The Mane Six were in Sugarcube Corner, chatting and giggling about the gossip flying around, sharing silly stories from whatever they had been doing, and all those goodies.
"And then I said, 'You call that cloud gathering? More like cotton ball gathering!'" Rainbow Dash said, slamming one hoof on the table. The six ponies around the table all giggled.
"Ooh! I should tell you all about the time I..." Pinkie Pie began, launching into a nonsensical story. The badinage continued from there.
"I had an idea! We should have a sleepover!" Twilight cried out suddenly.
"Why, that's a wonderful idea! We can have it at Carousel Boutique if you don't want to mess up the library!" Rarity offered.
"Oh, Rarity, that would be great!" Twilight said happily. It wasn't too hard to see why Rarity is the Element of Generosity.
"Well then, we can meet at about 8, what do you guys say?" Asked Rarity.
All ponies were in favor. After a quick goodbye, the six disbanded.
Twilight trotted around her room, levitating items into her bag after just a quick look at them. "Hmm, nah, not that, ooh, yes that! No, no..." She said decisively, then trotted through the rows of shelves, pulling in joke books, and books of scary stories. She spent the rest of the time lying in bed and studying. Eventually, 7:45 rolled around, and Twilight pulled on her saddlebags and set of for Carousel Boutique. Halfway through, she met up with Applejack and Fluttershy. "Hi Applejack! Hi Fluttershy!" She said cheerily. Before waiting for them to say hello back, she spoke again. "Are you excited?" She asked excitedly.
"Yeah, It's been a while since ah've been to a sleepover. Haven't had one since ah stayed with you and Rarity." Applejack responded. Twilight took note of the way she frowned slightly when she said Rarity.
"Oh, yes..." Fluttershy said in her quiet, shy voice.
"I'm really excited too!" Twilight said, her pace quickening. Eventually they arrived at Carousel Boutique, where the others were already waiting.
"Oh there you slowpokes are!" Rainbow Dash said, looking over at them.
"Y'know, some of us aren't super fast pegasi or have a close home!" Applejack scolded.
"Doesn't mean you have to be slow!" Rainbow said with a grin.
"Oh shut yer mouth Rainbow." Applejack said.
All three gathered around in the center of the room, in a circle. They were all wearing fuzzy pajamas, and Fluttershy was wearing white bunny slippers.
"Well, I brought puuu-uuunch!" Pinkie pie said excitedly, pulling a large purple bowl with a ladle in it out of seemingly nowhere.
"Oh, lovely!" Rarity said. They helped themselves to punch and told stories, which seemed to progressively make less and less sense. "Pinkie dear, did you put anything in this punch? It's absolutely splendiferous!" Rarity said, putting one arm around Pinkie.
"Sure did Rarity! It's my - hic - special secret ingredient!" Pinkie said with a wink.
"We should play Truth or Dare!" Twilight said suddenly.
"Truth or dare? Sounds - hic - fun!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
"Wooooooooooooooooooo!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I certainly will, certainly, Truth or Dare!" Rarity said.
"Ah'll certainly play some Truth or Dare with y'all!" Applejack declared.
"I'll play Truth or Dare! I mean, um if you're okay with that..." Fluttershy whispered.
"Ooookay! I'll go first!" Twilight said. "Applejack, I choose you! Truth or Dare!" She said mischievously.
"Uh, Dare?" Applejack said uncertainly.
"Ooookay, I dare you to... um... try to touch the back of your head with your hoof!" Twilight said after hesitating a moment to think.
"Sounds easy enough!" Applejack said boldly. She laid down, and stretched one leg behind her, pulling. It seemed as if she would make it, until there was a loud popping noise and Applejack yelped in surprise. "Yee-ow! MY LEG!" She screeched. Rainbow Dash pushed it back into place, and it clicked into position.
"Oooh, that's gotta hurt..." Pinkie pie said, wincing at the thought.
"Alright, I'll go next." Rarity said, interrupting them. "Alright, Rainbow Dash. Truth or Dare?" She asked.
"Uh, Dare, of course!" She said.
"Good. I dare you to fly outside and scream as loud as you can." Rarity said, smirking.
"Challenge Accepted!" Rainbow Dash said, and was out the door hardly a second later. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIYEEEEEEEEEEE!" She screamed. Birds flew out of the trees in panic, and somepony opened up a window and tossed a shoe at her.
"Go back t' bed ya little troublemaker!" Yelled someone.
Rainbow Dash flew inside, snickering.
"So, how was that?" Rarity asked slyly.
"It was... heh... awesome." Rainbow Dash said drunkenly.
"Alright, my turn!" Pinkie pie yelled. "I choose... Twilight! Truth or - hic - dare!"
"Dare!" She said simply.
"Okay! I - hic - dare you to draw a mustache on Rarity!" Pinkie Pie yelled.
Twilight spent the next five minutes trying to hold Rarity down long enough to give her a mustache.
"Ugh! Why I'll give you a mustache!" Rarity said furiously, and tackled her. In the end, both mares had scribbles all over over their faces.
"Um, guys? Guys? It's my turn." Fluttershy said quietly.
"HEY GUYS, FLUTTERSHY'S TURN!" Applejack yelled.
"Okay... well... Pinkie, Truth or Dare." She said quietly.
"Hmm, I wanna be different. Truth!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Okay... Do you think Big Mac is cute?" Fluttershy asked.
"Totally!" Pinkie said cheerily.
"WHAT?!" Applejack said. One eye twitched, but she didn't do anything.
"Alright, my turn!" Applejack shouted. "Rarity! Truth or Dare!" She said.
"Truth! I do NOT want my hooves dirty!" She said, sticking her snout in the air.
"Alright! Who do you like?" Applejack asked smugly.
"Trenderhoof, and you of all ponies should know!" Rarity said.
Applejack merely narrowed her eyes.
"WE HAVE HEARD THAT THERE IS A GAME OF TRUTH OR DARE GOING ON!" A voice suddenly bellowed.
Rarity ran outside, to find Princess Luna standing there, looking excited. "Well, uh, sure, Princess..." She said cautiously.
Princess Luna ran inside. "Oh boy! A sleepover! We have not had one of these in a thousand years!" She said excitedly.
"Well, I guess it's your turn, Luna." Twilight said, obviously shocked.
"Oh good! Rainbow Dash! Truth or Dare!" She yelled loudly.
"Daaaare!" She yelled bravely.
"Okay! We dare you to kiss Applejack!" Luna said, grinning slyly.
"Do what?!" She said.
"Kiss Applejack!" Luna responded cheerfully.
Everyone but AJ and Rainbow were laughing their plots off.
Quickly, Rainbow Dash pecked Applejack on the cheek. Applejack blushed madly.
"MY FANFICTION JUST CAME TRUE!" Fluttershy shouted gleefully.
While the group was still laughing, Twilight pulled Fluttershy aside. "You have a fanfic? Let me read it." She whispered urgently into her ear.
Fluttershy merely squealed with glee.
"I-I think I've had enough truth or dare." Applejack stammered.
