A Conclusion

~~~~~A Mission~~~~~

      Lowell was stumbling home alone after having some drinks with Glistening, he opened the front door to find Applejack was reading a book as she raised and eyebrow at the drunken stallion.

“..H-h-hey Jackie!”Lowell said as he stumbled over to the chair and leaned on it some.

“Where have yah been? Yah missed dinner..”Applejack asked as she sets the book aside.

“....Sorry... *Hic*.....I...got no...excuse...just..Me and Glistening...were drinking......pretty mare...”Lowell muttered smiling a bit at the mare.

“Ahn yah did'n tell me?”Applejack said sounding a bit upset as she put down her book and stood up.

“....Well, it was just me and Glistening.....I didn't know we were.. s-sorry...*Hic*..”Lowell muttered as he leaned against the mare with his ears flatten.

“Yer not gettin' off the hook this easily.”Applejack scowled as she moved away obviously annoyed with him.

     He hung his head a bit and slowly went up stairs only to pass out half way up them, Applejack grumbled angrily and picked him up, slinging him over her shoulder and carrying him upstairs. She placed him on the bed and lied down next to him, the stallion rolled over resting his head against her arm. She sighed and wrapped her arms around the stallion, holding him before drifting off to sleep.

~~ Morning~~~

Applejack was downstairs cooking pancakes, while the stallion was curled up some fast asleep still.

“Lowell!!!!”Applejack yelled from the kitchen as he slowly sat up and groaned.

“I-I'm up Jackie!”Lowell called back as he slowly climbed out of bed and got dressed rubbing the side of his head.

“Get down here yah hungover stallion! Breakfast is ready!”Applejack called out as he made his way down stairs gently rubbing his temples.

There was a knock at the door.

“Lowell, go answer the door.”Applejack said as she was carrying a plate of pancakes.

“Okie.”Lowell answered as he was about to pass Applejack the door opened as Daring walked in wearing a brown suit with a black fedora.

Applejack quickly saluted sending pancakes flying.

“Applejack I told you don't have too.....uh..”Daring said as she looked over at Lowell who had a plate on his head and covered in syrup.

Lowell slowly looked at Applejack who slowly lowered her hand and fought back laughter.

“Sorry sugarcube... It's ah habit.”Applejack explained as Lowell rolled his eye some.

“Eh...I'll go get cleaned up.”Lowell reassured as he wiped his face off some and went up stairs.

“What bring yah here this early in tha morin' boss?”Applejack asked the other mare who was grinning as Applejack started to clean up the mess.

“Well in a couple of months there's going to be a meeting of well....Ambassadors over in Canterlot and they want some extra help...So I'm going to send you and Lowell there when its time...That is if he agrees...”Daring explained as she rolled her eyes.

“Who?”Applejack asked as an old stallion walked in with a book of some kind wearing some sort of royal purple robes that had Celestia's sun on it.

“....The royal adviser has to 'pass' you guys....” Daring said as she shrugged.

“Ah.. Ok... Well Howdy!”Applejack greeted as she held out her hand.

“You told there was two of them here......Where's the other?”The old stallion asked.

“Have fun...Tell me how it turns out....”Daring replied as she left.

“Lowell is upstairs.... He'll be down in ah second.”Applejack assured as she had a fake grin plastered onto her face looking to the stairs.

“Lowell, we have a guest! Get down here!”Applejack called out as the stallion crossed his arms as Lowell was walking down stairs putting on a shirt.

“Hey fancy robe....Who's the old tot?”Lowell asked as he looked at the old stallion.

Applejack glared at Lowell some.

“This guy will be examining us to see if we are fit enough ta help out with guarding some royal ponies or somethin'.”Applejack whispered as she elbowed Lowell.

“Ooookay?”Lowell answered as he smiled a bit.

“Applejack and Lowell......Honesty and Winged......Now I'll talk with each of you separately...The mare first.”The stallion asked as he walked off to the kitchen.

“Shout marco if he tries anything.”Lowell joked as he smiled, earning an eye roll from the mare as walked towards the kitchen looking serious.

“Now...Tell me about your partner truthfully.....I want a pair that can work together.....and not randomly bicker....”The stallion explained as he sat down looking at the mare.

“Me ahn Lowell?....When it come ta work we usually work together like ah well oiled machine.”Applejack replied smiling some as she sat down as well.

“I heard that before.....And saw some chaos.....How would you say,..under pressure?”The stallion asked as he pulled out a notepad.

“Under pressure?...Sir Ah was locked up in ah cage by Iron Hoof and Lowell ahn another agent were able ta free us an keep calm. Ah've gone up against some crazy things sir ahn was able ta keep calm. Give us somehtin' ta protect ahn we'll protect it drama free.”Applejack explained as she gave a bit of a salute.

“Any anger issues?”The stallion asked as she wrote something down.

“As long as there is no fillies gettin' hurt around, none at all.”Applejack explained as she looked down some.

“Why?”The stallion questioned as he raised an eyebrow.

“Well, he's kindah blows up when ah stallion or ahn adult were ta hurt ah filly... Or his family... But that's 'bout it...”Applejack replied as she rubbed her arm some.

“I see....Is he any good with a rifle?”The stallion asked as he looked to the mare who rolled her eyes.

“Yeah. He likes guns.”Applejack answered as she crossed her arms some.

The stallion was writing down some things.

“No have you two had dealings with a pony named Brightie? The one who recently escaped.”The stallion asked as Applejack blinked.

“No.. But Ah know the pony who broke her nose and caught her... Mare-Do-Well...”Applejack replied as she tilted her head some.

“Last couple of questions.....Does he like to show off?”The stallion asked tilting his head to the mare.

“No... Not really....He is very strange and random though...”Applejack replied as she smiled a bit.

“I see.....Now last one does he sell out anypony?”The stallion asked.

“Do yah mean can he keep ah secret?”Applejack questioned as she adjusted her stetson.

“Sort of I mean like would he sell out any pony for bits?”The stallion asked again.

“No.. Lowell is loyal... No matter what...”Applejack answered as she smiled.

“That's good, you can send him in on your way out...”The stallion said as Applejack walked out and looked at Lowell.

“Yer turn.”Applejack said as she smiled at him.

“Right.”Lowell replied as he walked in and sat down.

“What's up old tot?”Lowell asked as he grinned.

The stallion raised his eyebrow.

“I have a few questions for you about your partner.”The stallion answered.

“I'm an open book....*he smirked*.....Unless its about our ear nibblin...or..her helping me preen then none of that....”Lowell answered with a grin.

“Number one.....Is she reliable when under pressure?”The stallion asked as Lowell blinked.

“Totally man, she managed to keep her self calm along with Rainbow Dash and all the fillies back when Hoofie took them...”Lowell answered as he sat down in a chair.

“Is she easily angered?”The stallion asked as he wrote something down.

“Eh no....Well unless I do something stupid but that only angers her towards me but no not easily...”Lowell answered as he chuckled to himself.

“Hmm.....can she be serious when she needs to be?”The stallion questioned as Lowell stared at him in disbelief.

“Yea, she can be she does it to the letter man....5 in the morning daily chores and apple bucking.”Lowell answered as he smiled.

“Final question....What's her main weapon?”The stallion asked.

“Either her Winchester or a shotgun.”Lowell answered plainly.

“That's all I need.”The stallion replied as he got up.

“......Okie then....”Lowell said as he only blinked.

Applejack only blinked taking a sip of coffee.

“What a strange old coot.”Lowell said as he smiled and sat beside her as Daring walked back in.

Applejack stood up and resisted the urge to salute, Lowell on the other hand smiled as he looked at the apple mare.

“Anyway, he told me you two got the job you got a couple of months before it happens.....And it will only be you two...Lightning and Rainbow are busy doing something with Twilight....”Daring explained as Applejack tilted her head.

“Helpin' her with what?”Applejack asked as Daring shrugged.

“I don't know they never told me...”Daring answered as Lowell perked up.

“I bet its a secret thing of secrets!”Lowell replied as he smiled.

“That or they're jus' talkin' to Twilight 'bout somethin'.”Applejack said deadpanned and glared at Lowell.

Daring only smirked watching them.

“Nah nah nah, they are plotting a take over.....I feel it in my feathers...or...that's your shoulder cause I'm leaning against ya...”Lowell said as he smiled at Applejack.

“What would they're talkin' to Twi 'bout?”Applejack asked as she rolled her eyes.

“Dun know......Maybe something.....About something...”Lowell answered as he blinked.

“I'll warn you Applejack before it starts.....Not sure on your boy here to not lose it...”Daring said as she smiled.

“Eeyup..”Applejack replied as Lowell was pulling out his phone.

“I got a plan.....”Lowell muttered as he dialed Lightning's number.

Lightning picked up her phone.

“Yuppers?”Lightning greeted.

“Hey can I borrow your MDW outfit for a mission in a couple of months?”Lowell asked with a smile.

“Uhh why?”Lightning questioned as she raised an eyebrow.

“I has a plan.”Lowell answered as he grinned to himself.

“Tell me your plan. My Mare-Do-Well outfit is a part of me. I hardly let Dash wear it.”Lightning replied.

“Okay look.....I have a plan cause I got a feeling that well....Brightie will behind something to do with a meeting of higher-ups …”Lowell explained as he tilted his head some.

“Whens this meeting? I wanna kick her flank.”Lightning growled.

“Nah nah nah..the meeting is of the ambassadors for leaders of governments.....It's part of the charm of what I got planned.....Cause if she gets away.....She technically doesn't know who MDW is...”Lowell replied.

“B-but... Lowell... I don't think you understand the hate I have for that pony... She knows my face... At least I think...”Lightning answered as she sighed.

“From the reports it says MDW arrested her and since you never did take off the outfit back then.....Trust me....If she gets the mask off she will be surprised.”Lowell said as he chuckled.

“You better hope she doesn't. I'm certain she's seen my face before. I threw off my mask when I saw Rainbow Dash....so Dashie would know it's me.”Lightning replied.

“Have a lil faith.....I make a good plan sometimes.”Lowell answered as he scrunched his nose up some.

“You get one tear and you won't be able to sit straight for weeks you hear me.”Lightning warned as Lowell gulped a bit.

“No promises... I'll try Light..”Lowell assured and chuckled nervously.

“Come pick it up when you want.. You get the spare suit...”Lightning said as she sighed.

“Thanks. Later Light.”Lowell said before he hung up the phone.

“Right that's one part down.”Lowell said as he smiled at Applejack.

“What has that ahbout?”APplejack as she raised an eyebrow.

“......Look call me crazy but IF Brightie has something to do with the meeting and if she spots a certain pegasus wearing the outfit.......That would divert her attention to me, plus if she is there I would want to know why...”Lowell explained as he crossed his arms.

“Lightnin's lettin' yah use her Mare-Do-Well custom isn't she?”Applejack asked.

“Yup I just asked...The spare one atleast.”Lowell replied as he grinned.

“Aint that the one she let Rainbow use for Halloween?”Applejack questioned.

“I think, look all I need is the looks. Trust me if she is there and comes after me that means you and the rest will only gotta worry about those helping her...”Lowell replied as he chuckled

Applejack only answered with a nod.

“.......Figured ya would have gone against it...”Lowell muttered as he shrugged a bit.

“Well, yer goin' to pretend ta be a mare...*she chuckled*....Ah jus' found somethin' ta hold against yah.”Applejack said with a devious grin.

“Oh please...*he smirked*.....I make a convincing mare thanks to my body shape...All I'm missing is the breast buuut I got a plan to cover that up.”Lowell answered with a confident grin.

“Don' yah dare use apples...”Applejack said as she grinned.

“Oh no, I'm using water balloons!”Lowell replied as he chuckled.

“Oh that's... Actually smart...”Applejack said as she blinked.

“I can be smart when I want too Jackie.”Lowell said as he took her hand and pulled her close.

“I got crazy smarts...”Lowell whispered with a grin.

“Just hope Brightie doesn't try ta punch yah.”Applejack whispered back as she smirked.

“I can do it........My crazyness can defy logic at times...”Lowell chuckled softly resting his forehead agaisnt hers.

“Whatever Yah saaaay.”Applejack teased as she smiled.

“Oi its true......I managed to get the most hard working mare/ most beautiful mare/ best mother that any foal would love......uh..*he blinked*....Well you get the picture.”Lowell said as he blushed a bit.

“Ah do.”Applejack replied as she chuckled and hugged him.

He wrapped his arms around the mare and kissed the top of her head.

“...Hey Jackie...You know what we should do after a few years...”Lowell said as he brushed his hand thru her mane.

“What should we do after ah few years?”Applejack as she looked up at him.

“Retire from being agents.”Lowell said as he gently rubbed her back some.

“Ah don' know Lowell.”Applejack replied as she looked to the floor.

“Come on think of it! In just a few years..It can just be me...You and our family...No ESPS calls....*he lightly placed his hand onto her cheek*.......and you won't have to worry when I'm sent out on solo missions....Like I worry for you when you do...”Lowell said as he watched the mare.

“Maybe.”Applejack muttered as she looked at him.

“I won't force you Jackie.”Lowell whispered as he rested his head on top of hers.

“Ah know yah won't sugarcube.”Applejack whispered back.

“How about...I retire when you do?”Lowell asked as he looked down at her.

“Yah retire when yah feel like it sugarcube.”Applejack replied as she smiled softly.

“I want us to retire together.”Lowell said as he gently kissed her forehead.

Okay then...In ah few years...”Applejack replied as something hugged the mare's leg.

Her ears perked and she looked down at the foal who was hugging her legs.

“Mama!”Golden Apple exclaimed as he smiled up at his mother.

“How does he do that?”Lowell asked as he chuckled.

“Ah don' know..”Applejack said as she chuckled and picked up the colt.

He smiled softly and watched them as the colt hugged his mother's arm.

“Someponies growin' up.”Applejack said as she smiled down at the colt.

“Yea...he is.....”Lowell replied as he crossed his arms and smiled at them.

She nuzzled the colt and handed him to Lowell.

He took the colt as the colt blew raspberries at him.

“Yup...That's me...Your dad.”Lowell muttered as he smiled a bit and cradled the colt.

She chuckled softly as he looked at the mare and smiled.

“Our lil Apple is growing up....”Lowell whispered and chuckled.

“Yeah.. Sooner or later he'll be off at school...”Applejack said as she gently pets the colt's head.

“Yea. alone time....With a certain mare...*he smiled*.....So I can cuddle and hug her allllll day.”Lowell said as he chuckled lightly.

“Until she has farm work to do.”Applejack replied as she smirked.

“Well, then I would help that mare of course.”Lowell whispered as he leaned over and kissed her lips.

“Apple!”The colt exclaimed tugging at his father's shirt.

Applejack lightly chuckled at the colt as Lowell grinned.

“We should dress him up as an apple next Nightmare Night.”Lowell said as he chuckled at the idea.

“Yes, we should.”Applejack replied as she smiled and rolled her eyes.

“Just a cute lil apple that blows raspberries at ya!”Lowell exclaimed as he smirked and held up the colt.

“Darn cutest apple ever.”Applejack said as she chuckled.

“He gets it from his mother...The cuteness.”Lowell teased as he grinned.

She blushed some and smiled.

“If yah say so..”Applejack muttered as she rolled her eyes.

“I do...He got your nose scrunchingness.”Lowell teased again as he chuckled.

He wrapped a free arm around the mare's waist as she returned by nuzzling him.

A mission would it be just like any others or will it change some things?
