One Night At Crowler's (Part Two)

As the two walked down the hall, Mana and Spike were talking.

"Hey, what do you think could've caused the noises?" Spike asked.

"I don't know, it could've been those animatronics Mike talked about," Mana answered.

"Don't be ridiculous, how can robots move on their own will?"

"Well, in the Duel Monsters Spirit World..." As Spike heard her drone on about the place where she came from, something moved in the distance.

"Now Spike, I remember when I met the-"

SWOOSH!

"Mana, where did you go?" Oh great, now I have to find her, Spike thought. He entered a room that had several tables adorned with plates, streamers and turtle plushies.

"I see they're serving turtles today," he said with a sarcastic tone. All of a sudden, the power shut down.

"This world is rotten," Spike said in a monotonous tone.

"Great, somebody cues the children song that is turned creepy due to some lame monster or some serial killer," Spike said, unamused. Then, he felt something behind him. He turned around then...

"A tin rabbit has been chasing me around, and I haven't noticed it all this time? Great."

SCREECH!

"AHHHHH!!!"

Security Room, Warehouse

"Spike!" Mahado and Alexis exclaimed.

As they ran down the halls with Mahado using his staff to illuminate the way, they wondered where the female Spellcaster and the Dragon-blood were, Alexis couldn't help but feel down. First she lost her brother, and now she had lost her friend, despite the short period. He had stood there when she needed his help, and now he- *crumple*. She saw a piece of paper. She read it out loud, and it said:

If you want your friends back, meet us on stage.

Fazbear, haven't I heard that name before? Alexis wondered.

They reached the stage, only to find Foxy, Chica and Bonnie. Foxy was holding Mana, which made her teacher aim for the fox.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, remember that machines are immune to magic attacks," the red animatronic said.

"But they are vulnerable to fire," Burstinatrix said, as she prepared a Burstfire attack.

"It's, them..." Alexis said.

"What do you mean, 'Lexis?" the Warrior asked.

"It doesn't matter," the male Spellcaster said, before switching his attention to the animatronics. "Let Mana go."

"Here you go matey," Foxy said, tossing her towards her teacher.

"Mana!" He exclaimed, running towards her. Burstinatrix then proceeded to check her health.

"Her pulse is low, but she'll make it. Trying to face those machines with pure magic proved useless, and it also drained its fair part on her."

"Where's Spike?" Alexis asked.

"He's with the boss," Chica answered.

"Take us to him now!"

"Come this way," Bonnie said, as they walked off the stage. They headed to another part in the warehouse. Fellow readers, the warehouse is divided in several parts, one of them being the Pizzeria sector. They were headed towards the Main Room, where the most important stuff was stored. When they reached the room, they saw Freddy Fazbear himself, with Spike tied and unconscious.

"Hello Alexis, did you miss me?" Freddy Fazbear asked.

"Who are you, and how do you know my name?" She asked.

"It seems that you have forgotten, so let me take you down memory lane. We will duel, and if you lose I will devour his soul and take control of his body in order to accomplish my rebirth. If you win, you can take him back."

"Alexis, use this!" Burstinatrix threw her a classic Duel Disk that had red markings where the white was supposed to be. Freddy extended his right arm, and from it emerged a Duel Disk with the color of his exoskeleton.

"DUEL!"

"Ladies first," Freddy said in a mocking tone.

1. Alexis

"Alright, I'll start off with Cyber Blader in Attack Mode (1400 ATK)! I'll end my turn by playing a face-down," Alexis said.

1. Freddy

On contraire to Alexis, Freddy had a calm attitude at the moment.

"It's party time, and I'll start off by summoning Gimmick Puppet Humpty Dumpty in Attack Mode (0 ATK). Due to my puppet's effect, if it is Normal or Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a 'Gimmick Puppet from my hand, and I choose Gimmick Puppet Scarecrow, in Attack Mode (500 ATK). That is all for now."

Gimmick Puppets? Alexis asked herself mentally. Doesn't matter, I need to defeat him.

1. Alexis

"I'll summon Cyber Tutu in Attack Mode (1000 ATK). Cyber Skater, attack with Skate Blade Slash!"

"I'm afraid not. You see, when my Scarecrow is targeted for an attack and it is in Attack Mode, it is switched to Defense Mode (2000 DEF) and no other face-up monsters can be targeted for attacks as long as he's on the field."

1. Freddy

"I'll end my turn by setting a face-down."

1. Alexis

He must be a strategy duelist, for his monsters may be weak, but they swarm and evade. I won't let that stop me. "I'll activate Raigeki Break! Here's how it works: by discarding a card from my hand, I can destroy a card on the field, and I choose your Gimmick Puppet Scarecrow!"

"Curse you," Freddy said.

"Next, I'll summon Etoile Cyber in Attack Mode (1200 ATK)! Now Cyber Tutu, attack that Humpty Dumpty with Pounding Pirouette! Now that you have no monsters on the field, I'll attack you with my Etoile Cyber!"

"You fool, by destroying my Humpty Dumpty, I got a material to Special Summon my Gimmick Puppet Twilight Joker in Defense Mode (1600 DEF), and all at the cost of removing from play a monster from my Graveyard, and I choose my Humpty Dumpty!"

"I'll end my turn."

1. Freddy

"I'll Summon Gimmick Puppet Scissor Arms in Attack Mode (1200 ATK), and then-"

"I activate a Trap, Trap Hole! Now your Gimmick Puppet Scissor Arms is destroyed!" Alexis countered.

"I'll end my turn by activating my face-down, Junk Puppet. This lets me Special Summon a 'Gimmick Puppet' from my Graveyard, and no better puppet than my Scarecrow in Defense Mode. With that, I end my turn."

1. Alexis

Polymerization? Great, she thought.

"I'll activate Polymerization! By fusioning my Cyber Blader with my Etoile Cyber, I can summon my Cyber Blader, in Attack Mode (2100 ATK)! Since there are two monsters on your side of the field, the attack of my Blader is doubled (2100 ---> 4200). Cyber Blader, attack that Scarecrow with Whirlwind Blade! Since my Cyber Tutu's attack is lower than your Twilight Joker's Defense, I'll end my turn with a face-down."

1. Freddy

"I'll Special Summon Gimmick Puppet Magnet Doll in Defense Mode (1000 DEF), and set a face-down."

1. Alexis

"Go Cyber Blader, attack that Twilight Joker! Now that he's gone, I'll end my turn with a face-down."

1. Freddy

"My draw, and I couldn't have asked for a better draw. I'll activate my face-down, Trade-In! By discarding a Level 8 monster, I can draw two cards. Then, I'll Summon Gimmick Puppet Gear Changer, in Attack Mode (100 ATK). Go, 'Gear Up' to Magnet Doll's level, Level 8! Then, by removing my Twilight Joker from my Graveyard, I can Special Summon Gimmick Puppet Dreary Doll, in Attack Mode (0 ATK). Now that I have three Level 8 monsters on my side of the field, I can tribute them to Xyz Summon..."

Xyz Summon? Alexis asked herself.

"Number 88, Gimmick Puppet of Leo, in Attack Mode (3200 ATK)!"

"What is this 'Xyz' Monster? I haven't heard of it!"

"You see Alexis, my deck and I come from twenty years into the future, and Xyz monsters are very popular in that time. The monsters used for the Xyz Summoning are Xyz Materials. Speaking of, I will activate my Leo's effect. Go, Destiny Countdown!"

A small sphere of light appeared, and then was absorbed into Leo's Sword.

"Since you don't remember us, I will make you remember," Freddy said, as her mind was sent back...

Flashback

"Happy birthday Alexis!" Several kids exclaimed, when she crossed the doors.

"Thank you everybody!" She answered.

The party was full of games, until the time to cut the cake came.

"... Happy Birthday to You... Yay!" The kids exclaimed, while they waited for the cake. Out of nowhere, Foxy, who was in a better condition back then, went to give them the cake. Then, they proceeded to let Foxy blow the candles, all because Alexis wanted to. But, instead of blowing the candles, 'the bite' occurred. Kids were screaming, adults panicked, what had been a joyful birthday party was now a catastrophic event. Alexis stood there, skeptical, seeing the unfortunate kid. Immediately, several of the employees went to bash Foxy, and the results were the injuries he now had...

Flashback End.

"Do you know remember us, ''Lexie'?" Freddy asked.

"It, it can't be..." Alexis said, frightened.

"It is, for your nightmare is true. Sadly, since I used Leo's effect, I will have to skip my Battle Phase this turn."

1. Alexis

"Um, I'll summon Cyber Petit Angel in Defense Mode (200 DEF). Its effect allows me to add a 'Cyber Angel Ritual' to my hand. I'll end my turn by switching my Cyber Tutu and my Cyber Blader to Defense Mode (800 DEF each)," she said, with fear in her voice.

"She's scared of him, so scared..." Burstinatrix said.

"... That she is switching her monsters to Defense Mode, as if she were crawling into a corner and waiting for it to end, but I feel like it's going to get worse..." Mahado said.

1. Freddy

"I'll activate the second Destiny Counter, but before I end my turn, I want you to see how terrible of a person you are...

Rhodes Manor

"*sigh* I love these kind of days 'Lexie, especially when- oh no." A dark meteor crashed the ground, and instead of leaving a crater, it left a dark abysm, and Alexis was hanging onto the edge, with her brother Atticus holding onto her hand. Sadly, some purple blob creatures were on his legs, and they were starting to climb up on him.

"Attie-"

"Alexis, Alexis. Look at me, you've got to let me go."

"No, I can do this, I can do this."

"Listen, we cannot let these things get to you too. I am so proud of you."

"No, no, Attie don't" she said, not wanting to believe what she thought was going to happen.

"I love you sis," he said, before letting go and falling to the depths of darkness.

"NOOOO!!!!!"

"It's my fault that he's gone, I couldn't protect myself, so I couldn't, and still can't, protect anyone else," Alexis said. She was now on her knees, with tears in her eyes and her morale low. Mahado and Burstinatrix were pained to see her like this. Mahado was pained since it reminded him of the time he had to let himself die, only to become stronger. The part that pained him was his student's feelings after she found out about the incident. Burstinatrix was saddened since it reminded her of how she was suddenly taken out, and how she ended up here.

"Hello Alexis," said a strange man. This man had white hair, and as his attire he wore some jeans and a striped shirt.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"You wouldn't believe me, but I am Ryu Bakura, friend of Yugi Muto."

"What are you doing here?"

"I am sent to end the chaos that runs in peoples' minds. The reason is to avoid others from suffering what I had to suffer. Take this card, get up, wipe those tears away and fight for your friend. Don't let the machines beat you, or else we'll be seeing a second Skynet. Now if you'll excuse me, there's a mare who I have to comfort, for time ago she lost her son, who is the one you're fighting for," Bakura said, while fading away.

Was he talking about Spike? she asked herself, while she looked at the card: it was an attacking Gogiga Gagagigo, but was being stopped by Marauding Captain, who was defending Freed the Matchless General. Meanwhile, Gogiga was carrying Invader of Darkness and Inpachi.

"I may have lost my brother, but I will not lose my friend!" Alexis yelled. "My draw!"

1. Alexis

"Hmph, I got a good draw. First, I'll activate Earthquake, which switches all face-up monsters to Defense Mode. Then, I'll Summon Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, and with its effect I can add a Ritual Spell or Monster, and I choose my Cyber Angel Benten! Now, by playing Cyber Angel Ritual, by tributing Manju and my Cyber Petit Angel, I will Ritual Summon the Cyber Angel Benten I got due to Manju's effect, in Attack Mode (1800 ATK)!"

"Ha, as if it could take my Gimmick Puppet down," Fazbear said.

"I summoned her to put my Spell Card to use, and that Spell Card is Fusion Sword Murasame Blade! With it, my Cyber Angel Benten gains 800 Attack Points (1800 ---> 2600), more than enough to defeat Leo, but before attacking, I'll switch both my Cyber Tutu and my Cyber Blader to Attack Mode! Now Benten, attack that puppet with Angelic Sword Turn! Since my Cyber Angel destroyed a Defense Position monster, you lose Life Points equal to the destroyed monster's Defense! Go, Angelic Turn Aftermath!

"Ack!" Freddy exclaimed, while his face came off, and parts of him were severely damaged (Freddy's LP: 4000 - 2300 = 1700). Alexis, on behalf of the child, her brother, Mana and Spike, said the following:

"Yeah, I'm told that hurts. Go, Cyber Tutu and Cyber Blader..." the Blader, the Ballerina and the duelist exclaimed at the same time, while the first two attacked:

"WHIRLWIND PIROUETTE BLADE!!!"

"NOOOOO!!!!!" Freddy exclaimed, as he was obliterated.

"I beat him fairly, now give me my friend back," Alexis said, directing her attention to the animatronics. Strangely, each animatronic was faintly glowing, and as the glow got brighter, they were being levitated. Finally, the light was so intense that Alexis and the others had to cover their eyes. When the three former accomplices of Freddy reached the ground, they were humans. Bonnie was a male teen of Alexis's age who had short purple hair, a white dress shirt with a red bow tie, a purple jacket and some black pants. Chica had short yellow hair, a short-sleeved orange button shirt, black skirt, orange Vans and Spike's age. Last but not least was Foxy, who had red hair that went past his shoulders, a red long-sleeved shirt, pants of the color of red wine, black boots and he stood in a wheelchair. He had the looks of Atticus's age.

"What happened?" Mahado asked.

"By defeating our boss, you freed us," Bonnie said.

"I'm hungry..." Chica said.

"You're always hungry, Chica," Foxy answered in a proper British accent.

"It doesn't matter, let's take him to his room, the shift is over, and today is Saturday," Bonnie insisted.

One walk later...

"Ugh, where am I?" Spike asked, while he gained consciousness.

"You're in your room, silly," Chica said, before proceeding to eat a slice of pizza.

"Who are you?"

That's Chica from the warehouse," Alexis answered.

"Makes sense, but how did it-"

"Your friend over there defeated Freddy and freed Bonnie, Chica and I from his grip laddie," Foxy answered.

"All in all, Alexis was a savior to us," Bonnie finished.

"My question is, how do we break it to Crowler?" Spike asked.

"We've got it," Chica said, with an evil smile.

Dr. Crowler's Office

Sunday, 12:00 A.M.

"Oh, I'll enjoy being here without that Slifer," Crowler said, until the eerie music was heard. "What? This could only mean..."

SCREECH!

"AHHHHH!!!!!"

Sunday, 7:50 P.M.

Spike was currently escorting Alexis to her dorm, and he couldn't feel any better. Despite being kidnapped by several animatronics, Alexis had successfully rescued him. They reached the dorm, and Spike said:

"Well, we're here."

"Yeah, I guess," Alexis said in return.

"Um, listen Alexis, I was wondering if sometime you would like to go out and spend some quality time together, because the only time we've spent together was either dueling each other or saving one another."

"Sure, why not?"

"Cool," he said, as he began to walk away. "Hey, Alexis?"

"Yeah?" He walked back to her, gave her a kiss on the cheek, and wrapped his arms around her.

"Thank you for saving me back there, I am in debt to you and your actions."

"Hey," she said, while resting a hand on his head, before continuing, "we're friends, that's what we do. Besides, my brother would've been proud if he were here. I was on the brink of letting fear control me, but a man named Bakura told me to persevere."

"Then they must've been good people."

"Yes, especially my brother..." Alexis said, as her eyes began to fill with tears.

"Please don't cry, eyes as beautiful as yours don't deserve to have tears in them."

"Thanks, now if you'll excuse me, I have to get ready for tomorrow," she said, as she went to her room.

I must do something to bring a smile to her face, but what? Bakura, Atticus, your memory will remain alive one way or another... That's it! he thought to himself. He walked until he found Dorothy.

"Hey Dorothy, could you get me some spray paint of the following colors?"

Obelisk Cafeteria, Monday 7:00 A.M.

Crowler stood in a Chica suit (without the exoskeleton), as Chica, Bonnie and Foxy took pictures of him while the Obelisks were laughing. Alexis stood there, with Jasmine and Mindy, puzzled at how that happened. Then, Chica saw Alexis. She told her two male friends to stop mocking Crowler.

"Hey 'Lex, someone special left this for you," Bonnie said, as he, Chica and Foxy walked to a wall, where part of it was covered with a white sheet. The three proceeded to remove the sheet, and what Alexis saw amazed her: it was a spray-painted mural of Atticus and Bakura. Bakura stood on the right with wings similar to that of Change of Heart, while Atticus stood with an armor that resembled the Red Eyes Black Dragon, and a sword that seemed to pierce the sky. In the center was the following text:

Atticus and Bakura, wherever you two are, we wish for your safety.

- The Dragon-blood and his friends.

"I love you brother," Alexis said, in a whisper. Meanwhile, from the window, Spike saw how a smile was formed upon Alexis's face. His newfound duty was to make sure Alexis wasn't sad, for her brother wasn't there to help her anymore, and in exchange, she would bring a smile to his face when needed.
