One: The visitors from cloudsdale
"Hey fluttershy! Come over here!" Rainbowdash called from a cloud. Fluttershy flew up to the cloud, then was quickly grabbed and pulled inside the cloud to be greeted by a kiss. Fluttershy blushed, embarrassed by the sweet tingly feeling she got when Rainbowdash kissed her. She blinked, expecting Rainbow to challenge or tease her. Thats usually what happened. But this time, Rainbow had a smile on her face, and obviously had something to say. "Okay so guess what? Some of my friends from cloudsdale are coming on thursday!" "Oh how wonderful!" Fluttershy tried to sound sincere, but the idea didn't exite her. But flutter shy could tell that wasn't all Rainbow wanted to say. "And i want you to be my wing pony!" Fluttershy was startled, and she flipped out of the cloud head first. Rainbowdash flew after her and caught her inches off the ground. "Silly filly!" She chuckled. "Rainbow! I can't! I know nothing about romance, and you know that!" Rainbow sighed. "Okay I know, I get it, but please! Just for me?" Fluttershy thought it over. She wanted Rainbow to herself... But she wanted to help as much as she could, and if this colt would make Rainbow happy, she would do it. "Okay, fine." Rainbow smiled and kissed Fluttershy. "Thank you so much!"
The sun was setting by the time Fluttershy made it back to her cottage, and when she arrived, Angel was waiting for her. "Oh Angel, sorry I'm late, I know I promised you a nice salad, but I haven't gone shopping yet, so these carrots will have to do. Is that alright?" Angel rolled his eyes and nodded, obviously not pleased. Fluttershy laid down on her couch, thinking about what Rainbow wanted. What if the colt wasn't actually the love of her life? What if he was? Fluttershy and Rainbowdash were in a relationship, but it was experimental. Neither of them knew what love really was, even though they had both tested it. Fluttershy was Rainbow's toy. A willing toy, but still a toy. They weren't going to get anywhere with their relationship. "Cut that out." Fluttershy said aloud. "Of course she loves you." And with that Fluttershy drifted off to sleep.
"Yo Flutters! My friends are here! Come and meet them!" Fluttershy rubbed the sleep from her eyes and opened the door. Standing before her was Rainbowdash, looking as dazzling as ever, and four other ponies, three female, one male. "Oh. Why, hello there!" Fluttershy greeted them. One of the mares stepped forwards, she had a blue mane and light grey fur. "I'm Thundra!" She offered Fluttershy her hoof. Fluttershy stared at it blankly for a while before shaking it. "This is Sunrise," Thundra pointed at a white mare with a red and yellow mane. "Moonshine," The other mare- her mane was green and her fur was yellow- nodded and smiled." And this colt over here is Moneyblitz." Fluttershy's eyes settled on the colt. He had a dark purple streak through his black mane, and his fur was a very pale yellow. Rainbow smiled "These are my friends from cloudsdale!" Rainbow walked towards Fluttershy, and hugged her. Fluttershy closed her eyes and extended her muzzle, expecting a kiss, and when it didn't come, she opened her eyes to see that rainbow had turned her back on her, all of her attention focused on Moneyblitz.
Three: Wingpony-less pegasus
Fluttershy decided not to tell anyone what she saw. It was for the better.Rainbow came asking for Fluttershy's help the same evening, claiming she had a date. "Please! You said you would be my wing pony! I really need your help! This could be my one true love!!" Fluttershy snorted. She knew what happened that evening. And she wasn't about to forget. "Fine." Fluttershy agreed bitterly.
The three met at a restaurant in ponyville that served everything from hay burgers to spaghetti. Rainbowdash had her mane up in a braid, and fluttershy wore her mane down, letting it fall in front of her eyes, hopefully covering her sad expression. Moneyblitz and Rainbow talked all night, absolutely ignoring Fluttershy's existence. At the end of the night, Moneyblitz leaned across the table and kissed Rainbow, making Fluttershy sick. She flew out of the restaurant and back to her cottage, where she got stopped by Rainbowdash. "What is up with you?! You totally just ruined my first date!" Fluttershy twitched. "But who needs a first date when you can just jump right in with all four hooves?!" Rainbow looked surprised. "How did you know?" Fluttershy laughed. "I saw you two tonight, when i tried to talk to you, but you two were too busy making love, you didnt see me!" Rainbowdash looked hurt. "I thought you were my wing pony." Fluttershy glared at her. "You thought wrong."
Two: Bittersweet apple aches
Applejack?" Fluttershy knocked on the barn door. "Yes? Whuts up Flutters?" Fluttershy sighed, then explained everything to AJ. She would be honest, and she would keep this a secret, Fluttershy made her promise. "We'll flutters, I don't know what to say to you, but you shouldn't stress, RD will understand! Just tell her what's on your mind." Fluttershy felt like crying. That wasn't what she wanted to hear. She wanted to know Rainbow still liked her. "Well, I'm here... Do you need any help with anything?" Fluttershy asked. "Uhhh, whell.... I could use some help buckin' trees... If that interests you." Fluttershy accepted the job, and got the whole run down of the orchard. "Thanks for offering your help Flutters." And with that, Fluttershy headed off to the orchards.
Fluttershy headed back home after a long day of bucking apple trees. As she reached for the door, Applejacks advice seemed like a legitimate thing to do. "Just go tell her how you feel, that's all." Fluttershy said to herself as she flew up to Rainbows cloud home. She walked through the entrance and turned the corner to see Moneyblitz and Rainbowdash muzzle to muzzle in a very suggestive position on her floor. Tears started to form in her eyes as the two ponies carried on without noticing her. Moneyblitz brought his hips down hard on Rainbow, and she made a sudden squeak of excitement, their lips locking passionately. Fluttershy didn't want to see anymore. She flew out of the cloud with tears streaming from her eyes, creating mini- rainbows as they caught the sun.
