Chapters Celestia sat on her balcony, as she began to raise the sun, she couldn't stop thinking about Luna. She was worried about her dear sister, and what could be happening to her.
She sighed, as she finishes raising the sun, she decides to go check on Luna, to make sure she was alright.
As Tia walked in she could see Luna's mane partly hidden under the covers of the bed. She heard Luna moan, as she magically levitated the covers off of her sister.
The sight that Celestia saw wasn't what she was looking for... At all.
Luna's eyes were bloodshot, she looked extremely tired, and weak.
"Dear Luna!?" What in the name of the Moon happened here?!" She asked, sounding increasingly worried about her beloved sister.
Luna could only manage to sputter out a few words.
"Nightmares, night, d-darkness" Luna said, as she suddenly fell weak of exhaustion.
Tia gasped, as she ran out of Luna's Chambers and flew towards the guards tower.
"Guards?!" Tia gasped for air as she slowed down. "Lu-Luna''s hurt!" She told them as she flew back to Luna's Chamber with the guards close behind.

So here's the second chapter, I hope it's better than the first one, remember, comments and advice are always appreciated
Luna's strength was quickly dying, it felt as though she had power of the world one moment,
Luna suddenly heard the sounds of hooves running down the castle halls, towards her Chambers.
"Tia?" Luna whispered, trying her best to not sound weak, but it was completely useless at this point.
"Luna?!" Celestia called as she ran into the room with four guards following behind.
"Luna...!?" Are you alright?!" She asked, sounding much more serious than normal.
Luna's only answer was a very short, quiet "Nope" Tia tried to think about what to do, then, she got an idea.
"Guards." You all must hurry to the Crystal Empire, and find Cadence and Shining Armor!"
"We will" said a blue, pegasus stallion.
"You four must hurry, I don't know how long my sister will last without help"
"My Dear Luna?" Please hold on" Was all Tia could say before Teleporting to PonyVille.
Slipping Chances
Celestia hurried to PonyVille as quickly as she could. As soon as she got there, she galloped to the PonyVille Library, where a certain purple Alicorn lived.
Taking no time to knock at the door, she opened it, and ran inside.
"Twilight?!" Said Celestia, while bending down to catch her breath.
"Celestia?!" Twilight abandoned the book she was reading and ran over to the Sun Princess and looked at her concerned.
"I-need you to get all of your friends and bring them here, immediately!"
"Yes Celestia" Twilight said as she disappeared in a single flash of magenta coloured light.
Twilight galloped to to Fluttershy's Cottage, and ran inside.
"Fluttershy?!" Twilight yelled,sounding tired from running.
"Twilight?" Called a quiet, sweet sounding voice, from upstairs. "Fluttershy - I need you to come with me!" The Princess needs us immediately!"
"Oh, my?" Said the butter yellow Pegasus.
"Well lets go!" Called twilight as she pulled Fluttershy out of the house.
"When the both of them got to town hall, both Twilight and Fluttershy stopped running.
"Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.
"Yes Twilight?"
This might feel a bit, funny, but here we go!" Before Fluttershy could open her mouth to form a response, she disappeared from where she was standing.
Both Twilight, Applejack, and Fluttershy began running towards Carousel Boutique, where Rarity lived.
"Rarity?" Applejack called as she ran inside.
"Who is it?' Called a familiar voice from upstairs.
"Rarity, its Twilight. Said the purple Alicorn.
"Oh, my, said Rarity as she came downstairs, levitating a blue roll of fabric. "What do you need?" She asked.
"Twilight needs us all to go to Canterlot!" Luna is in trouble!" Said Applejack.
"Well in that case, I'll certainly come. Rarity said as she quickly put away her fabric.
"Alright, now let's go find Rainbow Dash". Twilight said as she began running outside, only to be ran into by a familiar cyan Pegasus.
"Ouch, Twilight got up and steadied herself.
"Rainbow?!" We were just lookin for ya" Applejack said as Rainbow got up.
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Lets find Pinkie Pie!" The cyan Pegasus said before zooming off towards SugarCube Corner.
"Lets follow her!" Twilight said as the rest of the gang followed behind.
"Hey guys?"
"Pinkie?" You made me crash!"
"Oops, sorry..." Said the pink Earth Pony.
"Pinkie Pie?" You need to come with us to Canterlot!' Luna is sick!" Twilight said.
"On no!" Pinkie said. "Well now that everypony is here." Twilight paused. "Lets go save Luna!"

"You two?!" Called a blue Pegasus stallion, "We're supposed to be hurrying to the Empire, not tell jokes!"
"I can see the Empire from here, now hurry!" "Flap those wings!" The dark blue Guard said, flying as fast as he could.
As soon as the three guards landed, they saw Shining Armor looking at them.
"Oh hello Royal Guards, need something?" Shining asked.
"You must hurry, the one Guard said.
"Did you need something?" The blue Royal Guard looked up to see Cadence smiling, in front of them.
"Yes Cadence, Celestia is dire need of your assistance, Luna is hurt.. The Guard said as he bowed once again.
"Well, where is she now?" Cadence asked, as her smile faded.
She is in Canterlot with Luna, keeping her company.
"Shining?' Lets go." Cadence said before opening her wings,, hovering above the four ponies.
"Of course, Shining said, before disappearing in a flash of blue light.
"Royal Guards?" Cadence asked. "Yes?" The blue Guard answered.
"Hold on!"
Suddenly, they were with Shining Armor in Canterlot.
"Follow us, said the three Guards. Before running off, only to be followed by Cadence and Shining.
"Lets go save Luna...." Said Cadence...
"Follow us!" The blue Pegasus guard said as he galloped to the Chamber Luna was currently in.
"Of course, Cadence said as she and Shining Armor followed close behind.
"Celestia?!" Cadence called as she ran into a Chamber and looked around frantically.
"Cadence?" asked the White Royal Guard.
As soon as they reached the door, all five ponies ran inside.
The Guards stopped to bow, but noticed that Celestia wasn't paying any attention at the moment.
"Celestia?!" Cadence cried as she ran up towards her aunt.
Celestia looked up to see an extremely worried Alicorn in front of her.
"Celestia managed to force a small smile.
"Thank you all for coming, she said, in a tone she has never used.
"Where is she?" asked Cadence
".........Tia............? " Said a weak, raspy voice.....
"Luna!!!!!?":
Luna woke up, feeling quite strange, and happy, for some reason.
"Ah, she said, looking at her new body, an evil grin spreading across her face.
"Now that I'm free again, haha, I can destroy YOU ALL!!!!" BECAUSE I AM, NIGHTMARE MOON!!!" Hahahahahahah!"
Nightmare Moon spread her wings, smiling, her sharp,fanged teeth visible.
Meanwhile, Celestia had told Twilight and her friends to get the ponies of Equestria to a save place...
Celestia was walking through the halls of the upper floor in Canterlot Castle, before seeing a dark blue mist enter the room... Immediately knowing what and who it was, she ran as fast as she could, jumping out an open window, quickly yelling to some nearby Guards to find Princess Twilight.
"There you are, you... You ugly little foal..... You will bow to me forever!!!" Hahahahahahah!!!"" Nightmare yelled, the mist restructing her body...
"Leave PonyVille alone, Luna please!" Celestia said, flying away from Canterlot, trying her best to avoid her possesed sister..
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING?!" Nightmare yelled, opening her wings, and flying after the white Alicorn.
"No one will notice me when I finish them off if I transform into smoke. Nightmare's body was soon engulfed in blue smoke, as she became one with it. "Now it's time for my revenge, you silly little pathetic creatures, I will rule over you now, hahah!" And with that, she lit her horn, deciding to posses the remaining Guards.... Soon, the Guards' coats began turning deep gray-purple in colour, their pupils turning into slits, just like the Nightmare that possed them..." "Now, that that is over, I command you to track down Princess Celestia, and all the filthy ponies of Equestria!"
The Tunnel To Safety
As soon as Princess Celestia had told Twilight and her friends to get everypony in PonyVille to safety, they did what was asked of them.. Spending over an hour trying to convince that Nightmare Moon was back, but eventually, Applejack managed to convince the ponies that she was in fact coming. "
Nice work AJ." Rainbow said, giving her Earth Pony friend a high-hoof, before scanning the area for any other ponies that could still be hiding in their homes. "I think we've got em' all." Rainbow said, confidently.
"Alright, good work everypony." Twilight said, turning her attention to the crowded mob of ponies all waiting anxiously to get a move on towards some safety." "Alright everypony, please calm down, don't panic, calm down please?" Twilight asked, the group of ponies immediately began listening."
"Hehehe, it's only because she has those wings is why everypony is listening to her, hehe". Rainbow said, trying to hold back a small laugh but failing, before getting a rather annoyed look from Twilight."
"Now, I want everypony to separate into groups of ten or twelve.... Then, I'd like you all to choose a group leader, you may choose from either, Me, Rainbow Dash , Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Or Fluttershy." Twilight said, seeing the ponies immediately forming groups.
Once everypony had formed into their groups, Twilight decided the safest place to go would be the Diamond Dogs' tunnels... Most ponies didn't agree with the idea, but they all finally decided even though it was dirty, it was the safest place by far for now.
"But Twilight?!" How ever shall we be able to convince the Diamond Dogs' to let us in their tunnels?!" Rarity asked, running up to her friend in confusion.
"Maybe you could use your gem finding spell, we could pay them to let us in." Twilight said, pointing her hoof in every which way.
"Oh... But those gems are so precious-" Rarity was then cut off by Twilight waving her hoof in front her Rarity's face, shocking her.
"No buts!" Rarity, would you rather be safe or possibly be killed while trying to save your "precious gems"? Twilight asked, giving her friend two tough choices to make.
"Safe..." Rarity sighed, horn lighting up, she began to get the other Unicorns of her group to find gems to pay for the safety.
It was a half an hour later, and Twilight finally stopped walking. "Alright everypony, where here." Twilight said, spreading her wings and ruffling them a bit, before folding them up neatly once again.
"Who goes there!' Who dares try entering our caves!" Said a raspy, low sounding voice.
"Hello, Diamond Dogs". Twilight said calmly, as three of the Dogs crawled their way out of their caves.
"You!!" Said the one Diamond dog, backing off slightly, before being pushed forwards again by the what looked to be the leader.
"What do you want here!" You have no right to enter our sacred caves!!" The leader Dog answered angrily.
"I've come to prepare you about an coming disaster, our homes, will all be destroyed in this disaster.."
"Oooooh, an Alicorn..." The small Dog said, drooling.."
Twilight then looked uneasily at the other two Diamond Dogs, before continuing to speak. "And I've come to ask you very kindly if the ponies of PonyVille could stay in your caves for shelter?" Twilight asked nervously.
"Never!!!" Not unless you have something to pay us with!"
Rarity then handed twilight a crate full of freshly found gems. "
"Alright, deal done." Said the leader of the Diamond Dogs, shaking paws with Twilight Sparkle.
"You may all stay here, but when the disaster is over, you must promise you'll leave?" The second in command asked nervously.
"Yes, Diamond Dogs, we will leave, Thank you." Twilight answered, quite happily, before taking her overstuffed saddlebag off her back, and opening it up, revealing a few sleeping bags, for others, just in case.
Twilight's mind suddenly focused to Celestia.... "Oh Celestia, I hope your alright....." Was all she could say, before a small smile formed on her face... I have to go." Twilight said, Making her friend Rainbow Dash look ya her confused.
"Go, where?" Rainbow asked, tilting her head sideways like a begging dog.
"I have to go help Celestia, you stay here, with the others, they'll need your quick wits and courage." Twilight said, packing her saddlebag up once more, before lifting off the ground uneasily.
"But Twilig-!" Rainbow was cut off by her friend.
"No, Rainbow, I'm going." Twilight answered, confidently. "And I'm willing to risk my like to help them!" Twilight said, and with that, she flew out of a hole leading to the surface, and flew off.
Twilight had just left the safely of the tunnels, and was now heading towards Canterlot, at least she thought she was heading that way....
"Ugh, the clouds, there so thick, I almost can't see a thing" twilight muttered to herself unhappily, before continuing her journey towards the Castle. "Hmmm, I wonder, Twilight said, her horn aglow. "I wonder if I could use a simple spell to clear a path out of the clouds, allowing me to see clearly?...." Twilight said, landing on a rock splitting through the cloudline. "Here goes nothing..." Twilight said to herself, her horn glowing brighter than usual, as she preformed the somewhat easy spell. "Ah, here we go!" Twilight said happily, as the clouds began to clear their way for Twilight. "Perfect, now, I can't waste anymore time, I have to go help Celestia!" Twilight flew swiftly through the clouds, flying faster and better than ever before, she was determined to help, and nothing could stop her now. "Woah!!!" Twilight was suddenly caught off guard as a beam of gold magic shot past her, clipping her wing slightly, causing her to fumble slightly in the air. "Oh no!" Twilight gasped, regaining control of her flight, she dove towards the source of the magical energy. Another blast of Magic soon shot past her again, but it was dark blue... "Nightmare moon....." Twilight said, gasping slightly, before preparing a spell of her own, in case. "Celestia!!!????" Twilight yelled, hoping to here the voice of her beloved previous teacher call out to her.
"Twilight Sparkle!!!!" Called a familiar voice, it was Celestia's voice. "What are you doing here, I told you to stay with your friends!!!" Celestia yelled slightly angrilly.
"I know that, Celestia, but I couldn't just sit here, I had to help, I needed to!!" Twilight yelled, following the source of Celestia's voice, she eventually spotted Celestia flying near her.
"Twilight, why didn't you listen to me?" Celestia asked calmly, but angrilly.
"I needed to help, I couldn't just sit there, Nightmare moon is stronger than you think!!" Twilight yelled, looking at Celestia with a determined face.
"And how would you know th--!" Ahh!!" Celestia was caught off guard, before getting shot with a blast of Dark blue magic.
"Celestia!!" Twilight yelled frantically, before diving in front of the Sun Princess, before seeing a shadow of a tall Alicorn move throughout the clouds towards her.
"Well, well, well, it seems that another has come to join our wonderful fight, haven't they..." Haha!!" Nightmare moons' body came out of the clouds, revealing herself.
"Stay out of this, Twilight Sparkle!!" Nightmare moon spat angrilly.
"Never!!" Luna, stop this, Celestia's been though this more than enough times!!!" She doesn't need it to happen again, she loves you!!!!!" Twilight yelled desperately, trying her best to put some thought into Nightmare Moons' head, but failed.
"Hahahahahahah!!" She never cared about me!!" She treated me like a little pet!!" And now you you will serve under MY CONTROL!!!" NightmareMoon yelled furiously, her horn aglow, she prepared a spell, aiming right for Twilight.
"Go ahead!!" Shoot me!" If you want to get to Celesita, you'll have to go through me first!!!" Twilight yelled, looking angrier than ever before, she prepared a spell of her own.
"It seems your going to put up a fight... Now aren't you?!!!" Nightmare said, laughing loudly, echoing throughout the foggy skies.
"That's right!!" Come on!" If you want to get to her, get through me first!!!" Twilght yelled once again, her eyes a deeper purple than normal. "Come on!!!!"
"Alright, I'll come, hahahahahahah!!" Nightmare Moon laughed evily, before aiming her horn right at Twilight's chest... But the purple Alicorn didn't budge, she stayed directly in front of Celestia, horn aglow.
"If you want it, come and get it!!!" Nightmare moon yelled, firing a powerful blast at Twilight, hitting her directly in the spot her aimed for, her chest....
As Twilight was hit by the blast, she felt her body go limp, as energy surged throughout her body, making her fall limply towards the ground below....
"TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!" Celestia yelled painfully. Before diving directly after her former student.... But it was too late, Twilight had hit the ground.....
The Fight Rages On
Twilight woke to the sounds of rain hitting the dark green grass, as she lifted her head to take in her surroundings, but the thick, misty fog stopped her from doing so. "Ugh...... Where am I?..." Twilight asked, to nopony in particular.
Back above the thick trees, Nightmare Moon was circling Celestia, who had a look of shock upon her face.
"Twilight?...." Celestia said... Unable to form words, as she just witnessed her beloved former student Twilight Sparkle, get shot, and fall to her almost certain death....
"Hahahahahahah!!!" Are you shocked!!" Haha!" Nightmare moon laughed loudly, echoing throughout the land.
"How dare you..... How dare you!" Celestia's face changed from shocked to angry.
"Ooooh, someponies angry!" Nightmare yelled, half laughing.
"Take this!!!!" Celestia yelled, firing a blast of golden magic straight for Nightmare Moon.
"Gah!!!" Nightmare yelled, the magic slicing through her swirling, indigo blue mane.
"You hurt my beloved student, Twilight Sparkle, and now you shall pay for you actions!!!" Celestia screamed, gritting her teeth angrily.
"Well then, prove your strength to me, and we will see who will rule Equestria from this night forth!!" Hahaha!" Nightmare said, grinning evilly.
"Take THIS!!!!" Celestia yelled, shooting a thick beam of gold light at the Nightmare that stood before her.
"Nice try, you little FOAL!!!" Nightmare retorted, as her horn began to glow extremely bright. "It's time to end you, forever!!!!!!!" Hahahahahahah!!!!!!" Her horn continued getting brighter, and brighter, until it flashed black. "Nightmare Moon was straining to keep powering the spell, but she had to continue.
Once she was done, Nightmare smiled evilly, before struggling to contain the spell, as she aimed for Celestia's left wing, and fired.
"Gahhhhh!!!!" Celestia was caught off guard as she was pulled from her flight, and fell towards the ground, a loud thunk as she hit the grass below.
"Hahahahahahahahhahahahaha!!!" I shall now rule, all of Equestria!!!!!""" Hahaha!!!" Nightmare yelled, as she left Celestia behind, and flew off towards Canterlot Castle.
Celestia could feel the anger within her, the angry ready to explode, she had kept calm long enough, she needed to stop her sister, she needed to, she had no choice.....
"You, you where the sister.... I loved so dear much, and now.... Now, your a nightmare, your not Luna!" Your the nightmare who possessed my dear sister!!" And your going to let her go!!!" Celestia was now furious, ready to explode.
"And I'm going to, you ARE going to loose, my sister will be free from your wrath, you will die fail!!!!" Celestia's normally calm voice was now booming throughout the thick fog.
"Oh, hahahahahahah!" And what chance do you have of beating me?!!!" Nightmare asked, as if the answer was obvious
"Agh!!!" Celestia's head was throbbing with anger. "You hurt Twilight!!!!" And hurting my Faithful Student is the LAST thing you'd ever want to do!!!" You will fail!!!!!" Celestia boomed, her horn glowing extreamly bright, as if the suns' power was directly inside it.
Celestia had had enough, her anger now surging throughout her body, as she aimed directly for Nightmare Moon, as she starred intently into her nightmarish eyes, who was starring back, her own eyes beaming with hatred and anger.
Celestia was done, her anger had become too much for Celestia, and it unleashed itself out towards everything in its path, shocking both Nightmare and Celestia herself, making the gloomy sky so bright, neither was able to see anything.
"Gah!!!" Celestia's anger continues unleashing itself, until she heard a loud "agh!!!" Near her, signalling that Nightmare had been hit with her magic, she smiled slightly, her anger slowly cooling, until she was able to see once again.
"Why you little FOAL!!!!" Nightmares eyes had turned black, completely black, as she suddenly had Celestia's Royal Guards floating next to her.
"Nightmare!!!!" Enough!!! Celestia commanded, but she didn't listen.
"Get her!!!!" Nightmare commanded her guards, smiling as they where sent directly towards the Sun Princess, hitting her from every direction.
"GAH!!!" Celestia cried, as she took a hard blow to the side, making her collapse...
"Wha-.....?" Celestia said. Seeing a black, bat-winged Guard pick her up, before being thrown into a cage.
"Wha- wha- why didn't... You kill me?"... Celestia asked, weakly, falling to her side.
"Ooooh, Celestia, it'd be Soo boring not being able to torture you, if you where dead, now, wouldn't it, Hahahaha..." Nightmare answered, before leaving...
"And now, the Sun, will never been seen, again." Nightmare spat, walking away regally.
Both Twilight and Fluttershy soon reappeared in Sweet Apple Acres, and they immediately began running to find Applejack.
"Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight, who looked tired from running once again.
"Yes Twilight?"
"Go look in the barn for Applejack, if you see Big Macintosh, ask him if he knows where AJ is, okay?"
"Okay, said Fluttershy, as she flapped her wings and took off towards the barn.
Twilight then decided to see if Applejack was in their house. So she flapped her Alicorn wings, and unsteadily made her way to the house.
As soon as Twilight reached the door, she opened it without knocking, and ran inside.
"Oh hey there Twilight, ya need something?" She turned around to see Applejack behind her with a basket of apples on her back.
"Yes!" Twilight responded, almost yelling.
"Uh Twi?" Why ya yellin?" AJ asked. "No time for questions!"
Suddenly, both Twilight and Applejack both appeared right next to the yellow Pegasus, who was taking to Big Macintosh.
"Fluttershy?!" Come on?!" And then Fluttershy disappeared along with Twilight and Applejack. Leaving a confused Big Mac to figure out what just happened.
They reappeared in Town Hall, and Twilight was hovering above the two friends.
"Everypony?" Lets go get Rarity.
Twilight then started flying towards Carousel Boutique.
Luna's Signs
In Canterlot... A certain deep blue pony had woken up from her days slumber.
"Tia?" The blue pony called out, hoping for an answer from her beloved sister, Celestia.
"Oh my... Luna exclaimed, as she opened her wings and flew out her open window.
"Oh Luna, still a filly, aren't you.." Celestia said with a slight laugh. Celestia soon found Luna on the balcony, happily raising the moon, but something was off, Celestia noticed Luna was using more magic
"Luna?" Tia called, as she glided over to her sister.
"Yes, Tia?" "Are you sure your alright?"
"Well..... Yes I'm fine, but-.." Luna was cut off by Celestia.
"But what?" She asked, still speaking calmly.
"Well, lately,I've been having to use more and more energy to raise the moon each night, and I have a feeling
"Luna's voice was growing tired, as she yawned as she spoke.
"Luna, you sound tired, you should sleep some more" Tia said as she levitated Luna, And took her to her Chambers.
Just after Tia had taken her to her Chambers, she heard Luna's voice call for her.
"Yes Luna?" She asked, as she turned around back towards Luna's room.
"I- do you think I could be magically sick?" Luna asked her, as she climbed into her soft bed.
"Luna, no time for questions now, you must rest, sleep well, dear sister." Tia said as she softly closed Luna's chamber doors,

"Tia.....?" Luna struggled to talk, and even breathe.
Her mane wasn't the same colour as it was before, it was still wavy, but it had turned a deeper blue. Which puzzled her.
Suddenly, Luna heard the sounds of several ponies running down the halls of the Castle, heading towards her.
She soon saw Celestia, Cadence, Twilight, RainbowDash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie,AppleJack, and the Royal Guards enter her room.
"Luna?!" What in Equestria happened to you?!" Tia said as she ran up to Luna, and lifted her head....
"I, I don't know..." She said, bowing her head to face Luna, who was looking at her weakly.
"Luna, please be still, I'm doing something.." She said as she lit her horn, and began moving her head back and forth.
"Celestia, what are you doing?" Asked Pinkie Pie, who had her head tilted sideways like a begging dog.
"She's scanning Luna, Pinkie." Twilight said as she paced around the room, thinking..... Then she looked toward Celestia.... And listened
"Nightmare Moon......" Was all that could be heard throughout the room, before watching Tia fall to her stomach. "No" she said...... And then there was only quiet, then nothing....
As Luna lay in her bed, she suddenly felt a shiver run down her spine, and she instantly knew what was beginning to happen.......
"No... No... Nooo!" Luna yelled with all her remaining strength, and but suddenly.. She could move no longer... She was stuck..... The transformation had begun....!
Luna's eyes shot open, revealing two eyes with catlike slits.
Luna was suddenly engulfed in a black magical force that lifted her upright in the air.
Help, me, Tia, help me!!!!???" Luna yelled, her voice returning to her vocal cords.
"Luna!!!" Celestia only watched from the corner of the room as she witnessed her beloved sister transforming into the nightmare she once was 1000 years before.....
Luna could no longer control herself, as a sudden jolt in her body went through her.
"She felt like her body was being ripped apart, she felt her body transforming, her legs and neck growing longer.
