Twilight scanned through the books, "Spike!" She shouted, and the baby dragon ran down the stairs, "What is it, Twilight?" He asked, and Twilight responded quickly. "I can't find that spell-book Princess Celestia gave me!" She grabbed him, and shook him repeatedly. "I put it somewhere..." Twilight slipped toward a shelf, and began pulling books out and checking their covers.

"You mean the Spells-Of-Mysteries?" He lifted a book with a cover of magic, "That's it!" Twilight floated it over to her desk, "Thank you, Spike." She thanked Spike, and blew dust off it's cover. Then began flipping through the pages. "Awww, don't mention it." Spike chuckled, and scratched his head. He leaped back as Twilight stepped away from the desk, she gulped a bit, trying to remember the steps to completing the spell. The spell page was recommended for advanced unicorns.

"I think I got it..." Twilight held her breath, a spark of light appearing from the tip of her horn. A aura formed around Twilight's horn, and then it all stopped. "Huh? What happened?" She looked at Spike, whose eyes whirled around from dizziness. "Did anything happen? Anything?" She asked the baby dragon, who shook himself.

"I don't think so Twilight..." He spoke through a dizzy tone. Twilight stomped her hoof, "Why did Princess Celestia even give me a book!? If the spells don't work, what would it do?" Twilight paced around the room, "Why? Did something really happen and we don't know?"

Spike blinked, and assured Twilight, "Don't worry, you can find another advanced skill in that book."

Twilight sighed, "But Spike, that spell was the most advanced-"

"Then maybe you don't have the requirements!" Spike pointed out, "Besides, you haven't been studying for a little bit ever since Rainbow Dash started entering contests and such!" Spike laid his head on the desk, examining the book.

Twilight realized that Spike was right, she had ditched studying to go to Rainbow Dash's contests, which she would mostly win in. "Well, I should continue studying..." Twilight interrupted herself with a loud yawn

"You should get some sleep, Twilight." Spike nudged Twilight up the stairs. "I'll turn the lights off, you get some rest so you can study in the morning."

Twilight stumbled up the stairs, tiredness pulling her to fall onto the ground and sleep rawly there. But Twilight heaved herself into bed, covered herself with sheets, and fell asleep.

Twilight woke up, and yawned. She wiped her eyes, and got up, Twilight headed to the mirror to check her mane to see if it was fine. But what she saw was horrible. Twilight's jaw fell in awe, her mane was just like Cheerilee's and her horn had disappeared. "Oh no..."

"What's wrong with my mane!?" She looked at the stripes she had, one was a deeper colour then it should be.

Twilight raced out onto the stairs, guiding herself down. "Spike!" She called, and saw a white stallion sweeping the floor. "Spike?" Twilight tilted her head. Spike turned, and blinked, "Hey, Twilight!" The stallion had a white coat with a blue mane. "Uhh... You look like Fancy Pants..."

Spike blinked, "What are you-" Twilight lifted a mirror with her hooves, and Spike nearly screamed. "Oh no! What happened!" Spike looked warily at the hooves, "Hooves! I HAVE HOOVES!" He screamed, but Twilight placed her hoof on his mouth. "My hands..." Spike whined under Twilight's foot.

Twilight gulped, "I'm afraid to know." She looked over at where she stored the Elements of Harmony, seeing it was gone. "Oh no..." She placed her hoof down, letting Spike breath heavily. "Okay, be calm you crazy stallion... Or dragon.." Twilight turned and raced to the entrance to the Gold Oaks Library.

Twilight ran out the door, "Spike! Look on what you could do to help this madness!" She called behind her, and ran to Fluttershy's cottage.

She knocked as loud as she can on the door, "Fluttershy!" Twilight yelled into the cottage, but knew there was no reply. "Fluttershy, are you in there!?" Twilight called again, then gulped. Twilight backed away from the door, readying for collision with it.

She felt her hooves thud the ground as she ran at the door, head-colliding with it and making it fall inward into the home. Twilight shook her dizziness from falling and banging on the ground with a wooden door.

"Fluttershy?" Twilight looked up, seeing a short-maned mare with a white streak on the bottom of her mane. "Lyra..." Fluttershy covered her face, not wanting to be looked at. "Fluttershy! What happened?" Twilight asked.

"W-well..." Fluttershy stuttered, "I was feeding my animals... It was normal... Then I went to bed, and when I woke up, my mane was like this..." Fluttershy's tone changed quickly, "I bet it's that Rarity who's messing up manes!"

"No, Fluttershy!" Twilight tried to block the door, and Fluttershy tried to get out, but Twilight soon realized Fluttershy had a horn, and gulped. Fluttershy's horn had a sparked, and she teleported behind her. Twilight turned, grinning with advantage when she saw Fluttershy's strength was lowered due to using such a advanced skill. Twilight tried to run after Fluttershy, but she ran off, despite her power being drained.

Twilight knew what she done, and that she caused this. But how? Then Twilight realized she had to get the Elements Of Harmony, she shook the thoughts away, and ran off toward where Fluttershy ran off.
