It's a calm night in Galondon. The sun has set and a cool, night breeze has taken over the land. Everypony is fast asleep in their beds and nothing can be heard, but the hoof steps of a single pony and the flutter of a Pegasus. Their journey ends at the far side of a castle known as, Buckingham Palace. Inside, the guards are standing their post, and the voice of a mare gently comes echoing through the hallways.
"Greetings my subjects, I am Princess Azalea. Your soon to be queen of Galondon, and I... oh brother! Do I have to do this?" the young mare whined.
The light shines on a tall, grey stallion. "SISTER, HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY IT; YOU CAN'T WIN THE RESPECT OF YOUR SUBJECTS IF YOU DON'T ASSERT YOURSELF!”
The great stallion marched his way towards his sister, towering over her. The small white mare begins to cower at the sight of her brother. "I... I'm sorry brother. It’s just that I feel that there should be a better way for me to address the other ponies."
"NO!!! Those ponies are beneath you! If you want to be one with them I will not stop you! Look at you, already standing at their level. You're an Alicorn for buck’s sake. Your mentors tell me that you fail to complete your assignments and you can barely know how to use you magic, not to mention you pathetic attempts at flying. You don't even have your cutemark. Its a shame to call you royalty."
The young mare begins to lower her head, trying her best not to cry.
"Oh great, now the crying starts. Look at you, PATHETIC!!! How will you be able to rule Galondon, if you can't take a little criticism?"
"Brother... p... please, I just want to make you proud."
"Then do it. Azalea, I want you to be a powerful ruler. One day I won't be here and the kingdom will turn to you to guide them. I want to leave you a queen who fears no pony and knows how to rule with an iron-hoof! Don't you want that?"
"Yes, but-"
"BUT NOTHING!!!" Go to your chambers and practice you skills. I want to see some improvement by tomorrow. Now go! I have wasted enough time with you. I must attend to more important matters."
"May I ask what they are?"
"Trials."
"For what? With your strict laws, I haven't heard of any crimes being committed around here."
"It's not here. It’s in the seas that surround us, piracy. They don't really get long trials, it’s the punishments that take long."
"Well, what’s the punishment for piracy?"
"The gallows, I’ll see to it that everypony that sails under a pirate flag, be hanged until there’s none left. Now please, stop boring me with these questions. Go!"
"But, I-"
"Does your hearing need practice too? Go! Now!"
The young mare begins to pack her things and slowly makes her way to her room, thinking of how she's going to be able to "improve her skills" by tomorrow.
Two stallions stand at her doorway. They step aside as she makes her way in.
Inside, Azalea put down her saddle bag and looked around. Her room was spotless as always. She remembers how her brother would yell at her for not cleaning her room. He was very strict with her. If she tried to be the life of the party, her brother would humiliate her. When she tries to make him smile, he sends her to her room. Her head stormed with memories of how her brother mistreated her. The more she thought of him, the more her face grew red with anger, her breathing intensified, and finally she snapped. Azalea threw her bag on the wall and began to smash anything she could get her hooves on. The two stallions guarding her room rushed into the room and saw their princess tearing up the sheets from her bed. Suddenly she turns to them.
"Leave, NOW!!!" she yelled.
The two stallions looked at each other. One of them asks "Should we call King K-"
"NO!!! Just leave me be!"
The two stallions did as they were told and shut the door behind them. Azalea looked at the mess she made. When she was finally able to calm down, she began to cry.
"Why? Why me? Why does he hate me so? I never did anything to him, so why does he treat me like that. All I want is for him to be proud of me." She looks up at the night sky. The moon that once bared the mark of evil, shined down on her. With her tears still flowing, she walked towards the balcony, looking at the stars that filled what the moon couldn't. She closes her eyes and begins to whisper "I... I wish some pony would take me away from all of this. I don't want to be a princess anymore. I... I hate this land! I hate this life!! And I hate my brother!!! Please, send me a way out of this!"
She opens her eyes. "Nothing's changed." she muttered. She turned and looked around her room, still the same mess. She was right, nothing changed. She climbed on to her bed and slowly fell into a deep sleep.

"Capn' are ye sure we should be doin' this? It seems a little much for piratin'. I think it's best we leave"
"Scallywag, we made port at Prancerpool. That's a very long walk. Not to mention I used up all my magic powder to give the guards a little nap. Do you really think I'm going turn back now?"
"But capn' this is a princess we're stealin'. We'll be sent to the gallows without a second thought."
"Ay, but you forget, I've been dodgin' me visits with death since I was a foal. Now get up there and see if she's asleep."
"Aye, capn'" The young colt flew up to see that the princess was fast asleep and her room was a mess, then he flew back down.
"She's asleep alright, but a messy one I might add."
"A mess is the least of my worries. Now did you tie the rope?"
"What rope? I don't have a rope? Do you mean the one in YOUR sattle bag?"
“Scallywag, is that any way to speak to you captain?"
"Ney sir, I'll go tie it right away."
After securing the rope, the mysterious stallion made his way up. He entered the rooma and spotted the princess. Her long blue hair was styled in a way that a princess should have it. She didn't have a cutie mark, but he didn't care. He just stared at her.
"Capn'? Are you ok?" whispered Scallywag, hovering next to him.
"...Aye. I was just thinking, how are we gonna... um..."
"Get her to come with us?"
"Aye, that. Ok help me with this."
Scallywag began to push the princess onto the stallion's back. Next, using the bed sheets, he tied her to the stallion.
Carefully, they began to climb back down.
“Capn’ hurry the guards will see us” said Scallywag in a nervous tone.
“I would if this mare wasn’t so heavy.”
“We could have taken the stairs” said scallywag while pointing at a set of stairs on the far side of the tower.
“Arr…. forget it, just help me.”
Finally reaching the ground, a light shined on them from the second floor of the castle.
"Halt! Who goes there?"
"RUN!!!" yelled Scallywag
The two ran out of the castle grounds and into the forest.
"Capn', hurry!"
“I'm trying. It's this mare that's weighing me down.”
“Hang on to her capn’, just a little more!”
Finally they found a small cave on the side of the forest and jumped in. The guards can be heard running in the distance.
“Look over there, they couldn’t have gone far!”
They ran all over the forest searching for the mysterious intruders. After several minutes they finally gave up and returned to the castle.
"Capn', that was too close! We could ave' been caught!"
"Aye, but we weren't. We’re lucky this mare is hard to wake. Mark my words Scallywag, with this mare; I will have my revenge against that reached traitor. He will pay for what he did to my brother and the rest of the crew that sailed with him, or my name isn't Flint Lock."
"Capn' of course your name is Flint Lock. What is this, an introduction?"

To be honest, this is my first story ever. I have no team to help me, this is all me. So if I make any errors, please let me know. I'm not a very good artist, but as soon as I get good, I'll put up some art. So in the mean time enjoy the story and spread the word. Also, please give me your honest opinion.
