The Rise and Fall of an Empire
Chapter 1: Before the Sun
"Many millennia ago, long before Discord or Cadence or Sombra or any of the typical bunch: 2 dominate forces ruled the land of Equestria: the Changelings and the Pheonixi. Each powerful with godly rulers, they fought to control the lands of which they roam. The two rulers: Aaron and Morphosis, now go head to head, and on the front lines, seek to destroy each other. Meanwhile, they each have something to protect. On the Pheonixi's end there is the king's son, Flame Specter, who is believed to have infinite potential, and is a born alicorn. The Changelings protect their Queen, Chrysalis, who is the main tactician and the most skilled and powerful shapeshifter in all the land. We start the tale with Flame at the market, trying to catch a Changeling that had somehow made it into the city.
"Well, this should be interesting..." Flame whispered to himself, in an overly cautious voice. He had rounded up the suspects into a nearby shop, where he had just been. They all wanted to follow him. He walked in to all of them, staring at him, as the store-clerk shouted: "THEY'RE ALL CHANGELINGS! RUN AND SAVE YOURSELF!!" Then he realized it was an initre squad of 10-12 of them. With a bragging smirk, he mouthed: Bring it. The instant horde rushed at him, changing back into their petite alicorn selves. As they lunged, Flame was ready. He blowed them back with a powerful magic burst, and then one by one they tried to fight back, only to get themselves incinerated by his powerful magic. Once the deed done, the shop clerk known by Hermit thanked him greatly. Then, heading back to the palace, he looks at the beautiful place he calls home. A big walled kingdom, inside humble ponies. Pheonixi generally always have wings, and it is special to see a unicorn. Pheonixi's wings are made of pheonix feathers, and are very fast an lightweight. Their manes end with a reddish tint, as they always seem to end with the feathers, and this is all natural, not placed on. as for unicorns, they have slightly curved horns and are very long. He could see all around, the training facilities, filled with colts and fillies who want to be in the AGFPN (Armed Guard For Pheonix Nova((Pheonix Nova is the name of the city))), and then looking back at the market, a series of streets littered with shops and stands, somepony happily waiting for customers. His father's great palace, The Court of Kings, stood in front of him. In all its solid white quartz and polished gold glory, he walked through.
Upon enter, he was escorted to the throne room. There his father, Aaron, sat. "Greetings, my son. I presume you caught the changelings for questioning?" Aaron spoke, in a mighty tone. "I tried, father, but there were 12 of them, and they ambushed me inside one of the buildings in the market. They just kept fighting, so they had to be dealt with." Flame was not happy about the results, or his father. The mission was to round up the Changelings and bring them here for questioning. It was his fault, as he had open heartedly accept their invites to death. "Hmm... Well, there is nothing more. You are free for the rest of the day." his father said, looking his son in the eyes. Then walking to his room, Flame looked out the window. He had the rest of the day doing what he wanted, now what to do...
Knowing his son's knack of adventure, Aaron as at a crossroads. He needed to launch a private mission with himself at lead, but he knew his son would follow, and it would end very badly. But if he didn't they would have to hide in their town and wait for them to take the city.
