Chapter II: Reasoning

"Okay, all I need to do is use basic logic. Twilight does it all the time." Spike said to himself, pacing back & forth.

"Obviously, Cloudchaser has a thing for me. First I need to figure out why. Then, Ill have to figure out my own thoughts on this. Then, I need to confront her about it. Lets see: We`re really good friends, she barely has any family, I took her out on her birthday, I was the only one who ever said anything to her, &- wait a minute." Spike faceclawed with such power that the sound could be heard from nearly across the entire town.

"She thought I was trying to- so this entire thing was my fault!"

Spike burst through the library & straight through the door, almost bowling Twilight over again, then began flying towards Cloudchaser`s small "cloud chateau", as she had called it once. He landed in front of the door & began to knock on it. In a few moments, Cloudchaser came to the door, her expression turning to sadness at the sight of Spike.

"Hey Spike." She greeted him in a dejected tone.

"Something wrong?"

"No, I just wanted to apologize, you know, for yesterday. I`m perfectly fine with it if you never want to see me again."

"Cloudchaser, that was my fault. I didn`t realize that what I did would have been mistaken for more than just me being nice to my friend. If anything, I should be the one apologizing."

"Spike, you really are my best friend, & that`s exactly why." She lunged forward, hugging him tight enough to break his neck.

"Can`t... breathe... let go... please!"

"Sorry. So, do you want to go do something? As friends?"

"Sure. I just heard about the release of these new things called PlayStations. They were originally created in Neighsia, & now theyve started exporting them to other parts of Equestria. Theyre bringing the first shipment of them to Ponyville, so I thought we could go check it out."

"Sounds cool. You know, sometimes I wonder where all these technological advancements came from. I mean, who thought of them?"

"From what I know, the harnessing of electricity came from a unicorn named Benjamane Franklin, & the idea for the PlayStation came from a Japaneighse stallion named Tetsuya Neighmora. He also was part of the development for this game called Final Fantasy. Its apparently the longest series made so far for the PlayStation. Right now, its made of around twenty-something games. I was thinking about getting the tenth one if I can get a PlayStation, since it`s supposed to be one of the best."

"That would be great. Let`s go."

Spike & Cloudchaser flew off towards the center of Ponyville, seemingly racing with each other.
