Crim awoke to the moon still up, but she could tell it was gonna set soon. She hopped outta bed and made her way to her mirror. She blinked, and said to no one in particular,
"Looks fine to me."
She made her way to the kitchen where there was a bowl of fruit sitting on the counter. She sucked a couple apples dry, and went to the fridge to start preparing her lunch. In case you didn't know, Crim is a fiery orange coat, and a Crimson red mane, and eyes to match. She dons a pair of green glasses, and has a condition that makes her unable to feel pain. She lives with her older sister, Arsonya, and goes to the only elementary school in Ponyville. She used to be homeschooled, but this year she decided to try an actual school. She opened it up, and started grabbing some jam, juice boxes, and an apple before she closed the door and set it all out on the countertop. She grabbed some peanut butter and the bread, along with a knife. She made her sandwich, then put it in a little bag. After she finished that, she put it all in her navy blue lunch box. She grabbed her saddlebags, put the lunch box in it, then put it on. After that, she walked out the door and began walking to school. She trotted along the dirt road, the moon just beginning to set. She turned right, and finally saw her destination.
Crim trotted up to the empty schoolyard, excited for another day of school. She gallpoed all the way to the swings, and rested her saddlebags by them. She swang for almost 20 minutes by the time all the other schoolfoals showed up. She was ignored, but she didn't mind. Besides she was the only one on or near the swings. She jumped off, using her leathery batwings to soar to the ground.
She walked down a path that lead around the playground, and looked at all the other schoolfoals. As she neared the school, a couple of foals neared her, and started asking her questions. She's slightly uncomfortable, as she doesn't like crowds. Then, two fillies stepped forward. A pink earth pony with a pink coat and tiara, and a grey earth pony with blue glasses and a silver mane.
"What'cha doin, blank flank?" Crim looked towards the voices owner. It was the pink earth pony. Crim smiled.
"Hi, I'm Crimson Fang, but you can call me Crim. Who are you?" The pink pony blinked.
"I just insulted you. Are you too stupid to get an insult?" Her grey friend laughed.
"No, I just don't take it to heart. I like your tiara." The grey one finally notices that there's something off about Crimson.
"Are you a batpony?" Crim blushed, and said,
"Yeah... Is that bad?"
The pink one spoke up again.
"Wow, you're not only a blank flank, but you're such a weirdo." Her crony laughs.
"Well, bye then." Crim starts to walk back to the swings, when she feels something grab her tail, and pull her down.
"You can't just walk off! Fight back!"
Crim feels a hoof connect with her face, and hears a voice.
"Diamond Tiara! What are you doing!?"
Crim looked up to see who she guessed was the teacher, who pulled Diamond off of Crim. The bell rung, and the students filed inside the class room. Crim set her stuff in an empty seat near the back, and sat down. The teacher walked in, and said,
"Ok class, today we have a new student, and I want you all to treat her nicely." She motions for Crim to walk up. She hops out of her seat, and make her way up front. The pony who she learned was named Silver Spoon, stuck out a hoof and tripped her. Crimson fell on her face, her muzzle bleeding. She didn't notice and walked up to the front of the room. She felt her face a bit wet and warm, and rubbed it off. She then smiled and said,
"Hi, I'm Crimson Fang, but you can call me Crim." The other students looked amazed or slightly uncomfortable as she made her way back to her seat. The teacher began that days lesson soon after.
The bell rang as the clock struck exactly three-thirty in the afternoon, and Crim started to put her stuff into her saddle bags. She was the first one out the doors, and started walking down the path that lead down the hill. Her sister wouldn't be home soon, and she wasn't in any hurry. Crim trotted into town, wondering if Pinkie would be able to spare a cupcake or two. As she trotted, she waved to one of the Cutiemark Crusaders, Applebloom, who was trying to help her sister sell some apples. She eventually rounded the corner to Sugarcube Corner, to see Pinkie hovering over a pegasus. No, wait, a unicorn. Wait, it was an alicorn.
Seen weirder.
She was about to trot up to the cotton candy maned pony, but the alicorn filly woke up. Pinkie greeted her, and was greeted back. With a hoof to the face. Crimson blinked, not expecting that. Sure, Pinkie can be annoying and surprising at times, but that was just... A bit overdoing it. Crim carefully trotted over, not wanting to set the alicorn filly off any more than she already was. She stopped about a foot behind her, and said,
"Umm, are you ok?"
She saw her looking at her, mainly her wings, and the fact that she has no cutie mark, but she the alicorn doesn't seem to notice Pinkie sneak off. Crim then tells her,
"Name's Crimson Fang, but you can call me Crim."
Crim stuck out her hoof for her to shake, and Crim smiles as they shake hooves.
Hey, maybe she'll get a friend.
