We’re going to be late!” Cindy yells from downstairs. “One second!” I yell back. I give myself one last look over in the mirror, smiling at all of the little details I managed to fit in. I grab my backpack that has the Sly Cooper symbol on it and clip it on and I clip a walkie-talkie onto the strap. I grab my wallet and rush downstairs, almost tripping over my roommate’s cat. “Damn cat…” I mutter under my breath as I reach the end of the stairs and walk to the car. “There you are mister Electric Man.” My friend Kyle, dressed as Zeke, says to me. “About time….” Cindy, dressed as Kuo with her powers, mutters. “Hey hey hey, atleast my baby’s here.” My girlfriend Tiana, dressed as Nix, mutters. I hop into the back with Tiana and Cindy drives to Comic Con. I look around the showroom floor of Comic Con after getting a minute long lecture about being on time by Cindy. I enter one area where something immediately catches my eyes: a perfect to scale replica of The Amp. I look over at the man in the booth, “How much for this?” I ask. “Normally it’s $300,” I feel my heart sink, “but for you, it’s only $20.” I quickly hand him the money. I walk back over to the Amp, I pick it up but then I feel extremely heavy. I black out as I fall to the floor. I wake up, noticing that wind is whipping against my face. ‘That’s strange….. I don’t remember wind from before….’ I look down. ‘Oh look the ground is getting closer.’ Brain loading……… ‘Shit shit shit shit shit shit!’ I yell to myself before landing in some sort of park, causing electric sparks to fly everywhere. ‘Ow….. That could’ve gone better……’ I look at the ponies staring at me. ‘Well shit……’ I stand up, groaning a bit in pain. “Um….. Hi…” I mentally face palm as ponies start to panic, screaming and running in every direction. ‘Well, that could’ve gone better…..’ I notice some ponies with armor on, walking at me with weapons drawn. I look at them. “I’d love to stay and chat but I’ve got an appointment.” I start running. After a while I look back, seeing the guards still on my tail. ‘Shit…. How can I get them off of my ta-idea!’ I continue running but then I try to use my powers but only get a spark. ‘Damn… Gotta focus.’ I try again, this time managing to launch myself from a pillar of ice into the air. ‘This is awesome!’ I use my tether to get to the nearest building. I quickly climb it and then Ice Launch from building to building. I look back, seeing no guards. ‘That’s be- Oh now that’s just great.’ I see Pegasi start chasing me. ‘I need to hide…..’ I quickly dash into an abandoned ware house to escape. I sigh in relief as the guards pass by the building, after a while I start to search the warehouse. After searching almost everywhere I bust down the door to the main office, finding a safe. I breathe deeply before opening the safe using my Amp. I take a look inside and grab some documents, ‘Huh I wonder who this “Dullahan” person is….and why does it seem so familiar?’ I shrug to myself before pocketing the documents in my backpack. I then hear a growling, I look around before realizing it was my stomach. ‘Damn, I need to get some food…’ After I walk out of the warehouse I realize one little thing. ‘Who would even give me food?!’ I look down glumly, the reality of being an alien in a new world sinking in. “Ugh, this sucks…’ I look up, finding a weird, red energy thing. “Hi there little fella.” I hold out my hand and it lands on it. “What exactly are you?” “I am a Djinn.” I look at it, slightly in shock. “Ok……. So what kind of Djinn exactly?” “I’m a Mercury Djinn.” ‘This seems fami-Golden Sun… that’s why that name rang a bell.’ “Ok, who do you report to?” “No one, I’m a wild Djinn but I hang around a town called Newvale and I’ve met the Guardian of the town a few times.” “Ok, I have something for you if you want to take it to there.” I take out the documents and I write a note on it that says “It seems this CRA thing has a complete document on you, found it in a warehouse in…. Manehatten I believe this city is called… anyways, hope to be able to have your back. ~Cole” The Djinn takes it and flies off. I smiles and start Ice Launching in search of food. As I continue on my way I see a mugging in progress by some guards. “Hey knuckle heads, aren’t you supposed to be protecting these people, not mugging them?” They look up and I smile and wave at them before I throw a ice grenade at them. One manages to roll away but the other gets trapped in ice up to his shoulders. ‘Talk about your cold shoulders….heh.’ I jump off and I knock the last guard off of his feet. As he groans on the ground I use Arc Restraint on him. I start to walk away but the pegasus stalllion stops me. “Hey, thanks for saving me back there, I didn’t know that the guard corruption ran this deep.” “Who exactly are you anyways?” “Oh, sorry….. I’m Shadow Runner.” “Well then Shadow Runner I am Cole McGrath,” I do a mock bow,” at your service.” He chuckles and motions for me to follow him. I do, since I already found some food (Thank you dumpster diving), and as we walk I get a shock. “Halt monster! Step away from the pony!" I clean my ears out. “I didn’t need to hear anyways….” I put up my hand, electricity starts crackling around my arm. “Don’t hurt them….” Shadow whispers to me. “Don’t worry.” I whisper back. After a few cracked ribs and a bunch of electricity later, I have all of the gaurds restrained on the ground. I notice a paper sticking out of a gaurds pocket. “Huh…” I take it and see it has different faces of guards with the CRA stamp by them and the words ‘Assigned to Newvale security task force.’. “Hey Shadow?” “Yeah?” “Have you heard about a town called Newvale?” “Yes, why?” “Seems like I’ll have to make a stop there.”
