Twilight put a hand on her chin, "Hmm, well i kinda need to tidy my desk, but other than that-yawn- nope, i'm gonna take a nap." Spike nodded and began clearing the desk while she was in the kitchen . He put some papers in a stack but dropped one. When he picked it up he saw it was an invitation, and said "Hey Twilight are you going to this party?" Twilight stuck her head out of the kitchen "Oh that?, nah not tonight, but you can go" Spike smiled for a minute, but then frowned, "Oh wait it says that it's for couples" Twilight shrugged " Why don't you ask Rarity?" Spikes face dropped "Just like that, huh?" He face palmed "That won't work" Twilight giggled "why not? Rarity loves parties ,or as she would say "social gatherings" Spike, just ask her. It'll be fine. Trust me." Spike sighed "Okay, but I hope your right," She smiled and went to bed. Spike walked to Rarity's boutique . He gulped as he walked up and knocked on the door. Rarity answered "oh why hello spike darling, does Twilight need something?" He shuffled his feet, "uh.. no i wanted to ask if you'd go to a party with me" Rarity blinked "Why of course darling i love social gathering, and there even more fun with friends" she smiled Spike let out a small sigh of relief Rarity put a hand on her chin "Why isn't Twilight going with you?" Spike rubbed the back of his neck nervously "she's not feeling very well" Rarity nodded "i see, so you decided to be a gentleman and escort me to the party " Spike smiled "yeah, well um not exactly" he blushed slightly and really hoped that she didn't notice Rarity blinked "well i'll be ready by about 4 so i'll see you then darling" and with that she shut the door Spike stood there for a few minutes , then shook his head and started walking. Vinylscratch was carrying a big stack of CD's she was on her way home she had to mix a bunch of music for the party tonight she huffed "why do you always make soo much work for yourself Vinyl?" she then tripped scattering CD's about. Spike turned around "Vinyl! i'm so sorry here let me help you" she then said "oh , hey spike, i-its okay " he handed her some CD's "i should keep my tail out of the way" he said smiling she laughed "nah its cool i should pay more attention" he looked at the CD's "That's a lot of music." She laughed "yeah i was told i'm making mix tapes for the party tonight, hey are you going by chance?" she asked trying to be casual Spike grinned "Yeah i'm taking Rarity" Vinyls face went sad "oh, uh well i got to go get started on these" she then left in a hurry Spike looked after her, and wondered aloud "what was that about?" *** Spike got home a while later "Twilight you won't believe it, she said yes" he said punching the air Twilight looked at him from the couch "Told you she would" he then said "i'm gonna go get changed then i gotta go, you sure you'll be okay without me?" Twilight sighed "yes Spike i'll be okay its just a ACHOO! cold " Spike nodded "okay but if you need me ill be there " Twilight smiled "just go have fun okay?" Spike nodded "okay i'll try i guess" *** Vinyl was rushing about her house, swapping CD's in different keyboards, and computers. "why are you so rushed?" Octavia asked munching on an apple in the doorway "i have to mix 50 Cd's in less than 2 hours!" said vinyl panicking slightly Octavia rolled her eyes "why did you agree to do 50?" Vinyl stopped "because that was a week ago, and i haven't made any!" Octavia laughed "you always do this, you procrastinate till the last minute, then panic when the deadline is close" Vinyl lowered her shades "thank you for the lecture MOM" she then flicked her tail and resumed making the CD's about ten minutes later Vinyl collapsed on the couch "whew i am exhausted" Octavia was practicing with her violin "so did anything interesting happen today?" Vinyl remembered her encounter with Spike and smiled a little "well i Saw spike today" Octavia arched her brow "Oh?" Vinyl then said "tav , can you keep a secret?" Octavia rolled her eyes "you have a crush on spike?" Vinyl blinked"h-how did you know?" Vinyl frowned "Hey these jeans are comfy!, besides i don't like wearing fancy clothes" she folded her arms Octavia then said "Well if you want spike to notice you you have to make an effort" Vinyl paled again "But i already told you, he's taking Rarity, so it dosen't matter" Octavia shook her head and sighed "Wait her ill let you borrow one of my dresses, you'l thank me later" Vinyl sighed "I don't have a choice do i?" Octavia smirked "Nope" *** Spike arrived at the party wearing a green vest and a white button up with a black bow tie and black slacks Rarity looked at him and said "Spike thank you for bringing me to this party, ooh, there's prince blue blood!" she then rushed over to him Spike stood there "Um rarity wait!" She stopped and turned around "Yes?" spike saw the prince glaring at him "Uh, just ah, meet me back here, okay?" Spike smiled " Well i used parsley for seasoning the omelettes , and i sprinkled cinnamon on top of the pancakes" Octavia walked by "Sorry but i'll have to eat on the go" Spike smiled "Okay that's cool, im glad you like it" *** a while later spike is cleaning the dishes and walks over to vinyl as she licks her plate clean "That good eh?" Vinyl smiled sheepishly "Yeah heh heh" As spike was finishing the dishes Vinyl said "uh spike?" Spike turned around drying a plate "Yeah?" Spike lifts her chin "I promise, your the best girlfriend i could ask for vinyl" Vinyl pulled away wiping her eyes with a relieved smile "So uh what are we gonna do for breakfast?" Spike looked at the mess that was the kitchen "How about we go to sugar cube corner and get something?" Twilight walked in "What the hay happened in here?" Vinyl looked down ashamed "I had an accident while trying to cook, i'm really sorry about the wall twilight" Spike looked at Twilight "She was trying to cook breakfast" Twilight laughed "Vinyl, its fine don't worry, i wouldn't be mad about something like that, but is your arm okay?" Vinyl looked at her bandaged arm "Oh yeah, its fine now, thanks to spike" Twilight smiled "Well good, uh, spike i need you for about an hour okay?" Spike looked at vinyl "Duty calls" Vinyl smiled and kissed his cheek "Okay i'll go and get breakfast, what do you want twilight?" Twilight declined "Nah i'm good" *** shortly after Vinyl left rarity came to the house Twilight opened the door "Hey Rarity, Whats up?" Rarity looked out of breath "WHERES Spike!?" Spike looked up from the books he was sorting "Uh,... here" Rarity bounded over to spike, who was trying not to get excited as he saw her chest heaving Spike looked up just in time not to get caught "Whats up?" Rarity winced "Spike i am terribly sorry, blue blood told me what he said to you, i feel just dreadful about it, i appologise" Spike was dumbfounded, with the recent events he'd actually forgotten about blueblood "Its okay Rarity , it wasn't your fault" Vinyl saw rarity talking to spike, holding him and was hurt , sh turned away from the door, and dropped the gemstone she had bopught for him Spike saw vinyl running away "Vinyl wait!" Vinyl turned around to spike as he ran towards her "No! spike i was stupid to think you cared about me!, you only care about Rariyt , and now you have what you want" she turned around and did not see the cart coming at full speed... regrets regrets Spike was waiting in the lobby of the hospital, he looked like a sad puppy,well more like he watched a sad puppy die Apple jack put a haand on his shoulder "Spike, honest im really sorry about vinyl, twas an accident" Spike sighed "I know applejack, im just really worried about her" Applejack hugged him "Don't worry about it spike i'm sure she'll be fine " Spike knew she had no way of knowing that but, pointing that out would be rude and pointless , so he just nodded Octavia suddenly came up and looked at spike with sadness in her eyes Spike felt his heart in his throat "Is she?" Octavia shook her head "No she's alive, but she's in a coma" Spike sighed with relief , but was still sad that she was in a coma "For how long?" Apple jack took a deep breath "These things can take a while spike " *** Three weeks later, at Flutter-shy's house Spike sat by vinyls bedside watching her , hands clasped on hers "Please come back to me vinyl" he then began to cry into her sheets Vinyls eyes slowly opened and in a weak voice she spoke "Spike?, why are you crying?" Spike gasped , and then hugged her tight "Oh thank celestia your awake " he then realized she was having trouble breathing and let go "sorry" Vinyl coughed "Its okay, but what happened ?" Spike looked at her "you were hit by a cart" Vinyl then remembered everything, seeing him with rarity ,and the cart "Spike can i ask you something?" she began coughing violently Spike said "Wait, let me get you a drink" Fluttershy was walking up the stairs with a plate of sandwiches "Here's your lunch spike" Spike looked at her "Shes awake!" he said with a huge smile Fluttershy gave a gasp of joy "She is?, oh, do you think , she's hungry?" Spike nodded "yeah, just give her my sandwich, i'm gonna go grab her some milk" Fluttershy nodded and went into the room, she went over and hugged vinyl tight "Thank goodness your okay" Vinyl gave a small laugh, trying not to cough "its nice to see you too fluttershy" Fluttershy then picked up the sandwich and held it to her mouth Vinyl smiled "Oh no thanks, i can feed myself" Fluttershy blushed "oh right" Vinyl looked at her "So uh, how long was i out?" Fluttershy looked at her "Three weeks" Vinyl was shocked ," so how long has spike been here ?" Fluttershy said again "Three weeks" Vinyls eyes went wide "When did he sleep??" Fluttershy sighed "I tried to get him to, but he only slept about an hour at a time, but would never leave your side" Vinyl couldn't believe it "he does care about me" Flutter shy looked at her "Of course he does, spike was heart broken when you got hurt, he almost worked him self into a stroke" Vinyl looked at the ground "I owe him a big apology , i thought he was cheating on me with Rarity" Fluttershy looked confused "What?" Vinyl looked at her "Oh come on you know how he feels about her" Fluttershy sighed "Yes spike used to have a big crush on her, but she treats him like a little brother" Vinyl nodded "She does?" Fluttershy face palmed "Yes, there's only one pony he's crazy for now" Vinyl looked confused "Who?" Fluttershy sighed "You silly, why else would he go three whole weeks without sleep " Vinyl blushed "you've got a point" Spike walked into the room and handed her the glass of milk "here" Vinyl took a big gulp "Ahh, thanks" Spike smiled "im so glad your awake" Vinyl looked at him "spike... about Rarity" Spikes face dropped "Vinyli swear it wasn't what it looked like, she was appologising for blue blood, please don't be mad, i know what it must have looked like but..." Vinyl cut spike off with a kiss "Its okay spike, and i appologise for running away like that... again, it was just hard for me to believe that a guy like you actually cared about me" Spike looked hurt "W-why?" Vinyl shook her head "I was unfair to think that spike, i know you love me now, im just sorry i had to go into a coma to see it" Spike lifted her chin "I do, so much" then he kissed her with all the passion that had built up the last three weeks Vinyl took a breath "Wow, spike that was..., wow" Spike smiled "ready to go?" Vinyl nodded but frowned when her legs wouldnt move Spike gave her a look "Your legs are broken, you'll need a wheel char for about a month" Vinyl looked crushed "I i will?" Spike smiled "But dont worry ill be there for you" he then lifted her out of the bed and carried her over to the wheelchair and set her down. Vinyl looked up at him "You'l take care of me?" Spike leaned down and kissed her "Always"
the partySpike was sorting the books on Twilight's shelf when he heard her come in. "Hey Spike" said the lavender mare. Spike looked at her from the ladder "hey Twilight, I'm about done with this bookshelf, was there anything else you needed?" Twilight put a hand on her chin, "Hmm, well i kinda need to tidy my desk, but other than that-yawn- nope, i'm gonna take a nap." Spike nodded and began clearing the desk while she was in the kitchen . He put some papers in a stack but dropped one. When he picked it up he saw it was an invitation, and said "Hey Twilight are you going to this party?" Twilight stuck her head out of the kitchen "Oh that?, nah not tonight, but you can go" Spike smiled for a minute, but then frowned, "Oh wait it says that it's for couples" Twilight shrugged " Why don't you ask Rarity?" Spikes face dropped "Just like that, huh?" He face palmed "That won't work" Twilight giggled "why not? Rarity loves parties ,or as she would say "social gatherings" Spike, just ask her. It'll be fine. Trust me." Spike sighed "Okay, but I hope your right," She smiled and went to bed. Spike walked to Rarity's boutique . He gulped as he walked up and knocked on the door. Rarity answered "oh why hello spike darling, does Twilight need something?" He shuffled his feet, "uh.. no i wanted to ask if you'd go to a party with me" Rarity blinked "Why of course darling i love social gathering, and there even more fun with friends" she smiled Spike let out a small sigh of relief Rarity put a hand on her chin "Why isn't Twilight going with you?" Spike rubbed the back of his neck nervously "she's not feeling very well" Rarity nodded "i see, so you decided to be a gentleman and escort me to the party " Spike smiled "yeah, well um not exactly" he blushed slightly and really hoped that she didn't notice Rarity blinked "well i'll be ready by about 4 so i'll see you then darling" and with that she shut the door Spike stood there for a few minutes , then shook his head and started walking. Vinylscratch was carrying a big stack of CD's she was on her way home she had to mix a bunch of music for the party tonight she huffed "why do you always make soo much work for yourself Vinyl?" she then tripped scattering CD's about. Spike turned around "Vinyl! i'm so sorry here let me help you" she then said "oh , hey spike, i-its okay " he handed her some CD's "i should keep my tail out of the way" he said smiling she laughed "nah its cool i should pay more attention" he looked at the CD's "That's a lot of music." She laughed "yeah i was told i'm making mix tapes for the party tonight, hey are you going by chance?" she asked trying to be casual Spike grinned "Yeah i'm taking Rarity" Vinyls face went sad "oh, uh well i got to go get started on these" she then left in a hurry Spike looked after her, and wondered aloud "what was that about?" *** Spike got home a while later "Twilight you won't believe it, she said yes" he said punching the air Twilight looked at him from the couch "Told you she would" he then said "i'm gonna go get changed then i gotta go, you sure you'll be okay without me?" Twilight sighed "yes Spike i'll be okay its just a ACHOO! cold " Spike nodded "okay but if you need me ill be there " Twilight smiled "just go have fun okay?" Spike nodded "okay i'll try i guess" *** Vinyl was rushing about her house, swapping CD's in different keyboards, and computers. "why are you so rushed?" Octavia asked munching on an apple in the doorway "i have to mix 50 Cd's in less than 2 hours!" said vinyl panicking slightly Octavia rolled her eyes "why did you agree to do 50?" Vinyl stopped "because that was a week ago, and i haven't made any!" Octavia laughed "you always do this, you procrastinate till the last minute, then panic when the deadline is close" Vinyl lowered her shades "thank you for the lecture MOM" she then flicked her tail and resumed making the CD's about ten minutes later Vinyl collapsed on the couch "whew i am exhausted" Octavia was practicing with her violin "so did anything interesting happen today?" Vinyl remembered her encounter with Spike and smiled a little "well i Saw spike today" Octavia arched her brow "Oh?" Vinyl then said "tav , can you keep a secret?" Octavia rolled her eyes "you have a crush on spike?" Vinyl blinked"h-how did you know?" Octavia smiled "dear its easy to see you really light up around him" she paused "your a lot more laid back when he's around Vinyl replied "oh, i didn't realize it was that obvious " Octavia stepped beside her with a hoof and put a hand on her shoulder "it's not dear i just know you well, you should invite him to the party" Vinyl looked stricken "i can't , he's taking Rarity and lets face it I'm nothing like her " Octavia looked into her shades "no your not, your you, that's not a bad thing dear" Vinyl smiled "thanks tav" the two friends hugged
arrival and circumstancesSpike was waiting for Rarity, he looked at his watch as he sat on the couch what's taking her so long? he pondered to himself. Rarity poked her head out of the bathroom "Almost done darling sorry to make you wait" Spike waved his hands "It's no problem, really" she smiled and went back in . spike leaned back on the couch and sighed a while later rarity came to the living room in a red dress. "How do i look?" she asked spikes eyes were wide "Like a million bits" he smiled brightly rarity kissed his cheek "Why thank you darling your so sweet" Spike blushed madly "R-ready to go?" she nodded and they left. *** Vinyl was putting all her CD's into a backpack and put it over her shoulders but before she could leave a strong hand made her sit down "wha-?" she said Octavia then said "Where are you going?" Vinyl looked at her "Um to the party, duh" Octavia face-palmed "You cant be serious, not dressed like that!" Vinyl frowned "Hey these jeans are comfy!, besides i don't like wearing fancy clothes" she folded her arms Octavia then said "Well if you want spike to notice you you have to make an effort" Vinyl paled again "But i already told you, he's taking Rarity, so it dosen't matter" Octavia shook her head and sighed "Wait her ill let you borrow one of my dresses, you'l thank me later" Vinyl sighed "I don't have a choice do i?" Octavia smirked "Nope" *** Spike arrived at the party wearing a green vest and a white button up with a black bow tie and black slacks Rarity looked at him and said "Spike thank you for bringing me to this party, ooh, there's prince blue blood!" she then rushed over to him Spike stood there "Um rarity wait!" She stopped and turned around "Yes?" spike saw the prince glaring at him "Uh, just ah, meet me back here, okay?" Rarity laughed "oh dear I'm sure he could take me home" Spike wanted to cry " Oh, uh okay then" after she had gone he stood there for a few minutes before he decided to go outside and get some fresh air. *** Vinyl was walking along in a nice black dress, trying not to fall over from the weight of her backpack. ash she approached the party she heard saw a familiar face Spike waved "Hey Vinyl" she saw how he was dressed and nearly gasped , oh my god, hes so handsome! she thought to herself Spike cocked his head "What ya looking at?" Vinyl blushed and looked away "uh nothing you just look really nice" Spike smiled "You too i like your dress" Vinyl smiled "This old thing, thanks" she then started to fall backwards. Spike grabbed her hand but was dragged down too, landing on top of her "Ah, um s-sorry, i uh" he got off and helped her up Vinyl blushed deep red "I its okay it was my fault i didn't mean to grab you": Spike smile d"Okay, got all the CD's huh?" Vinyl sighed "Yeah,m I'm not gonna have much fun, i have to pass them all out" Spike smiled "can i help?" vinyl then spoke before she could think "But what about Rarity?" Spike physically deflated "She's busy with prince blue blood" Vinyl put a hand to her mouth "but you invited her as a couple didn't you?" Spike looked at the ground sadly "That's what i thought, but i guess Im not good enough for Rarity" Vinyl suddenly made him look up "Dont say that spike your a really good person, and if Rarity can't see it, then its her loss!" Spike was Wide eyed "Thanks Vinyl, that really means a lot" Vinyl blushed and stepped back "Well its true" Spike smiled "Well Those Cd's aren't going to pass themselves out" Vinyl smiled "Oh right ha ha" she gave him half and they parted ways for a while *** Spike had been done for a while, he saw rarity was finally alone so he started towards her, just to be stopped by the prince "what do you think your doing?" Spike looked at him surprised "I'm just gonna talk to Rarity" the prince smiled "No, your not, and let me tell you why, your a dragon" Spikes eyebrows lowered "Gee, i hadn't noticed" The prince scoffed "Did you really think you ever had a chance with a mare of her grace and beauty" Spike frowned "Why are you being such a jerk i just wanted to talk to her!" the prince laughed "Why would she waste her time with a beast like you" Spike was getting mad now "Because i'm Twilight's assistant, and Rarity's friend!" The prince snickered "Don't make me laugh, assistant?, why dont you go burn down a village or something, its all dragons are good at" Spike turned now and started to walk away very quickly **** Vinyl was handing out her last Cd when she turned and saw spike, he accidentally bumped into her "S-sorry" he said, Vinyl saw tears in his eyes then he left Vinyl followed him "Spike, what's wrong?" Spike stopped "Nothing, im just going home before i attack ponyville" Vinyl was shocked "What??" Spike then turned around, with tears streaming down his face "Just don't worry about it okay, i'm glad i could help you but i gotta go now" Vinyl then said "But why? what happened, please Spike , you can tell me" Spike sighed "can we talk in private?"

Spike started to cry "But what if he's right, i think im being helpful, but maybe its all in my head" Vinyl stared at him "Spike, dont say that your very helpful, without you ponyville would be pretty insane, because your always helping people" Spike looked at her "You really think so?" he sniffled Vinyl smiled "I know i would have been working really late if not for you helping me with the CD's , now i can paaartayy" she said swaying her hips with her arms raised , she quickly stopped and giggled a little "sorry i've been drinking a little" Spike then raised an eyebrow "there's booze?" Vinyl nodded "Yeah, some" Spike followed her to the bar *** a few drinks later and spike was pretty drunk "cmon lets go dance" he said Vinyl giggled at him as he tried to keep his balance but joined him on the dance floor as they danced it switched to a slow song and she was surprised how good spike was at slow dancing , even while drunk he kept rhythm as the song ended stamp on the ground began playing and spike said "watch this " he began to hop on one leg whilst kicking the other out to the beat. he then turned around leaning forward kicking both legs, then turned around and leaned back and kicked Vinyl clapped "wow spike i didn't know you could jumpstep" spike walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek "I love you Rarity " Vinyl was horrified, she didn't know how to react, she saw spike frown for a second and just did the first thing she could think of "Oh do you darling?" she said sounding very much like Rarity spike smiled dozily "u huh" Vinyl laughed and said "Darling i apologize for how that wretched prince treated you earlier" Spike smiled "No need to apologize ,i met a really nice pony here" Vinyl then said in her usual voice "Uh spike it, was me " Spike looked up at her "Yeah hey vinyl i was just telling rarity about you" he looked around confused "where did she go" Vinyl felt really bad now god why did i do that i'm so stupid! she looked at him "Spike i'm gonna head home now" Spike looked at her "You sure? I was having fun" Vinyl nodded "Yeah.... I'm sure " she said looking down Spike asked "Want me to walk you home?" his eyes were half shut but he smiled Vinyl "i don't live that far" Spike hiccuped "That's good because i feel the ground moving " Vinyl sighed "Sure, ill head by Twilight's first " *** as they walked Vinyl giggled "i think you had too much to drink" Spike nodded "Yeah, Twilight's gonna kill me" Vinyl thought for a moment before saying very quietly "You could stay at my place if you want " Spike looked at her "R-really?, you'd do that for me" Vinyl nodded "Of course what are friends for?" Spike hugged her "thank you so much" Once they got there, Spike plopped onto the couch and Vinyl looked at him "what?" he asked Vinyl shook off her daze "Nothing, uh good night" she then left and spike soon passed out in her room Vinyl began to cry "I have to tell him the truth, but he'll probably hate me for lying " she sobbed into her knees
confessions confessions The next morning Octavia was poking Vinyl "Pst wake up!" Vinyl woke up with a yawn "what is it tav?" Octavia looked frustrated "Spike is in the kitchen, mind explaining why?" Vinyl blinked groggily "I don't know why he's in the kitchen but , i told him he could crash here last night" Octavia face palmed "why? " Vinyl sighed " sorry i just didn't want Twilight to get mad at him" Octavia sighed "Okay okay i get it you were being nice" suddenly there was a knock at the door "Yeah?" asked Octavia Spike hesitated "Uh breakfast is ready and there's plenty if you guys want any" Octavia smiled "Oh that so kind spike thank you" *** Vinyl was soon in the kitchen "Wow spike this looks very good" Spike shrugged "Eh i try" Vinyl smiled "No i mean it the omelet is soo good, so is the pancakes ,m what all did you do?" Spike smiled " Well i used parsley for seasoning the omelettes , and i sprinkled cinnamon on top of the pancakes" Octavia walked by "Sorry but i'll have to eat on the go" Spike smiled "Okay that's cool, im glad you like it" *** a while later spike is cleaning the dishes and walks over to vinyl as she licks her plate clean "That good eh?" Vinyl smiled sheepishly "Yeah heh heh" As spike was finishing the dishes Vinyl said "uh spike?" Spike turned around drying a plate "Yeah?" Vinyl bit her lip "I have something to tell you" spike put the plate up "Shoot" Vinyl took a deep breath "i feel bad about last night" Spike laughed "i don't remember much, what happened?" Vinyl hesitated "well you uh, kinda um... kissed me" Spikes face went blank "I what?" Vinyl's already red cheeks deepened "just a little" Spike scratched his neck "sorry about that" Vinyl shook her head "don't be, i did something really bad after" Spike raised an eyebrow "what do u mean?" Vinyl looked down now "you called me Rarity before you kissed me " Spike face palmed " i'm sorry" Vinyl now cried "but after you kissed me i pretended to be her i talked like her for a while" spike was dumbfounded "why?" Vinyl cried more "i just wanted to make you feel better after what the prince said, i know it was wrong,spike im so sorry" then spike did something that suprised vinyl, he hugged her tight "Vinyl thank you" Vinyl was shocked "Y-your not mad?" Spike pulled back and looked at her in the eye "for you trying to make me feel better?, how could i its the nicest thing someponys done for me in a while" Vinyl sighed into his shoulder "i thought you would hate me" Spike laughed "Hate you , how could i your like my best friend" Vinyl cringed at the word friend "spike i need to tll you something else" Spike nodded "Okay" Vinyl started to panic "i uh... i..i" spike looked at her with full attention Vinyl pushedhim away "No i i cant,..." she began to walk away Spike was worried now "whats wrong?" Vinyl then said "spike i just cant i i'm sorry i have to go" and like that she left, spike stood there sad and confused "What did i do?" Vinyl ran to the only pony she thought could help and knocked on the door rapidly Twilight answered "oh hey vinyl , where is spike" Vinyl nearly tackled her "I need to talk to you!" *** Twilight nodded with a confused look "so you think you have a crush on spike but your afraid he would hate you if you toldhim, ruining your friendship" Vinyl nodded "Yeah i'm so lost i shouldn't have these feelings for him right?, please dont tell him" Twilight smiled "i wont, and well spike has loved rarity for a long time and..." she saw vinyls hurt expression Vinyl looked down "Yeah i know, he likes Rarity, and ill never be as good as her,im not good enough for spike" she then ran away with twilight calling after her *** spike came through the door a while later, walking slow Twilight looked at him and knew what was wrong "Spike,its not what it seems like , with Vinyl, she came by" Spike looked up at her and said "ih si she told you the reason why she hates my guts?" Twilight could tell he'd been crying"She doesn't hate you she..." twilight suddenly remembered her promise to vinyl "she doesn't hate you" she repeated Spike looked at her "Then why did she run away from me,i must have hurt her feelings really bad somehow" Two;ight was in a jam, she couldn't betray vinyls trust but didn't want spike to think it was his fault Spike sighed "can i go sleep for a while?" Twilight knew spike wouldn't be "sleeping" but nodded "yeah spike sleep as long as you need to after spike went upstairs, twilight set out to hunt down vinyl Vinyl was crying her eyes out near the river , "i can't tellhim, he'll hate me, im not good enough for him anyway" all of a sudden she was hit hard in the jaw ,when hsr vision cleared she saw an angry mare Vinyl was shocked "Twilight, why did you hit me?" Twilight fumed "Because spike thinks you hate him" Vinyl, having forgotten the pain iin her jaw blinked "What?, why would he think that?" Twilight took a deep breath ""he thinks he hurt your feelings because you started crying and just ran out of the room, wich by the way is what he's doing in his room Vinyl stood up and gasped with her hands over her mouth "No , oh my no no no" Twilight said "Sorry for hitting you, but you need to make this right" Vinyl nodded and rushed off
truthsSpike was in his room now, and he was curled into a ball. he'd been crying for an hour Fluttershy walked into the room "Aww spike i wish you would eat something" Spike grew angry "I told you i'm not hungry!" seeing her cringe spike was sad "Fluttershy i, im sorry im just really upset right now" Fluttershy gulped but nodded "About vinyl?" spike nodded "Yeah, i'm sorry for shouting, i just wish i knew what i did wrong" Fluttershy sat down next to him "Well, maybe you didn't do anything" Spike wiped his eyes and looked at her "Then why did she run from me?" Fluttershy made sure she had his eye contact "Then maybe you should go talk to her" and motioned towards the doorway where vinyl was standing Vinyl looked sad "H hi spike" she said nervously fluttershy left the room quietly Spike crossed his arms "Can i help you with anything, or are you just gonna run away again" Vinyl sighed and looked down "I guess i deserve that, but i promise i'm not going to run this time" Spike unfolded his arms and sat on the bed "Okay, i'm listening " Vinyl took a deep breath "You know how you feel about rarity?" Spike look surprised "what do you mean?" Vinyl sighed "twilight told me, you care a lot about her, that you have feelings for her, but she still treats you like a friend" Spike was shocked "wow you know a lot" Vinyl took a deep breath "Spike i- i sorta feel the same way..." Spike blinked "About who?" Vinyl looked down and with barely a whisper she said it "About you..." Spike blinked "Y-you do?" Vinyl nodded "Yeah, that's why i played along when you called me rarity, because for just a few minutes you liked me the same way, i know it was stupid, but i couldn't help it, i feel like I've been friend zoned by you " she was crying now Spike gave her a concerned look "Whoa vinyl why are you crying, it's okay, i'm flattered really" Vinyl sobbed "But i'll never be as good as rarity, i'm not near as pretty as her, or anything like her" Spike suddenly kissed Vinyl , with much passion . the mare didn't know what to do , other than sigh and let him Spike backed away and said "You don't need to be like rarity, i already like you for who you are" Vinyl's eyes now had tears of joy "Really? Do you mean that?" Spike nodded "Yeah, and id love to date you " Vinyl smiled and this time kissed him "i cant believe you said yes " Spike smirked "why wouldn't i , your very sweet, and funny, and your cute in ways rarity can't pull off" Vinyl blushed "Aww, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me " Spike smiled "Get used to it" *** Spike was walking down the street with vinyl holding her hand . Twilight saw them and smiled "Well i see things definitely worked out" Vinyl smiled sheepishly "Yeah hee hee" Twilight nodded "Good, uh spike can i see you alone for a second?" Spike gave Vinyl an apologetic look but followed Twilight Twilight turned around once out of earshot "Spike here's some bits , take her out somewhere nice" Spike looked at the money "Oh no twilight i couldn't" Twilight out it in his pocket "She deserves it spike, but tell her its your own money" Spike hugged her "Thanks twilight" Twilight smiled "Your welcome spike" Spike returned to vinyl with a happy sigh Vinyl looked at him "what was that about?" he smiled "Nothing, but where do you wanna go for dinner, it's on me" Vinyl smiled "How about a club?"
Da clubKill or Be Killed Spike walked in with vinyl holding his hand and heard a song playing Vinyl smiled "wanna get some drinks?" she tried to holler over the song Spike smiled "yeah sure" and bobbed his head to the beat Vinyl disappeared into the crowd swaying her hips to the music Spike started to move his feet a little, with the music Vinyl approached the bar "Hey neon whats up?" Neon lights smiled "Well if it isn't the best mare dub-stepper in ponyville" Vinyl laughed "yeah sure, just get me two bass amps" Neon mixed the drinks and gave them to her "You mean you actually got Octavia to come?" Vinyl laughed "Actually i'm on a date, with spike" Neon looked surprised "Hey that's great!" Vinyl smiled And walked away Spike was now doing something with his arms making them move like a snake Vinyl came back and said "Oh come on spike you can dance better than that" Spike began to stomp his foot ,raising his arms above his head Vinyl laughed "better but you can do more honey" Spike began to step to the sides and bend opposite Vinyl laughed more "Your a better dancer when your drunk" Spike Smirked "then i guess i better get drunk " Vinyl smirked and dragged him out to the dance floor "Let me show you how its done " She began to raise her arms above her head and rotate her waist like she was moving an invisible hula hoop Spike stared , he hadn't ever seen a pony, much less a mare move like that, Vinyl stopped "Something wrong?" Spike shook his head "No uh never mind" he began to dance too but in a lesser skill class Vinyl then got by his ear "You know i made this song" Spikes eyes went wide "Wow really?" Vinyl smiled "Yep , most of the music actually" spike smiled "Tats awesome" vinyls horn lit up "ooh here comes the best part " Spike looked confused "What?" Vinyl smiled "The bass drop!" she spread her arms out wide and began lowering to the floor Vinyl looked at spike "i'm about to unleash the kraken" Spike took a cautious step back vinyl launched off the floor leaning all the way back with her neck, then she shook her shoulders , moved her arms close to her thighs, went into a crouch and moved her legs open and closed then stood sensually. she took a few strut steps over to spike and grabbed his collar and dragged him over and began to move around him. Spike was trying not to blush but it was hard seeing how vinyl was dancing Vinyl winked at him "wanna rest?" He nodded "sure" she then led him over to a seat and sat him down, then st on his lap and kissed his cheek he smiled "Your really talented Vinyl" Vinyl smiled "With what music , or dancing?" Spike held her hand "Both of course" they sat and listened to the song further, then it stopped the crowd that had been watching vinyol suddenly began to chant "Vinyl Vinyl,Vinyl" Spike looked at her "Why are they chanting for you" Vinyl rolled her eyes with a smile "They want me to perform a song" Spike smiled wide "Oh cool" Vinyl looked at him "Your okay with that?" He laughed "of course go right ahead" Vinyl kissed his cheek causing him to blush "Thanks soo much spike " she then went up to the booth and said "anypony ready to get craaazy?" the crowd cheered and spike let out a "wooooh" vinyl pushed a button and a song began to play as lazers and everything turned on Vinylicious vinyl bobbed her head with her headphones while she moved the dials and things She did a voice part and the crowd went nuts SPike was hollering "Woooh yeah Vinyl" spike was amazed at vinyl he had no iedeah she could do any of this (listen to the whole song) *** Spike greeted vinyl "That was amazing, how did you do all that" Vinyl blushed "I'm just really good with computers" Spike tried to kiss her but stumbled "Sorry im a bit drunk " Vinyl giggled "I can tell, im too tired to walk all the way home, would twilight be mad if i stayed there?" Spike smiled "Nah she's staying over at fluttershy's tonight" Vinyl gave a mischevious smile "Oh really?"
The Next morning The Next morning Spike opened his eyes to see blue? he stared at it and noticed it was hair , with a white horn oh god, Vinyl what did i do? Vinyl looked up at him "Good morning stud" Spikes eyes went wide "You men we, actually uh we" Vinyl laughed "Spike relax i'm just messing with you we cuddled that's all" Spike blushed "Then why are you in your underwear? Vinyl laughed and shrugged "I got too hot , so i took off a few layers" Spike gave a suave smirk "Wouldn't take much" Vinyl winked "Well look who's being smooth today" Spike laughed " want some breakfast?" Vinyl made him sit down "No i'm cooking this time, uh if that's okay" Spike laughed " since you insist, i'm gonna go hop in the shower" Vinyl smiled "Kay " *** Spike opened the door and was greeted with a wall of smoke "Wheres the fire!" Vinyl was coughing, as spike rushed in and grabbed the flaming pan and put it in the sink dousing the fire with water Spike looked over at vinyl who was in tears "Whats wrong?" Vinyl held her hand "I got burnt pretty bad" Spike rushed and got a first aid kit, and wrapped her hand up "better?" he asked Vinyl nodded sadly "Yeah, but now i know that im a terrible cook" Spike put a hand on her shoulder "Hey don't be so hard on your self, im sure it would have tasted great" Vinyl shrugged "I guess..." Spike looked at her level in the eye "Vinyl, whats wrong?" Vinyl hesitated " i've just been thinking lately that...," spike looked at her "Yes?" Vinyl took a deep breath "I don't deserve to be with someone like you, you deserve someone better than me" Spike hugged her suddenly "Don't you dare say that!, your amazing vinyl, so what if you cant cook, it dosent bother me, tiny flaws like that aren't a big deal, okay?" Vinyl sighed into the crook of his neck "promise?" Spike lifts her chin "I promise, your the best girlfriend i could ask for vinyl" Vinyl pulled away wiping her eyes with a relieved smile "So uh what are we gonna do for breakfast?" Spike looked at the mess that was the kitchen "How about we go to sugar cube corner and get something?" Twilight walked in "What the hay happened in here?" Vinyl looked down ashamed "I had an accident while trying to cook, i'm really sorry about the wall twilight" Spike looked at Twilight "She was trying to cook breakfast" Twilight laughed "Vinyl, its fine don't worry, i wouldn't be mad about something like that, but is your arm okay?" Vinyl looked at her bandaged arm "Oh yeah, its fine now, thanks to spike" Twilight smiled "Well good, uh, spike i need you for about an hour okay?" Spike looked at vinyl "Duty calls" Vinyl smiled and kissed his cheek "Okay i'll go and get breakfast, what do you want twilight?" Twilight declined "Nah i'm good" *** shortly after Vinyl left rarity came to the house Twilight opened the door "Hey Rarity, Whats up?" Rarity looked out of breath "WHERES Spike!?" Spike looked up from the books he was sorting "Uh,... here" Rarity bounded over to spike, who was trying not to get excited as he saw her chest heaving Spike looked up just in time not to get caught "Whats up?" Rarity winced "Spike i am terribly sorry, blue blood told me what he said to you, i feel just dreadful about it, i appologise" Spike was dumbfounded, with the recent events he'd actually forgotten about blueblood "Its okay Rarity , it wasn't your fault" Vinyl saw rarity talking to spike, holding him and was hurt , sh turned away from the door, and dropped the gemstone she had bopught for him Spike saw vinyl running away "Vinyl wait!" Vinyl turned around to spike as he ran towards her "No! spike i was stupid to think you cared about me!, you only care about Rariyt , and now you have what you want" she turned around and did not see the cart coming at full speed...
regrets regrets Spike was waiting in the lobby of the hospital, he looked like a sad puppy,well more like he watched a sad puppy die Apple jack put a haand on his shoulder "Spike, honest im really sorry about vinyl, twas an accident" Spike sighed "I know applejack, im just really worried about her" Applejack hugged him "Don't worry about it spike i'm sure she'll be fine " Spike knew she had no way of knowing that but, pointing that out would be rude and pointless , so he just nodded Octavia suddenly came up and looked at spike with sadness in her eyes Spike felt his heart in his throat "Is she?" Octavia shook her head "No she's alive, but she's in a coma" Spike sighed with relief , but was still sad that she was in a coma "For how long?" Apple jack took a deep breath "These things can take a while spike " *** Three weeks later, at Flutter-shy's house Spike sat by vinyls bedside watching her , hands clasped on hers "Please come back to me vinyl" he then began to cry into her sheets Vinyls eyes slowly opened and in a weak voice she spoke "Spike?, why are you crying?" Spike gasped , and then hugged her tight "Oh thank celestia your awake " he then realized she was having trouble breathing and let go "sorry" Vinyl coughed "Its okay, but what happened ?" Spike looked at her "you were hit by a cart" Vinyl then remembered everything, seeing him with rarity ,and the cart "Spike can i ask you something?" she began coughing violently Spike said "Wait, let me get you a drink" Fluttershy was walking up the stairs with a plate of sandwiches "Here's your lunch spike" Spike looked at her "Shes awake!" he said with a huge smile Fluttershy gave a gasp of joy "She is?, oh, do you think , she's hungry?" Spike nodded "yeah, just give her my sandwich, i'm gonna go grab her some milk" Fluttershy nodded and went into the room, she went over and hugged vinyl tight "Thank goodness your okay" Vinyl gave a small laugh, trying not to cough "its nice to see you too fluttershy" Fluttershy then picked up the sandwich and held it to her mouth Vinyl smiled "Oh no thanks, i can feed myself" Fluttershy blushed "oh right" Vinyl looked at her "So uh, how long was i out?" Fluttershy looked at her "Three weeks" Vinyl was shocked ," so how long has spike been here ?" Fluttershy said again "Three weeks" Vinyls eyes went wide "When did he sleep??" Fluttershy sighed "I tried to get him to, but he only slept about an hour at a time, but would never leave your side" Vinyl couldn't believe it "he does care about me" Flutter shy looked at her "Of course he does, spike was heart broken when you got hurt, he almost worked him self into a stroke" Vinyl looked at the ground "I owe him a big apology , i thought he was cheating on me with Rarity" Fluttershy looked confused "What?" Vinyl looked at her "Oh come on you know how he feels about her" Fluttershy sighed "Yes spike used to have a big crush on her, but she treats him like a little brother" Vinyl nodded "She does?" Fluttershy face palmed "Yes, there's only one pony he's crazy for now" Vinyl looked confused "Who?" Fluttershy sighed "You silly, why else would he go three whole weeks without sleep " Vinyl blushed "you've got a point" Spike walked into the room and handed her the glass of milk "here" Vinyl took a big gulp "Ahh, thanks" Spike smiled "im so glad your awake" Vinyl looked at him "spike... about Rarity" Spikes face dropped "Vinyli swear it wasn't what it looked like, she was appologising for blue blood, please don't be mad, i know what it must have looked like but..." Vinyl cut spike off with a kiss "Its okay spike, and i appologise for running away like that... again, it was just hard for me to believe that a guy like you actually cared about me" Spike looked hurt "W-why?" Vinyl shook her head "I was unfair to think that spike, i know you love me now, im just sorry i had to go into a coma to see it" Spike lifted her chin "I do, so much" then he kissed her with all the passion that had built up the last three weeks Vinyl took a breath "Wow, spike that was..., wow" Spike smiled "ready to go?" Vinyl nodded but frowned when her legs wouldnt move Spike gave her a look "Your legs are broken, you'll need a wheel char for about a month" Vinyl looked crushed "I i will?" Spike smiled "But dont worry ill be there for you" he then lifted her out of the bed and carried her over to the wheelchair and set her down. Vinyl looked up at him "You'l take care of me?" Spike leaned down and kissed her "Always"
