During the early years of the Lunar Rebellion, many different races lived together under Princess Luna's rule. Many Ponies would assume the infamous Batponies would have been there from the beginning. They are mistaken. This is the story of how the First Batpony came to be, and why they are forever loyal to Luna, and Luna alone.

Note this takes place in a universe where Luna's rebellion was indeed an all out war, and her transformation into Nightmare Moon was a fabrication created by Celestia to make it seem like there was no unrest in the Kingdom. There is some gore, and the traumatizing of a colt. I would appreciate critiques so I can improve. Thank you!
