Applejack walked over to her final tree in Applebucking' season. A bead of sweat fell down her face, finally done she sat down next to the newly bare apple tree and took a deep breath in. "I wonder if Rainbow will like me back?" She questioned herself putting a hoof up to her face to wipe off the bead of sweat. She stood up slowly and started walking back to the barn. All of a sudden when she reached the barn Twilight walked over. "Hi AJ!" said Twilight in a unusually peppy tone. "Oh hey Twi." Applejack said giving her a tired smile. "Soooo... AJ, I was wondering since Applebucking season is over if I could order some apples?" She asked smiling back. "Oh a' course ya can Twi! Why didn't you just say so?" Applejack walked over to a fresh bucked bin of apples and pushed it over to Twilight. "Here ya go. Take em, their my treat." Applejack said. "Oh no, no no no! I will not let you give me these for free!" Twilight said taking some bits out of her satchel. "No. Take em' we have to many already." Applejack said pushing them closer to Twilight. "Applejack, no." She said shaking her head. Applejack pushed the basket right in front of Twilight and ran inside the barn and closed the door. "Can't pay meh now can ya!" Applejack said playfully. "UGH, AJ you win this time." Twilight took the basket and started walking back to the library. Applejack opened the barn door to see a little pile of bits in front of the door. She smiled. About two hours later Applejack walked over to the picnic she had set up with Rainbow. Rainbow Dash came swooping down from a cloud nearby and sat on the cloth she had set up. "Hey AJ." Rainbow gave a sheepish laugh after. "Oh-uh Hey!" Applejack said nervously. "Hey you okay?" RD asked looking at her. "Yea RD i'm fine" Applejack gave a reassuring laugh. "Oh, coz you aren't acting normal." RD said scooting closer to Applejack. "Hey AJ i've been wanting to tell you something for a while now.." The sun fully set now you could basically see the stars shining. "Wait.... What?" Applejack asked Rainbow Dash giving her a confused look. "Well... I've been wanting to tell you this for a while now..." There was a silence that seemed to last forever but in reality was only a few seconds. "I really like you...." Another long silence. "And i wanted to know if you wanted to maybe be my Girlfriend?" Rainbow Dash sat there biting her lip looking into Applejacks eyes. "Well Rainbow... I ma self was gonna ask ya the same question tonight thats why I set up the picnic." Applejack said giving Rainbow a little grin. "Wait you WERE!" Rainbow Dash was starting to get excited and moved even closer to Applejack. "Yea I was RD." said Applejack. "Well so its official? Were now Marefriends?" Rainbow asked her. "Eeyup!" Applejack said imitating her brother Big Macintosh. They both laid down on the blanket that was set out and stared at the stars. Rainbow Dash scooted closer to Applejack and put an hoof around her shoulder: cuddling up to her. "Wow RD it really is a Starry Night." Applejack said pointing a hoof towards the stars. "I agree" said Rainbow Dash. And there and then they both knew what love really meant. They just didn't know how to tell their friends that they were lovers. The next day Rainbow Dash and Applejack were on their way to the library to tell Twilight. When they arrived, Twilight was writing a letter to the Princess even though her studies were over and she was a Princess now all of her friends still treated her the same way as they did before she became Princess Twilight Sparkle. "UGH! Spike send this to the Princess, NOW!" She threw Spike a letter with her hoof. "Uhhh should we come back later?" Rainbow Dash asked turning around. "Oh! Girls I didn't see you there! No of course you don't have to leave I had a very important letter I needed to send to Celestia or I would be.... be... tardy." She whispered the last word and shivered. We all knew that Twilight has to be not tardy. "So Girls, what are you doing here?" Twilight asked turning around from her desk facing towards them. "Oh, me and Rainbow wanted to tell yall something..." Applejack said rubbing her head with her hoof. "Oh! You know you guys can tell me anything!" Twilight said giving a giant smile. "Me and uh Rainbow are u-uh Marefriends..." There was a silence. "W-What? You are? You can't be! Girls I-I don't know what to say..." Twilight shook her head confused. "Yea Twilight were dating!" Rainbow said starting to lose her excitement. "Im sorry girls I need you to leave now.. don't bother me I have to think about somethings." Twilight said shuffling them out, slamming an d locking the door. "Well. That went well." Rainbow started to cry. And so did I. //-------------------------------------------------------// October //-------------------------------------------------------// October ` The next day Applejack and Rainbow Dash were both at the farm planning what they were going to do seeing how Twilight reacted to their relationship how would the others? They both thought for a couple minutes and got an idea! "Maybe Twilight already told the rest and saved us from us both telling them and it being disastrous!" said Rainbow Dash starting to perk up.
