//-------------------------------------------------------// Woona's Cardboard Box Fort -by Poek Tyku- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// TO WAR! //-------------------------------------------------------// TO WAR! Once upon a time, there was a land of talking candy-colored horses. But, these horses were special, well, other than being able to speak fluent English, some had horns to use magic, others had wings to fly, but few in existence had horns and wings. One in particular was a princess, a young, blue, animated filly. One day, the filly was disinterested in the things around her. Without many options, she took a walk in the woods around her castle. Animals scurried around her hooves, giving her presents like acorns, phoenix feathers and the occasional ruby. All pleasing her, but not to bring her out of being a low-spirit, only though it was orthodox for the animals to amuse royalty. After an eternity, the princess found a river, but this river isn't ordinary, it's the beginning of "The Kingdom of Luna!" Beavers had built a wooden castle, as her mind drifted to the ponies in her. "Everypony around me has a fort... Daddy, Mommy... even Celly with her book-forts," The alicorn thought to herself " what if I made my own! Her mind drifted off to a 'La-La land' thinking of how she would build her own castle. Then, she came up with a... brilliant idea. Bursting out the heavy doors. A ear-piercing slam erupted from the crash of double doors. I'm gonna build a fort! Luna thought, dashing over the wobbly rope-bridge hanging over the deep, dark abyss. Trees had become pillars leading to the orchards of the farmers and the dirt road had become a red carpet. Luna's imagination had gone wild, animals had become citizens roaming the castle, and the blue sky had become a bright colored ceiling. For the last week she had planned out the fort, gathering all the supplies to make her new dream come true. Once finding the field which was a soon-to-be-fort, Luna dropped her saddlebags, making a loud THUMP when hitting the dirt road. Before getting the glue and tape, Luna made a check list.... and another one, thinking that her sister would be proud of her even making one. The blueprint was laid out, flat as a pancake. A soft breeze making the paper twist and turn. Crude hoof-writing inhabited the 'NAME' box, the picture being named 'Luna's Box Fort of Awasomenesz'. The picture matched the same style of rectangle, though messy and made with a black crayon. Luna scanned the layout, memorizing it. "Well, time to get to work!" Several hours after the placing of "Fort Luna" was a half-built, cardboard structure that closely resembled a castle. A sign marking the filly's territory said "Luna's Box Fort", again, written in black crayon. A bright pink-orange aurora filled the sky as the sun threatened to fall out of sight, as the moon inched its way into the sky. Luna decided to go home, before the guards came searching for her. The walk home seemed endless, though the sun could still be seen when Luna bounded for her mattress. The next morning, Luna heard the the soft stomps of the far-away soldiers coming towards her fortress. THUMP THUMP, THUMP THUMP Luna moved into position, the half-made cardboard box fort. Two toy guns were enveloped in a light-blue magic, 'Surf' emblazoned on the grips, and two congruent toy guns in her hooves. The blue filly shuffled uncomfortably in her spot. Multiple pegasus guards flew over the forest, looking for the filly in the trees, other earth-bound ponies searched behind trees and bushes expecting to find the dark blue alicorn. One nearby unicorn saw "Fort Luna", giving the position of the filly. THUMP THUMP Slowly approaching the cardboard, the unicorn put down his weapon. THUMP THUMP- The guard was in shock as two guns flew out of the fort, then a screeching pony jumping out, With her high-pitched battle cry piercing the ears of other nearby soldiers, Luna tackled the closest enemy, making him tumble to the green grass. Quickly into defense position, the guard shot up, jumping back from the filly. Realizing that the attacker was the young princess he was looking for, he sighed of relief, falling on his stomach in the process. Two toy guns crashed down on either side of the guard aimed at his head. A satisfying, yet soft 'ting' came from the gun as a bullet came out of both of them. Sighing again the sticky bullets were then enveloped in a dark green aurora and slowly placed on multiple blades of grass
