The Misadventures of Ponybuscus!
Toby walked into the kitchen, Gryphon following happily behind. "Good doggy. Want a treat boy?" Toby said in a high pitched voice. Gryphon growled at Toby. "Sorry. I forgot you don't like baby talk." Toby said. Gryphon yipped and started wagging his tail. Toby grabbed a dog treat from the cookie jar and threw it to Gryphon, who gobbled it up quickly. Toby laughed and walked into the living room. He grabbed his phone off the charger and pulled on his sneakers. "I'm going for a walk Gryphon. Stay here." Toby told the dog.
Gryphon wagged his tail with joy. "Good boy." Toby said as he opened the door. He took a deep breath and stepped outside. The sun was shining as he walked down the steps of his porch. "It's a nice day." Toby said to himself. He walked over to his mailbox and opened it up. "Lets see..." Toby mumbled as he took out the items inside.
Inside the box was some letters, a few small packages, and a large box beside it. Toby grabbed the items and shuffled back into the house. He placed the items on the table and went for a walk. Toby walked down the sidewalk with his phone in hand, making one of his lazy vlogs. "Hello Audience! Today i'm walking down my street. I got some packages in the mail today, and when i get back to my house, i'll open them up." Toby put his phone in his pocket and finished walking around his block.
Once Toby got back to his house, he walked inside and was greeted by a slobbering pooch. "Hey boy." Toby said as he walked over to the table. Toby pulled out his pocket knife and cut open the tape on the small packages. He pulled out a darkness redness whiteness necklace, a clay creeper, and a cape with a T on it. "Cool." Toby said as he walked over to the large box. "Now it's your turn." he told the box.
Toby cut open the clear packing tape and opened the flaps. Inside the box was lots of packing peanuts. Toby dug around them until he felt something. He picked it up and turned it around in his hand. The item Toby had found was a black, white, and red amulet in the shape of a T. Toby slipped the amulet over his neck and looked at himself in the mirror. "Nice." he said.
Suddenly, Toby collapsed. Gryphon started barking like crazy, but his bark sounded far away. Toby's vision started to fail, then, everything went black.
Toby slowly opened his eyes and found he was on the ground. "What just happened?" he said, as he shook the dust out of his hair. "Oh, my head hurts." he said, rubbing his throbbing temples. Toby looked around him and saw he was lying on a dirt road. "Where am I?" he asked himself.
Toby reached into his pocket to pull out his phone, but couldn't find his pocket. "What?" he said, looking down. Toby's eyes grew wide at the sight he saw. "What...am...I..." i said slowly, turing his hooves in front of him. "Am I a pony?" he asked, standing up. Toby stood up and started searching for his phone. He noticed that there was a tattoo on his waist. "Hey! That's the amulet I got in the mail!" he said, staring at the image.
Toby tore his gaze away from the image and continued searching. He saw the phone, lying on the ground. Toby ran over to it and tried to pick it up with his hooves. No luck. Then, Toby noticed a bump poking out of his forehead. "I must have hit my head really hard for the bump to be that big." he said, touching the bump. "Wait, that's not a bump. That's a horn!" he said with excitement. "Cool! Let me try this." he said, trying to pick up his phone with his magic. His horn started to spark red, white, and black sparks. "DARKNESS REDD WHITENESS MAGIC!" he yelled. then, the horn stopped sparking. "dangit." Toby said, picking up the phone with his mouth. He slipped it into his shirt pocket and looked around.
Suddenly, Toby heard some voices. "All I'm saying is that if your going to sell books, make them Daring Do books!" said the voice. It sounded like a girl, but not a girly girl.
"Rainbow, ponies can like other books besides Daring Do. There's science, history, fiction..." another voice said. This voice sounded girly, but also kinda nerdy. Then, Toby saw two ponies walking up the road. Well, one pegasus, and one alicorn. Toby stared at the equines as they came closer. The alicorn gasped at the sight of Toby.
"Oh my Celestia! Are you alright sir?" she said, running over to him. Toby nodded as she dusted him off. Toby noticed she had some pretty aspects. She was purple with a dark purple and pink mane, and her tail matched. Her eyes were purple and on her waist, she had a picture too. Hers was a six-pointed star surrounded by five smaller stars.
"I haven't seen you around here before. What's your name?" she asked. Toby chocked on his words. She gave him a troubling look, but finally he spoke.
"My...my name's Toby. But my friends call me Tobuscus." he finally said. The alicorn smiled at him.
"Well Toby, my name is Twilight, and this is Rainbow Dash." she said politely. Toby looked up at the pegasus, and noticed she was a clear cyan. Her mane and tail where rainbow colored, and they flowed in the wind as she flapped her wings. On her waist, there was a picture of a raincloud with a rainbow lightning bolt coming out of it.
"Nice to meet you." Toby said. Twilight smiled. "Would you like to come with us to town?" Twilight asked him. Toby nodded and followed the mares down the road. Soon the trio came to a small village, filled with candy colored ponies. Toby was amazed. There were unicorns, pegasi, and ponies everywhere.
"Whoa." Toby said. "This is Ponyville. Both me and Rainbow Dash, as well as our friends live here." Twilight told him. Toby followed them until Rainbow Dash said good bye and flew off. Toby then followed Twilight as she gave him a tour of Ponyville. "Over there is Sugar cube corner where Pinkie Pie lives, there's the sofa & quills shop, that's the carousel boutique, my friend Rarity lives there, the toy store, Berry Punch's restaurant, and DJ Pon3's club is over there. Finally, we have the library. This is where I live. You can come in and rest for a while if you like." she said, waking inside a big tree that was some windows and a big door on it. Toby walked inside and saw that the tree was hollow. shelves had been carved out of the inside, with books stuffed on each one. there were chairs, a desk with lots of paper and quills on it, some stairs leading up to what Toby guessed was Twilight's bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and even a basement.
"Whoa. this place is huge." Toby said, looking around. Twilight laughed as she walked out of the kitchen.
"Yeah, it sure is. Would you like some blossom tea?" she asked. Toby shook his head and sat on a cushion on the floor. "So where are you from?" she asked him. Toby thought for a moment, then spoke.
"I'm from California." he said. Twilight gave him a puzzled look.
"California? Don't you mean Califoalia?" she asked. Toby realized his mistake and nodded. "Oh. Ok." Twilight said, finishing her tea. Toby sighed.
"No, i mean California." he said. He didn't know what he was doing, but he felt like he could trust Twilight. Toby stood up. "You see, I'm not from around here. I'm not even a pony." he said.
"Your a zebra?" Twilight asked.
"No, i'm...i'm a human." he told her. Twilight's confused look turned to curious. She picked up her tea cup with her magic and carried it into the kitchen. She came back a couple minutes later and sat back down. She sighed.
"Ok. I believe you. But how did you get here?" she asked calmly. Toby couldn't believe it. She was taking this very well.
"Well, i got a package in the mail, so i opened it. It was a little amulet in the shape of a T. I put it on, then i got really dizzy, and when i woke up I was a pony." Toby finished and waited for Twilight to respond.
"Well, it sounds like the amulet you got was enchanted." she said. "I had some friends that got stuck here for a while, and they used magic to get back to their world. However, they aren't here now, so you might be stuck here for a while." she told him. Toby thought for a moment.
"Ok, well do you have any advice?" he asked. Twilight stood up and stretched her wings.
"I suggest you take a look around Ponyville. Go make some friends and get to know everypony. Until you get home, you can stay with me." Twilight said, using her magic to write down some names and addresses. "These are my friends. I suggest you go to them first. But don't tell them your a human ok?" she told him. Toby nodded a grabbed the paper in his mouth. He then walked out the door to explore the colorful town.
