Luna's moon shone dimly that night, for it was crescent; the stars were few, yet they illuminated enough light all to shine over all Equestria. A lone pegasus trotted through the night to a nearby inn on the outskirts of Ponyville. Few ponies knew this place, for it sat near the entrance of the Everfree. However, it would be against protocol if a Royal Guard were to be in a relationship with the one he defended (In the case of Shining Armour and Princess Cadence, the two had already been dating even before Shining Armour became a Royal Guard). And if Twilight's friends knew about her relationship with Flash, she would get mixed feelings from them, especially Applejack and Rarity, who teased her before when they first figured out that she had a crush on the young officer. She understood the difficulty of the situation, and so she decided to forgive Flash for his tardiness.
"Alright." replied Twilight with a smirked.
Flash smiled at her sudden change of attitude; the smirk on her face only meant that she was still willing to do what they had come here to do. Twilight Sparkle then leaned over to him, suggesting a kiss. Flash Sentry prepared his lips for the princess' kiss, but was surprised when she suddenly licked his lips and nose.
"Hey!" said Flash, startled at the sudden playfulness of his lover.
Without warning, Twilight pushed Flash down on the bed and continued licking his nose, kissing it a few times.
