*Click click click* Footsteps on metal grate flooding echoed throughout the space shuttle. A loud scrapping ran across the top of the shuttle, "gotcha!" yelled a heavy armored figure said. It raised it's gun and blew a large hole in the ceiling and jumped out. The large monster looked at the armored person aiming it's gun at him. He let out a loud screech and flew at the threat. Quickly it rolled up into a ball and dodged quickly then began to fire at the monster. It flickered it's tailed flipping the heavy figure like nothing. The persons helmet flew off and rolled onto the ground. Blonde hair fell onto a woman's face, she looked at the dragon like monster now walking over to her. Quickly she pulled up her gun and shot a missile at him. It hit dead on sending him fly, he quickly regained his composer and flew into the ship, "oh no you don't!" yelled the woman as she picked up her helmet and jumped back own into the ship.
After searching the ship she just couldn't find the beast anywhere. She came to the core of the ship to think of a plan, but then the dragon flew in and grabbed her from behind and slammed her into the generator cracking a glass casing protecting the energy source. He threw her across the room and she hit the wall with a hard thump. Slowly she got up and began to rush the beast, but she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the core spewing dark smoke into the room. A loud hissing came from the generator as the core energy source began to become unstable, she ran from the room knowing it was bound to explode. Thundering down the hallway she heard a loud bang.
Drifting on some scraps from what use to be a ship she slowly awoke. The entire ship had been blown to pieces and her armor wasn't much different. She began to stand up but fell back down, looking down she saw bone jutting from her leg and a small pool of blood around her injury. The beast was nowhere in sight. Desperately she looked for her communicator in her suit, the screen was cracked but otherwise was just fine.
"Hello, I need you to send help quickly," she weakly spoke into the device. Suddenly she was in the air with a large bony hand around her waist. The monster had survived relatively unharmed except for a few scratches. It looked her in the eye and opened it's large mouth revealing several razor sharp teeth that could easily rip her to pieces. A ripping sound echoed in the distance drawing the monsters attention, it turned around to see pieces of the ship being drawn to a center of some force he couldn't see. The hunter pulled a small knife from the side of her boot and stabbed the horrid beast in it's neck. It dropped her back down onto the metal sheet and flew back. The woman looked up to see the core of the generator floating to the center of the force. The dragon looked back down at her with rage in it's eyes. He raised his sharp tail ready to impale her, but it was interrupted when the core got to the center of the force. A blinding white light flashed for a few seconds then it was over. She looked up to see the dragon was gone and so was most of the scraps from the former ship.
Help arrived and helped her up it to a ship and they began to fly back to the nearest base. A large man walked into the medical wing of the ship and looked over to her.
"Oh so you're the one we had to come and get," he said in a sarcastic tone, "the great bounty hunter Samus needing my help".
She looked over at him with an annoyed expression across her face.
"Just hurry up and fix my leg I need to go and get Ridley, there's a large bounty on him".
The doctor looked over to her confused,
"Ridley? well whatever no one else was out there," he said leaving the room to get some supplies.
She was now confused as well, he couldn't have gone far. It just dawned on her that she didn't see him or scrap metal after the bright flash, could that have something to do with it? She lost her train of thought and just laid her head down and dozed off.
*In the equestrian universe*
A ship arrived at the drop off and out came 8 ponies. A large stallion came to greet them,
"Hello everypony," he said with a smile, "thank you for coming we really are thankful for any help we can get".
"It's nothing at all darling," Rarity said flipping her hair out of her face.
With a smile he lead them into the main bay of the ship, the 8 set down their bags and took a look around the room. "Nice ship," said Shining Armor flopping down on a bench. Big Mac from the opposite side of the room let out a modest eeyup in agreement.
"Well we're not here to sight see, we're here to help clean up," said Twilight making sure everyone was focused on the task at hand.
"Oh come on we can look around for a little bit" Rainbow Dash said hovering in the air.
The stallion that lead them in cleared his throat and spoke, "umm yes anyways we just need some scrap metal cleared up, we're not sure where it actually came from. Most likely it came from a failed mission, but nobody is really sure".
"Well that is quite strange," Twilight puzzled over where it could have possibly came from.
"Well I suppose I should show you your rooms so you can settle down," the stallion said waving the others to follow him. They all walked down the hall and turned down another. The hallway had many windows allowing anyone to view the deep void of space currently littered with scraps. Fluttershy was gazing out a window and saw something fly by in the mess, it was flying extremely fast but she could make out the shape. As fast as it had appeared it vanished. Fluttershy caught up in wonder what it figure was or what it could be walked into Apple Jack. She began apologizing immediately.
"Well here are the rooms," he said as he began to walk further down the hall, "we will start work in the morning, dinners starts at 5:30 and ends at 6:45 sharp so don't be late".
After they set their rooms up they went down to the mess hall. They finally made it after wondering around blindly for a good half hour.
