Endless Void

In the province of Amareca, a small town has a secret. In this town, a dim alleyway becomes home to a hooded figure after midnight. Many partygoers and clubbers pass this alleyway and see him (we assume the pony is male) during their drunken rambles, he acknowledges them with a simple nod.
Should you wish to greet this man, take these steps. if you mess up and do not follow the instructions, you will not be faced with serious or even fatal consequences like some Internet fairy tales. You will simply be dismissed, though you may never try again.
Walk into the alleyway with purpose. You must not be hesitant, otherwise he will assume you are not ready. It is safe but not necessary to call to him, regardless of whether he seems to recognize your presence he knows what you seek.
He will ask for a cigarette. He prefers Rothmans, but other brands will do, though it may lessen your chances of success. Give him a cigarette. He will remark about the weather. Say,'Too dark to tell.' If you do not say these words exactly, no more no less, he will not respond, maybe a thank-you for the cigarette and leave.
If you are successful he will turn to you and ask if you are afraid of the dark. Tell him you are very much so. He will offer a guiding hand through the darkness of life. Accept this.
He will caution you that there is a price. Feel free to guess at what the price is or simply ask. From now on no matter what you say you cannot fail, unless you outright say you want out.
The pony will tell you the price. You can accept or decline. If you accept he will thank you for the cigarette, and you will wake up.
Look in the mirror. You already know what the pony in the mirror is, though you don't know why.
Ask your friend in the bedroom mirror a question whenever you please. There is no limit. But, mind the price.
