Mixed up Memories

It was a beautiful day in Ponyville, Everypony was enjoying the sun that Princess Celestia had risen up like she does every morning. A gray pegasus was out on her daily rounds delivering mail to everypony like she does every day. She would get a few ponies the wrong mail from time to time.

"Sorry for the confusion there Colgate. I should have known that you didn't order a package today." said Ditzy Doo.

"It's ok Ditzy. Everypony makes mistakes now and then." said Colgate

"Y..yeah. It's hard sometimes to get these things right you know. Well I'll be off. See ya later." said Ditzy Doo.

This gray Pegasus was named Ditzy Doo. She was your average mare. Some ponies called her Derpy Hooves either cuz they didn't know her real name or when the bullies wanted to make fun of her. She didn't mind most ponies calling her that except for the bullies.

"Well you messed up again Ditzy. It wasn't to bad this time. At least Colgate didn't get mad at me for giving her the wrong mail." said Ditzy Doo.

Ditzy was flying along delivering the rest of her mail that she had in her mail bag. After 2 hours or so she was done with her work. She went to Sugar Cube Corner to get her muffin like she always did after work. She was trying to decide between a blueberry muffin or a chocolate muffin.

"Which one which one?" said Ditzy Doo as she looked back and forth between both muffins trying to decide

"You should go with the blueberry muffin it's so good but the chocolate one just as good but the blueberry tastes so sweet but so does the chocolate one." said Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie Pie went back and forth with herself for about 3 minutes until Ditzy finally interrupted her.

"Ok ok Pinkie I'll take a blueberry muffin if you don't mind.  said Ditzy.

"Okie Dokie Loki."  said Pinkie as she pulled out the blueberry muffin and handed it to Ditzy. "There you go."

"Ok so how much do I owe you?" said Ditzy as she is about to pull out some bits.

"No charge. This one is on me, Ditzy." she smiled.

"Are you sure about that Pinkie Pie?" said Ditzy.

"I am very sure bout that Ditzy. Enjoy it." said Pinkie cheerfully.

"Thank you very much. Have a good day Pinkie." Ditzy said picked her muffin up and walked out.

"You too Ditzy!" said Pinkie, She smiled and goes back to work.

Ditzy went flying around town trying to find something to do. She decided to go home and continue reading her book she had started a week ago.

-2 hours later-

Ditzy closed her book and was getting sleepy so she decided to hit the hay a little early today. She got into bed and started to drift off to sleep.

-The next morning-

Ditzy woke up bright and early.

"Wow the sun feels nice today." Ditzy said as she walked to the kitchen to make breakfast. A muffin with some butter in the middle.

Ditzy ate her muffin quietly as she was getting ready for work this morning. After a minute or so she finished her muffin and flew out the door and towards her job. She arrived at her work and went inside. As she flew in she was greeted by her boss.

"Hello there boss." she smiles

"Hello there Ms. Doo. Today is going to be a long one. One of our other mail carriers called in sick today. I am sorry to ask you this but can you take care of his work as well. Just for today?" Her boss said.

"No problem sir you can count on me. So what did the other mail carrier have?"  asked Ditzy.

"Well he had to deliver a package to Zecora's hut. It's some type of flower she had ordered from where she lived." Her Boss stated.

"Ok. I'll take care of it after I am done with my work."  said Ditzy cheerfully.

"Great. Thank you very much Ms. Doo." Her boss said.

Ditzy grabbed her mail bag and the package and flew out to deliver the mail today. After an hour and a half she was done with her work.

"Ok now that I am done with my work I'll deliver that package to Zecora."  said Ditzy.

She flew to the Everfree Forest. She had been there before when Zecora had ordered some packages before so she knew the way. She arrived at Zecora's place and she knocked on the hut door.

"Zecora... Zecora? Are you home?" asked Ditzy.

There was no response, she opened the hut door and peeked inside. There was no one there, so she decided to leave the package near her table and left the area. As she was flying back she noticed a light a little out of her flight plan. So she decided to check it out. She landed on the ground and checked out what that light was. The light had disappeared and in its place was a stallion lying on the ground unconscious with a few cuts and bruises.

"Oh my Celestia it's a injured stallion. What's he doing in the Everfree Forest? Doesn't he know it's dangerous? I hope he is alright.  said Ditzy as she walked closer to the body and checked to see if he was okay. "Well a few cuts and bruises but other than that he was fine."

The body started to move a bit which made Ditzy gasp and jump back a bit.

"A...are you ok?" questioned Ditzy as she got closer to the body.

....

The stallion said nothing at first then a few seconds later he said something.

"W...what happened?" *he said as he tried to move but he couldn't.

"Hey don't move so much. You are badly hurt. Do you want me to call somepony to help you?"  said Ditzy.

"S...somepony?" he groaned as he opened his eye's to see what looked like a gray pegasus in front of him. "W...what are you...."  He said as his vision was starting to fail him.

"H..hey!! What's wrong?!" Yelled Ditzy.

The stallion's head fell back down to the ground and he was unconscious again. Ditzy flew to the stallion and tried to wake him up but to no avail. Then she flew to the closest place which was Fluttershy's cottage and knocked on the door in a hurry.

"Fluttershy! Fluttershy are you there!? I need some help!" Yelled Ditzy

Fluttershy opened the door "W...what is it Ditzy? Are you ok?" asked Fluttershy

"I'm fine but there is a stallion who is injured and needs some help!

" Oh my!! W...well then I am here to help." said Fluttershy.

"Great let's go!" Ditzy grabbed Fluttershy's hoof and they both flew to the Everfree Forest and then Ditzy pointed where the stallion was. "There he is." said Ditzy.

"Oh my .. he seems to be in some bad shape... I don't know how much I can help but I'll do what I can." said Fluttershy

The both of them grabbed one side each of the stallion and gently lifted him to Fluttershy's cottage. Fluttershy and Ditzy had placed the stallion gently on the couch.

"Ok I'll see what I can do. Please wait in the other room please." Fluttershy told Ditzy Doo.

"But I want to-" Ditzy was about to say before she got cut off by Fluttershy.

"No. I know you mean well but I need to concentrate on helping this poor stallion." said Fluttershy

"O...ok." She said as she walked away and sat in a chair in another room.

After an hour or two Fluttershy walked to Ditzy with some good news.

"Is he ok?"  said Ditzy with a worried look on her face.

"He will be just fine." Ditzy sighed in relief. "But he will need to rest for a while til he's better." said Fluttershy

"C..can I stay with him 'til he's better?" asked Ditzy.

"Of course. I am sure he would like to have somepony by him when he wakes up." Fluttershy said.

Ditzy flew over to the stallion, sat next to him in a chair and waited for him to wake up.
