putting his hand on his radio. "Hey Lieutenant Falconbane, mind putting Twilight on the horn, I have someone that wants to speak with her."

"You got it, gimme a second while I hand it to her." said Falconbane, followed with the sound of the headset being put on Twilight's head.

"Hello, Jed, is this working?" asked Twilight.

"Yes Twilight, I have a Lieutenant Riding Lance, of the Royal Guard wanting your seal of approval to let us in the city to begin operations." said Jed, a small smirk forming on his mouth.

"Okay, Jed, put him on, I'll explain this to him." said Twilight.

"You got it, switching to surround sound and hologram, a little something I made in my spare time." said Jed, pushing a button on his helmet. And suddenly, a light blue version of Twilight came out of the top of the helmet. Jed then took off his helmet, and then setting it down on the hull of the lead tank. "You may now converse with Lance, or whatever, I need to help get these twigs off of a few tanks."

Jed then walked away with a few others, and started to clear twigs and leaves off of the tanks.

"So, Riding Lance is it? I hear you are to replace my brother while he has been captured." said Twilight, raising an eyebrow inquisitively.

Then, Riding Lance and several guards who were close enough to hear Twilight. "Why yes princess, and I can only hope to live up to a fraction of his success." said Lance, standing back up. "And my condolences to you Princess Sparkle, I knew you and Shining armor were as close as brother and sister could get."

Twilight then wiped a tear from her eye from the mention of her BBBFF. "Thank you Lieutenant, I hope great tidings for you, your men, and Equestria."

"Thank you ma'am, we will hold out, we will never let those beasts set one hoof in Canterlot." said Lance, doing a salute with a hoof, but brought it back down before he fell over.

"Now, greetings aside. There is one thing I want to know, why you are denying Jed and his group entrance to Canterlot?" asked Twilight, her head tilted sideways from confusion.

"Princess, I've been over with this with Jed, and as civilized he and his bunch seem, we have no idea as to how the locals would react to beings that look almost identical to our enemies." said Lance, stamping his hoof on the ground. "And what if the more influential people had anti-alien ideals? Why there would be chaos, and we have no idea where Discord is in all of this, so we can't control the populace the way he can. I'm sorry princess, but we must take care of ourselves for the time being, without the leadership of Luna or Celestia, and with Princess Cadenza holding off valiantly at the Crystal Empire, we have no guidance. But, we have you, you and the Elements of Harmony are the beacon that shines in Equestria's darkest hour. And these, humans as it were, are more than likely to create a disaster if they even step foot in the city."

Twilight's face then softened, and began to face to ground, pondering about what the Lieutenant had just said. And after a few seconds, a smile began to form. "Idea!" she screamed happily, "Look, I know that there will be chaos, but I plan on heading over there in a few hours, I will be also coming with the other elements, so keep that in mind. Next, try and calm the populace the best you can, Jed and the New Conglomerate are no threat to us as far as I've seen." said Twilight, then, her face went to straight seriousness. "And keep in mind this: Princess Celestia and Luna founded this nation on the belief that we should love and tolerate, no matter the species or origins, and if you truly are a stallion of the people of Equestria, then you should follow that rule. Why, if it weren't for that standard, we'd still be having disputes with the Griffons. So I ask you, not as your princess, but as a pony who would trusts people from across the stars."

Lance then looked dumbfounded, his eyes wide, and shoulders slackened. And after ten a second of nothing but cold silence, he finally regained his composure. "Princess Sparkle, your words have moved me, I have just been caught in all this for so long, I had forgotten the the teachings that the Royal sister taught our ancestors, and us even today. The New Conglomerate may pass, and we will try and keep public order until you arrive, Celestiaspeed, princess."

"Thank you Riding, maybe you will live up to be my brother's counterpart. And don't worry, I shall be there to help in any way I-" said Twilight, but was cut short from a crash in the backround. "Sorry, I must get going, Pinkie has thought of upgrading her party cannon with spare parts, something about a Party Tank. I must get going, and don't worry the, NC aren't that bad."

The hologram then shut off, leaving the helmet there in a motionless state.

Then, Jed walked over, covered head to toe with mud and leaves, and put his helmet back on his head.

"Well, Jed, what happened to you?" asked Lance, pointing a hoof at the mud all over Jed.

"Well, you see..... this is.. camouflage! Yeah, camouflage." said Jed hastily, "It's not like I fell into a ditch trying to pry a branch loose from one of our Kobalt LMG's."

"Right," said Lance, in an out of ease tone, "Well, it seems that Princess Sparkle has convinced me to let you and your group through. Though I would recommend setting up at that ridge-line over by the barracks, it provides an excellent view of the Everfree Forest." Lance then pointed his hoof over to a marble-walled building with the flag of Equestria over it, next to it, a giant cliff, able to support a full squad of tanks.

"Thank you kind sir, you will not have any more trouble from us in the future, I promise that." said Jed, doing a salute to the stalwart stallion, "Though, you might want to cover your ears in a few minutes."

"And why is that?" asked Lance, ears pushed behind his ears.

"You'll see," said Jed, a small smirk forming, and then turned to the tank line, "Alright you scumbags, let's move up!"

The engines on the tanks then started to rev up, which caused the line of Royal guards to move out of the way and into the sidelines of the gates. And as soon as they had moved, the tanks pushed on, Vanguards first, followed by Skyguards, and then the occasional Sunderer, Jed clinging to the side of a Sunderer by the rail.

The Vanguards then set up on the ridge, their guns pointed straight at the forest. And the Skyguards and Sunderers on the sides of the Barracks, deployed and ready for action, all guns pointed at the sky.

And as the last Vanguard line up, a group of grunts rushed from a Sunderer, carrying a strange looking shell.

"Hey, what ammo type is that?" asked Jed to a Medic standing next to him.

"Oh, that sir? It's just a shell designed to shoot off a flare instead of and actual projectile to signal the attack." said the Medic as he leaned back against a marble pillar.

The group then rushed to a tank manned by Bavarian, and shoved it into the autoloader compartment.

"Ready to fire!" said one of the grunts, cupping his hands so that the entire group could here.

"Fire!" yelled Bavarian through an open hatch in his Vanguard, and sent the shell fly into the sky.
it soon erupting in a blue firework that lit up the sky.

The entire line soon erupted in blistering fire, destroying trees and anyone in the blast radius to smithereens. It even got to the point of which that a dense smoke covered the barracks and cliffs, and that some tank barrels got so hot to the point of where a new barrel had to put on.

"Ah, I love the smell of exploded ordinance in the afternoon!" said Jed to no one in particular.

Then, SnowSheltie's voice came over Jed's headset. "Hey Jed, we have a two galaxy's with Reaver escort piloted Blackweb's seasoned Veterans to pick up your squad to head back to base. He has something he wants to talk to you about."

"Yes sir, what's the ETA on that Gal?" asked Jed, searching the sky for the large behemoth transports.

"About two minutes, I suggest you tell your squad your moving out." said SnowSheltie, just as some rustling came from behind him, "I'll be right back Jed, one of our Private just got thrown from a balcony during sparring practice."

"Yeah, you do that." muttered Jed, switching his communicator to squad comms, "Hey squad, you might not want to get cozy here, we're moving out in two minutes, we have two Galaxy's coming to pick us up. Does everybody copy?"

"Yes sir!" said Alyx enthusiastically.

"Yeah, sure." muttered Alexander.

"Sir, if I may inquire, why should we go back to HQ, while instead we could launch from here and have the cover of flack and tanks?" asked an unfamiliar voice.

"Very good question, um, mind if I ask your name trooper?" asked Jed in an uneasy.

"Micheal Ducovsci sir." said Micheal.

"Very well then Micheal, this tank line is nothing more than a distraction. So that when we launch from HQ, most of the TR air will focus on these guys right here." said Jed, overlooking the tank line.

"Very well sir, I am just concerned about our mission and all the innocent lives we are putting at stake."

"Your statement is noted soldier." said Jed, looking at the sky to see two flying behemoths flying in through the clouds to the ground below them. "Now, pack up and head over here, everyone, our ride's here."

It then took about four minutes to get all of Delta's gear and troopers onto the Galaxy's, one galaxy nearly becoming inoperable from a MAX suit nearly falling into the cockpit.

"All right, are we all set up, Jed?" asked the pilot.

"Yup, now, lets get these sky whales into the air." said Jed, "Alons y!"

"Sir?" asked Micheal, a seat over from Jed.

" 'Alons y' it's French for 'let's go'. So, let's go!"

As the two Galaxy's made land-fall on the hangar bay. They were then greeted by swarms of people asking how the mission went, and various other questions.

Then, Twilight and the other Mane 6 came up, carrying saddlebags, hand/hoof shaking the members of Delta squad, finally making it to Jed.

"Great Job Jed! I heard from Sheltie that the mission went splendidly. Though I did hear something about an ambush, care to enlighten us?" asked Twilight, holding out her hoof.

"Oh, right," said Jed, unplugging the camera from the side of his helmet, "You know, I can't believe that it's still there, what with all the hits I took."

Jed then placed the camera in Twilight's hoof. Which she then used her magic to pick up and place in a black box she pulled from her saddlebags.

Then, a hologram appeared, showing a picture of the hangar bay when Jed put it in, with a black and white play button in the middle.

Twilight then proceeded to press play, showing Jed's P.O.V. when he put the camera in his helmet.

Twilight then used her wings as fingers and stopped at the point where it showed Jed raising his NS carbine at pair of glowing eyes in the brush.

The scene then replayed itself from earlier, than man reaching out his hand to pet the Timberwolf before having his neck gouged out by it. Causing the ponies to look away in horror, with the exception of Rarity, who just fainted on the floor.

"Yeah, can we just fast-forward to the point where I got eaten?" asked Jed, who grimaced at the sight of seeing his comrades get mauled.

"With pleasure." said Twilight, hastily, who then fast forwarded it to where it showed Jed falling into the giant Timberwolf.

The recording then proceded to show Jed sticking a brick of C4 on the behemoth, and blowing it's neck open.

"Yeah, that's enough for now." said Jed, quickly pushing the power button on the player.

And as Jed turned his head to see the ponies, all he was shocked faces, and fearful eyes.

The first to speak up was actually Fluttershy, who pulled her mane from her eyes. "I can't believe, I mean, oh..my." said Fluttershy, "I mean, I've heard talk about increasing reports of Timberwolf activity since you all landed, but this is insane. I can only fear as to what's happened to my animal friends."

A tear then began to form on her cheek at the thought of Angel and the rest being at the mercy of Tinmberwolves.

Jed then walked over to Fluttershy and began comfort her. "It'll be okay kiddo, we killed nearly a hundred of them while we were there, so maybe that scared them back into hiding."

The thought then began to cheer her up, bringing a weak smile to her lips.

"There you go." said Jed, who then directed his attention to Twilight, noticing that they all had saddlebags.

"Hey, whats with the luggage?" asked Jed, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm sorry Jed, but I we promised to come back to Canterlot to comfort everypony there, and I can't just leave everypony there afraid of your tanks." said Twilight, eyes gazing at the sky above, "And one of the galaxy pilots promised to take us there, as long as we don't, 'Screw up his ship'. So I guess this is goodbye until the defeat of the TR."

"I guess this is, I'll be sure to bring back the princesses in one piece. You have my word as a soldier." said Jed, doing a salute to the lavender alicorn.

Then, suddenly, Twilight jumped up on her hind legs and gave Jed...an actual hug.

And as the hug continued for a few more seconds, a single tear fell down Jed's cheek. "Th-thank you Twilight," said Jed, wiping away the tear, and hugged Twilight back, "Nobody has hugged me since my infancy back on Auraxis."

"Awww." said Pinkie Pie, a smile forming.

"Thank you Jed, for everything you've done for us since you've landed. And we'd all be probably dead by now if you guys had not survived the planetfall." said Twilight, letting go of the hug, "And I can't thank you enough for helping us in Equestria's darkest hour."

"It's okay Twilight, we all came here searching for a new life. I mean, all we were before the war were farmers, mecghanics, engineers, miners, even a couple of turncoat TR." said Jed, getting on one knee, "And we lost a true soldier getting here. But that's a story for another time."

"Oh, dearie, before we go, I was sifting through your camouflage storage, and I was able to fix this special suit for the kind of work you're going to be doing." said Rarity, pulling a disheveled, tree-green, suit, "I really hope you like it, it was in a real mess when I found it, but I do love a challenge."

"Wow, a ghillie suit!" said Jed, eyes wide, "This is perfect! You know, we really don't use gillie suits that much, so maybe the TR wouldn't expect this. This, I mean, this is great."

"Oh it really is nothing, I just thought of the greater good of it's use." said Rarity, putting on a smile.

"Wait, before we go, I have. One. Single. Thing. To. Say." said Pinkie Pie, rummaging through her saddlebag.

"Well?" asked Jed, tilting his head to the side.

Pinkie then pulled a cupcake from her saddle bags, it had purple and blue base, with blue and yellow frosting.

"Wait, before you go all like, 'But Pinkie, I don't like cupcakes', this one's different!" said Pinkie, shoving it into Jed's hand.

Jed then took a single bite out of it, and swallowed slowly. "Huh, not that bad. Maybe you can give the recipe to the chefs at the mess."

"Okie Dokie Lokie!" said pinkie, bouncing her way to the Galaxy.

Next was actually Rainbow Dash who flew up, holding something behind her back.

"Ya know, I'm not really somepony for all these sappy goodbyes. So here" muttered Rainbow Dash, pulling a small book out, titled: "Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone"

"It's the first book in the Daring Do series I ever read. And it's only the best book series in Equestria!" said Rainbow Dash, an attitude of fervor setting in, "It's the first book in the series, and I've had it for a while. I mean, I've memorized it to the point to where I could recite it in front of an entire crowd."

"Why thank you Rainbow, it's nice to see you've warmed up to me." said Jed, a small smile creeping it's way onto Jed's face.

"Yea, your welcome, it was nice to meet you and your people." muttered Rainbow, "And no hugs, lets settle this like real people or ponies would." Rainbow then extended her hoof, expecting Jed to do the same.

But instead, Jed just grabbed her hoof and began shaking it.

"Seriously? You really have never heard of a hoof-bump?" Rainbow deadpanned.

"Oh," said Jed sheepishly, retracting his hand, "You mean a fist bump? Don't you?"

"Yeah sure, now, from the top." said Rainbow, re-extending her hoof.

Jed then did the same. And when they connected, an explosion the size of a house erupted beside them.

Every head in the hangar then turned to see an Engineer, covered head to toe in black soot. next to a portion of wall charred from the explosion.

"Sorry!" he piped, "I was trying to see what would happen if I placed and AT mine next to an active Bettie."

"Don't sweat it." said Jed, waving to the sooty engineer.

"Well, I guess this is it, Jed." said Twilight, head facing the ground.

"You know, Twilight, I never like goodbyes," said Jed, kneeling down to eye level with the alicorn, "Let's just call it, 'See you around the corner'.

"Okay" said Twilight, wiping a tear from her eye. "See you around the corner, Sergeant."

The group then headed onto the Galaxy, and when the the door was about to close, Jed swore he thought he heard Pinkie say " Chimicherry, or Cherrychanga?"

But before Jed could ponder, a familiar voice thundered from behind him.

"Sergeant Smith!" said the voice.

"Aww crap." said Jed, head facing the floor.

As the sun of the planet Auraxis, all was in the normal, there was an unending three-way battle at the Crown, Galaxy's were being launched from the Wapgate, and tanks rolled out of every facility that could produce them. And in the underground portion of it, there was still one man that was sleeping. "Wake up Corporal Jedediah! You were not recruited by this Battalion to slack off! Now on your feet, move it and join the rest of the battalion!" said a Gunnery Sergeant, dressed in Heavy Assault gear.

"Sir yes sir!" he said as he rummaged through his locker, getting his Razor GD-23, medical kit, and jetpack. "Now get up there! Blackweb has an announcement!" bellowed the Sergeant. "Or are you just going to be a numb-skull panzie and sleep on the job? Because I'm sure Sheltie would LOVE to shoot you for that!"

"Sir, no Sir!" Jed said, rushing to the staging area of the warpgate.

Indar Northern Warpgate Staging Area, Auraxis, November 23, 2934

As Jed ran up to the staging area, he could see that the entirety of the battalion was covering the warpgate, with Blackweb and his bodyguard/cabinet surrounding him. "Attention Phoenix Battalion," Blackweb said in a gruff voice, with a bit of authority in it. "I have just come back from a meeting with all of the NC's leaders and scientists, where we have found out through recent study, that the wormhole that led the colonists here has appeared right outside of the solar system. And when we sent scout probes through the other side, we found out that a planet, similar to Earth. Is a small distance in space terms from the wormhole. And seeing this as an opportunity to free ourselves from this accursed war, NC Command has ordered us to become the first to settle on this planet and live freely from the Terrans and Vanu. And the companies that sponsor us in this never ending war, have prepared for such an occasion. On the island where our former leaders used to hide, we have constructed an interstellar ship that will lead us to this new colony."

"And I am sure that the Terrans, or probably even the Vanu are aware of it. So we have outfitted the ship with laser weapons that we 'liberated' from the Vanu to arm our ship incase of interstellar battle. Our ship will be equipped with Auraxium powered, sub-light engines to maximize our speed. But with this comes the hardest sacrifice, we have found that in flight through the wormhole, that nanites will become highly unstable and are easily exploded. So our engineers and scientists at Lithcorp designed special carriers that will keep our nanites safe. We will leave for the island in two days, dismissed." said Blackweb as he walked towards a galaxy, probably destined for the island.

"Wow, we are really going to leave Auraxis forever, aren't we?" asked another Corporal, nicknamed 'Potatohead' for mashing a Vanu's skull to match the shape of one. "Sure seems like it, finally, I could do what ever I wanted to do in life, and not have to fight an unending war. Isn't it great!" said Jed, imagining a life without war. Well, I guess it's time to start packing, it's like we are the first colonists of Auraxis."

But suddenly, Jed and Potatohead could hear Falconbane over the Platoon Communications Channel. "All right 1st Platoon, we have just been given orders from the brass to do a Galaxy drop on the Crown. Lock and load ladies, were going strait into it."

"See you at the Crown, Potatohead." said Jed, heading towards the nearest Galaxy transport.

Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville, Equestria, Equis, 10:27 PM

As we head away from the raging battles of Auraxis, and head towards the planet of Equestria, we find ourselves looking at a lavender alicorn looking up at the stars with her telescope. "Spike, you have got to see this!" she says, spying a mysterious mixture of colors in the sky. "What is it Twilight?" asks a reptilian-like creature in a very tired manner. "You will not believe what I have just found in the outer reaches of space! I can't exactly explain it, but I am sure scientists all over Equestria will marvel at this sight." said Twilight, not moving one eye cell away from her telescope.

"Look Twilight, I know you are very excited about this and you want to share this with others, but can't this wait until morning? I'm getting very tired from sorting books from today's check-ins." said Spike, looking as though he was about to pass out of exhaustion. "Fine Spike, I'll just keep taking notes and tell you what I find in the morning. Goodnight!" said the lavender princess.

Canterlot, Equestria, Equis, 10:30 PM

As Princess Luna went into her meditation room to patrol the dreams of her citizens, she began to feel a strange sensation in her brain. 'Tis probably nothing' she thought to herself. As she sat down on her mat and began to visit the dreams of all he citizens, she saw one dream that made her cringe with fear. A desert field, in a location she had never seen before. 'Wh.. What is this place?" Luna said to herself. And as she went into the embodiment of the dream and landed on a cliff, Luna realized she was not alone. At the bottom of the pit, she saw three different masses of creatures, dressed in purple, blue, and red, fighting each other. holding strange things in their appendages that they used to kill each other with.

"By the mother of my sister and me......" Luna said to herself. Suddenly, a group of twenty monstrosities started to appear out of the corner of her right eye, crushing everything in sight. And in the sky, giant mechanical bird-like things fighting each other in the sky. And all Luna wanted to do was make it stop. She then quickly ran out of the dream, and continued her nightly patrol.

Canterlot Throne Room, Equestria, Equis, 6:23 AM

As Celestia sat at her throne and enjoyed her work of bringing the sun up in Equestria. Suddenly, a cry of panic came from the entrance of the throne room. "Tia!" the voice said, in a voice Celestia knew all too well. "What is it my dear sister?" asked Celestia in a calming voice. "I have seen things that are definitely not of Equestria, thing I do not wish to see again." said Luna, with a look of fear on her face. "Are you sure my dear sister?" asked Celestia, now with a look of worry on HER face. "I will show you with my own memory." said Luna, lighting up her horn with a blue aura to create a square screen in front of the two sisters, replaying the dream from the night before.

And after the dream had finished, all of Celestia's face was covered in shock and horror. "This is definitely not of Equestria, or even Equiss for that matter. I fear we will have to send out more patrols at night, to guard over our ponies." said Celestia, regaining her composure. "Of course sister, thank you for understanding my predicament, now if you will excuse me, I need to retire to my room, it's been a long night." said Luna, now starting to walk out of the throne room.

PHX Galaxy, Above Indar, Auraxis, November 23, 2934

As Potatoehead and Jed rode in the Galaxy heading strait for the Crown, Jed felt a twinge if uneasiness in taking the Crown from the TR, who currently held it, for their huge fire rate and magazines would surely make it hard to fight them in close quarters, something Jed had bad times with. "Hey Jed, I know how you feel." said Potatoehead, with a face of comfort showing through his helmet. "You think that we might not take it, but let me tell you, we WILL take this base, for war will not determine who is right, only who is left."

"What are you saying Potatohead?" asked Jed, now with a look of worry for his friend. "I have been fighting this war for so long, I was one of the first to go out and fight the Terrans and Vanu, I was even one of the first to use standard issue nanites. I can't even remember the last time I went to sleep without the help of death. But there is a reason that I've felt this way for so long, a secret that I only shared with me and every Terran I killed. But I feel it is time to tell you my secret, my time was coming, I hear voices in my head, I see and feel what my past regenerations felt before they die, I knew I was about to expire, and that they'd take me out of the nanite's regeneration loop and shoot me before I did anything insane. So I hacked into the regeneration loop and cut out my genes, and now, I fear that I might die for real, but it felt good to be out of the system, now, if this war ends soon, I might be able to settle down and live my life without the thought of living another." said Potatohead, staring at the floor of the Galaxy. "Wow, I.. I don't know what to say." said Jed, actually feeling sadness for a fellow comrade.

"There is nothing to say about it now, we have a job to do, we are only a few seconds from the drop." said Potatohead, looking at his visor HUD to check the waypoint." Three..two..one.. Drop!" And the group of four different galaxies unloaded their cargo of four squads.

As Jed dropped out of the galaxy with all of his NC and PHX counterparts, he could see thing were not going to well for the New Conglomerate ground forces. All vanguards either had their turret blown off or were blowing fire out of every seam, all MAXes had at least one limb missing, and all infantry and support were huddled at the bridge overlooked by the Crown's many cliffs. "Alright ladies, lets move into the main building and take this place for the NC!" shouted Falconbane as they touched the ground.

As Jed charged the main building against a wall of TR chainguns and cyclers, he saw out of the corner of his eye, a Terran Combat Medic jumped off of a piece of jagged rock with a combat knife, probably hoping to stab Jed in the back. Jed, seeing this, raised his Razor to the Medic's height, and pulled the trigger. And the body of medic went limp mid-air, showering blood that came out of the bullet holes washing onto Jed's visor.

Jed soon wipes off the Terran's blood off of his visor and hold up position at a piece of rock, and see's Potatohead and an NC Heavy Assault behind the rock right next to him. "Hey Heavy, no time for names, could you lay down some suppressive fire while we move up?" asked Jed over the gunfire. The heavy soon nods in agreement, raising his Gauss Saw LMG to fire upon the Terrans, and pulls the trigger to let loose a giant wave of LMG bullets towards the Terrans, scattering them all except for the MAX suits, who could take heavy amounts of damage from meager bullets. Seeing this, the heavy then pulls out his standard issue Shrike rocket-launcher to make them fall back, which works to full effect.

Soon enough, Jed, Potato, and the rest of the platoon charge into the main building, taking out every Terran and Vanu straggler with shotguns and rocket-launchers. And seeing that the Crown, the most special building on Auraxis, incomparable to any Bio-lab, or Tech Plant anywhere was theirs, the NC army let up a cheer, loud enough to cause a mountain slide, erupts from them all.

"I guess we get to live for another day huh?" asked Potatohead, with a huge smile on his face. "Yup, and I believe we have earned a day of rest tomorrow." said Falconbane, coming up behind the pair. "Lieutenant!" said Jed, now facing at attention towards his superior. "At ease Corporal, yup, we did the NC proud today, now get in the Galaxy on the double, we have a day of preparations tomorrow." said Falconbane, pointing towards the Galaxy on the landing pad above. "Sir, yes sir!" said Jed, "Come on Potatohead, I have case of Auraxium-grade beer back at base that needs drinking."

"You're on," said Potatohead, following Jed to the launch pad.

Indar Northern Warpgate, Auraxis, November 24, 2934, 8:23 AM

Alright troopers, get in the Galaxy's, we are moving out, anything you left behind will be burned." said Blackweb out of an open hatch in a Galaxy, overseeing troop loading.

As Jed and Potatoehead loaded into a Galaxy with a polished finish and new guns, they waved goodbye to the place that housed them for over a century. "You think you will ever miss this place?" asked Jed. "Nope, I can't wait to forget this planet's name." said Potatohead, taking his place in the Galaxy. "What do you think will happen to the rest of the NC?" asked Jed, curious about his fellow freedom fighters. "I heard that since the wormhole is showing no signs of collapse, that the ship we are boarding will become an armored ferry to deliver more troops to the planet, so the remaining NC on Auraxis will become more endangered as more leave, a real kicker huh?" said Potatohead.

"Yeah I guess it is." said Jed. "Alright ladies, we are moving out in three minutes, strap down or you are going to be flopping around like a recruit in a reaver." said Blackweb over all radio frequencies.

Blackweb's, Transport, above the Indar Northern Warpgate,November 24, 2934, 8:23 AM

As Blackweb was looking at all the NC scurry to the Galaxy's like ants, a comms officer came up behind him with a tablet in his hand. "Sir, we have urgent news from our observers at the island have found something very frightening," the officer said. "Well spit it out man!" Blackweb bellowed. "Well.... You see... we detected numerous heat signatures outside of the planet that did not come off of Auraxis, and after thorough study, it seem that their origins were in fact, from Earth. It seems that while we were gone, the TR developed FTL travel and have come here to reclaim what is ours." said the officer, more afraid of Blackweb's reaction than the threat of TR landing craft. "Well," said Blackweb, looking towards the sky, " a change of plans is in order, once we get to the island, I'm going to need to think for a while, so nobody enter my room for about an hour."

Here is a shout out to all the Planetside 2 bronies out there. Considering this is my first Fanfic, I'm sure I'm about to see a lot of Grammar Fixers and flak because of this. But if I have anyone who likes this story, I will be needing your help with idea's for the story. I hope to see you all on Auraxis some day.
