Nothing is the same, so many dead, so many are suffering. -cries- All I wanted was to live a normal life, none of this war bullshit! This just ruined everything and I want it all back, I want my life back, my friends, family, loved ones and my brother...Why did he have to go! Doesn’t he care for me, he said he’d always be there for me when I needed him the most but he lied. It was all a lie! A lie! This entry was found next to a pegasus carcass along with other two ponies, both pegasus. One a stallion and one a foal. Their bodies were beyond recognition due to massive bites and burns, subjects. The old ponies were holding their hooves but it seemed like the writer did this before taking her last breath. Not many are sure on why this war started, many believe it started in Ponyville but even now it does not matter... Only thing that matters is surviving, everypony for themselves during these times... Chapter 1 The Beginning It was a pretty nice day, a few clouds here and there and the wind felt nice. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I were in Sweet Apple Acres looking for Scootaloo’s clubhouse. Since it was on a private part of the farm it was taking us a while to find it. I was surprised by how few trees were here, like 5 or 7 in random areas of this place. Scootaloo was leading the pack while I stayed closed to Fluttershy, we both eyed each other a few times and smiled. “You guys excited as I am?” asked Scootaloo. I nodded my head, “You bet, where is this place anyway?” I asked. “Not too far now.” she replied, “Just keep following me.” “I wonder what this occasion is about.” asked Fluttershy. I shrugged, “Could be a party for all we know. Wonder if Pinkie will be there since it could a party.” “I think we’d know if it was a party,” said Fluttershy, “Wouldn’t there be loud music and something exploding in the back?” I gave her a look and smiled, “Fair point.” I nudged her nose and chuckled as she blushed and hid in her mane. “Oh give me a break.” whined Scootaloo. We laughed as Scootaloo starting to gag and stick her hoof into her mouth. I’m sure later on she’ll find a pony and do the same things we’re doing now. Wonder when that day will come, just hope it isn’t some carefree filly that acts out. I hate those type of ponies and they annoy everypony so much I can’t stand it. Why do they even do that anyway? Is there a reason or are they just plain dumb? “Hey we’re close!” shouted Scootaloo, “Come on!” She started running and and we picked up the pace, few seconds later she suddenly stopped which caught me off guard and I flopped to my face. I could hear them both giggling behind me as I got up and wiped my face. Luckily the grass made it a soft land but now I have grass blood all over my face. I also had a mouth full of dirt and grass, it didn’t taste too well and I quickly spit it out. “You ok?” asked Scootaloo, still giggling. “Yeah.” I replied, “The ground tastes weird.” “Maybe you should watch your step.” laughed Fluttershy. I stuck my tongue out at them and wiped off the remaining crud off my face. Once I was finished I turned around to see a treehouse in the middle of this patch land. There were no apple trees in sight for a few yards but the house was pretty well made. It had a neat looking stairway that would drop down and pull up while you were inside. I’ve never really seen a treehouse in my whole life so I was having a little childhood moment while the others walked over to the stairs. They both stopped and turned to me, “You ok?” asked Fluttershy, “Yeah you didn’t hit your head again did you?” questioned Scootaloo. I shook my head, “I just never seen a treehouse before so i’m kinda having a moment here...” I smiled in awe. Fluttershy walked over to me and hugged me tightly, “It’s more amazing inside.” she said calmly, “Come and see for yourself.” I turned red and nodded my head, “S-sure...” I said quietly before being taken in. Inside I was even more amazed by the way it looked, it looked small outside but inside was so much more bigger. You could fit a family of 10 or more in here and still have room for them to not be crowded. I felt a little kid again exploring the things you could miss so easily that are shown in plain sight. Once I had my moment Fluttershy brought me over to a row of chairs where Applejack and Rarity were at. We took our seats and started up a chat with them. “Howdy Cerulean and Fluttershy.” greeted Applejack, “How yall doing?” she asked. “Good day you two.” greeted Rarity, “I hope you’re doing alright.” she said. We nodded our heads, “We’re doing fine.” I said, “Yeah nothing too exciting really.” said Fluttershy. Applejack chuckled, “Coming from you two I doubt that.” she said. “Applejack!” snapped Rarity, “You must respect one’s personal life.” she said firmly. “Oh lighten up miss prissy pants.” replied Applejack, “Just teasing yall.” I laughed, “We’re doing pretty well.” I said happily, “Didn’t think this would happen to be honest.” “What do you mean?” asked Rarity. “Well you know how we-” Scootaloo barged in and interrupted Fluttershy, “Hey, anypony seen Applebloom and Sweetie Belle?” she asked frantically. We shook our heads, “Why are we here again?” asked Rarity. “It’s a surprise.” replied Scootaloo, “Ugh! Where are they?!” she complained. The door suddenly flew open and walked in were two fillies, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, “There ya are.” said Applebloom, “We’ve been looking all over for you.” complained Sweetie Belle. “I should say the same for you two.” argued Scootaloo, “Lets get this started.” she said. The three put on their capes they wore for their crusader meetings and walked over to a stand that stood in front of the chairs. They walked boldly with their heads high up and their eyes closed but Sweetie Belle ended up smacking into a wall and fell back. Applebloom and Scootaloo seemed unamused and told her to stop fooling around. Blushing with embarrassment Sweetie Belle got up, dusted herself and joined her crusader friends. Applebloom cleared her throat and spoke, “Thank you for coming on short notice.” she said, “Today we brought yall here to celebrate for an amazing achievement we made.” she smiled, “Bab Seed, ma cousin, has been able to get our business out into the public and we’ve also been receiving letters telling us about how many new members join and how more crusader places are opening up. This is a huge success and we brought you all here to have a party. Food and drinks will be in shortly, have fun!” she exited the stand and brought in a cart of food, drinks and a stereo and the party started. “Huh so that's what this is all about.” said Applejack, “Oh what the hay, lets party!” She got off her chair and started dancing like no tomorrow, Rarity joined her and they both danced while the foals watched and made jokes. As for Fluttershy and I we just hanged back and ate while the others had fun. We’re not much for dancing but we have fun talking to each other anyway. A few hour passed by and the sun was starting set. That was our signal to leave since we had to clean our animals today, they can get pretty smelly if you don’t wash them for 3 months. “You ready to go?” asked Fluttershy. I nodded my head, “Yeah, i’ll just let Scoo-...” something caught my attention, “What’s that?” I looked out the window and saw a strange creature flying around, it was pretty big but I couldn’t make it out. The sun was behind it so it just looked like a flying shadow but it flew in circles and nothing more. I watched it carefully, wondering what is doing then suddenly, it left in a hurry. Just as it left something started coming out of the trees from where the creature hovered over. My eyes widened as I realized our home was there and what was rising from it. “What is it?” asked Fluttershy. I quickly turned to her, “We got smoke coming from our house.” I said in a serious tone. Her eyes widen, “The animals...We gotta go now!” she said. I nodded my head and we made our way to the door but were stopped by Applejack and others, “Wow there sugarcube.” she said, “Where ya two going in such a hurry? I understand you two-” I pushed her aside and opened the door, “We got fire coming from our home!” “What!?” screamed everypony. Fluttershy and I quickly flew out and made our way to our home. As we got closer a black cloud began to surround us, it was getting hot and the air suddenly felt like it wasn’t there. By the time we got to our home there was fire everywhere and animals running in all directions. I watched in horror as everything around us was being burnt to crisp. Soon a rush of anger and fear came to me but I ignored and turned to Fluttershy. “You stay here while I go check if they all made it out.” I ordered. She nodded her head and I flew inside, inside the whole place was filled with smoke and flames. I quickly checked every rabbit, mouse and bird cages and holes and luckily they were all empty. Once I was sure no animal was inside I made my way for the door but stopped as it collapsed in front of me, taking away my only escape from this burning house. Quickly losing my breath I ran upstairs checked the rooms to see if I could find a window or something to let me out. While checking the rooms I decided to quickly grabbed Fluttershy and Scootaloo’s satchels including mine and filled them with stuff we held dearly. For Scootaloo, the badge Rainbow Dash gave her from the Wonderbolt Academy and a picture. For Fluttershy, a picture book, a letter and a picture. For me the two letters I wrote for Fluttershy and a picture. The pictures I took had all three of us sitting together and smiling. Once I grabbed everything I turned around and noticed the door quickly being covered in flames. Cursing at myself I looked around and saw a window that led to the outside, meaning my way out of this burning house. I rushed over to it and pushed it but was shocked when it didn’t budge but made a whining sound letting you know it was jammed. Running out of time and air I took a few steps back, readied my wings, and jetted towards the window. The window shattered as I smashed through and I wasn’t a moment too soon either. When I turned around I watched my house collapsed to the ground and burn to ash. Tears soon began to blur my vision but then I felt light headed and plummeted to the ground. Dazed and disoriented I walked around until I stumbled to Fluttershy and the others. They didn’t noticed I was there until I coughed and tried to catch my breath. The second they heard me Fluttershy and Scootaloo quickly rushed to me and held me tightly. I groaned in pain and they quickly pulled away, when I looked up I noticed blood and glass was smeared over them. They screamed in horror as they saw the shape I was in, I had burns, glass, ash and blood all over me. I was still dizzy and sat down quickly and tried to catch my breath. I breathed in too much smoke into my lungs and I felt like I could pass out in any moment. “Somepony do something!” screamed Fluttershy. “Move aside.” ordered Rarity, “I know a spell that heal him but it won’t heal him completely.” she said sadly. She used a heal spell on me that made some of the burns go away and the smoke clear up too. I was able to stand again and breath normally but the glass was still cutting into my body. Luckily Applejack and to the others removed the glass shards off me and did their best not to make it worse. Once they finished I turned around to watch the last bit of our house burn away. Only the roof was left and it was quickly giving way to the fire. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I cried quietly at the fact we lost our home. We had so many good memories and just like that, it’s all gone but not all of it. Remembering the satchels I gave them their satchels and they smiled as they took out what was inside them. They held me tightly once more, still crying but I held them closely. I know this is hard but at least we have something remember the house by. We held each other for what seemed like hours, I didn’t let them go until they stopped crying. After a few minutes they pulled away from and watched the remains of our house burn. Seconds later I realized the fire was making its way to Ponyville and my heart began pounding. If we don’t get there in time they won’t be able to stop it. I turned to the others, “We gotta warn Ponyville before it's too late.” I said. Everypony’s eyes widened as they realized where the fire was heading, “Shoot we’re like miles away!” said Applejack. I quickly started running, “Come on!” I shouted, “We can’t let the same thing happen to them!” I was already ahead of everypony but I didn’t slow down for them, I can’t slow down or Ponyville is history. My body screamed in pain but I ignored it and used the pain to make me run faster. I pushed myself faster and faster, not caring what my body says but suddenly I tripped and fell face first to the ground. I wasted no time in getting up and I was back running again but I stopped again and dropped to my knees. My eyes were in disbelief, I thought we could make it... In front of me was Ponyville, covered in flames, ponies everywhere ran and screamed. They begged for help and others ran while burning alive. I dropped my head in horror, “We were too late...” Chapter 2 Quick To BlameChapter 2 Quick To Blame “We were too late.” I lifted my head and watched Ponyville slowly burn to the ground, “I wasn’t fast enough...” I watched as ponies ran in terror as houses and buildings fell down and topple over a few. They screamed and begged for help but nopony came to their aid. Even the ones who were savable were left to die. It was all too much for me and my mind began to race and go wild. Too much was happening and I wanted to all stop and go back to normal but it didn’t. Chaos continued and didn’t stop or let up, more and more ponies and houses were being burned but nothing was being done about it. Just as I was about to lose it I felt something grab me and take me away. I turned around saw Fluttershy and Scootaloo both holding me with frantic hooves. Seeing how scared they were are how they were searching for the confidence I always give them I pulled myself together and stood up. I held them both closely for a moment before letting them and turning back to burning village. “We gotta stop this fire.” I said looking more confident now. “But how can we put out all of Ponyville?” asked Fluttershy. I looked up and saw a large number of clouds above Ponyville, “With clouds.” I said with a smirk. They stared at me with confusion, “Clouds?” repeated Scootaloo. I nodded my head, “Stay here, don’t get hurt ok.” “But you’re still hurt...” said Fluttershy. I shook my head, “I can still fly.” I quickly took the sky and went into the center of chaos, there I cleared my throat and told everypony to stop and listen. A few did at first but when I started yelling they all stopped and listened. I’m not too used to talking in a large groups, especially in a situation like this. “EVERYPONY GRAB A CLOUD AND COMBINE THEM INTO ONE GIANT SUPER RAIN CLOUD!” I ordered. Everypony were puzzled on my command but did what I said and started grabbing clouds and combining them. I assisted a few but my injuries limited me on helping. I could barely keep myself airborne let alone push one but I just kept pushing myself. After I grabbed my seventh cloud everything began to blur and I started to feel weightless until something jerked me back to reality. I looked up and saw Rainbow and Cakeran both holding my arms up, keeping me from falling. “Cerulean what’s wrong with you!” questioned Rainbow in shock. “Yeah you just fainted for a second.” added Cakeran. I shook my head and gathered my bearings, “I’m fine don’t worry...” They both looked into my eyes for a second but nodded their heads and placed me on solid ground, “Just don’t overdo it.” pleaded Rainbow before going back to the clouds.. I stayed back for a few seconds and let my strength come back, I took in a few deep breaths before I was able to to stand firmly again. My body was worn out from the sprinting and still hurt internally from the fire but I can’t let this happen to Ponyville. Once I knew I was ready, I stuck out my wings and took off. By the time I was up the cloud was ready but everypony was still confused on what to do. They all turned to me looking for an answer but I was more irritated at their stupidity. “MAKE IT RAIN IDIOTS!” I shouted angrily. They didn’t take my tone too well but did was I said and started stomping at the cloud. The cloud slowly darkened and began to thunder, soon enough rain began to pour down on the burning village. Since the cloud was incredibly large it required a lot of strength to make water come out of it. Even with all our combined strength we were only getting a little rain but we just kept on stomping without stopping. Every stomp I felt a jolt of pain run through my whole body but I didn’t stop. For all I know I might’ve broken my legs or worse. It took some time but the fire began to die and everything began to settle, once the last flame was washed down we stopped and flew down. I practically plummeted to the ground breathing heavily but happy that we stopped the fire. Out of nowhere everypony began to argue on why they weren’t warned about this fire. They said it came from the forest and they began to question why the forest ponies didn’t come. Seconds later I heard a frantic scream of two mares and I quickly sprang up and appeared before them and the angry ponies. “You don’t hurt them...” I said darkly. “Why didn’t you tell us about this!?” demanded the angry pony. “We didn’t know because we were at a party!” I argued, “We didn’t notice it till we were leaving.” “WHY DIDN’T YOU NOTICE IT SOONER!?” shouted the pony. “BECAUSE WE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS-” I suddenly dropped to the ground and vomited out blood. Everyone around me gasped and backed away but Fluttershy and Scootaloo didn’t. They came to my aid and laid me down gently. They both turned angrily toward the crowd of now frightened ponies and glared at them all with tears running down their faces. “CERULEAN JUST SAVED YOU!” shouted Scootaloo. “THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS SAY THANKS OR SOMETHING!” demanded Fluttershy. I’ve never seen them both stand up for me, I laid there, blood trailing down my from my lips and shocked at what i’m seeing. Fluttershy, the mare i’ve always been protecting and standing up for is doing exact same for me and Scootaloo. The foal Fluttershy and I adopted not too long ago is doing this same. I didn’t know how to react to this but I just stared at them, waiting for what’s about to happen next at this moment. It was silent and everypony stared at Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I. They didn’t say anything but a few still held a angry look on them. A few seconds later they began to break apart and go assess the damage. As they walked past us a few glared but others thanked and offered help for me but I told them to just mind their own business. I was mad at the fact they accused us of this but how could we know anyway? We were gone at a party for a celebration, since when did we become the patrol guards?! Once everypony was gone it was just me, Fluttershy, Scootaloo and our friends. They all looked concerned and sad that we were accused of all this. Fluttershy and Scootaloo helped me up and steadied me. Everything in me burned and my heart pounded furiously while I steadied my breathing. “Will somepony help my dad!” demanded Scootaloo. “Twilight why aren’t you doing anything?!” questioned Fluttershy franticly. “I can’t help him!” shouted back Twilight, “I can’t heal internal wounds, i’m not that skilled and his wounds are more serious than you think if he just vomited blood.” “You all just want him to suffer because we didn’t get here in time is that it, IS IT!” cried Fluttershy. “DAMMIT WILL YOU ALL SHUT UP AND BE QUIET FOR A FEW SECONDS!!” I yelled. They all turned to me and surprised to see me standing perfectly fine now. I still had blood dripping from my chin but I wiped it off and limped over to them. I stared them down with a tired and irritated look, “Worry about me later but right now i’m going to see what’s left of my home. When you’re done fighting about who’s on who’s side come with me.” I turned around started limping back home, my body ached in pain but my anger kept me on my hooves. I was tired, hurt badly, and irritated at everything that just happened. Like why couldn’t we just be happy that we’re alive!? We just saved Ponyville and stopped the random forest fire! As my anger began to simmer I began to hear hooves on the ground from behind, I turned around and saw everyone following me with their heads down in shame. I didn’t even say a word to them, just turned back around and continued to limp onward. After for what seemed like an hour or so we made it back home. There wasn’t really a home now, just ash and burning timberwood. It was still smoking and still radiating off heat but it didn’t matter to us. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I sulked in front of our burned down home. Why couldn’t I have stopped this fire? I could’ve done what I did in Ponyville and stop the fire from spreading. Maybe it was my fault that this happened... I was taken out of my thoughts when I coughed violently as the smoke choked my lungs and I quickly dropped to my knees. I crawled back to where I could breathe normally and stood up again. I was practically a few yards away from my home and friends. They all stared at me then back at my house then back at me. They still looked concerned but looked away, why are they suddenly avoiding me? I know I yelled at them but that doesn’t mean i’m going to stop talking to you. I can’t even think straight with all this pain and nausea I have right now, I feel like I could vomit again or drop to my knees and die or worse. I paused for a moment, sighed, shook my head and spit out some blood onto the ground. After a moment of silence Fluttershy spoke, “Cerulean?” she said, “We’re sorry that we fought.” I looked over to her and sighed again, “I don’t want you all to break apart because of some random incident.” I turned to the others, “Same goes for you all.” I said more sternly. Everypony nodded their heads, “Look, to make up for this you ponies can stay with us for now.” offered Applejack. “Why can’t you take me to the hospital?” I questioned. “It’s closed due to this forest fire.” said Twilight. I sighed sadly and painfully, “Guess I’ll have to wait for now, lets go.” Everyone except for Applejack, Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I left to go back home. As for us we followed Applejack back to her farm. It was a long walk and my body was screaming in pain by the time we made it. I was breathing heavily and could barely keep myself from dropping to the ground. Applejack took us inside and brought us to the living room, there I sat down on the couch and let out a long groan. “I’ll get yall some blankets and pillows.” said Applejack. We nodded our heads and she left the room, as for us we were silent. Fluttershy was looking at the floor with a devastated expression and Scootaloo couldn’t stop glancing at me. I sat up and made room for them both, it took them a second to realize what I was doing and they joined me. They made sure not to hurt me while they held me closely. I felt their trembling and heard their soft cries. I’m not sure if it's because of me or that fact we lost our home due to a strange but I can’t think straight at the moment. After half an hour or so Applejack finally came back but brought company, with her were Big Mac, Applebloom and Granny Smith. I wasn’t sure why the others were here but i’m guessing they’re worried about me. Applejack gave us the blankets, Big Mac gave us the pillows and Applebloom and Granny Smith gave me a strange bottle. I didn’t why but one thing is for sure, it smelled awful. “Drink this and you’ll feel better.” said Applebloom. I stared at the bottle, “What is it?” I asked. “It’s ma very special cider painkiller.” answered Big Mac, “I use it when I break a leg or something worse.” “Can it work on internal wounds?” I asked again. “You bet sonny.” said Granny Smith, “You could lose your leg and you won’t feel a thing.” she said. I wasn’t sure whether to take that as a good or bad thing but I took a sip of the bottle. It tasted awful but surprisingly my pain began to slowly started go away. My head felt light, my body felt warm and painfree. I immediately drank the whole bottle in one take but almost dropped it. The cider was extremely strong and it burned like crazy but soon all the pain went away. “Thanks.” I said happily, “I feel a lot better...*hic*” Big Mac smiled, “Light head aren’t ya?” he said with laugh. I stared him confused, “Um...What?” “Nevermind, night yall!.” said Big Mac while leaving. “Yall sleep well now, we’ll take you to the hospital and get ya fixed up first thing in the morning.” said Applejack. “You sound funny...” I said with a giggle. Fluttershy and Scootaloo stared at me for a moment, “Is he going to be ok?” asked Fluttershy. “Don’t ya fret young missy.” said Granny, “Just a side effect.” She winked at her and left the room, “Well goodnight you three.” said Applebloom joining her elder sibling. Applejack stayed a little longer to make sure I fall asleep or something but I can’t be too sure. The whole time she just stared at me but didn’t say anything, is she going to move or did she turn into a statue. “Um Applejack?” said Scootaloo, “How long you going to stare at my dad?” she asked. “Just making sure he doesn’t have anymore problems, when he falls asleep i’ll go.” she said quietly. Scootaloo nodded her head and snuggled into her blanket and pillow, as for Fluttershy she held me closely and closed her eyes. “Sleep well.” she said softly while kissing my forehead. “You...Too Fluttershy *hic*” Soon enough everything went black and I was out cold. “Heh, finally fell asleep.” said Applejack. There was a long moment of silence then Applejack began lean closer to Ceurlean’s face but stopped for a second. She looked over to Fluttershy who was asleep as well, same for Scootaloo. Knowing they were asleep she leaned in closer to Cerulean till her lips touched his. She didn’t pull away for a long time, she savoured the moment before pulling away, face blushing red and breathing slightly faster. “Ok...Ya got that out of yer system.” she said quietly, “Now never do this again or you’ll get in trouble.” she said to herself. She began to make her way for the stairs before stopping and turning to Cerulean, she couldn’t help but smile at how he slept. She then sighed sadly when she turned to Fluttershy, she had almost a grudge look to her. “Wish I got to him first...” she said bitterly while staying quiet. She went upstairs and into her room, there she sat on her bed for a while; she couldn’t stop touching her lips and thinking about what she had done. There were moments where she would get up and walk over to her door to do it again but she stopped when she pictured Fluttershy sleeping next to him. She gripped the doorknob angrily before releasing it and sitting back down. Tears began to build up and fall from her chin. She cried quietly so she wouldn’t wake anypony up but she wanted Cerulean to hear her but she knew the cider put him out cold. “Why did he get to me...” she said sadly before going to bed finally, she was still crying but didn’t care anymore, “Why?” she said to herself before finally falling asleep. Chapter 3 Goodbye...Chapter 3 Goodbye... “Ugh...My head and body.” I awoken to my head pounding like crazy and my body screaming in pain. It hurt to even breath or move my eyes around. I could only hear a loud ringing in my head and everything was blurry for some reason. I also had the a strange feeling of vomiting, all I know is I gotta find a bathroom fast. I quickly got off of the couch and stumbled over to the bathroom, there I puked my guts out for a few minutes and washed my face. After doing so I felt slightly better but the ringing was still there but going down too. I came back and laid back down close to Fluttershy. I noticed she was still sleeping but Scootaloo wasn’t with us, guess she’s out playing with Applebloom or helping with the bucking. Either way i’m sure she’s having fun. I began to close my eyes and go back to sleep until I started hearing screaming. I thought it was the ringing but it was gone now and I could hear everything clearly. I wasn’t not sure what was going on but I do know one thing, this could be bad... I got up again, looked out the window and my heart stopped for a second before beginning to pound with fear. In my eyes I saw a real, breathing, red scaled, adult dragon burning down Sweet Apple Acres. I quickly scanned the area and saw Applejack buried in burning branches, Big Mac and Scootaloo trying to save her, and Granny Smith trying to get away with Applebloom. It took little time for the beast to notice me and it opened it’s gaping mouth. I nearly froze in fear but one thing made me move, Fluttershy. I had little time to react, I turned around, grabbed Fluttershy and all our satchels, kicked open the door and flew out. I was almost too late, the beast was already burning down the house when I flew out. Fluttershy was wide awake by the time we were airborne but I nearly made us crash when my wings locked up from the pain I was in. Luckily she helped and made us land softly. “”What’s happening?!” she screamed. I forced myself up and took a few deep breaths, “I don’t know but follow Granny Smith...I’m going to help Big Mac and Scootaloo.” “B-but Cerulean you-” I gave her the satchels I was holding, “I’ll be right behind you, promise. Now go!” I could see her hesitation but she nodded her head and followed Granny Smith and Applebloom. I turned around and sprinted over to Big Mac and Scootaloo. They were trying to move the burning branches but they couldn’t since they could catch on fire. Applejack wasn’t saying much under the branches, only letting out a few moans but saving her breath. “Dammit help my sister!” ordered Big Mac. I nodded my head, “Move out of the way.” I readied my wings and took a few steps back. “But dad you’re still hurt!” screamed Scootaloo. “Worry about it later!” I argued. I took off and bashed through the branches, unfortunately I caught fire and I fell down. I was in too much pain to put out the fire and my vision began to grow dark. Everything in me hurt so much, the fire, my internal wounds and my head. It was all too much for me and I couldn’t do anything about it. Just as I was about to give up I heard a familiar voice and my body was suddenly freezing cold for a few seconds. I was then picked up and taken to somewhere. I didn’t know who was carrying me or where I was going but all I know was everything was beginning to fade to black. I then felt something hitting my chest, I could barely feel it but I looked up and saw two blurry looking figures. One was yellow and the other orange but I couldn’t make them out. Seconds later my head dropped back and everything went black, I thought I was dead, I felt cold and lifeless then my body began to warm up. I could only see this strange light, I didn’t know where it lead to but it felt warm and comforting. I stared at the light for a few second before looking around, everything around me was except for this door that was on the other side from the light. There was a strange noise coming from the door, it sounded familiar but the light was also making noise too. From the light I could hear two beings speaking but in mumbles. From the door, a few more, maybe 8 or 7. All I could make out from them was come but I couldn’t choose. The light. or the door, what do I do? Both could be a trap or could lead to somewhere that I need to be; but which one leads to my family? I listened carefully from both sides, the voices from the light were a bit strange but the door sounded more familiar. With that I opened the door and found a strange figure standing in my room. It looked like me but it was covered in a black smoke, seconds later it jumped at me and everything went black. My eyes immediately opened and saw only white. It was quiet and I heard a strange beeping sound to my right, I then realized I wasn’t dead but in a hospital room. I couldn’t move much but I was able to sit up but I groaned in pain, I looked around but everything was blurry. I wiped my eyes for a bit until everything cleared up, I was able to see fine now and I noticed Applejack, Applebloom, Big Mac, Fluttershy, Granny Smith and Scootaloo all sitting together. They were all asleep except for Fluttershy, she was the only one awake, she looked horrified and was shaking a lot. I called out to her, “F-Fluttershy...” Her ears instantly perked up and she turned to me, tears welled up and she ran over to me, “You’re alive!” she cried out while holding me tightly. “Gaugh!” I coughed out blood and screamed in pain, “L-let go!” I said weakly. Fluttershy saw the blood and pulled away, “P-please don’t die on me...” she pleaded, “Please stay with me.” “Don’t worry.” I said, “I’m not going anywhere, going to take a lot more than fire to kill me.” I smiled weakly. She smiled back and brushed my cheek gently, “Good.” she said happily. I wrapped my hooves around her and brought her closer to me, it hurt so much to do so but I didn’t care. I held her tightly and she did the same but more gently this time. I could feel the tears trailing down my back that were coming from her. I patted her back before releasing her and laying down. “Get the others.” I said. She nodded her and woke up the others, one by one they surrounded me. They were all in tears but glad I was awake. “How ya doing?” asked Applejack. “I’ll live. How bout you?” “Doc said i’d be fine but I need to rest up for a little.” she replied, “Thank you for me saving there, i’m sorry ya nearly died for it.” I shook my head, “I made a promise to protect you all with my life and I keep my word.” I placed my hoof over my chest, “Protectors never go back on their word.” I said humbly. She laughed quietly, “That’s a new one.” I gave her a smirk, “I’ve been working on it.” Everypony laughed and hugged me gently, “Thank you for saving ma sister.” said Big Mac, “Yeah, we really owe ya.” added Applebloom. I smiled, “Just keeping my word everypony.” Granny Smith patted my head, “Aw come now sonny, we’ll throw you a party for this!” she said. Before I could say anything else the door opened and a white mare with pink hair like Fluttershy’s and a red cross for a cutie mark came in, “You have visitors.” she said, “Is it ok if they come in?” Fluttershy nodded her head, “Yes, bring them in.” The mare turned around, “You can come in.” she said opening the door more. Walking in where the others, Cakeran, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Spike, and Sweetie Belle, “Thank you.” said Twilight, “We’ll take it from here.” The mare nodded her head, “Ok but I need to give Cerulean his painkillers first.” she said. She approached me and took out a needle, “Hello, my name is Nurse Redheart.” she said nicely, “You can call me Ms. for now.” she injected the needle into my arm, “This should take away the pain for a while.” she said goodbye and left the room. The pain instantly went away and I was felt a lot better, I sat up and stretched for a bit, “Wow! That stuff works fast!” I said with a laugh. Everypony smiled, “Just don’t go killing yourself anytime soon.” said Cakeran jokingly. I laughed, “No promises here.” “You’re more crazy than I thought.” said Rainbow, “Busting through a pile of burning wood, you have to be crazy to do that!” she said with a laugh. I laughed again, “Only when a friend is in trouble.” I turned to Twilight, “You already send word to Celestia about this?” She nodded her head, “Sent it as soon as I heard about this.” she then narrowed her eyes, “But I haven’t gotten a response...” I raised an eyebrow, “Maybe mail is full?” She shook her head, “That wouldn’t make sense though, she always gets them no matter what she is doing.” Twilight paused for a moment, “You don’t think...” Everyone in the room went silent in the realization Twilight had, “No...They couldn’t have...” said Rainbow, “Canterlot is the most guarded kingdom in all of Equestria.” “But how do they fare with dragons?” I said quietly. Everyone was silent again, “I’ve seen what they can do.” said Spike, “If they’re lucky they were spared...” I got off my bed, “We’ll have to see for ourselves.” Fluttershy stopped me, “But you need to rest.” she pleaded. I shook my head and turned to Twilight and Rarity, “Twilight cast a heal over spell and Rarity do your best with the healing. Twilight help her out when you finish with the spell.” “Are you crazy!” argued Rarity, “You’re covered in burns and blisters all over and you expect us to heal you completely?!” I narrowed my eyes at them, “I know you can’t heal me completely but just do the best you can.” “Cerulean this is a crazy plan!” argued Twilight. I smiled, “Like Rainbow said, i’m a pretty crazy pony.” The two sighed and gave in, “You better know what you’re doing.” said Twilight. I nodded my head, “Same here...” The two did their spells and healed me the best they could. The spell Twilight performed was one that heals you over time. It takes a while to perform and can cost quite a bit of magic but Twilight has more than enough to perform it on all of us. For Rarity she performed the same spell that she used on me last night, it doesn’t do much but it can take away some of the pain. When they finished I was able to fly around and move freely but not too fast. I’m lucky enough to do a rainboom but i’m not risking it unless needed. “Thanks.” I said, “Lets go.” just before I could open the door the lights went out and the ground shook. There was a long moment of silence before a roar was heard from outside, my eyes widen and I kicked open the door, “Go now!” I ordered. Everypony ran out and we made our way for the exit, ponies everywhere were panicking and running everywhere. We stopped when we saw Nurse Redheart moving an injured patient to a safe room. She noticed us and was confused on how I was fine but shook her head and continued with the patient. Seconds later the ceiling collapsed and she was no longer seen. I rushed over to the fallen debri and bashed my hooves against it, “Ms. are you ok!” “Yes!” she responded, “I’ll be fine, you and the others make your way for the exit. Don’t worry about me, I can take care of myself.” I nodded my head, “Stay alive and see you soon.” I turned back around to the others, “Lets go.” “But what about the nurse?” questioned Pinkie. “She can take care of herself now go!” We made our for the exit and once we made it out we looked back, on top of the hospital was the same dragon that attacked Sweet Apple Acres. We all stopped as the dragon tore the building down and burned it to ashes. The only thing going through my mind was that Nurse Redheart made it out alive. I know she said she can take care of herself but... Moments later the dragon noticed us and growled at the fact we’re still alive. We wasted no time and ran for our lives. The dragon chased after us and was getting closer, we did our best to lose the beast but it was beginning to corner us. Then out of nowhere I heard Scootaloo and Fluttershy scream out my name. I thought they were behind me but they weren’t. They were being picked up by the dragon and were about to be eaten alive. “NO!” I screamed, turning around taking off after the beast, “YOU PUT THEM-” I entered rainboom speed and tackled the dragon to ground, making it release Fluttershy and Scootaloo, “DOWN!!” The beast fell and landed on a few trees, most were crushed but a few entered it's back and the beast wailed in pain and anger. In its rage the dragon’s tail smacked me, sending me hurling into a boulder. I was in immense pain but wasn’t done with him, I immediately jumped back up, screamed at the beast to get its attention, “Is that the best you can do!” The dragon responded in no time and charged after, I smiled and took off. I flew past him and around him, making him dizzy and more irritated. I turned to the others who were watching me, “Head to the trains!” I ordered, “I’ll keep him busy!” Everypony stared at me with shock, “Are you crazy!” argued Rainbow, “We’re not-” I cut her off, “Dammit will you just do what I say! Now go before you all die!” They all hesitated but did what I told them. One by one they ran off, away from the dragon I was distracting, only ones still around were my daughter and Fluttershy. “Go, I can’t keep him busy much longer!” I demanded. “But we can’t leave you!” screamed Scootaloo, “You promised you wouldn’t leave us!” cried Fluttershy. “I know what I said and i’m sorry I wasn’t able to keep my word on that but i’m following my oath.” I placed my hoof over my heart, “Protectors never go back on their word.” there was a long moment of silence, I began to tear up knowing what will happen next, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for me you two. I love you both and goodbye...” I took after them, swept them off the ground and threw them to Twilight who caught them with her magic. They both screamed at me for doing this but they know i’m doing the right thing. I gave them one last look, smiled and said thank you to them. I then turned around to the dragon who was staring at me looking fatigued now but still mad. I straightened up and let out a deep breathe, “Come on you dumb dragon.” I took off behind him, “Try to catch me!” I succeeded in luring him away from my family, I smiled knowing that I was able to keep my oath till the end. I was crying for what will happen but I know it won’t be in vain. Thank you everypony, for everything you all did for me. I truly cannot express my gratitude to you all and...I’m sorry I won’t be around much longer...Goodbye. Just as I was slowing down the dragon stopped suddenly and smiled, I was confused until I turned around and saw a group of dragons in front of me. They quickly surrounded me and were getting closer and closer. My body trembled in the horror but I held my ground and awaited for their next move knowing it would lead to my demise... Chapter 4 Tornado RainboomChapter 4 The Tornado Rainboom Who would’ve thought i’d go out like this, being mauled alive by a group of dragons. To be honest I thought I would die by a manticore, hydra or timber wolves. Never did I once think of getting eaten by dragons, heh I guess everyone always have that last laugh before they meet their demise. Even if they don’t win or whatever they probably always have a laugh while letting out their last breath. As the group of scaled beasts came closer and closer my life began to replay itself in my mind. To when I was born, to when I found Fluttershy and to now. Everything was replayed to the last detail. Not one thing was left out, my only regret though...I won’t get to be around my friends anymore. I won’t get to see Scootaloo and her friends grow up, I won’t be with Fluttershy anymore, I won’t see my friends grow old and I won’t be around for when they need someone to protect to them. I then had a flashback of Rainbow Dash telling me about a move she’s been practicing, “I think i’ll call the rainboom tornado.” she said. I laughed, “Sounds plain.” “Just watch and be amazed by my awesomeness!” she took off and moments later plummeted to the ground in front of me, “Still working on it...” she said weakly. I rolled my eyes and helped her up, “You’re going to die if you keep it up at that rate I said, Maybe you need to speed up more.” I was then brought back to reality, “Well I might as well give it a try.” I said to myself, “What’s the worst that could happen, besides being eaten alive.” I flew up and readied myself, “You dragons want me! You gotta fight for me first!” I started flying in circles, increasing my speed as much as I could. My body was in pain and worn out from the previous events but i’m not giving up. For Fluttershy, Scootaloo and my friends, I will give it my all to the end. As I continued to speed up I entered rainboom speed but didn’t stop. I circled around but couldn’t get a vortex to form. I could see the dragons watching me with amusement thinking that this is will fail but i’m about to prove them wrong. I pushed myself harder and harder, used the pain I was in to go faster, ignored the need to stop. I only focused my mind on the speed. I soon realized that for this to work I had to go faster, beyond my limits. Beyond anypony’s limits, I had to enter mach 2 speed meaning, I had to perform a second rainboom...I wasn’t sure if this was possible but I digged deep and flew with all my might. I gave it my all, I was losing feeling in my wings but I forced them to flap hard. I didn’t care anymore whether I would die, I will succeed and save my family! Seconds later I created a second rainboom and flew even faster than before. I’ve never flew this fast before; I could barely keep myself in place or my eyes open. It felt like my body could just break apart from the strain I was in alone. I screamed as I could feel my skin breaking off and flesh flying away. Moment later I crashed into the ground, part of my wing missing and patches of skin missing too. I could hardly move, my body felt like it weighed a ton. I wasn’t sure what was going on as I heard screeching and roaring from behind but I was too exhausted to look back. I ended up blacking out once again and when I woke up I was being carried off to somewhere. I groaned and sat up, my body was so stiff it hurt to even breath. Suddenly everything stopped and a familiar pony walked over to me, she was a white mare with a pink mane and tail and had a red cross for a cutie mark. “Hard to believe you’re alive.” said Ms.Redheart with a laugh. I smiled weakly, “I’m hard to take down...” “I’ll say, can’t believe it was you who did that to.” she said proudly. I raised an eyebrow at her confusingly and painfully, “Did what?” “That tornado that got rid of the dragons!” she answered excitedly, “I’ve never seen anything like that!” “Um...I created a tornado that got rid of the dragons?” She nodded her head smiled brightly, “It was amazing! It had so many colors, it was a like rainbow tornado! What do you call it?” I couldn’t help but laugh at the fact I was able to do it, “...The Tornado Rainbow.” hope Dashie won’t be mad for me renaming her move. “Well it’s an amazing move to pull off but it can cost you dearly.” her excitement faded along with her smilel, “You lost a lot of blood and skin, you’re right wing is also broken. I had to use whatever I had to patch you up but i’m not sure if you’ll last much longer without proper care....” I shook my head, “You did your best and I thank you for that. I know i’m in no condition to move or anything but i’m going to the train station now. My friends could be waiting there.” “ARE YOU CRAZYING!” she said sounding angry, “You’re closer to death than before! You’re lucky to be alive Cerulean!” I shook my head again and forced myself up, “Whether i’m dieing or not I don’t care. I made them a promise and I won’t break it!” I began marching to the trainstation. “And what promise is so important that you’ll risk your life for?!” I paused for a second and turned to her, “Protecting the loved ones I care for deeply.” I placed my hoof over my chest, “Protectors oath.” I turned back around and continued marching forward until I dropped to the ground. I gritted my teeth in the pain but pushed onward until something stopped me. I turned around and saw Nurse Redheart holding my tail with her mouth, “Don’t make me buck you...” I said weakly. “I’m not going to stop you.” she said with a sigh, “I’m going to help you get to your friends.” she picked me up and steadied herself, “Train station right?” she asked. I nodded my, surprised she was able to carry to me, “I didn’t think you were this strong...” she laugh like it was joke, “I’ve carried ponies five times your weight, you’re like a feather to me.” I wasn’t sure if she was saying that because of the blood and skin loss but I let her do her thing and carry me to the station. As we walked through the destroyed street of Ponyville nothing but death and sorrow filled the streets. So many ponies were dead, burned, eaten, mauled, squished, toppled down, crushed and accidently killed by other ponies who weren’t careful with their sharp items. It was too much and I had to close my eyes as we passed by the dead bodies of the ponies I once knew. My only concern at the moment is that my dearest friends made it out ok. If they were killed...Then I have failed them... “So what’s your story?” asked Nurse Redheart, “Married to Fluttershy right? Good mare that pony is. Nice and pretty cute, i’d say you hit the jackpot.” she laughed quietly. “She’s not a prize...” I said angrily, “And we’re not married...” my face began to flourish with feelings. “Really? Huh well from what i’ve heard you two have been together for a while and had a foal named Scootaloo. I doubt that though, i’ve seen Scootaloo before you ever came by but nopony believes me.” “Well maybe you’ll believe me that we’re not married. We’re just um...Seeing how things go I guess...” I can’t believe I just said that. She turned to me with a smirk now, “I know what that means. Just taking nice and SLOW.” she gave me a wink and turned back, “Well at least she found a stallion willing to give his life for her.” I nodded my head, “Yeah she is...” I started to smile lightly, “Really lucky I found her...” “Found her? You mean like running into her?” asked Redheart. I realized what I said and turned red, “Um yeah, something like that...I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” She laughed again then stopped, “We’re here and it looks like your friends and SPECIAL friend are waiting for you.” I looked over and saw a few familiar looking ponies but my vision was blurred, possibly from the blood loss, “Can you walk me over to them?” I asked sincerely. She placed me down and put my arm around her, “You’re still my patient and we don’t leave our patients unattended.” she smiled, “Good luck and I hope to see you later on.” she began to lead me to the station, “HEY!” she called out, “YOU PONIES WAITING FOR CERULEAN?” “Yeah!” responded a country voice, “We’re holding the trains until he comes back. Ya know what happened to him?” “Who do you think she’s helping right now?” I said abruptly. There was a long silence before a yellow mare and purple foal came rushing towards me, they tackled me to the ground and immediately burst into tears, “You’re alive!” cried Fluttershy, “We thought you didn’t make it!” uttered Scootaloo while choking on her tears. It hurt to be tackled but I allowed them this time and swallowed the blood that I nearly spat out, “I-I missed you both too...” “I don’t mean to be rude but you might not wanna do that.” suggested Redheart, “He’s in a lot more pain than before and VERY close to death.” The two looked up and noticed part of my face was missing and covered in bandages, I looked away but only showed more of my wounds. They then looked down and saw parts of my body covered in gauze and a cast on my right wing. They were horrified at what they saw, i’m sure they’re both thinking how am I alive. I’m wondering that two. The others got a good look at me and Applejack and the other two young foals turned away. “W-what happened...” asked Fluttershy shakingly, not sure of herself whether she wants to know. I sighed heavily and stood up, “Did you guys see that rainbow tornado that got rid of the dragons?” they nodded their heads, “That was me...As you can all see doing that can cost you dearly.” I turned to Rainbow, “It’s not something I would recommend you do unless it's a dire situation and if you can make two rainbooms then you’ll be able to pull it off.” There was long pause, “So what you’re saying is that the move i’ve been working on...Could’ve killed me?” said Rainbow quietly. I nodded my head, “You could’ve possibly been blown to bits from the massive strain your body goes through. As of right now I can hardly breath without being in excruciating pain.” There was a another long pause, “So you’re saying you entered mach 2 speed...That’s over 1560 miles per hour!” said Twilight, “You’re lucky you just lost skin and broke a wing!” “I also lost a lot of blood.” I added, “From what Ms. Redheart told me I was a bloody mess...But the matter of the fact is, this is a very deadly move that nopony should do.” I turned to Rainbow, “I want you stop practicing that move and never mention it anypony. Understand?” Rainbow nodded her head, “I won’t tell anyone, Pinkie Promise!” I nodded my head and relaxed, “Now lets get back to business.” I turned to Ms. Redheart, “Why don’t you stay and help the wounded. They’ll need all the help they can get.” I turned back to my friends, “As for us we’re heading to Canterlot.” “But what about your wounds?” asked Rarity. “See if you both can heal me again, cast another heal over spell if you have to. Just do what you can and i’ll heal on my own.” They nodded their head, “I’ll let the trains mare know we’re ready to leave.” said Twilight leaving us and entering the train. “Lets get inside and rest up. I’m sure we’ve seen enough for one day.” I suggested. “Yeah you’re right about that.” said Ms. Redheart, “I’ll stay here and care for the wounded. As for you all get there safely, when you get back find me and let me know what’s going on. I’ll tell the rest. Also, see if you can bring some supplies, I fear we may have no more...” I nodded my head, “We’ll be sure to ask and thank you for saving me there.” I soluted her but smiled this time instead of looking angry, she soluted me back and smiled, “See you ponies later.” We said our goodbyes to Ms. Redheart and made our way to the train, once we were seated we immediately took off. Finally I could just relax and heal up for the time being, hopefully I could get some sleep too. “Um...Cerulean?” said Sweetie Belle walking over to me, “T-thank you...” “For what?” She teared up and wrapped her hooves around my legs, “For saving me!” she cried, “I thought I wouldn’t be able to see my sister or my friends again! I literally thought I was going to die!” she sobbed loudly over my leg, “I’ve never been so scared in my whole life!” I picked her up and held her closely, I patted her mane and shushed her, “I’m just keeping my promise. Like i’m going to let a dragon eat you alive in front of me. Same for your sister and the others. You’re my family and I watch over all of you.” I brought her closer to me, “I know you’re scared but you’re safe now.” I turned to Rarity, “Mind calming her down?” She nodded her head, “I don’t mind and...Thank you.” she walked over to me and kissed my cheek, “I thought I lost her for moment back there...” tears began rolling down her face, “Thank you.” she whispered before taking Sweetie Belle back to her seat and calming her down. She sang some random song that I couldn’t really make out, it sounded nice and it seemed to calm down the others. I smiled again, tried to ignore my pain and relax. At least for now we can rest and heal up. A lot has happened and I hope that Canterlot was not affected by this.
Intro+Chapter 1 The BeginningEquestria at War By Junster00741 6/5/13-7/29/13 Intro Why...Why did this all have to happen? Nothing is the same, so many dead, so many are suffering. -cries- All I wanted was to live a normal life, none of this war bullshit! This just ruined everything and I want it all back, I want my life back, my friends, family, loved ones and my brother...Why did he have to go! Doesn’t he care for me, he said he’d always be there for me when I needed him the most but he lied. It was all a lie! A lie! This entry was found next to a pegasus carcass along with other two ponies, both pegasus. One a stallion and one a foal. Their bodies were beyond recognition due to massive bites and burns, subjects. The old ponies were holding their hooves but it seemed like the writer did this before taking her last breath. Not many are sure on why this war started, many believe it started in Ponyville but even now it does not matter... Only thing that matters is surviving, everypony for themselves during these times... Chapter 1 The Beginning It was a pretty nice day, a few clouds here and there and the wind felt nice. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I were in Sweet Apple Acres looking for Scootaloo’s clubhouse. Since it was on a private part of the farm it was taking us a while to find it. I was surprised by how few trees were here, like 5 or 7 in random areas of this place. Scootaloo was leading the pack while I stayed closed to Fluttershy, we both eyed each other a few times and smiled. “You guys excited as I am?” asked Scootaloo. I nodded my head, “You bet, where is this place anyway?” I asked. “Not too far now.” she replied, “Just keep following me.” “I wonder what this occasion is about.” asked Fluttershy. I shrugged, “Could be a party for all we know. Wonder if Pinkie will be there since it could a party.” “I think we’d know if it was a party,” said Fluttershy, “Wouldn’t there be loud music and something exploding in the back?” I gave her a look and smiled, “Fair point.” I nudged her nose and chuckled as she blushed and hid in her mane. “Oh give me a break.” whined Scootaloo. We laughed as Scootaloo starting to gag and stick her hoof into her mouth. I’m sure later on she’ll find a pony and do the same things we’re doing now. Wonder when that day will come, just hope it isn’t some carefree filly that acts out. I hate those type of ponies and they annoy everypony so much I can’t stand it. Why do they even do that anyway? Is there a reason or are they just plain dumb? “Hey we’re close!” shouted Scootaloo, “Come on!” She started running and and we picked up the pace, few seconds later she suddenly stopped which caught me off guard and I flopped to my face. I could hear them both giggling behind me as I got up and wiped my face. Luckily the grass made it a soft land but now I have grass blood all over my face. I also had a mouth full of dirt and grass, it didn’t taste too well and I quickly spit it out. “You ok?” asked Scootaloo, still giggling. “Yeah.” I replied, “The ground tastes weird.” “Maybe you should watch your step.” laughed Fluttershy. I stuck my tongue out at them and wiped off the remaining crud off my face. Once I was finished I turned around to see a treehouse in the middle of this patch land. There were no apple trees in sight for a few yards but the house was pretty well made. It had a neat looking stairway that would drop down and pull up while you were inside. I’ve never really seen a treehouse in my whole life so I was having a little childhood moment while the others walked over to the stairs. They both stopped and turned to me, “You ok?” asked Fluttershy, “Yeah you didn’t hit your head again did you?” questioned Scootaloo. I shook my head, “I just never seen a treehouse before so i’m kinda having a moment here...” I smiled in awe. Fluttershy walked over to me and hugged me tightly, “It’s more amazing inside.” she said calmly, “Come and see for yourself.” I turned red and nodded my head, “S-sure...” I said quietly before being taken in. Inside I was even more amazed by the way it looked, it looked small outside but inside was so much more bigger. You could fit a family of 10 or more in here and still have room for them to not be crowded. I felt a little kid again exploring the things you could miss so easily that are shown in plain sight. Once I had my moment Fluttershy brought me over to a row of chairs where Applejack and Rarity were at. We took our seats and started up a chat with them. “Howdy Cerulean and Fluttershy.” greeted Applejack, “How yall doing?” she asked. “Good day you two.” greeted Rarity, “I hope you’re doing alright.” she said. We nodded our heads, “We’re doing fine.” I said, “Yeah nothing too exciting really.” said Fluttershy. Applejack chuckled, “Coming from you two I doubt that.” she said. “Applejack!” snapped Rarity, “You must respect one’s personal life.” she said firmly. “Oh lighten up miss prissy pants.” replied Applejack, “Just teasing yall.” I laughed, “We’re doing pretty well.” I said happily, “Didn’t think this would happen to be honest.” “What do you mean?” asked Rarity. “Well you know how we-” Scootaloo barged in and interrupted Fluttershy, “Hey, anypony seen Applebloom and Sweetie Belle?” she asked frantically. We shook our heads, “Why are we here again?” asked Rarity. “It’s a surprise.” replied Scootaloo, “Ugh! Where are they?!” she complained. The door suddenly flew open and walked in were two fillies, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, “There ya are.” said Applebloom, “We’ve been looking all over for you.” complained Sweetie Belle. “I should say the same for you two.” argued Scootaloo, “Lets get this started.” she said. The three put on their capes they wore for their crusader meetings and walked over to a stand that stood in front of the chairs. They walked boldly with their heads high up and their eyes closed but Sweetie Belle ended up smacking into a wall and fell back. Applebloom and Scootaloo seemed unamused and told her to stop fooling around. Blushing with embarrassment Sweetie Belle got up, dusted herself and joined her crusader friends. Applebloom cleared her throat and spoke, “Thank you for coming on short notice.” she said, “Today we brought yall here to celebrate for an amazing achievement we made.” she smiled, “Bab Seed, ma cousin, has been able to get our business out into the public and we’ve also been receiving letters telling us about how many new members join and how more crusader places are opening up. This is a huge success and we brought you all here to have a party. Food and drinks will be in shortly, have fun!” she exited the stand and brought in a cart of food, drinks and a stereo and the party started. “Huh so that's what this is all about.” said Applejack, “Oh what the hay, lets party!” She got off her chair and started dancing like no tomorrow, Rarity joined her and they both danced while the foals watched and made jokes. As for Fluttershy and I we just hanged back and ate while the others had fun. We’re not much for dancing but we have fun talking to each other anyway. A few hour passed by and the sun was starting set. That was our signal to leave since we had to clean our animals today, they can get pretty smelly if you don’t wash them for 3 months. “You ready to go?” asked Fluttershy. I nodded my head, “Yeah, i’ll just let Scoo-...” something caught my attention, “What’s that?” I looked out the window and saw a strange creature flying around, it was pretty big but I couldn’t make it out. The sun was behind it so it just looked like a flying shadow but it flew in circles and nothing more. I watched it carefully, wondering what is doing then suddenly, it left in a hurry. Just as it left something started coming out of the trees from where the creature hovered over. My eyes widened as I realized our home was there and what was rising from it. “What is it?” asked Fluttershy. I quickly turned to her, “We got smoke coming from our house.” I said in a serious tone. Her eyes widen, “The animals...We gotta go now!” she said. I nodded my head and we made our way to the door but were stopped by Applejack and others, “Wow there sugarcube.” she said, “Where ya two going in such a hurry? I understand you two-” I pushed her aside and opened the door, “We got fire coming from our home!” “What!?” screamed everypony. Fluttershy and I quickly flew out and made our way to our home. As we got closer a black cloud began to surround us, it was getting hot and the air suddenly felt like it wasn’t there. By the time we got to our home there was fire everywhere and animals running in all directions. I watched in horror as everything around us was being burnt to crisp. Soon a rush of anger and fear came to me but I ignored and turned to Fluttershy. “You stay here while I go check if they all made it out.” I ordered. She nodded her head and I flew inside, inside the whole place was filled with smoke and flames. I quickly checked every rabbit, mouse and bird cages and holes and luckily they were all empty. Once I was sure no animal was inside I made my way for the door but stopped as it collapsed in front of me, taking away my only escape from this burning house. Quickly losing my breath I ran upstairs checked the rooms to see if I could find a window or something to let me out. While checking the rooms I decided to quickly grabbed Fluttershy and Scootaloo’s satchels including mine and filled them with stuff we held dearly. For Scootaloo, the badge Rainbow Dash gave her from the Wonderbolt Academy and a picture. For Fluttershy, a picture book, a letter and a picture. For me the two letters I wrote for Fluttershy and a picture. The pictures I took had all three of us sitting together and smiling. Once I grabbed everything I turned around and noticed the door quickly being covered in flames. Cursing at myself I looked around and saw a window that led to the outside, meaning my way out of this burning house. I rushed over to it and pushed it but was shocked when it didn’t budge but made a whining sound letting you know it was jammed. Running out of time and air I took a few steps back, readied my wings, and jetted towards the window. The window shattered as I smashed through and I wasn’t a moment too soon either. When I turned around I watched my house collapsed to the ground and burn to ash. Tears soon began to blur my vision but then I felt light headed and plummeted to the ground. Dazed and disoriented I walked around until I stumbled to Fluttershy and the others. They didn’t noticed I was there until I coughed and tried to catch my breath. The second they heard me Fluttershy and Scootaloo quickly rushed to me and held me tightly. I groaned in pain and they quickly pulled away, when I looked up I noticed blood and glass was smeared over them. They screamed in horror as they saw the shape I was in, I had burns, glass, ash and blood all over me. I was still dizzy and sat down quickly and tried to catch my breath. I breathed in too much smoke into my lungs and I felt like I could pass out in any moment. “Somepony do something!” screamed Fluttershy. “Move aside.” ordered Rarity, “I know a spell that heal him but it won’t heal him completely.” she said sadly. She used a heal spell on me that made some of the burns go away and the smoke clear up too. I was able to stand again and breath normally but the glass was still cutting into my body. Luckily Applejack and to the others removed the glass shards off me and did their best not to make it worse. Once they finished I turned around to watch the last bit of our house burn away. Only the roof was left and it was quickly giving way to the fire. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I cried quietly at the fact we lost our home. We had so many good memories and just like that, it’s all gone but not all of it. Remembering the satchels I gave them their satchels and they smiled as they took out what was inside them. They held me tightly once more, still crying but I held them closely. I know this is hard but at least we have something remember the house by. We held each other for what seemed like hours, I didn’t let them go until they stopped crying. After a few minutes they pulled away from and watched the remains of our house burn. Seconds later I realized the fire was making its way to Ponyville and my heart began pounding. If we don’t get there in time they won’t be able to stop it. I turned to the others, “We gotta warn Ponyville before it's too late.” I said. Everypony’s eyes widened as they realized where the fire was heading, “Shoot we’re like miles away!” said Applejack. I quickly started running, “Come on!” I shouted, “We can’t let the same thing happen to them!” I was already ahead of everypony but I didn’t slow down for them, I can’t slow down or Ponyville is history. My body screamed in pain but I ignored it and used the pain to make me run faster. I pushed myself faster and faster, not caring what my body says but suddenly I tripped and fell face first to the ground. I wasted no time in getting up and I was back running again but I stopped again and dropped to my knees. My eyes were in disbelief, I thought we could make it... In front of me was Ponyville, covered in flames, ponies everywhere ran and screamed. They begged for help and others ran while burning alive. I dropped my head in horror, “We were too late...”
Chapter 2 Quick To BlameChapter 2 Quick To Blame “We were too late.” I lifted my head and watched Ponyville slowly burn to the ground, “I wasn’t fast enough...” I watched as ponies ran in terror as houses and buildings fell down and topple over a few. They screamed and begged for help but nopony came to their aid. Even the ones who were savable were left to die. It was all too much for me and my mind began to race and go wild. Too much was happening and I wanted to all stop and go back to normal but it didn’t. Chaos continued and didn’t stop or let up, more and more ponies and houses were being burned but nothing was being done about it. Just as I was about to lose it I felt something grab me and take me away. I turned around saw Fluttershy and Scootaloo both holding me with frantic hooves. Seeing how scared they were are how they were searching for the confidence I always give them I pulled myself together and stood up. I held them both closely for a moment before letting them and turning back to burning village. “We gotta stop this fire.” I said looking more confident now. “But how can we put out all of Ponyville?” asked Fluttershy. I looked up and saw a large number of clouds above Ponyville, “With clouds.” I said with a smirk. They stared at me with confusion, “Clouds?” repeated Scootaloo. I nodded my head, “Stay here, don’t get hurt ok.” “But you’re still hurt...” said Fluttershy. I shook my head, “I can still fly.” I quickly took the sky and went into the center of chaos, there I cleared my throat and told everypony to stop and listen. A few did at first but when I started yelling they all stopped and listened. I’m not too used to talking in a large groups, especially in a situation like this. “EVERYPONY GRAB A CLOUD AND COMBINE THEM INTO ONE GIANT SUPER RAIN CLOUD!” I ordered. Everypony were puzzled on my command but did what I said and started grabbing clouds and combining them. I assisted a few but my injuries limited me on helping. I could barely keep myself airborne let alone push one but I just kept pushing myself. After I grabbed my seventh cloud everything began to blur and I started to feel weightless until something jerked me back to reality. I looked up and saw Rainbow and Cakeran both holding my arms up, keeping me from falling. “Cerulean what’s wrong with you!” questioned Rainbow in shock. “Yeah you just fainted for a second.” added Cakeran. I shook my head and gathered my bearings, “I’m fine don’t worry...” They both looked into my eyes for a second but nodded their heads and placed me on solid ground, “Just don’t overdo it.” pleaded Rainbow before going back to the clouds.. I stayed back for a few seconds and let my strength come back, I took in a few deep breaths before I was able to to stand firmly again. My body was worn out from the sprinting and still hurt internally from the fire but I can’t let this happen to Ponyville. Once I knew I was ready, I stuck out my wings and took off. By the time I was up the cloud was ready but everypony was still confused on what to do. They all turned to me looking for an answer but I was more irritated at their stupidity. “MAKE IT RAIN IDIOTS!” I shouted angrily. They didn’t take my tone too well but did was I said and started stomping at the cloud. The cloud slowly darkened and began to thunder, soon enough rain began to pour down on the burning village. Since the cloud was incredibly large it required a lot of strength to make water come out of it. Even with all our combined strength we were only getting a little rain but we just kept on stomping without stopping. Every stomp I felt a jolt of pain run through my whole body but I didn’t stop. For all I know I might’ve broken my legs or worse. It took some time but the fire began to die and everything began to settle, once the last flame was washed down we stopped and flew down. I practically plummeted to the ground breathing heavily but happy that we stopped the fire. Out of nowhere everypony began to argue on why they weren’t warned about this fire. They said it came from the forest and they began to question why the forest ponies didn’t come. Seconds later I heard a frantic scream of two mares and I quickly sprang up and appeared before them and the angry ponies. “You don’t hurt them...” I said darkly. “Why didn’t you tell us about this!?” demanded the angry pony. “We didn’t know because we were at a party!” I argued, “We didn’t notice it till we were leaving.” “WHY DIDN’T YOU NOTICE IT SOONER!?” shouted the pony. “BECAUSE WE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS-” I suddenly dropped to the ground and vomited out blood. Everyone around me gasped and backed away but Fluttershy and Scootaloo didn’t. They came to my aid and laid me down gently. They both turned angrily toward the crowd of now frightened ponies and glared at them all with tears running down their faces. “CERULEAN JUST SAVED YOU!” shouted Scootaloo. “THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS SAY THANKS OR SOMETHING!” demanded Fluttershy. I’ve never seen them both stand up for me, I laid there, blood trailing down my from my lips and shocked at what i’m seeing. Fluttershy, the mare i’ve always been protecting and standing up for is doing exact same for me and Scootaloo. The foal Fluttershy and I adopted not too long ago is doing this same. I didn’t know how to react to this but I just stared at them, waiting for what’s about to happen next at this moment. It was silent and everypony stared at Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I. They didn’t say anything but a few still held a angry look on them. A few seconds later they began to break apart and go assess the damage. As they walked past us a few glared but others thanked and offered help for me but I told them to just mind their own business. I was mad at the fact they accused us of this but how could we know anyway? We were gone at a party for a celebration, since when did we become the patrol guards?! Once everypony was gone it was just me, Fluttershy, Scootaloo and our friends. They all looked concerned and sad that we were accused of all this. Fluttershy and Scootaloo helped me up and steadied me. Everything in me burned and my heart pounded furiously while I steadied my breathing. “Will somepony help my dad!” demanded Scootaloo. “Twilight why aren’t you doing anything?!” questioned Fluttershy franticly. “I can’t help him!” shouted back Twilight, “I can’t heal internal wounds, i’m not that skilled and his wounds are more serious than you think if he just vomited blood.” “You all just want him to suffer because we didn’t get here in time is that it, IS IT!” cried Fluttershy. “DAMMIT WILL YOU ALL SHUT UP AND BE QUIET FOR A FEW SECONDS!!” I yelled. They all turned to me and surprised to see me standing perfectly fine now. I still had blood dripping from my chin but I wiped it off and limped over to them. I stared them down with a tired and irritated look, “Worry about me later but right now i’m going to see what’s left of my home. When you’re done fighting about who’s on who’s side come with me.” I turned around started limping back home, my body ached in pain but my anger kept me on my hooves. I was tired, hurt badly, and irritated at everything that just happened. Like why couldn’t we just be happy that we’re alive!? We just saved Ponyville and stopped the random forest fire! As my anger began to simmer I began to hear hooves on the ground from behind, I turned around and saw everyone following me with their heads down in shame. I didn’t even say a word to them, just turned back around and continued to limp onward. After for what seemed like an hour or so we made it back home. There wasn’t really a home now, just ash and burning timberwood. It was still smoking and still radiating off heat but it didn’t matter to us. Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I sulked in front of our burned down home. Why couldn’t I have stopped this fire? I could’ve done what I did in Ponyville and stop the fire from spreading. Maybe it was my fault that this happened... I was taken out of my thoughts when I coughed violently as the smoke choked my lungs and I quickly dropped to my knees. I crawled back to where I could breathe normally and stood up again. I was practically a few yards away from my home and friends. They all stared at me then back at my house then back at me. They still looked concerned but looked away, why are they suddenly avoiding me? I know I yelled at them but that doesn’t mean i’m going to stop talking to you. I can’t even think straight with all this pain and nausea I have right now, I feel like I could vomit again or drop to my knees and die or worse. I paused for a moment, sighed, shook my head and spit out some blood onto the ground. After a moment of silence Fluttershy spoke, “Cerulean?” she said, “We’re sorry that we fought.” I looked over to her and sighed again, “I don’t want you all to break apart because of some random incident.” I turned to the others, “Same goes for you all.” I said more sternly. Everypony nodded their heads, “Look, to make up for this you ponies can stay with us for now.” offered Applejack. “Why can’t you take me to the hospital?” I questioned. “It’s closed due to this forest fire.” said Twilight. I sighed sadly and painfully, “Guess I’ll have to wait for now, lets go.” Everyone except for Applejack, Fluttershy, Scootaloo and I left to go back home. As for us we followed Applejack back to her farm. It was a long walk and my body was screaming in pain by the time we made it. I was breathing heavily and could barely keep myself from dropping to the ground. Applejack took us inside and brought us to the living room, there I sat down on the couch and let out a long groan. “I’ll get yall some blankets and pillows.” said Applejack. We nodded our heads and she left the room, as for us we were silent. Fluttershy was looking at the floor with a devastated expression and Scootaloo couldn’t stop glancing at me. I sat up and made room for them both, it took them a second to realize what I was doing and they joined me. They made sure not to hurt me while they held me closely. I felt their trembling and heard their soft cries. I’m not sure if it's because of me or that fact we lost our home due to a strange but I can’t think straight at the moment. After half an hour or so Applejack finally came back but brought company, with her were Big Mac, Applebloom and Granny Smith. I wasn’t sure why the others were here but i’m guessing they’re worried about me. Applejack gave us the blankets, Big Mac gave us the pillows and Applebloom and Granny Smith gave me a strange bottle. I didn’t why but one thing is for sure, it smelled awful. “Drink this and you’ll feel better.” said Applebloom. I stared at the bottle, “What is it?” I asked. “It’s ma very special cider painkiller.” answered Big Mac, “I use it when I break a leg or something worse.” “Can it work on internal wounds?” I asked again. “You bet sonny.” said Granny Smith, “You could lose your leg and you won’t feel a thing.” she said. I wasn’t sure whether to take that as a good or bad thing but I took a sip of the bottle. It tasted awful but surprisingly my pain began to slowly started go away. My head felt light, my body felt warm and painfree. I immediately drank the whole bottle in one take but almost dropped it. The cider was extremely strong and it burned like crazy but soon all the pain went away. “Thanks.” I said happily, “I feel a lot better...*hic*” Big Mac smiled, “Light head aren’t ya?” he said with laugh. I stared him confused, “Um...What?” “Nevermind, night yall!.” said Big Mac while leaving. “Yall sleep well now, we’ll take you to the hospital and get ya fixed up first thing in the morning.” said Applejack. “You sound funny...” I said with a giggle. Fluttershy and Scootaloo stared at me for a moment, “Is he going to be ok?” asked Fluttershy. “Don’t ya fret young missy.” said Granny, “Just a side effect.” She winked at her and left the room, “Well goodnight you three.” said Applebloom joining her elder sibling. Applejack stayed a little longer to make sure I fall asleep or something but I can’t be too sure. The whole time she just stared at me but didn’t say anything, is she going to move or did she turn into a statue. “Um Applejack?” said Scootaloo, “How long you going to stare at my dad?” she asked. “Just making sure he doesn’t have anymore problems, when he falls asleep i’ll go.” she said quietly. Scootaloo nodded her head and snuggled into her blanket and pillow, as for Fluttershy she held me closely and closed her eyes. “Sleep well.” she said softly while kissing my forehead. “You...Too Fluttershy *hic*” Soon enough everything went black and I was out cold. “Heh, finally fell asleep.” said Applejack. There was a long moment of silence then Applejack began lean closer to Ceurlean’s face but stopped for a second. She looked over to Fluttershy who was asleep as well, same for Scootaloo. Knowing they were asleep she leaned in closer to Cerulean till her lips touched his. She didn’t pull away for a long time, she savoured the moment before pulling away, face blushing red and breathing slightly faster. “Ok...Ya got that out of yer system.” she said quietly, “Now never do this again or you’ll get in trouble.” she said to herself. She began to make her way for the stairs before stopping and turning to Cerulean, she couldn’t help but smile at how he slept. She then sighed sadly when she turned to Fluttershy, she had almost a grudge look to her. “Wish I got to him first...” she said bitterly while staying quiet. She went upstairs and into her room, there she sat on her bed for a while; she couldn’t stop touching her lips and thinking about what she had done. There were moments where she would get up and walk over to her door to do it again but she stopped when she pictured Fluttershy sleeping next to him. She gripped the doorknob angrily before releasing it and sitting back down. Tears began to build up and fall from her chin. She cried quietly so she wouldn’t wake anypony up but she wanted Cerulean to hear her but she knew the cider put him out cold. “Why did he get to me...” she said sadly before going to bed finally, she was still crying but didn’t care anymore, “Why?” she said to herself before finally falling asleep.
Chapter 3 Goodbye...Chapter 3 Goodbye... “Ugh...My head and body.” I awoken to my head pounding like crazy and my body screaming in pain. It hurt to even breath or move my eyes around. I could only hear a loud ringing in my head and everything was blurry for some reason. I also had the a strange feeling of vomiting, all I know is I gotta find a bathroom fast. I quickly got off of the couch and stumbled over to the bathroom, there I puked my guts out for a few minutes and washed my face. After doing so I felt slightly better but the ringing was still there but going down too. I came back and laid back down close to Fluttershy. I noticed she was still sleeping but Scootaloo wasn’t with us, guess she’s out playing with Applebloom or helping with the bucking. Either way i’m sure she’s having fun. I began to close my eyes and go back to sleep until I started hearing screaming. I thought it was the ringing but it was gone now and I could hear everything clearly. I wasn’t not sure what was going on but I do know one thing, this could be bad... I got up again, looked out the window and my heart stopped for a second before beginning to pound with fear. In my eyes I saw a real, breathing, red scaled, adult dragon burning down Sweet Apple Acres. I quickly scanned the area and saw Applejack buried in burning branches, Big Mac and Scootaloo trying to save her, and Granny Smith trying to get away with Applebloom. It took little time for the beast to notice me and it opened it’s gaping mouth. I nearly froze in fear but one thing made me move, Fluttershy. I had little time to react, I turned around, grabbed Fluttershy and all our satchels, kicked open the door and flew out. I was almost too late, the beast was already burning down the house when I flew out. Fluttershy was wide awake by the time we were airborne but I nearly made us crash when my wings locked up from the pain I was in. Luckily she helped and made us land softly. “”What’s happening?!” she screamed. I forced myself up and took a few deep breaths, “I don’t know but follow Granny Smith...I’m going to help Big Mac and Scootaloo.” “B-but Cerulean you-” I gave her the satchels I was holding, “I’ll be right behind you, promise. Now go!” I could see her hesitation but she nodded her head and followed Granny Smith and Applebloom. I turned around and sprinted over to Big Mac and Scootaloo. They were trying to move the burning branches but they couldn’t since they could catch on fire. Applejack wasn’t saying much under the branches, only letting out a few moans but saving her breath. “Dammit help my sister!” ordered Big Mac. I nodded my head, “Move out of the way.” I readied my wings and took a few steps back. “But dad you’re still hurt!” screamed Scootaloo. “Worry about it later!” I argued. I took off and bashed through the branches, unfortunately I caught fire and I fell down. I was in too much pain to put out the fire and my vision began to grow dark. Everything in me hurt so much, the fire, my internal wounds and my head. It was all too much for me and I couldn’t do anything about it. Just as I was about to give up I heard a familiar voice and my body was suddenly freezing cold for a few seconds. I was then picked up and taken to somewhere. I didn’t know who was carrying me or where I was going but all I know was everything was beginning to fade to black. I then felt something hitting my chest, I could barely feel it but I looked up and saw two blurry looking figures. One was yellow and the other orange but I couldn’t make them out. Seconds later my head dropped back and everything went black, I thought I was dead, I felt cold and lifeless then my body began to warm up. I could only see this strange light, I didn’t know where it lead to but it felt warm and comforting. I stared at the light for a few second before looking around, everything around me was except for this door that was on the other side from the light. There was a strange noise coming from the door, it sounded familiar but the light was also making noise too. From the light I could hear two beings speaking but in mumbles. From the door, a few more, maybe 8 or 7. All I could make out from them was come but I couldn’t choose. The light. or the door, what do I do? Both could be a trap or could lead to somewhere that I need to be; but which one leads to my family? I listened carefully from both sides, the voices from the light were a bit strange but the door sounded more familiar. With that I opened the door and found a strange figure standing in my room. It looked like me but it was covered in a black smoke, seconds later it jumped at me and everything went black. My eyes immediately opened and saw only white. It was quiet and I heard a strange beeping sound to my right, I then realized I wasn’t dead but in a hospital room. I couldn’t move much but I was able to sit up but I groaned in pain, I looked around but everything was blurry. I wiped my eyes for a bit until everything cleared up, I was able to see fine now and I noticed Applejack, Applebloom, Big Mac, Fluttershy, Granny Smith and Scootaloo all sitting together. They were all asleep except for Fluttershy, she was the only one awake, she looked horrified and was shaking a lot. I called out to her, “F-Fluttershy...” Her ears instantly perked up and she turned to me, tears welled up and she ran over to me, “You’re alive!” she cried out while holding me tightly. “Gaugh!” I coughed out blood and screamed in pain, “L-let go!” I said weakly. Fluttershy saw the blood and pulled away, “P-please don’t die on me...” she pleaded, “Please stay with me.” “Don’t worry.” I said, “I’m not going anywhere, going to take a lot more than fire to kill me.” I smiled weakly. She smiled back and brushed my cheek gently, “Good.” she said happily. I wrapped my hooves around her and brought her closer to me, it hurt so much to do so but I didn’t care. I held her tightly and she did the same but more gently this time. I could feel the tears trailing down my back that were coming from her. I patted her back before releasing her and laying down. “Get the others.” I said. She nodded her and woke up the others, one by one they surrounded me. They were all in tears but glad I was awake. “How ya doing?” asked Applejack. “I’ll live. How bout you?” “Doc said i’d be fine but I need to rest up for a little.” she replied, “Thank you for me saving there, i’m sorry ya nearly died for it.” I shook my head, “I made a promise to protect you all with my life and I keep my word.” I placed my hoof over my chest, “Protectors never go back on their word.” I said humbly. She laughed quietly, “That’s a new one.” I gave her a smirk, “I’ve been working on it.” Everypony laughed and hugged me gently, “Thank you for saving ma sister.” said Big Mac, “Yeah, we really owe ya.” added Applebloom. I smiled, “Just keeping my word everypony.” Granny Smith patted my head, “Aw come now sonny, we’ll throw you a party for this!” she said. Before I could say anything else the door opened and a white mare with pink hair like Fluttershy’s and a red cross for a cutie mark came in, “You have visitors.” she said, “Is it ok if they come in?” Fluttershy nodded her head, “Yes, bring them in.” The mare turned around, “You can come in.” she said opening the door more. Walking in where the others, Cakeran, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Spike, and Sweetie Belle, “Thank you.” said Twilight, “We’ll take it from here.” The mare nodded her head, “Ok but I need to give Cerulean his painkillers first.” she said. She approached me and took out a needle, “Hello, my name is Nurse Redheart.” she said nicely, “You can call me Ms. for now.” she injected the needle into my arm, “This should take away the pain for a while.” she said goodbye and left the room. The pain instantly went away and I was felt a lot better, I sat up and stretched for a bit, “Wow! That stuff works fast!” I said with a laugh. Everypony smiled, “Just don’t go killing yourself anytime soon.” said Cakeran jokingly. I laughed, “No promises here.” “You’re more crazy than I thought.” said Rainbow, “Busting through a pile of burning wood, you have to be crazy to do that!” she said with a laugh. I laughed again, “Only when a friend is in trouble.” I turned to Twilight, “You already send word to Celestia about this?” She nodded her head, “Sent it as soon as I heard about this.” she then narrowed her eyes, “But I haven’t gotten a response...” I raised an eyebrow, “Maybe mail is full?” She shook her head, “That wouldn’t make sense though, she always gets them no matter what she is doing.” Twilight paused for a moment, “You don’t think...” Everyone in the room went silent in the realization Twilight had, “No...They couldn’t have...” said Rainbow, “Canterlot is the most guarded kingdom in all of Equestria.” “But how do they fare with dragons?” I said quietly. Everyone was silent again, “I’ve seen what they can do.” said Spike, “If they’re lucky they were spared...” I got off my bed, “We’ll have to see for ourselves.” Fluttershy stopped me, “But you need to rest.” she pleaded. I shook my head and turned to Twilight and Rarity, “Twilight cast a heal over spell and Rarity do your best with the healing. Twilight help her out when you finish with the spell.” “Are you crazy!” argued Rarity, “You’re covered in burns and blisters all over and you expect us to heal you completely?!” I narrowed my eyes at them, “I know you can’t heal me completely but just do the best you can.” “Cerulean this is a crazy plan!” argued Twilight. I smiled, “Like Rainbow said, i’m a pretty crazy pony.” The two sighed and gave in, “You better know what you’re doing.” said Twilight. I nodded my head, “Same here...” The two did their spells and healed me the best they could. The spell Twilight performed was one that heals you over time. It takes a while to perform and can cost quite a bit of magic but Twilight has more than enough to perform it on all of us. For Rarity she performed the same spell that she used on me last night, it doesn’t do much but it can take away some of the pain. When they finished I was able to fly around and move freely but not too fast. I’m lucky enough to do a rainboom but i’m not risking it unless needed. “Thanks.” I said, “Lets go.” just before I could open the door the lights went out and the ground shook. There was a long moment of silence before a roar was heard from outside, my eyes widen and I kicked open the door, “Go now!” I ordered. Everypony ran out and we made our way for the exit, ponies everywhere were panicking and running everywhere. We stopped when we saw Nurse Redheart moving an injured patient to a safe room. She noticed us and was confused on how I was fine but shook her head and continued with the patient. Seconds later the ceiling collapsed and she was no longer seen. I rushed over to the fallen debri and bashed my hooves against it, “Ms. are you ok!” “Yes!” she responded, “I’ll be fine, you and the others make your way for the exit. Don’t worry about me, I can take care of myself.” I nodded my head, “Stay alive and see you soon.” I turned back around to the others, “Lets go.” “But what about the nurse?” questioned Pinkie. “She can take care of herself now go!” We made our for the exit and once we made it out we looked back, on top of the hospital was the same dragon that attacked Sweet Apple Acres. We all stopped as the dragon tore the building down and burned it to ashes. The only thing going through my mind was that Nurse Redheart made it out alive. I know she said she can take care of herself but... Moments later the dragon noticed us and growled at the fact we’re still alive. We wasted no time and ran for our lives. The dragon chased after us and was getting closer, we did our best to lose the beast but it was beginning to corner us. Then out of nowhere I heard Scootaloo and Fluttershy scream out my name. I thought they were behind me but they weren’t. They were being picked up by the dragon and were about to be eaten alive. “NO!” I screamed, turning around taking off after the beast, “YOU PUT THEM-” I entered rainboom speed and tackled the dragon to ground, making it release Fluttershy and Scootaloo, “DOWN!!” The beast fell and landed on a few trees, most were crushed but a few entered it's back and the beast wailed in pain and anger. In its rage the dragon’s tail smacked me, sending me hurling into a boulder. I was in immense pain but wasn’t done with him, I immediately jumped back up, screamed at the beast to get its attention, “Is that the best you can do!” The dragon responded in no time and charged after, I smiled and took off. I flew past him and around him, making him dizzy and more irritated. I turned to the others who were watching me, “Head to the trains!” I ordered, “I’ll keep him busy!” Everypony stared at me with shock, “Are you crazy!” argued Rainbow, “We’re not-” I cut her off, “Dammit will you just do what I say! Now go before you all die!” They all hesitated but did what I told them. One by one they ran off, away from the dragon I was distracting, only ones still around were my daughter and Fluttershy. “Go, I can’t keep him busy much longer!” I demanded. “But we can’t leave you!” screamed Scootaloo, “You promised you wouldn’t leave us!” cried Fluttershy. “I know what I said and i’m sorry I wasn’t able to keep my word on that but i’m following my oath.” I placed my hoof over my heart, “Protectors never go back on their word.” there was a long moment of silence, I began to tear up knowing what will happen next, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for me you two. I love you both and goodbye...” I took after them, swept them off the ground and threw them to Twilight who caught them with her magic. They both screamed at me for doing this but they know i’m doing the right thing. I gave them one last look, smiled and said thank you to them. I then turned around to the dragon who was staring at me looking fatigued now but still mad. I straightened up and let out a deep breathe, “Come on you dumb dragon.” I took off behind him, “Try to catch me!” I succeeded in luring him away from my family, I smiled knowing that I was able to keep my oath till the end. I was crying for what will happen but I know it won’t be in vain. Thank you everypony, for everything you all did for me. I truly cannot express my gratitude to you all and...I’m sorry I won’t be around much longer...Goodbye. Just as I was slowing down the dragon stopped suddenly and smiled, I was confused until I turned around and saw a group of dragons in front of me. They quickly surrounded me and were getting closer and closer. My body trembled in the horror but I held my ground and awaited for their next move knowing it would lead to my demise...
Chapter 4 Tornado RainboomChapter 4 The Tornado Rainboom Who would’ve thought i’d go out like this, being mauled alive by a group of dragons. To be honest I thought I would die by a manticore, hydra or timber wolves. Never did I once think of getting eaten by dragons, heh I guess everyone always have that last laugh before they meet their demise. Even if they don’t win or whatever they probably always have a laugh while letting out their last breath. As the group of scaled beasts came closer and closer my life began to replay itself in my mind. To when I was born, to when I found Fluttershy and to now. Everything was replayed to the last detail. Not one thing was left out, my only regret though...I won’t get to be around my friends anymore. I won’t get to see Scootaloo and her friends grow up, I won’t be with Fluttershy anymore, I won’t see my friends grow old and I won’t be around for when they need someone to protect to them. I then had a flashback of Rainbow Dash telling me about a move she’s been practicing, “I think i’ll call the rainboom tornado.” she said. I laughed, “Sounds plain.” “Just watch and be amazed by my awesomeness!” she took off and moments later plummeted to the ground in front of me, “Still working on it...” she said weakly. I rolled my eyes and helped her up, “You’re going to die if you keep it up at that rate I said, Maybe you need to speed up more.” I was then brought back to reality, “Well I might as well give it a try.” I said to myself, “What’s the worst that could happen, besides being eaten alive.” I flew up and readied myself, “You dragons want me! You gotta fight for me first!” I started flying in circles, increasing my speed as much as I could. My body was in pain and worn out from the previous events but i’m not giving up. For Fluttershy, Scootaloo and my friends, I will give it my all to the end. As I continued to speed up I entered rainboom speed but didn’t stop. I circled around but couldn’t get a vortex to form. I could see the dragons watching me with amusement thinking that this is will fail but i’m about to prove them wrong. I pushed myself harder and harder, used the pain I was in to go faster, ignored the need to stop. I only focused my mind on the speed. I soon realized that for this to work I had to go faster, beyond my limits. Beyond anypony’s limits, I had to enter mach 2 speed meaning, I had to perform a second rainboom...I wasn’t sure if this was possible but I digged deep and flew with all my might. I gave it my all, I was losing feeling in my wings but I forced them to flap hard. I didn’t care anymore whether I would die, I will succeed and save my family! Seconds later I created a second rainboom and flew even faster than before. I’ve never flew this fast before; I could barely keep myself in place or my eyes open. It felt like my body could just break apart from the strain I was in alone. I screamed as I could feel my skin breaking off and flesh flying away. Moment later I crashed into the ground, part of my wing missing and patches of skin missing too. I could hardly move, my body felt like it weighed a ton. I wasn’t sure what was going on as I heard screeching and roaring from behind but I was too exhausted to look back. I ended up blacking out once again and when I woke up I was being carried off to somewhere. I groaned and sat up, my body was so stiff it hurt to even breath. Suddenly everything stopped and a familiar pony walked over to me, she was a white mare with a pink mane and tail and had a red cross for a cutie mark. “Hard to believe you’re alive.” said Ms.Redheart with a laugh. I smiled weakly, “I’m hard to take down...” “I’ll say, can’t believe it was you who did that to.” she said proudly. I raised an eyebrow at her confusingly and painfully, “Did what?” “That tornado that got rid of the dragons!” she answered excitedly, “I’ve never seen anything like that!” “Um...I created a tornado that got rid of the dragons?” She nodded her head smiled brightly, “It was amazing! It had so many colors, it was a like rainbow tornado! What do you call it?” I couldn’t help but laugh at the fact I was able to do it, “...The Tornado Rainbow.” hope Dashie won’t be mad for me renaming her move. “Well it’s an amazing move to pull off but it can cost you dearly.” her excitement faded along with her smilel, “You lost a lot of blood and skin, you’re right wing is also broken. I had to use whatever I had to patch you up but i’m not sure if you’ll last much longer without proper care....” I shook my head, “You did your best and I thank you for that. I know i’m in no condition to move or anything but i’m going to the train station now. My friends could be waiting there.” “ARE YOU CRAZYING!” she said sounding angry, “You’re closer to death than before! You’re lucky to be alive Cerulean!” I shook my head again and forced myself up, “Whether i’m dieing or not I don’t care. I made them a promise and I won’t break it!” I began marching to the trainstation. “And what promise is so important that you’ll risk your life for?!” I paused for a second and turned to her, “Protecting the loved ones I care for deeply.” I placed my hoof over my chest, “Protectors oath.” I turned back around and continued marching forward until I dropped to the ground. I gritted my teeth in the pain but pushed onward until something stopped me. I turned around and saw Nurse Redheart holding my tail with her mouth, “Don’t make me buck you...” I said weakly. “I’m not going to stop you.” she said with a sigh, “I’m going to help you get to your friends.” she picked me up and steadied herself, “Train station right?” she asked. I nodded my, surprised she was able to carry to me, “I didn’t think you were this strong...” she laugh like it was joke, “I’ve carried ponies five times your weight, you’re like a feather to me.” I wasn’t sure if she was saying that because of the blood and skin loss but I let her do her thing and carry me to the station. As we walked through the destroyed street of Ponyville nothing but death and sorrow filled the streets. So many ponies were dead, burned, eaten, mauled, squished, toppled down, crushed and accidently killed by other ponies who weren’t careful with their sharp items. It was too much and I had to close my eyes as we passed by the dead bodies of the ponies I once knew. My only concern at the moment is that my dearest friends made it out ok. If they were killed...Then I have failed them... “So what’s your story?” asked Nurse Redheart, “Married to Fluttershy right? Good mare that pony is. Nice and pretty cute, i’d say you hit the jackpot.” she laughed quietly. “She’s not a prize...” I said angrily, “And we’re not married...” my face began to flourish with feelings. “Really? Huh well from what i’ve heard you two have been together for a while and had a foal named Scootaloo. I doubt that though, i’ve seen Scootaloo before you ever came by but nopony believes me.” “Well maybe you’ll believe me that we’re not married. We’re just um...Seeing how things go I guess...” I can’t believe I just said that. She turned to me with a smirk now, “I know what that means. Just taking nice and SLOW.” she gave me a wink and turned back, “Well at least she found a stallion willing to give his life for her.” I nodded my head, “Yeah she is...” I started to smile lightly, “Really lucky I found her...” “Found her? You mean like running into her?” asked Redheart. I realized what I said and turned red, “Um yeah, something like that...I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” She laughed again then stopped, “We’re here and it looks like your friends and SPECIAL friend are waiting for you.” I looked over and saw a few familiar looking ponies but my vision was blurred, possibly from the blood loss, “Can you walk me over to them?” I asked sincerely. She placed me down and put my arm around her, “You’re still my patient and we don’t leave our patients unattended.” she smiled, “Good luck and I hope to see you later on.” she began to lead me to the station, “HEY!” she called out, “YOU PONIES WAITING FOR CERULEAN?” “Yeah!” responded a country voice, “We’re holding the trains until he comes back. Ya know what happened to him?” “Who do you think she’s helping right now?” I said abruptly. There was a long silence before a yellow mare and purple foal came rushing towards me, they tackled me to the ground and immediately burst into tears, “You’re alive!” cried Fluttershy, “We thought you didn’t make it!” uttered Scootaloo while choking on her tears. It hurt to be tackled but I allowed them this time and swallowed the blood that I nearly spat out, “I-I missed you both too...” “I don’t mean to be rude but you might not wanna do that.” suggested Redheart, “He’s in a lot more pain than before and VERY close to death.” The two looked up and noticed part of my face was missing and covered in bandages, I looked away but only showed more of my wounds. They then looked down and saw parts of my body covered in gauze and a cast on my right wing. They were horrified at what they saw, i’m sure they’re both thinking how am I alive. I’m wondering that two. The others got a good look at me and Applejack and the other two young foals turned away. “W-what happened...” asked Fluttershy shakingly, not sure of herself whether she wants to know. I sighed heavily and stood up, “Did you guys see that rainbow tornado that got rid of the dragons?” they nodded their heads, “That was me...As you can all see doing that can cost you dearly.” I turned to Rainbow, “It’s not something I would recommend you do unless it's a dire situation and if you can make two rainbooms then you’ll be able to pull it off.” There was long pause, “So what you’re saying is that the move i’ve been working on...Could’ve killed me?” said Rainbow quietly. I nodded my head, “You could’ve possibly been blown to bits from the massive strain your body goes through. As of right now I can hardly breath without being in excruciating pain.” There was a another long pause, “So you’re saying you entered mach 2 speed...That’s over 1560 miles per hour!” said Twilight, “You’re lucky you just lost skin and broke a wing!” “I also lost a lot of blood.” I added, “From what Ms. Redheart told me I was a bloody mess...But the matter of the fact is, this is a very deadly move that nopony should do.” I turned to Rainbow, “I want you stop practicing that move and never mention it anypony. Understand?” Rainbow nodded her head, “I won’t tell anyone, Pinkie Promise!” I nodded my head and relaxed, “Now lets get back to business.” I turned to Ms. Redheart, “Why don’t you stay and help the wounded. They’ll need all the help they can get.” I turned back to my friends, “As for us we’re heading to Canterlot.” “But what about your wounds?” asked Rarity. “See if you both can heal me again, cast another heal over spell if you have to. Just do what you can and i’ll heal on my own.” They nodded their head, “I’ll let the trains mare know we’re ready to leave.” said Twilight leaving us and entering the train. “Lets get inside and rest up. I’m sure we’ve seen enough for one day.” I suggested. “Yeah you’re right about that.” said Ms. Redheart, “I’ll stay here and care for the wounded. As for you all get there safely, when you get back find me and let me know what’s going on. I’ll tell the rest. Also, see if you can bring some supplies, I fear we may have no more...” I nodded my head, “We’ll be sure to ask and thank you for saving me there.” I soluted her but smiled this time instead of looking angry, she soluted me back and smiled, “See you ponies later.” We said our goodbyes to Ms. Redheart and made our way to the train, once we were seated we immediately took off. Finally I could just relax and heal up for the time being, hopefully I could get some sleep too. “Um...Cerulean?” said Sweetie Belle walking over to me, “T-thank you...” “For what?” She teared up and wrapped her hooves around my legs, “For saving me!” she cried, “I thought I wouldn’t be able to see my sister or my friends again! I literally thought I was going to die!” she sobbed loudly over my leg, “I’ve never been so scared in my whole life!” I picked her up and held her closely, I patted her mane and shushed her, “I’m just keeping my promise. Like i’m going to let a dragon eat you alive in front of me. Same for your sister and the others. You’re my family and I watch over all of you.” I brought her closer to me, “I know you’re scared but you’re safe now.” I turned to Rarity, “Mind calming her down?” She nodded her head, “I don’t mind and...Thank you.” she walked over to me and kissed my cheek, “I thought I lost her for moment back there...” tears began rolling down her face, “Thank you.” she whispered before taking Sweetie Belle back to her seat and calming her down. She sang some random song that I couldn’t really make out, it sounded nice and it seemed to calm down the others. I smiled again, tried to ignore my pain and relax. At least for now we can rest and heal up. A lot has happened and I hope that Canterlot was not affected by this.
