Trotting into Ponyville

I had just finished my visit with the rulers of Saddle Arabia. I was told by them that a land nearby was called Equestria. Apparently they had visited it before. They found the land to be pleasant along with the citizens. From the knowledge I was given, by the rulers of Saddle Arabia, the Princesses of the Sun and Moon lived there. Seeing as though I'm an astrologist this interested me. I have traveled many a land mapping the skies and studying the stars in them for this passion and tend to move to new areas very quickly.

Also I must say that most alicorns are leaders of some sort. Not including myself. Although I once was but that is another story for this Journal of mine. I will be writing it at a later time. Adorning my usual clothes, which included a hat to hide my horn, a cloak, and a couple other things, I headed off to catch the best transport which turned out to be a boat at the time. As I continued traveling I soon reached the land of Equestria, We then docked in the city of Las Pegasus. I quickly disguised my horn with a hat and headed into town. As I walked I saw many a friendly faces.

As far as I knew at the time Equestria was a very friendly country. I had spoken with several citizens who, with my accent, knew I was foreign treated me quite well. None of this "The....Train....Station....Is....That....Way," business I experienced in some smaller countries. I swear by the Crab Nebula some of these ponies were dafter than my auntie Glazy Wind. That pony wouldn't have known an alligator from a kitten if it hadn't been for my uncle. Continuing, I was told by a mare, who owns a café with delicious food, that the quickest way to Ponyville was northeast by flight.

"Excuse but what is your name, miss?" I asked after talking about directions.

"Oh my name is Bean dear. What is yours?"

"I'm Starry Wings, equine astrologist extraordinaire, here visiting Equestria."

"Oh Ms. Wings I do hope you enjoy your time here."

At that moment three dark and somber looking stallions trotted in.

"BEAN!" the stallion with the dark gray mane, blue eyes, and hide as dark as the cloudy night sky roared out to the mare.

"Yes?" she asked annoyed.

"This is the last straw," he said. From what Bean told me later was that she had gotten him into trouble by alerting people of his plannings. Then he galloped up, close enough to force her to slide down the wall behind her. As he approached he lifted his right foreleg and prepared to strike. Knowing my new friend was inches from a very painful and possibly deadly attacked. I stepped in front of him and shoved him back with my muzzle.

"How dare you? Attacking Bean in the middle of her shop! It’s not right!"

"Who are you to tell me that Ms. Foreigner? Got an issue with me teaching this blank flank a lesson?"

*Author's Thoughts at this time*~ Oh dear... That stallion has officially sentenced himself to death. Back to the story:

"That WHAT?" I screamed in anger.

"B L A N K F L A N K."

"Don't worry about me Wings. He's just being Darkan that's all."

"That does not mean he can call you blank flank in your cafe."

"I don't care what you think fillyfooler."

*Author's Interruption*~ Sorry but the scene here may just be too brutal and graphic for many people's tastes. Let's just skip to after she is *Ahem* done shall we? All right back in we go:

Darkan was laying underneath a pile of tables a chandelier and what used to be a door.

"Now that that is over..." I said.

Bean sat there gapping at me.

"What?" I asked.

"How did you? Where did? Huh?" she asked.

"Never mind that. I was thinking about getting a friend to come with me. Would you like to come?" I asked.

"I've wanted to travel for a while now," she said, "So why not?"

"I hope to leave in about an hour. Is that enough time for you?" I said.

"It's plenty." She raced up the stairs nearby and started to gather her articles and such as I sat downstairs drinking my coffee.

"Ok I’m finished," she said coming down the stairs with a slightly bulky saddle bag.

"Let's head out then shall we?" I asked.

"Let's go!" she replied.

We exited Las Pegasus and took to the air using our wings. After a surprisingly short flight I noticed a town below us and motioned to land.

*GASP* a pink pony with balloons as her cutie mark exclaimed when we landed before she ran off to a nearby bakery.

"O-kay?" I said slightly confused. But before I could question it I saw an orange pony with apples for her cutie mark struggling to keep a cart from falling. I quickly raced over and helped her steady the cart.

"Thanks fer yer help Miss," she said.

"No problem!" I replied.

"Anyways welcome ta town an' all ah'm Applejack," she said.

"Oh I'm Starry Wings," I replied.

"I ain't ever heard yer axcent before round here, are ya new?" Applejack asked.

"Yes I am. I'm not sure about my friend Bean though," I said, "She may have been here before."

"Well ah'm sure ya'll are gonna get a big welcome an' all," she said.

"I don't find that necessary," I said.

"It's okay everyone gets one," she said.

"Oh okay," I said.

"Ah recommend ya visit the library while ya'll are here an' all," she said.

I'm the type to ponder advice before I stick to it and I decided to follow Applejack's advice since she seems honest enough.

I stepped into the library and found an alicorn sitting and very very intensely scanning a book. As I stood there pondering what could require such attention I found that a purple dragon had walked into the side of my flank. Turning to ask him what was going on I was interrupted by this,

"TWILIGHT! WE"VE GOT VISITORS!" the dragon yelled.

"What? Oh! Hello!"

"Hello."

"Who are you might I ask?"

"I'm Starry Wings, equine astrologist extraordinaire, and this is Bean," I said gesturing to the pegasus who was now bowing to Twilight.

"Princess Twilight!" exclaimed Bean, "I never thought I would meet you! It's an honor princess!" The words bubbled out of her before she could stop.

"There's no need to bow Bean," Twilight said, "I'm no important than anyone else."

"Oh you're a princess? I suppose I must tell you that I am visiting your country in my travels and I always feel it wisest to meet the leaders while I am there," I said.

"I'm not the only one, so there's no need for that information at the moment."

"Okay." I said.

"I suppose we must find you somewhere to stay while you are here," she said walking out the door. I quickly followed as did Bean when *BANG* confetti rained down from sky. "SURPRISE!" yelled the pink pony from earlier. "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie! Have a cupcake!" she said stuffing one in my mouth. I struggled to swallow and as soon as I finished I turned to one of the ponies nearby.

"What the hay is going on here?"

"Pinkie Pie's Parties." said the pegasus with the rainbow colored mane, "I'm Rainbow Dash, nice to meet you."

"Oh nice to meet you as well," I replied.

Well I thought, Equestria is interesting and so is Ponyville.
