Prologue: How it all began
Now most of the time stories like this start out like ,
"My parents died when I was young." :( sadface
or maybe
"I still don't have my cutie mark" -cries.
But not this one , this stallion named Starshine Haste has everything , his parents are some of the richest in equestrian
(next to the princesses)
, he was the first in his class to get his cutie mark , he had a lot of friends , money , power but this just wasn't what he wanted , or needed.
Today started out like any other boring day , I got home from school , I said hi to my mom and dad and HEY LOOK they're to busy to even say hi like everyday , what a surprise. I trotted up the stairs and I was about to go into my room when I glanced into my little sisters room , and standing in there playing with her was a mare about my age with a pink mane and a yellow coat and she had a green bow that held her mane in a pony tail. That's about all I saw for I never stopped to really look , I just went in my room.
It went on the same way day after day me getting home , my parents ignoring me , then I just walk to my room. I started to realize every time I walked in there I take a quick peek into my sisters room and see the same yellow mare. One day I finally decided to go in and say...
"Hi"
"Ohh..ummm....hi" she said so quietly I almost couldn't hear her.
"I'm Stashine Haste" I said
"oh I know who you are mister Haste ,your little moonlights brother."
"Hope I'm not being rude here but d'you mind speaking up a little? I can barely hear you , your so quiet. And you don't have to call me mister Haste just Starshine is fine."
"Oh ok mist- I mean umm Starshine."
"okey-dokey then..I guess I'll just...uhh..go now..bye"
Little did I know that , that very day was just the beginning of a story that would lead through rings of romance , comedy , mystery , and adventure!
The next day on my way home I realized I never even got the mares name. So right then I bolted home (partially wondering why I'm getting so worked up over not knowing her name. But that will have to wait for I just got home) I straitened out my midnight blue mane , fixed my yellow feathers and walked inside. When I got up to my little sisters room the mare wasn't there.
"Were is she moonlight?" I asked her
"Fluttershy's not here today, I actually think she isn't coming back because of how mommy yelled at her yesterday for letting me play on the table but it wasn't her fault she told me to get down but I didn't listen."
.Fluttershy.
That's a cute name.
"Alright sis , than-.....WAIT not coming back?? what do you mean not coming back!!"
"Not coming back as in not coming back , like ever , at all , none..I swear you might be older but your not too bright." she snickered.
I'd only just met her , just learned her name , and I'm never gonna see her again? That conversation was one of the first good ones I'd had in years. My parents never listen , my sisters nice sometimes but most of the time she's nothing but a little witch , my friends I'm pretty Shure only like me because I'm rich. But those few sentences I got out of Fluttershy actually sounded like real ones , not just plastered on smiles.
"Do you know were she lives?" I asked my sister
"nope , and even if I did what would you give me for the info?"
-like I said....witch-
"I don't know...I'll do your homework for a week?"
"Deal , she said she has a little apartment down on cloud avenue , but she is wanting to move to Ponyville soon , that's the only reason she got the job babysitting me , she needs money to buy a house there."
"Ok thanks sis , bye love ya!" I said as I zoomed out the door
"DONT FORGET ABOUT MY HOMEWORK!" she yelled after me
Looks like I need to find cloud avenue , and soon.

I was souring through the skies above the streets made of clouds and the different buildings and structures. It was a warm yet breezy day in Cloudsdale , my midnight blue mane was getting messed up by the rush of the wind , but that was normal. I past Tonson street and I was looking for Cloud avenue. I've never been to this part of the city before , it was were most of the poor ponies lived but it was nice nonetheless. (But it was nothing like the ghetto , and I'm thankful for that.) After a while of looking I finally found the place I was looking for , a medium sized place called the "Drifting Feather Apartment complex" on cloud avenue. When I walked up to the front desk there was a middle aged mare with a green mane and bright blue eyes.
"Excuse me?" I asked
"Yes darling , how can I help you?"
"Do you know if a young mare named Fluttershy has an apartment here?"
"Oh yes , she is on the second floor , room 12B." said the very colorful mare.
"But if I were you kid I would hurry , she is packing all her things getting ready to get on out of here."
"Thanks!" I said as I dashed away and tossed a bit onto the counter. (Your supposed to tip the clerks right?)
Anyway once I got to the second floor I had no trouble finding her room. 12B had a vivid pink door with different color butterflies all over it. There were blue, red, pink, green, yellow, and many more.
I knocked a couple times and within a moment or two the bright yellow mare opened up the door.
"Hi!" I said cheerfully with a big smile on my face.
"Hello Starshine , what are you doing here?"
"I...ummm....was just in the neighborhood and felt like stopping by and saying hi." I said very unconfidently.
UNFREAKINGBALIEVABLE! I spent this long trying to get here , this long finding her and as soon as I actually get here I have no idea what to say. Hell I don't even know what I want to say , I barely even know her but the little time we have spent talking has been the best conversations I've ever had.
"So I hear your moving to ponyville? I said.
"Yeah , I've been saving money ever since the flight school incident , and I finally get to go! Oh I'm so exited!"
"Wow what a coincidence I'm moving to ponyville too!"
"Really? I didn't know that , well in that case I hope you have fun."
"Thanks Fluttershy , you too , and maybe I'll see you down there sometime?"
"Yes , maybe."
"Well alrighty then I guess I'll see you later!"
"Your too , bye Starshine."
After she closed the door I just stood there for a minuet going back over the conversation in my head. Well....I guess I'm going to ponyville now. I wonder how my folks are gonna take it? Oh whatever its not like they ever care what I do or what happens to me. I remember this one time I accidently flew into the side of a building. (They might be made of clouds but it still hurts.) And they were just "too busy" to be able to pick me up from the hospital. My parents really suck.
When I got home I went up to my sisters room.
"Hey sis." I said
"Hi" she replied
"Ok look...I'm gonna do todays homework but I can't do the rest."
"WHAT? But you proooomised!"
"I'm sorry sis but I'm moving."
"Wait..your moving? Does mom know about this?"
"Well not yet but I'm gonna tell her , and besides even you have to agree she wouldn't care either way if I leave."
"I guess your right but that doesn't mean you can get out of my homework!"
"Fine then mail it to me." I said with a grin on my face
"But I don't know how." she said
"Not my problem , now I have to go pack. Bye Moonlight."
Though we never see eye to eye I am gonna miss my sister , she is the only one in my family who gives a crap (no matter how small the crap) about me.
I gathered my things and I went to get my life savings from a box under bed. (And damn was it heavy!) My parents might not like me but they still kept me in the loop when it came to the wealth of my family. Sometimes I wish money was made of paper. But that's completely crazy right? Like money anywhere will ever be made of paper , that's just stupid.
I didn't bother taking much with me , just my favorite personal items , like my special goggles that my grandfather gave me before he passed , a small stack of books and the money of course. I knew what ever else I needed I could get in ponyville once I got there. And because of my special talent , I can probably find work almost anywhere. I am an inventor or at least I like thinking of myself that way , really I'm just good and taking nothing and turning it into something.
I left a note on my bed and snuck out the back door. I didn't need to rush because it would be at least a week before they even notice I'm gone , and it will probably only be because moonlight told them I left.
This is gonna be the first time I've ever left Cloudsdale , and its actually quite exhilarating to say the least! Open skies , fresh air , not like the dense cloud buildings and smoke in Cloudsdale. But now that I finally left , I SAY OFF TO ADVENTURE!
