Memories
Rain landed in front of her house, trembling. She was an hour late coming home. The small filly trotted into the house, Hoping her father was in a good mood and, mostly, not drunk.
"Daddy? Mommy?" Rain took a step forward when she heard a shout followed by her mother screaming. Rain froze as her father stormed down the stairs. The look on his face and the fact that he was stumbling told her she was in trouble. Rain backed up and turned around, heading for the still open door. Her father suddenly landed in front of her. Rain fell back, terrified.
""Your late, young lady. And that means punishment." Rain froze as her father raised a hoof. She was unable to shut her eyes as her father brought his hoof down.
"AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Rainbow bolted out of bed, covered in sweat. Chest heaving, Rainbow sat down on her bed. It was just a dream. She hadn't seen her father in 20 years.
"I'm glad it wasn't real." Rainbow sighed before continuing talking to herself." I know one thing. I'm never seeing my father again." She couldn't have been more wrong.
