You could never get used to changes. It's the simple way of life. Your friends changes and get lost. But this thing changed Equestria forever. It changed us, it changed all creatures and it changed our way of living. We are prisoners of a fallen land. We don't have rights anymore. We're freelancers of the world we live in. We are strangers remembering the past and refusing the future. Holding on our memories, while the explosion rips them away. Fading, you realize you have to move on.

It was a sunny day in Ponyville. Ponies was cheerfully doing their businesses and everyone's happy. Everyone's was doing their jobs except me. Let me introduce myself. I'm a kind of unicorn. My cutie mark, well, I don't have it. I have a brownish mane and my coat is kinda orange. Therefore the nickname "Orange" .
I live in a small house near the sugar-cube corner. Generations of my family have lived here so the house is fairly old. My name is Lightning Flicker and My daily routines is sleeping, working, eating and again sleeping because what else can a colt like me do?
Since almost nothing in Ponyville breaks or need a "refresh of gears" I spend much of my lazy time(when of course I'm not busy sleeping) to at least try helping ponies with their things. It isn't that I have a bad case of "need to help everyone so everyone is happy" but I just want to see them smile, that's all. You know, moving stuff, helping with farms even though I'm not an earth pony and not so strong I try, and it seems to pay off. This way I've gotten a lot of friends and contacts.
"Well", I thought. "I better move my gray fat ass from the ground and go do something that DOESN'T involve being lazy and gaining fat". I've gotten tired of laying lazy like a cat and to not do anything worth my time. So i walked out and saw a big package standing on my doorstep.
Well, i took it in and opened it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There, I'm the box lied a bluish armor with a note next to it. I picked it up and started reading the letter,
“Dear Lightning.
I know we haven't spoken for years but now, lying in my bed waiting for my time to come I just want you to have the item that I've carried since the Great Pony war. Don't try to find me because when you get this letter I'm probably dead. Lightning, dear, PLEASE take care of it and love it as I took care of you and loved you.
I love you Lightning. Remember that.
All the love
Your dad"
I burst up in a wild cry. My own dad. DEAD! I didn't know how to react. Mom died years before I left my dad. In fact it was his idea to let me go, to let me explore the pony world we live in.
I stared down at the armor, trying to wake up from what I hoped was a dream. It was pointless.
I tried out my dad's armor and it fitted surprisingly perfect. I thought of taking a walk with it, getting used to it. I looked into the mirror. It had a star in the front and had a nice blue color, the same as the armor. Such a nice armor, i thought. It's a rare one as well. Not many of those are left after the war. In fact Celestia ordered to destroy all of these for some strange reason. I asked myself, could they have a secret? Is that why she wanted them destroyed?
I took off the armor and shook away the thought of going outside with it. It seemed pretty stupid now, considering that she thought it was destroyed.
I went to my bedroom and laid it down in my closet and closed it. I needed some fresh air so I went out for a walk. The first thing i noticed was that it was darker than usual, but i ignored it and started walking towards the forest. It felt kinda warmer than usual. It started to bother me because it was already October and it usually was pretty cold. Weird, i said quietly. It shouldn't be so warm this time of the year.
So i went deeper into the forest, enjoying the environment and the atmosphere of this calm and peaceful place. Or, it was at least calm until i saw the bloody pony laying next to a tree. Carefully i walked closer to it. Are you ok?, i asked. No response. I then noticed that the pony wasn't breathing nor reacting in any way to me. I backed away from the dead pony.
“No...why?”
I had so many questions going around in my head, that i hoped to get an answer on.
I took a closer look at the dead pony. It was an earth pony because it didn't had wings nor horn. I took a closer look at the bloody face, little to close because suddenly, the dead earth pony opened it's eyes and stared at me, into my soul.

I screamed, jumping back from the pony and started running home. It was already getting dark. "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? HOW CAN DEATH COME BACK TO LIFE"!, I screamed.
I runned out from the forest and accidentally bumped into Pinkie Pie
"Hello Lightning. What are you doing in the forest so late?" She said happily, as always
“THERE! IT WAS DEAD...HE..SHE I DON'T KNOW! ! IT WAS DEAD AND NOW ITS ALIVE!!” I screamed
“Is this a guessing game? I loovvvee guessing games. Hmm, let me guess. The moon,” she said hyperly
I stood there staring at the pink pony deeply confused in my minds. I'm just exhausted, thats all. "I didn't touch the pony so it could just be an illusion", i thought
“Yes pinkie, I said smiling. “You guessed it. Its the moon”. Pinkie started talking about how good she is on guessing games and that she always loves to play games.
I told her that i was really exhausted and needed some sleep and she let me go home without trying to get me into another sort of game that she have made up. I went into my house. Did my usual routines. Locked the door, ate some food and showered and then went to bed tired as never before.
I woke up from a filly scream. I shot up from the bed like a bullet to see what's going on. It was 3am in the morning and I started to wonder why a filly was up so late. I looked out in the window and could not believe what i was seeing.
Fire, panic and chaos. I were terrified. What on earth was going on? I said quietly.
I went downstairs and opened my door to see a pony being eaten by what it seemed to be a. Uhh. A mixture of a dead corpse of a pony and a living pony. In horror i slammed the door and locked it for safety. I didn't know what that was but it's better to be safe for the moment. I rushed into my bedroom and opened the closet where my dad's bluish armor was lying. I took it on and adjusted it. I don't know why i took it on but i must have realized that i might not come back.
I took on my settle bag and packed stuff i thought was needed to survive. I heard a grown and scratches of hoofs against my door and windows. THE WINDOWS!? As I realized that the windows are so weak that they could break by a soft hoof stamp the window in the bedroom broke. "A pegasus", i thought realizing that whoever that was , that i couldn't risk to be like the pony at the door. I've read too many zombie books to realize what this could be.
I took my bag, filled to the top with stuff as a bottle with water, canned food and a pocketknife. I stared at the tomahawk laying in the drawer.
I thought for a second of leaving it but hovered it up and started running to the frontdoor. I jumped over the dead pony and started running towards some ponies and asked what had happened and what the panic was all about. They stared at me horrified like I asked the most stupid question. They said that if I wanted to survive i had to run. And run far away.
Then they just runned away and left me standing. I started looking around me and saw burning houses, ponies that I used to know and the..walkers.
I started running away from the town. But, before I were out if the town I saw pinkie again. She didn't look so cheerful. Her hair was grayish and the mane was flat, not curly as it used to.
"Pinkie?" I asked. "Are you ok?"
She slowly turned her head and i saw that it was all bloody. For a moment i thought that she also was a "walker", but then she answered, "it's Pinkamena my friend. And keep quiet, they can hear us".
Well, I got closer to her and whispered "we need to leave! What are you still doing here?”
It was then I realized how stupid I was. I stood in the middle of the street with my tomahawk floating next to me, being technically an open target waiting to be eaten by those... "monsters".
“Look, Pinkie. I'm outa here. I don't know what you're up to so I'm going,” I quietly said.
She just nodded and ran away, not even saying where. So did I, just in the opposite direction.
I ran and ran up the mountains until I saw a cliff, pointing out on the once peaceful and beautiful city. All i saw was fire, horror and that kind of things that would give a filly nightmares for years.
Its crazy how the things you thought would be there forever, still as pretty and beautiful as you remembered them would change so quickly into something a usual pony would have jumped out from the cliff I now stand on.

Chapter 3 (The Vault Of Wonder)
It has been a week now. A WEEK OF THIS HORROR THAT I'VE EXPERIENCED! And it's not close to an end.
I found a dead decapitated pony up this mountain that I'm currently on. Funny enough, it had a radio in its backpack and as well as some food that I could eat.
So when I switched on the radio I surprisingly found a still broadcasting radio station by Dj Pon3.
She got her own radio station?. I was more surprised that she risked her life being there then that she had a radio station. Well as I listened to the podcast I got to know that the apparently "zombies" was a attack from an already ongoing war be ZEBRAS?
I almost lost my breath. Zebras, I thought. They were so nice and polite, or at least it seemed like it.
I packed down the radio and the food into my flank bag and continued walking up the mountain where it seemed mostly safe.
The forest on this mountain seemed to never end. I have been walking for days, but I haven't seen anypony, not even a zombie. I continued walking up the mountain when I suddenly saw a cave.
“Awesome,” I thought. “I can sleep the night here”. I walked future in, seeing that this cave wasn't made by nature, it was made by PONIES!
I continued walking inside the cave when I saw a big...gear wheel rolled into a piece of the wall. I was confused, who would do this? And without anyone knowing about it?
I saw a big sign saying: Stable X. Property of Stable tec.
A vault?.. Stable tec? I got even more confused, but just as I got closer I saw a unicorn standing next to the opening. He or she was clothed in some strange blue clothes with a red stripe on it.
“Hello,” I said looking happy. “ Who are you and what is this?”
The unicorn raised its head and looked at me, one eye blue and one red.
“This, my young gray colt, is stable X , also known as B.S.X.”
“B.S.X?” I said confused. “What's that?”
The reddish unicorn sighed and said slightly irritated:
“B.S.X means Beta Stable X. And before you ask why it's called X its because it’s full name is Beta Stable eXperiment.”
I glanced at the enormous entrance, wondering what's inside. "Whats inside?" I asked engaged.
“The vault is a small town. Enough for a amount of 5000 ponies. Maybe even more. We have everything needed for survival. Hospital, schools, works, fresh water and even more.”
I was shocked. This door, that probably weighed more than 3 tons hide a town in it. I stepped closer to the entrance, glaring onto the red carpet
“EYY!” The unicorn shouted, pointing it's gun me. “You don't have the permission to enter.”
I stood there, considering if my tomahawk had a chance against him.
“Well, I'm so sorry,” I said while walking past him slowly taking out my tomahawk. “You know, you are stupid to TRUST ME!” I screamed, swinging my tomahawk at the unicorn.
Unfortunately this unicorn wasn't so stupid as I thought and blocked the swing, showing me back onto the cave wall.
“You think I'm stupid huh?” He asked. “You know what? “
He raised me up, holding me by my throat with magic, causing me to choke.
“We need ponies with your courage so I'm not going to kill you. Instead…”
He threw me down at the ground and got closer to me, reloading his gun and pointed at me. I heard a loud BANG and then I felt the dart in my neck. I started to feel dizzy.
"What the... you...asshole". I fell down to the ground, asleep, defenseless.
“Hehe. If only everyone made such an easy target, he said as he dragged me inside the vault. “

Chapter 4 (still being written)
Chapter 4
I woke up in a dark room feeling sick and dizzy. I was so weak that my eyes almost refused to open.
"Uurrgghh". I said softly. "Where am I?"
"Welcome." A soft and calm voice from a hidden speaker said. "I see you woke up"
I got so startled from the unexpected answer so I hit myself with one of my hooves.
"Ooouuchhh..Who are you? Or more importantly, where am I?"
"Oh did you lose your mind and become blind, my little pony friend? Or of course, he said. There have been cases when the darts caused temporary amnesia but never blindness."
I blinked, trying to focus my eyesight on where I was.
