"Alright class lets review the last question." with that said sitting in this math class only one think comes to mind.
'God damn it this boring' my brain hurt just listening to this women, but I promised Kage I would try and live a normal life. My math teacher was a short woman with shoulder length dirty blonde hair with a simple tight fitting polo shirt and with a short tight skirt that ends just above the knees. Everybody knew that she love to sleep with the young guys, and what better place than a high school.
"Alright class now with your notes review-
RING, RING, RING.
What the hell? That's the fire alarm.
"Class I need you to form up in a orderly fashion and exit the room!" That would be a nice thing to say when you’re not plowing through the students to get to the door first creating mass anarchy. Finally somebody found the door knob.
"Well come on, open it." some of the students were yelling. 'Really people? It's just a fire, it's not like somebody's got a bomb.' Even with the door open nobody would go out to leave, I was almost ready to use shadow magic to shove them out but someone beat me to it.
"Alright shut up. All of you!" I couldn't see who said it but I could tell it had a 2 toned voice and it had authority in the tones.
"I am here to find the one named Drake, he has lied to you and is a monster to both you and me." Wait, what? What would the voice want me for. Sure Kage and I made a few enemies while running around the world, but this voice sounded like it wasn't from the world. I hear some people start talking asking why this woman wanted me. I started to slowly shift into the back of the crowd while they were distracted.
"Why would you want Drake? He has done nothing to stand out? How is he a monster?" That was my best mate, Anthony. The voice walked in and I could finally see what it looked like. It looked like a woman but she had pitch black chitin instead of skin and had holes in her arms and legs. Her hair was a phantom green going straight down the side of her face. She had on a tight dress that left little to the imagination.
I thought with Anthony talking back would phase he but she actually looked bored from his display. I was shocked Anthony stood at a whooping 6' 5'' and was as built as thick as a wall. He was also a master pickpocket and thief. There was this one time that for a prank we sneaked in to the principal’s office and replaced his chair with a fake one with an air bag in it. Let’s just say that Anthony has the best silver tongue in the world, and my math teacher can agree.
I waited for the woman to back down but the horn on her head started glowing the same as color as her hair. There was a blinding flash; I had to look away for a second. When I looked back all I saw of Anthony was ash. 'She... she.... she. Killed Anthony.' That's when I snapped. I felt as if a part of me went missing. True Anthony and I were friends for a couple of years but he was a brother to me and I couldn't think of life without him. Even with him dead and the rage pouring out I kept my cool, but apparently some emotion leaked out because the woman turned to me and smiled.
"There you are. Are you mad that I killed your friend?" She had the nerve to ask it so innocently as if she never meant to do it.
"Why would you kill an innocent ?" I was to the point of throwing myself at her but I knew that would be fatal.
"Because it would be a lot easier to find you if I killed your friends, and look I am almost shaking because of all of the delicious emotion that your seeping." Her eyes had a glazed look to them. She turned back to me.
"And now I have want I came for."
"And what would that be?" I already knew the answer. 'I'm sorry Kage I am going to have to break that promise.' I needed some magic to do what I'm think about. 'She had to have some magic left over from what I assume is a Trans-dimensional teleportation spell. From what Kage taught me was that was a master level spell and should only be done with more than 10 people so you have enough power just to open the gate let alone go through it. While she seemed to bask in her glory on finding me, which I have no idea why, I was busy locating the traces of magic from such an advanced spell. 'Ha, I found it. Ok now to link my magic so I can teleport through the portal.' Once she was done telling everyone the glory of my capture I started to laugh.
"What do you think is so funny you worm!" She screeched at me.
"It's because I now know where you can from and I have to say that such a high level spell preformed by 1 person is quite impressive, but as you are about to see that you. How do you say it, OH yeah! You left the front door wide open!"
With that I teleported the hell out of there through space to god knows where. The ride was quite comfortable so I decided to take a nap on the way there.
When I came too I found myself in-front of a mirror in a dark room. Me being a shadow knight I embraced the darkness with open arms.
"Now to find a way out of here,"
Who was I talking to you might ask? Why myself of course! I looked around for an exit, and being a shadow knight really had its perks. Such as; I could command shadows on a whim, I could blend and encase myself in shadow, and I can also see in pitch black darkness, which is perfect for this situation.
I find a door leading up so I took it. After about an hour of seamless climbing I finally make it to the top to... see... ANOTHER GOD DAMN FLIGHT OF STAIRS !! After this I'm going to turn every flight of stairs into a escalator so that I don't have to climb. After another 2 hours of none stop stairs I make to what appears to be a throne room, there were to thrones that sat upon a dais. One of the thrones looked a little smaller than the other and it had a night time theme to it with a crescent moon on the top. The other throne looked the complete opposite of the other. While the other had a night time theme, this one had a day time theme with all the bright and shiny colors.
"Wow who ever lived here were probably royalty or a very rich person. 'Na it's defiantly royalty no doubt about it.' With that thought I turn around to look at 2 beautiful decorated doors. 'Enough about the doors let’s see where I'm at.' I push open the doors to revel a courtyard but now that I'm looking harder I can see that this place has been abandoned a long time ago. I leave as soon as I can, heading north. Soon I come across a bridge going across a gorge which I can't see the bottom of.
"Well better get a move on I'm wasting moon light." man I really need to work on talking to myself. After I pass, only a few broken boards, I make it to the edge of the woods. Something about these woods rubbed me wrong. I tried to call to the shadows, they didn't respond.
"That's weird. The shadows won’t answer my call. I'm really starting to hate this forest."
I heard some noise off in the distance so I headed that way. On my way there I saw some movement on the edge of my sight, but every time I look it's gone.
"Probably just my imagination." Which I knew wasn't true I could feel their presence since they were using the shadows I could feel them. There were 7 of them, one was bigger than the rest but other than that I couldn't tell what or who they were. A little bit later I get to a clearing with a huge field of flowers nearly as far as the eye could see. Before I reach the opening I hear some laughter. I dove into the bush to avoid attention from whoever is making that noise.
"Come on Pip we're going to miss it!" I looked to see a small child with a light yellow grey-ish coat and a moderate orange mane with a little streak going through it. What really got me was the kid had a camera.
'Huh he's seems to be having fun, but where is the person he called for?' Then I heard the other child run up.
"Hold your horses Feather Weight I'm coming." The kid who said that was running up dressed like... a pirate? 'Yep pirate.'
"Well I wouldn't need to wait if you didn't decide to stop and say hello to Princess Luna before we go get candy. I also need to get some good shots for the Ponyville newspaper."
I watch as the 2 kids head for what I guess is Ponyville.
Crack
I turn to look a little ways away from me to see the 7 beings I felt before. They look just like that woman I saw back at my high school. They had black chitin instead of skin but they had different eyes than the woman. While her eyes showed leader ship their eyes only showed hunger. I realized right then why they were here. They wanted those kids and they were already about to intercept them. I acted before they could get too far. I snuck up behind the farthest one to the back. I molded my shadow to give me a shadow dagger to kill with. I grab his mouth and before he could even take a breath to scream I'd already slit his throat. Moving on to the next one I notice he's talking to another one beside him. 'I'm going to have to get creative.'
I shadow walked a few yards ahead of them waiting. As soon as they came under the tree I slide off the branch and with 2 shadow daggers I stab each in the head. I hold them there in till the last one was far enough where I could drop them. I shadow walk to catch up to him but by then it's already too late. He reached the kids and started to try and eat them, but I finally caught up. I used a shadow spell called Shadow's Law which allows me to kill him if he has wronged before.
As the last of them is dying on the ground I walk up to the children.
"So do either of you know any good burger joints around here?" They look at each other then back to me before they both pass out.
“I wonder why they fainted.” I look behind me to look why and see a gruesome massacre of the bug people. With the blood pooling around the leader it started to run down the hill towards me. ‘Oh so they were scared of the blood.’ I walk over to the kids to see that even with them passed out they both look pretty peaceful.
“Well I might as well get them home; I know I can't just leave them out here." I pick up the 2 kids and start in the direction they were walking before. Not long after I make it to the outskirts of a little village. It was a nice little town and appeared to be medieval styled except for a few buildings. As I was walking I see the town’s people looking at me like I was weird, which I can believe. I mean you teleport into a world with anthropomorphic ponies and bug people. As I was walking through the town I realize that I walk into some kind of festival and to me it looks like Halloween. I see some apple bobbing both, a stall that sold nothing but candy, and last I look to my right and find a big man with a white sheet over his head with eye holes manning a apple stand. I nod to him only to find that he’s not paying me any attention.
“You wouldn’t know where these two come from would you.” I said as I show him the kids. His eyes narrow sending a silent question to me. Why do you want to know?
“I found them at the edge of the forest and they fell asleep at this statue and I decided to bring the home.” The man lessens his stare but still looks like he doesn’t want me with the kids. He then points to a large tree like building in the middle of town. He didn’t need to tell me anymore because his posture said it all. Go there to find out.
"Lyra where are you?!" I look around to see where the voice came from but couldn’t find it. I look back to the man and ask.
“You have any idea what that was?” I said to the huge sheet ghost.
“Nnnope.” Well so much for getting anything out of him. As I walk away from his stall I start to walk in the direction of the building but my vision is blocked out by mint green covering my vision forcing me down to the ground. I start to thrash around trying to knock who or whatever is on me. ‘Huh, do I smell mint?’ I get me arms close to me and push hard enough where the mass wasn’t suffocating me.
"Hey what's the big idea?" Luckily the children fell to either side of me while the mass was still laying on me my. I pushed off the mint green lump to see the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. They were amber with golden flakes burning as bright as a fire in the night. She jumps off me with a heavy blush not looking me in the eyes while I got up. I walk over to the children and I was about to pick them up then head to the tree when I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I look back to the beautiful woman and again I fell into a trance looking into those pools of amber.
“What are you doing with those children?" It took me a second to figure out that she was talking to me, but I could put a train of thought together. I look at her body and realize something. ‘DAT ASS!’ I was almost drooling looking at her butt. Unfortunately I moved my eyes up and see that she’s wearing simple blue jeans but tight enough that they were hugging her figure. I drag my eyes up to see her shirt was a mint green shirt with a lyre on it and again it was tight, so I painfully had to look up. If you had good hearing you could hear that I gave a slight whimper when I had to look up.
"Beautiful." I said in a droopy voice.
"What? What did you say?" She was blushing a little bit but it just made her look a whole lot cuter. I found myself being drawn to her as if she was a life line in a storm. ‘Is this what Kage was talking about by say that there is always someone out there who is the one for you.’ I realize that I’ve been staring, so I straighten up trying to look like I had some manners.
"I meant to say that your eyes are the most beautiful I have ever seen." As soon as I said it she started to blush like crazy.
"W-w-w-what d-do y-y-you mean?" Damn that is so cute the way she stutters. I was about to reply when I heard some groaning. I look to my back to see one of the kids waking up. He yawns while rubbing his eyes, and started to shake his head as if he was try to remember something.
"Hey are you alright. Those monsters didn't hurt you did they?" I ask the one dubbed 'Feather Weight.' He shakes his head a little faster while still rubbing his eyes.
"Uhggg I had the weirdest dream that there was a hairless pony talking to me and Pip." The kid finally started to wake up more because he was screaming the top of his lungs looking at me. He jumped off my arm and fell onto the ground still screaming. I look around and see all of the villagers were looking at us. I could also see the big man coming out from behind his stall cracking his big red knuckles.
"It's you! The one that killed the changeling !" The kid screamed while he ran off into the town. Man you didn't have to screech it you know. I mean my eardrums are still ringing from the teleport spell. After he spoke the cute girl turned to me. I could see that she was a little fearful to speak to me now but still looked like she wanted to say something.
"Did you really kill a changling?" She almost sounds.... thankful but still fearful.
I was at a loss for words. I suspect that those bug people are hated by the people of this world. ‘I’ll have to see into that.’ I look to the woman about to ask her something when I realize that I don’t know her name.
“Oh I forgot to ask. What’s your name?” Her face looks like you could fry an egg on it.
"Oh how rude of me, my names Lyra. I’m a musician and I play the lyre. I also am a professor at the Canterlot University, but I’m on vacation right now. It's nice to meet you. I wanted to know are you heading to the library.” She looks down still having a blush on her face.
“I don’t know. What does it look like?”
“It’s the big tree in the middle of town.” Oh so that’s what the building is. I look and see that the other kid was still asleep. I look back to Lyra and walk over to her and mention her to walk with me.
“Yeah I’m heading there now to try and find where this little guy lives.” After saying this she grabs my hand and starts to drag me towards the library.

As Lyra was dragging me to meet this Twilight Sparkle. She also gave me some cake. Did I mention I'm crazy for cake? As I just finished my cake there was a big explosion in the town square. I look to see what caused it. What I saw would make me hate that bitch till the day I die. I saw Queen bug girl with that same rage expression on her face as she scanned the crowd. As soon as her eyes fell upon mine she smiled this gruesome simile.
"There you are! Do you know how long it took me to find you? Well now I have new plans for you, I mean you aren't even worth the trouble. I have no idea why the old man wanted me to find you. Your weak and you’re a coward!" The insults didn't even touch me, do you want to know why? Because all I could think about was ripping her face off for what she did to Anthony.
"Then why don't you get down here and fight me!" I said while handing the kids to Lyra. I look to her and see that she isn't going for me.
"What's the fun in that? I think I'll have a snack first." She grabs the closest thing to her which happened to be a pink child with a tiara.
"No let me go I don't want to die!" With what the child said reminded me of the ash that was my best friend. I decided to screw Kage's rules while the kid was endanger. It also gave me a chance to kick her ass. I reach behind me to grab a little something Kage left for me. I guess bug girl was confused to see me reach behind me to see nothing. As soon as my hand made contact the charm shattered, reveling a pitch black handle and scabbard. Before I draw I give her one last warning.
"Put the child down now!" I screamed at her.
“Do you really believe that you can order me around." with that she grabs the child's arm sinking her fangs into the soft flesh. Blood started to drench the child and monster alike. The child's screams could be heard from miles away. That was enough, I shadow walked right in front of her, surprising her enough to make her let go. As soon as she let go I sucker punched her out of the town far enough where she landed in a field.
"Alright you asked for this"
I slowly pull out my sword letting the moon light catch on the polish black blade. I raise that blade to a novice stance, remembering one of Kage's first lessons.
"It's always best to rely on the basics." I then what for her to make the first move. Watching her tense in certain areas I already knew where she was going.
"Are you just going to stand there all day or are you going to fight?" I yell at her and it seems to do it as she screams then charges me. I side step out of the way looking for holes in her armor and plates. I could tell that she was somewhat skilled in CQC, but not as good as me. I switch the grip on my sword to backhand and duck just in time to avoid a mule kick from her.
After her leg gets far enough where it's not directly over me, I use an upward slash with my sword. She sees it coming so she tries to dodge it by jumping away. She almost got away but not before I cut a long but shallow cut on her abdomen. From far away it looked like nothing but from where I was you could tell that she needed help. Then I see her horn glow again and I'm shocked at what I see. The cut starts to heal at an incredible rate. The only person I've seen do healing magic was Kage and he could only do minor cuts. Her, she healed a wound that would take me 2 days to heal from with Kage's healing magic.
I then decide I need to go for the horn. I charge her then change direction going for a circle flanking movement. I see that she was keeping up with me. 'Crap that means I have to go faster!' I reached under my right arm sleeve to revel a chain with a Rosario at the end, but what surprises everyone is that the stone is as black as knight and the metal is made out of pure silver. I got this after Kage and me ran into some werewolves in Germany.
"Let’s see how you like this." I said as I rip the seal of the chain. Nothing really happens when I do this except that my power triples and keeps growing the longer the seal is broken. The only drawback is that after awhile it starts to take my life energy too. After the last chain fell off the ground around me turned black and died. I look the bug to see that see has a fearful expression. I know why, another thing happens when I break the seal. All of my body gets enveloped in shadows but my face, and everything double down to my senses. My eyes also change, the whites of my eyes turn black and the color in my eyes drains to a ghostly white.
"See what you made me do. You made me transform into my shadow form." I ran in front of the queen but to anybody else they wouldn't have ever seen a blur. I look to her to see her jump back but I grab her neck in a vise grip. I started to strangle her with both of my hands harder and harder. I want to break her neck, I want to rip her apart, I want to mutilate her!
(End of music)
"Stop Drake this isn't you. What happened to the little kid that wanted to solve everything with peace." I look to my right to... see...
"Kage!" I drop the bug and run to my old mentor and figure father. I was about to tackle him when a invisible force hit me sending my back a couple of inches. I look to Kage to see what it was and I saw him with a pained expression. I have never seen him look so sad before, it was eating me up to see him like this. I soon got my answer.
"Drake I am sorry, but I have to kill you." And with that he took out an exact replica of my sword and charged.

Death feels like swimming
I looked down to see a blade in my chest, it felt cold. I must have heard screams but I was already losing conscious. I look to see Kage one last time, and what I saw brought tears to my eyes. He did even flinch when he drove his blade through my chest, and the face he has now says one think. 'You must die.'
"Why?" I could barely get the word out with out spitting blood up.
"Because you have to die, and I'm the one that has to do it." He says as he yanks the sword right out making blood come out faster. I fall to my knees looking at the ground wondering if all of the memories I made with Kage were all linked to this point. I hope Lyra and the children are ok. I turn to face Kage, putting on my most threatening face.
"If you dare harm any of them, I will come back just to kill you." I said looking at him. He just looks back at me and then just before he can deliver the final blow a mint green blur clouds my vision. I hear metal pierce flesh and the screams of pain. Wait that voice belongs to Lyra! I look closer at the green to notice that it is stained with red. The blade past clean through her chest and the end of the blade was only an inch from my throat.
"Ok what's go- Lyra! By order of Princess Twilight Sparkle, I order you to put her down!" I know no matter who you are you don't tell Kage to do, but surprisingly he put her down only to charge a teleport spell. I hear one last thing before I pass out.
"Tell dear old Celly that because of your actions of harboring a monster, you have started a war with the Shadow Knights. You have been warned." with that he vanished to god knows where.
"Hurry get Lyra and this 'thing' to the hospital." WAIT did she just say thin-BLACKOUT
"Huh why do I feel so cold?" I looked around and found nothing but darkness. Usually I find comfort in darkness but this darkness stinks of death. Before I could do anything else a voice spoke with enough force to move a mountain, and it was playing in side my skull.
"Ah, young one I have waited many centenaries for your arrival." I look to find a man dressed in grim reaper cloths except that he has a massive sword instead of a scythe.
"Who are you?"
"I am in mortal terms 'Death' but you may call me Mortem. I am here because you have died on the mortal plains, and your power has awakened enough to seek me out. I need to tell you this it it very important" Man this guy is awesome.
"You, my boy have a fr greater power in you then you believe. It is something of great importance that will no doubt help you on your mission to stop Kage and the shadow knights from killing everything you love." Wait I am a shadow knight so why do they want to kill me? I hear a rumble off in the distance, and when I look I can see a light.
"Now listen to me we don't have much time. Go to the crystal mines up north and dive to the lowest part, there you will find a door with my symbol on it open this door and it will grant you a special power." The light in the distance is getting brighter to the point it's starting to hurt.
"I must go now take this knowledge and seek it out. Y will make many friends an enemies but don't let that drag you down." I look to Mortem to find that with the light coming it is also pushing the darkness away. After I saw the light take over all of the shadow I could finally open my eyes. I didn't see anything at all. All I saw was white everywhere. After what felt like an eternity the whiteness started to slowly fade into softer colors and shapes.
"Look he's finally waking up!" I open my eyes to see those beautiful amber golden eyes,
""Hello Lyra how are-" I couldn't get another word out because as so as I started talking Lyra reached behind me and dragged me into a kiss! Wow her lip are so soft they felt like warm clouds. I could feel her tongue asking for permission, I let her in no problem. The kiss lasted for about 3 mins before I noticed somebody else in the room.
I broke away from the kiss to show that we had a guest. I turn to look at the person. As soon as I mention that we had a visitor Lyra jumped of the bed.
"princess Sparkle, I'm really glad you can be here." she bowed to the person. the woman completely ignores her and walks straight up to me.
SLAP
Did...did that bitch just slap me? I turn back too her to see hat he mane was on fire and she look mad.
"How dare you put one of my little ponies endanger! Not only that but because of you hanging out with Lyra sparked a war between us and somepony we don't even know! I here by arrest you for crime against Equesrtia. GUARDS!!" 2 guards swooped in right behind her.
"Throw this thing in the canterlot dungeons." The guards intercepted me on each side and carried me out and from there we traveled about half a day to Canterlot just to be thrown in to a cell that far to small for me.
"Great what am I going to do now?" I asked myself as I went to sleep.

Time to get serious. Then party
I wake up to shouting out side of my 'box'.
"Princess Luna the prisoner has been asleep for hours. I think it needs its rest."
"You dare to stop us from seeing a prisoner in our own dungeons?!" God damn, why not just throw a grenade in here and tell me.
"Would you shut the hell up! I'm trying to sleep in here." With out looking I hear the door open.
"Face us monster so that we may see way young Sparkle has thrown you in here." I turn around to see another pony but this one was different. She was a dark shade of blue in her coat. Her mane was ethereal and she had both wings and a horn. During the short time I was with Lyra I saw all different types of ponies. I asked Lyra about it.
"Oh you see there are three types of ponies. You have the earth pony." Which she said while pointing to what looked like a human but had a orange coat and was sporting a stetson. she then pointed to a grey woman who was cross eyed and had wings on her back.
"You also have pegasus." Then she pointed to herself.
"Then last you have unicorns."
After remembering what Lyra told me I look to the new on in front of me.
"So what are you? Are you some kind of combination of unicorn and pegasus?"
"No we are an alicorn." Why does she keep saying we, there's no one else in here. I remember the little chat I had with Mortem. 'I need to get to the north. Lets she if she can give me any info. But not before I charge up some magic for a long distance teleopor.'
"Ok before we begin I will ask you this is any mines up north from here?"
"Yes but way would you ask that?" Well lets see if my silver tongue improved.
"Well you see I am not a liberty to tell you because that would put me at a disadvantage and give you new power in which you can not control."
"Welp you dare say that we are weak! I shall have your head for this!" Man she looked furious. 'I guess I could teach her a lesson I have a little left over magic from charging the spell.'
"Oh I dare and do you want to know some thing Princess. I control the power in which you will never gain understanding in because you are weak of spirit!" I then force her against the wall with her own shadow. I slowly walk over to her taking my time while the guard is trying to get in.
"You can never control this power. The only reason I can control this is because I saw my entire family tore limb from limb and had their blood drawn like water. I sat there and watched knowing I could not do anything for them except hide while demons ripped them apart." I was boiling with rage from the memory. Looking into her eyes I saw them tearing up.
"We are sorry we did not know." She was on the verge of tears.
"I don't need your pity I lost all of my sanity that night. Now I watch from the shadows helping those who need it. I trained for the past 17 years just to learn how to control the burning power inside of my, so DO. Not. Give me your god damned pity ." Ok I need to leave before I do something I'll regret. I released the shadows on her watching her fall to the ground crying.
"I am sorry. That memory blinds me with rage. I must go now I need to fin some thing." I teleoported having no idea where I would end up in the north. I look around for anything and far off I see lights from a city. 'Why the hell a city would be out here is just un-fucking believable.'
I arrived at a shield shortly after teleoporting. I see that the shield is just for keeping the weather out side, so I step through the barrier. After I cross the barrier I come in contact with a crystal. I look around the crystal to see a entire city made out of fucking crystal! I sneak into the city, and get as close to the main building as possible. I was about to cross when I remembered in Ponyville, so I use the shadows to remake my appearance into a pony.
I look down and see that my body is covered in black clothes hiding all my skin. I start across the street and end up under the castle. What death said about the mine sorta sparked something in me, like I could tell exactly where the power death was describing. It felt like I was right above it. I look down and charge my magic to my hands, then I slowly start to lean down. I put my hands on the ground and almost instantly the feeling I had exploded telling me I was right above it. I charged up my magic a second time letting it seep through the cracks in the stone.
Not long after my magic finds a cavern bigger the a aircraft hanger about 100 feet below me. I charged up a spell to drag me to the cavern through the shadow world. I end up 200 feet in the air.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHH !" Yep such a manly scream. as I was falling I could see that the walls were made up of crystals, hell everything in here was made of crystals. When I reached the 40 foot range I used my magic to start slowing me down, so instead of hitting the for going 100 mph I only hit it at 20. The impact left a small crater in the crystal but still hurt like hell. 'Thank you training, you saved my ass yet again.' I crawl up to the edge of the crater looking to see if the door was in here. After about an hour of looking I felt that surge of power again from the far side of thr room.
I walk over to the source and sure enough there it is, it even has Mortem's symbol. I reach out to push it and the closer I get the brighter the symbol starts to glow. I push the door far enough where I can slip through. After I slip through I look around to find nothing but a walk way leading to the middle of the room to a dais. On the dais was a gauntlet made of some type of black metal and it had a small dark crimson orb on the top of the hand. I walk over to It waiting for something to happen because you don't just leave an artifact from death himself out in the open.
I soon stand on the dais looking at the artifact I reach out for it, but then a flash comes from behind me. I spin around to see a kid about my age with a sword on his shoulder wearing a cocky grin n on his face. He also had black armor with the symbol of the shadow knights on it.
"So you the guy I've been sent to kill. You don't look like much to me." Before he can do anything else I slip the gauntlet onto my right arm. As soon as my finger tips touched the end there was a flaming hot pain going up my arm. It was so bad I fell to one knee.
"Tsk Tsk. You shouldn't have done that because now you can't fight me while the gauntlet chooses whether or not to to accept you." After looking over me again making sure I wouldn't try anything he rushed me. I took all I had just to dodge him, let alone fight him. I begged for the gauntlet to hurry up, and almost as soon as the new guy was upon me there was a explosion shaking me to my very core. I could feel changes being made to me as well as power flooding through me.
"What? NO! They said the gauntlet wanted me so why did the worthless thing chose you?" He yelled at me. I get up to look at him.
"Because did death himself say you could have it. No? Then you do not deserve it!" I grab my sword with my new gauntlet and draw it to watch as it starts to change and grow bigger. The handle starts to turn silver like my rosario and shapes to more of a horned type of hand guard. the Blade grows another edge and becomes a little thicker. I look at my new blade than back at the shadow knight.
"You sir, picked the wrong guy to mess with."

One day a shadow. The next day, the darkness
I pull off the rosario and watch his face become almost terrified. I soon feel that something is wrong with the transformation. I look down to see something weird with my body. Instead of seeing normal shadows covering my body, I see that my body is slowly transforming to scales made out of pure darkness. The scales started from my chest and spread in all directions all over my body. Soon the scales make it to my neck but I didn't want them to cover my face so the kid could see who killed him.
For some reasons the scales listened to my request. I feel my eyes change but not like normal. I summon a mirror to look at my face and what I saw shocked me to my core. My eyes still had the same color scheme with the black and white, but what shocked me was my iris turn into a slit like a dragons. I also notice even though I was looking straight ahead I could still 'see' what was behind me. I lower the mirror to look at the shadow knight.
"Now do you see! The reason you could not possess this power is because you don't have enough darkness!" I lift my new sword eye level with him.
"Now you die!" I charged him with a feral like scream lifting my blade. I lashed downward only for him to jump back. I charged energy into my blade to make it go faster. Instead my energy focuses on the edge of the blade and jumps outwards in a slash like motion. I look to the kid to see that he was just as surprised as me. Unfortunately form him, he could not move in the middle of the air.
I watch as the energy connects with his sword as he tries to block. That one move just saved his life but my energy was still to strong for him to stand against. My slash sends him flying into the doors at break neck spends. 'Damn he would make the Blue Angels proud.' He hit the doors hard enough where I heard some crack, but what really shocked me was that after he made contact with the doors he didn't stop. The force was enough to break the ancient doors from their hinges and fly a good 10 feet.
'Wow. Was my slash that powerful?' I walk towards the kid taking my time. I walk up to him looking to see what those crack were. I see multiple broken bone and some were even poking through the skin. I look to the doors to see that where he hit actually left a crater and the hinges look like somebody took a wood cutting chainsaw to metal with out breaking the chain. I look back to the kid to see that he was starting to cry.
"I'm sorry masters. He was just to strong." I walk into his line of sight. looking into his eyes I see fear to such a degree that I almost cringe.
"Demon! You are a monster! Now I see why they want to kill you. With how much power you just used I say the only one that can kill you is Kage."
"Oh fret not my friend I'm not going to kill you." For a brief moment I see relief in his eyes.
"No I'm going to make an example of you." I grin menacingly taking out my sword again. I look too see the fear taking place again. I leave the tip of my sword on his forehead.
"I'm going to carve my new symbol into your forehead and send you back to let them know not to mess with me. For I am no looker Drake of the shadow knights, I am now Nox the embodiment of darkness and shadow. You will go to you masters and tell them that to fight me they will have to use magic other than shadow because I can now do this." I reach down and touch his forehead with my index finger. As soon as my skin makes contact I could feel his magic flow into me filling me with more power. I stand back up and start charging my magic to send him back to the Black Citadel.

"What... what was that? It feels like all of my power is gone."
"Thats because it is. I sucked out nearly all the magic in your body and made it my own. I have one last thing to say to you before I send you back." I say as I carve my symbol into his forehead.
"I want you to tell them that this world has nothing to do with this war and that if you kill any of them I will unleash Judaei on the Citadel." I find the traces of his teleportation spell in the room. I drag him over to the rift, hearing his screams of pain of me grabbing the bone poking out instead of his leg. I throw him in front of the rift letting him cough up blood and scream in pain. I look to where the rift is charging up my magic to open it. Soon after the rift opens to show the council room of the Citadel. I look through the rift to see the council members looking at me in fear and determination. I pick up the baby be the shin bone again just to rip it out and through it like a spear nicking the ear of the head councilor. I throw the screaming kid through the rift watching him hit the floor in pain.
"This is what you get for messing with me. I will fight you in this war but You. Will. Not hurt the people of this world. for if you do I will personally show up in the middle of the Citadel and unleash 'Judaei' on all of you." I look to see that after saying Judaei that all of the council members are shaking in fear.
"How can you a lowly S class fighter preform the legendary spell of the shadow lord. You are not worthy of even speaking of that spell!"
"One thing you forget is." I lift my gauntlet to show all of the council. If fear was a gas I couldn't even see the council. I than shut off the power to to the rift watching as the hole slowly closes, but not before I hear.
"We will find you and kill you." Man if I had a nickle for every time I heard that. After the rift closes I fall to one knee watching my power slowly seep into the rosario. 'Damn I thought I could go a little longer.' I grab the rosario and reattach it to feel all of my power return. I stand back up and look at my sword's new appearance. 'I like the new look.' One thing though the old name doesn't sit right with with your new form. 'I think I'll go with 'Musaboru'. Yeah that sounds like a good name.'
I walk back out to the cavern and look around one last time. How a city made of crystal can sit on top of this place is amazing! I walk into the middle of the cavern to try a new spell since I have enough power. I look up to the roof which I fell from earlier. I focus magic into locating a annoying blue alicorn for me. I find her flying... right above... the city. 'God damn it! How did she know I would be here.' I do a short distance teleport to the outskirts of the city. I was just about to step out of the bubble when a blast of magic hit me in the back sending me flying into the freezing snow!
"There you are we have been looking everywhere for you. You are to come back to Canterlot for a public execution and be burned to ash."
"And why would I do that?" I said while getting up. That magic bolt didn't really do anything except piss me off. I was going to bitch slap this woman.
"Because you assaulted royalty, in our own dungeons no less!" I turn too look at the moon girl. I start to charge my magic into a long distance teleport to the a place I saw on a map. It looked like a volcanic area and should be ideal for setting up a base camp.
"I told you I was sorry for that, but now you can't touch me. I would suggest turning around and walking back to the castle so I don't cuntpunt you back to Canterlot." Oh shit I should not have said that.' I start charging my magic even faster. 'Come on almost there.'
"I will ignore that commit because it's our duty to bring you back. I must ask, why do you think that we cannot touch you?" I had to grin at that.
"Because dear princess, the power I told you about. Well I found it and it has made me the embodiment of darkness and shadows, so in other terms I have enough power to shroud the entire world in darkness." At that her eyes grew to the size of dinner plates.
"But I would never do such a thing. I will tell you this more humans are coming and I suggest you sign a pact with then to find me for if you say no to them. Well lets just to say that there is one person that can go against you and your sister and still live. I also have one last thing to say." 'Finally the spells done.'
"And what is that?"
"Tell Lyra if she wants to hangout sometime tell her to call Nox three times in a dark room." With that I set of to the volcanic lands.

I soon land an a field of roc-
"uuugggrrrhh " Damn it' I thought while I was hurling my guts out. 'I for one, am NEVER doing that again.' I look around to see that I'm in a field of ash and rock. And as it turns out I landed in the middle of FUCKING nowhere.
"Great, Just FUCKING great. I had to land in the middle of nowhere!" I look around for a second time to see something sparkle in the distance. I run in the direction of the sparkle to find that it had to be at least a mile or 2 away. 'Did the gauntlet give me super human vision now. AWESOME!'
I arrive to find the sparkle to be a ruby stuck half way out of the ground. I pull it out to revel that it isn't a normal ruby. For one it looked to have a mini fire burning in the core of the rock. Second it was shaped like a heart and that is just weird.
"Hey who and what are you?" what how could somebody sneak up on me. I turn to look to see a anthro dragon with black scales and looked to be female. She also had those same beautiful eyes as Lyra. I glance back to ruby then back to her.
"Why do you want this? What is it? And to answer your question I'm Nox and I'm a human." I hold the ruby at my side to make sure that she can't it without pinning me. I look into her eyes again to see a little bit of anger and curiosity.
"Look just give me the ruby I'm starving and that's the only eatable thing I've seen in days, so please can you give it to me." It sounded more like a demand then a question. I see we're going to get along swimmingly. I slowly take the ruby back out to she her eyeing it hungerly.
"All you could of said was that. I really don't someone with such beautiful eyes to starve." She blush at my comment.
"I don't have beautiful eyes. Your just saying that to lower my guard. I've meet people like you, so it won't work." She got that angry flare back in her eyes. 'Well I can tell that she is a seasoned traveler, so why not ask her where any towns are.' I walk over to her to she that she gets in a defensive stance, but I keep walking over to her. I was just in kicking range when I told her.
"Look I didn't want to lower your guard and if I wanted to kill you, you would already be dead. I am just over here to give you this and ask if you know any towns near by." I hand her the ruby waiting for her to take it. She loosens her stance but was still ready to jump at a moments notice. she takes the ruby and eats the thing whole! She starts like her fingers after she is done. NO, I will not think dirty thoughts, I will not think dirty thoughts.... I punch my thigh to stop the boner that was coming. She looks up to me confused.
"Umm... there was a... desert rat in my pants!" I sputter out. She doesn't look like she bought it but thank god she left it alone. She started to rummage in her bag and that's when I realize that... she's .... not wearing any clothes! Fuck no thinking dirty thoughts. I turn around as soon as I can focusing on the volcano in the distance.
"Why did you turn around?" Really she doesn't know!
"Because you don't have any clothes on!" I hear a cute little squeak and then some shifting cloth. after a little bit I hear.
"Ok you can turn around now." I turn around to have my breath caught in my throat. She was wearing a skin tight black shirt that only went down to the top of her stomach. She was also wearing skin tight blue jeans that showed of her curves real nicely. 'DAT ASS! As I was thinking about this my nose started to bleed.
"Yeah sorry about that. I'm usually in the wild so I don't really wear clothes a l- Oh my Celestia you nose is bleeding!" She runs over to me only to trip on a rock and fall. I try to get under her to try and stop her fall, but end up tripping on a rock too. I open my eyes to look at those beautiful orbs of amber gold. I then realize that she was only centimeters from my face and our noses where touching. Thinking on instinct I lean forward and kiss her. She was surprised but soon faded as she moaned in my mouth from the kiss.
After about 10 minutes of a make out session I break of leaving her gasping for air. I then reminded myself of Lyra and how the kiss we shared had the same spark as the one just now.
"You know what I just realize? I don't even know your name." I laugh at the irony.
"Oh how rude of me, my name is Ash and I'm a black dragon!"
"Well I can see that." I laughed at her. Her face started to blush and buff out a little bit. Then I remembered the kiss.
"Oh Shit!"
"What? What is it?"
"I kinda already am dating somebody." I look to her face to see sadness, but what I get is a fit of laughter.
"Oh man, yeah you cannot be from around here, and never heard of the herd system." I can only describe the look on my face as 'da fuck'.
"It's where you can have more than one relationship with somebody." I look to her to see that she is a inch from my face.
"That means that this is ok." With that she kisses me with just as much passion as before. After another 5 minutes we decide to head to the nearest town. Which Ash told me it was a weeks journey west to a town called Dragonville.
"So other then being my girlfriend, what were your plans?" She blushes a little bit for the first mile where I decided to hold hands with her. After a while she got use to it and snuggled up closer to me.
"Well I was planning to reach Dragonville to start a new life."
"But from what you told me, it's a weeks journey from here."
"It is, but some mean dragons took my food and tried to rape me." She looks up to see the rage in my eyes and my body was shaking. she snuggled up closer trying to calm me down.
"Don't worry though. I tricked them by asking them to turn around so I could get some fresh clothes on. My Celestia were they stupid." I had to laugh at that. Soon after the day was slowly turning into night, so we decided to make camp. After I made a tent with magic I laid down with her beside me using my chest as a pillow.
"I'll wake you if anything comes up ok." I said as I kissed her snout.
"Your not going to sleep?"
"I can't, that's one of the drawn backs with this power. I can't go to sleep because I'm constantly filled with energy, and I can't slow it down long enough where I can get some shut eye. Don't worry I'll see you in the morning." I snuggle up closer to her waiting for her to got to sleep.
An hour after she fell asleep I decided to step out. I sat on the ground looking up to the night sky final slowing down long enough to think about the past couple of days. As I start to think tears flow from my eyes as I think about Kage's betrayal. He was the man that trained me, feed me, and care for me like a father would. So why in all of oblivion would he betray me? I think back to happier times since if been here. I think about the friends I made in Ponyville, even if there are only 3. 'I wonder how Lyra is doing.'

A week later
Me and Ash have been walking for a week now. We both know that Dragonville should be coming into in a little bit. I look to see the beautiful dragon on shoulder and thinking to myself. 'I would never have gotten a giel like Ash or Lyra back on earth. I'm glad I came here.' I turn back towards the horizon to see a faint outline in the distance.
"Look Nox it's Dragonville!" I look to Ash to see her beautiful eyes filled with love looking at me. I lean down and kiss her for a good bit savoring the spicy taste of her mouth.
We soon make it to town and see mostly dragons with a bit of ponies here and there, but I saw something else that I've never seen before. I saw another anthro like person but they were mixed with what looked like hawks and lion. I lean down and ask Ash what they were, she surprised me with what she said.
"Oh them, they're Griffons. They come from the norther part of the world where there is mostly mountains." I look to see the 2 griffons gone. I survey the town to try and find a hotel or tavern, when I saw another human. I panicked a little when I saw him, and when I mean panicked, I ran across the street full speed and tackle him into an alley way before anybody can see him. As I pin him down I see a dragon like symbol on his shoulder that reminds me of a shadow rune the shadow knights use. My first thought was that he's a shadow knight. I soon realized that this was false when the rune slide up his shoulder and on to his face
After the rune got to his face I saw the rune peel itself of of the man. The rune transforms into a small normal looking dragon with black scales. I realize that this creature is a shadow beast that Kage some times had to look for back home. The kid fought to get me off of him only to freeze when he sees Ash walk up behind me.
"What are you doing here? Are you a shadow knight?" I grab his writs and hang him upside down 10 feet in the air. I look to find his shadow beast trying to free him.
"Do not fret young one I just want to know why you are on this world. I know you can not be a shadow knight for you have a shadow beast, so all I have to say now is. Who are both of you and how did you get here," I said starting to lower the boy to the ground.
"Well I'm Drew and this is-"
"My name is Artmus." I look over to the dragon with no surprise.
"Well that answers one question now on to the next one." I look back to see Ash leaning against the wall snaking on some gems we found while traveling.
"Well I was living a normal teenage life when out of nowhere Artmus shows up in my back yard hurt and scared, so I nursed her back to health. One day these guys in black robes show up on my door step asking to see her. At first I thought that they were her friends, but something was of about them. When I asked about their order they said they were an underground organization named the shadow knights. I knew that they were bad news so I told them that they couldn't see her, and then they got mad threatening me if I didn't show her to them. I told them to fuck off. One of the men pulled out a sword and stabbed me with it then everything went black. I woke up to find myself in my bed with Artmus right by my side telling me that as soon as the guys killed me that they searched the house looking for her, that she hide in the shadows of the tress outside. After they left she draged me up to my bed and bonded with me to heal me. Soon after that day more showed up, but this time they had a black box with them. They said that I'd seen to much and was going to be sent away, and thats when I find my self here."
I look at him with admiration on how he handled the situation. I get off of Drew and walk over to Ash kissing her on the cheek.
"So why didn't you warn me Artmus. It could have been a mugger."
"Why not it was funny to see you so surprised." The small black dragon started laughing at the last part. Ash and I walk back to the entrance of the alley. I glance back over my shoulder to see Drew still trying to get to his feet.
"So do you two have anywhere to sleep tonight or is this alley to comfy." I hear Ash chuckle beside me. I use my magic to produce some of this world currency after I had Ash explain the worth of each coin and what they looked like. I produce about 100 'bits' as Ash calls them. I hand 50 to Drew but he soon gives them back.
"One thing. Are you going to Ponyville by any chance?" Huh I had not thought about that. 'I really need to see Lyra again.'
"I think we will. Why, do you want to join us?" He nods
"Well then if we're going to leave tomorrow then we better get some shut eye." I said as I walk towards a tavern I spotted earlier . I look up to see that the tavern's name is 'The Prancing Pony'. I busted out laughing at the name. The others looked at me with confused faces.
"Never mind, it reminded me of something back on my world." I soon push the door open to see the whole tavern filled with drunkards and mercenaries. I walk up to the counter and ring the bell 3 times.
"All right I'm coming, I'm coming." The counter runner was a middle aged man with a light brown coat and had a tan mane.
"Yes I would like to purchase two rooms, both with a single bed." I look over to Ash and wink causing her to blush. The man then takes my shadow cash and gives me 2 keys.
"Would you like me to show you your rooms?"
"No thank you, but where may we find them?" He points down the hallway on our right.
"Your rooms are the last two doors on the right, have a nice night." With that he walks away as we walk towards are rooms. I enter my room to find that the bed I found was a queen sized bed and looked quite comfy. It was made out of old oak and has been worn down over the years of service. I fall into bed and pull the covers up to allow Ash to cuddle next to me. Soon she falls asleep and I start to think about the times we shared in the little time we have had together.
After about 5 hours after Ash and I got into bed I hear a big thump right next door. I pull out my blade and charge into the room to find Drew forcing down a light blue mare with a dark blue and white mane. I walk over to the and pick Drew off the mare and carry him out. Before she could call for help I put pressure on a nerve in her neck to make her pass out, I laid her in a chair in front of the counter with a note saying.
Sorry about this. She came on to my friend and tried to rape him. My most sincere apologies

"Oh this is just too fun!" I scream at the top of my lungs flying through the air.
"I am going to BUCKING kill you!" Awwww Ash your so cute when you want to decapitate me. I laugh at her and how she's holding on for dear life. I look to the ground and see Drew's bike speeding a little way behind me. We have been traveling for a week now without incident and were only about a day away from the next town. I turn back to wants in front of me too see a rift opening up above me. Not knowing what it is I decided to nose dive to try and get to Drew and Artmus. When I catch up I signal them to slow down. When the finally stop Drew looks at me like somethings wrong.
"Take Ash now!" I let go of Ash and speed of back towards the rift. I get to the rift in ten seconds flat thanks to my speed. I hover there flapping to maintain my position. After a little bit I hear a roar from the rift, and not knowing what's going to come through I fly up out of the way. Good thing too because as soon as I flew up a slim black dragon flies under at nearly mach 1. As soon as it's tail leave, the rift starts to close again. I turn around to get a lightning bolt to the face. I fall for a good 5 seconds losing a good bit of air.
"So your Nox the infamous ex-shadow knight. I had better hopes for you, but it seems to me that you are as slow as a rock." I look to the neck of the dragon to see a blonde haired kid that looks a little bit older than me waving a staff around. He was also wearing the traditional shadow armor of a S class fighter. He grabs a spine of the dragon and whispers something in it's ear. No later then a second the dragon was already nearly to me.
"Oh shit" I dived, narrowly missing the dragon. I feel magic charging above me. 'Damn I really shouldn't have given them that warning about shadow magic.' I dodge again looking for him but I couldn't find them. I felt air on the back of my neck move slightly I duck just in time to avoid the dragon biting my head off. 'Ok I've had enough of this.' I pull out my sword and wait for them to appear again. Sooner then I hoped I got my wish because I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I duck and swing around with my sword hoping to strike a hit, and as luck would have for me I did. Right across the dragons chest cavity. The dragon roared in pain and lost some air from forgetting to flap. 'Ok it's time to ground this fight.' I wait again for them to attack from behind. Again I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up again. 'Man these guys are predictable.' I duck once again, but this time I try and aim for the wings. I nicked the right one but enough for the beast to roar in pain. Taking this to my advantage I charge them and land on the dragon's back.
"So you wish to fight me on my dragon's own back. You are truly foolish."
"Who said I was up here to fight you." I grinned menacingly at the kid. For a second I saw confusion in his eyes, but they turned to fear when I slashed the webbing in the dragon's wing. I saw him try and heal the wound but with air going through the hole and ripping it bigger there was no way to heal it. Knowing that this was going one way fast I jumped of and spread my wings and flew back to the ground and wait for them. After about five minutes I see the dragon roaring and turned around and folded the boy in his wings and waited for the impact. To say the impact was huge is an understatement, for the shock wave was enough to knock me off my feet. I get up and walk to the edge just to have my daily course of lightning and blood.
"I will kill you for killing Ventis!" The boy said while walking up the crater. He had rage in his eyes, and I could feel the magice seeping off of him.
"Oh this is going to be interesting." I grin like a maniac waiting for him to charge. He doesn't disappoint. He charges me turning his staff into a long sword. We both collide with our blades meeting in the middle. With our fight our magic starts to change the weather because it's starts to rain. We pay little heed to it as we both charge again. I slash downward charging my blade with magic but the kid blocked with his own. It stayed like this for awhile where no one could gain leverage. After awhile I come up with a new plan, and this is gonna rock. He charges me again but instead of moving my sword to block I let him stab me in the stomach.

'I actually got him this time! I finally landed a blow.' I watch as he lowers his head and starts to go limp. 'Oh thank god he's finally-' I felt something cold slash my arm off ans with it came indescribable pain. I started to scream.

Hearing the kid scream just seemed to fuel me more as I slide off his blade. I was still grinning like no tomorrow. After the kid stopped screaming he did something surprising, he turned his sword back to a staff and cast a fireball spell on his arm. 'That's badass.' He soon got over the shock of losing his arm because his face went back to anger and determination.
"I am going to kill you!" He screamed charging me again. I lost a lot of blood with the stunt I pulled. I slowed down too much and started to take more and more hits while I was trying to defend myself. I decided that this was going nowhere fast and needed more power. I reach to tear of my seal for the rosario but it wouldn't come off.
"I put a spell that makes it were you can't remove the seal. Now die!" I take my hand off the seal and move my hand in front of me and I caught the blade in mid-strike. 'God! That hurts like hell.' While holding the blade I brought my sword up and giving the kid one last look I drove the blade through his heart. Once the life left his eyes I dropped to my knees from exhaustion, and pass out.

After Nox left me with Drew I begged him to follow them but he said he couldn't do anything in the air. I started to worry about him so I started to run in the direction in which they were flying in. I hear Drew ride up beside me looking at me.
"Need a ride." He said while holding out his hand for me. I take it and hope on behind him and wrap my arms around him. 'Awww look at that he's blushing.' After ride for what feels like forever we feel and huge shock wave that send the bike flying. In midair Drew spins around and does a flip and lands gracefully on his feet, me well I got a face full of dirt. I get back up to see a dust cloud a little ways off so I start running. I soon come to the battlefield in which Nox was just to see him take a sword to the stomach. Something broke inside me when I saw that, it was like a little piece of me just dissipated. I fall to my knees when I see his body go limp, but I was relieved when he looked up and slashed the kid's arm off. I watch as the boy singed his arm to stop the bleeding. Soon Nox catches his blade and drives his sword through the kid's heart. After they both fell I ran over to Nox to see multiple wounds all over his body and he has lost a lot of blood. I blow fire on him to close most of the wounds even if I burned him in the process. I look over my shoulder to see Drew and Artmus behind me.
"We have too help him now!" I screamed at them, tears in my eyes. Artmus changed to a little extension on the bike so we could lay Nox and let me ride at the same time.
"Ok we have a little more weight so we are going to a bit slower."
"We can't go any slower or else Nox is gonna die!" With that Drew speeds off trying to get to the nearest town. I started to cry again thinking we wouldn't make it. 'Please be okay Nox, I don't want to lose you.'
My world is shadow and light
Fire. All I see around me is fire. I feel the heat burning my skin but I can't move. I can smell burning flesh but I know it's not mine.
"Drake it's good to finally meet you face to face." I turn around and find myself but different. It was me but he had 2 curved demon horns coming out the side of his head. His eyes were like pools of swirling black and leaked out as if he was crying. He had blood covering his lips and chin as if he was a vampire. The I look at his smile and see razor sharp jagged teeth covered in blood. He was also wearing a cloak that looked like it was made of darkness itself.
"Who are you and want do you want?"
"Tsk tsk. Come on drake you should know who I am. I mean you are the one I chose to be my wielder." Wait is he.....
"Are you the gauntlet?" He starts to clap.
"Bravo bravo, you got it. Yes I am the gauntlet, yet in a more wider sense I am the Darkness. If you must you may call me Umbra." His grin widens as he started to step towards me.
"But I am also the Darkness with your soul, and I have to say you pretty messed up. I looked into your memories about what you said to Luna, and you want to know something. You were spot on about the darkness thing. I mean look at me I'm just what your little mind came up with so I could talk to you."
"So your saying that I need a therapist?" I cross my arms looking at the other me. 'I can't shake the feeling that something’s wrong.'
"Maybe, but because of my nature this was probably what my form would be if I was alive. Now down to business, I've come here to make you an offer." He spawns a table with a couple of chairs and some soda.
"What do you want with me because I know you didn't come here for a friendly chat?" My voice was seeping with venom. He looked at me almost bored but it was soon replaced with his signature grin.
"Why my dear boy what would ever make you think that."
"Enough let us be done with this so I can wake up." I said as I slam my hands on the table spilling the soda.
"*Sigh* Well you’re not making this any easier. All I ask is a little time in this world, and what I mean by that is letting me barrow your body for awhile." He snaps his fingers and everything goes back to flames.
"Never! I'll never let you have my body, for all I know you would kill everything in sight." I spin around trying to find him but he's nowhere to be found.
"Very well, but I warn you, you brought this on yourself." After his warning the flames shut off leaving me inside of a house. I walk around and notice that this is the house that Kage left me before he left. The memory of Kage sends a whirlpool of rage and betrayal in my soul. I walk into the living room and look at the clock, it said 7:20. 'Shit I'm going to be late.' I run to the front door and grab a bag but before I grab the handle I stop. 'Wait. Why does this feel weird?'
I look around to try and find anything suspicious in the house but find nothing. 'Oh well must have been my imagination.' I grab the handle and walk outside into the summer air. As I start to head for school I hear somebody running up behind me. Without thinking I grab the hand as soon as it makes contact with my shoulder and flip the owner over my back.

"Ow man did you really have to put that much force into that." I look in front of me to find Anthony lying on the ground grinning and looking like he doesn't have a care in the world. I offer my hand to help him up. After helping him up, we both start heading to school. About the time we were passing Joe's coffee parlor he decided to start a conversation.
"So are you going to ask that new exchange student out?" He said without looking at me, I look up from my book so I can answer him.
"You know I don't do well in the whole relationship thing." I look back down to my book sidestepping a street light in the process.
"I know but I'm jealous of you because I hear what most of the girls say about you."
"Oh, what do they say about me?" I said not looking up from my book.
"They say they all the girls like you. I think they said it's because of how you’re a military strategist or how you’re the only in our class to win the Chess tournament and the MMA championship on the other side of town. They also say it's because you handsome, but the truth is I can't see that one." I punch him in the arm still not looking up from my book. We both verbally assault each other in till we get to the entrance of the school were some girls run up to us.
"How can I help you stunning ladies today? Maybe a movie later or we could have a romantic dinner at my house." Antony said. The girls turn to give him looks that could kill but when they turned to me they acted all sweet.
"Hey Drake would you be interested in having some lunch we made for you." Both of the girls hold up custom lunch boxes with hearts on them. I could practically hear Anthony drool behind me. I give them a heart melting smile.
"I'm sorry girls but I already have lunch with Aurora today but maybe next time." I wave at them as I pass them on my way to class.
"Aright now who can explain one of the greatest tactics for warfare? Ummmm.... how about.... Drake explains this for me." I look up from my book and look at the teacher.
"Well there are multiple tactics that are the greatest for different situations." I mark my place in my book and set it down knowing this was going to be a long debate.
"Ok then. What about you are outnumbered and out gunned. Then the enemy is advancing, what do you do?" I smiled.
"Simple you use deception and stealth. You first must retreat to location where you already have set traps and ambush, but also you must break of small parts to separate and flank them from behind when they believe victory is within their grasp." The teacher looked stunned by my answer and tried to pick his jaw of the floor.
After my Physics class was lunch, so I headed to the entrance waiting for Aurora. 'I wonder what book I should read next. Maybe go over the art of war again.' I was cut off from my thinking when my vision went dark. I reached up and tried to push who ever landed on me off, but while trying to push my hand found something soft and firm. I squeezed it and pushed to try and breathe, but when I did that I heard the person on me moan from the contact.
"Aurora *umph* get of me!"
"Fine but you owe me for grabbing my boobs, even if I didn't mind it that much." She starts to laugh. Aurora truly stood by her name she was the only girl that I knew that had beautiful neon green hair and sparkling sea green eyes. She had a smile that could melt hearts, the way I know this is because she's the only that could melt my frozen heart. Nobody knew, not even Anthony, that I love Aurora. Yes I said love. I have known her for a year now and over that year I have fallen for her. What most people don't realize is that Aurora is Anthony's sister, and god is it hard to hide the fact that I love her from them.
We left the school and went into town for lunch. While walking I realize Aurora was being a little closer than usual by hugging my arm as we walked. I shook my head telling myself that this is what friends do when they go out for lunch. We soon came to a favorite of ours the 'Bellaria'. It was a small cafe in between a deli and a Chinese restaurant. The inside was painted in a soothing cream color that always calmed me when we came in.
"Ah look who it is! Some of my most frequent customers. What can I do for you today?" The owner's name was Dmitri and he was from Rome. He had a thick beard and mustache with a little bit of grey in them but still kept some of their black color. He was all around nice guy, everybody liked him and he liked everybody back.
"Yeah we'll take the usual, thanks Dmitri." Aurora said as we make our way to our table.
"No problem, it's my job after all." Soon he went to cook our food. I look over to Aurora to see that she is slightly nervous and shy which isn't like her at all.
"Aurora are you ok?" She jumps slightly when I speak to her, she gets even more nervous and starts to blush. I put my hand on her forehead to see if she had a fever, and then she blushes even harder.
"Umm… Drake… Can I ask you something?"
"Uh, sure." I look to see that her face looks like a tomato.
"Um... what…do you... think of me?" Oh my god is asking what I think she's asking.
"W-w-well I can't say that I don't like you because Anthony would kill me." I got her to laugh so that lightened the tension in the air.
"I will say this though. I do like you a lot and if you want we could go catch a movie some time." My heart feels like it wants to explode. Her face lights up like the northern lights. She lunges across the table and gives me a bone crushing hug.
"Ah.. Aurora... can't....breath." She lets go and move to where she’s sitting beside. She lays her head on my shoulder and gives a small sigh as she relaxes. I can't but feel as if this has happened before, but before I could get deep in thought Dmitri brought are food and smiled as he saw Aurora lay her head on me.
"My my, what do have here?" I turn to him giving a look asking if he could leave us alone, but I realize he must be here for the payment.
"Thank you for the food Dmitri how much will this cost." I said as I dig out my wallet.
"Oh this is on the house. Consider it a present for you two finally getting together." He smiles as he walks away back to the counter.
After we finish eating we start heading back to school. On the way there I get a glimpse of someone in the alley watching us.
"Aurora why don't you head back, I left my wallet at Dmitri's." I give her a quick peek on the cheek. As she runs off I turn around and walk in till I get to Dmitri's, but I walk past it heading for the park. After I make it to the park I turn around and look to the shadows around me.
"Alright we're alone, now come out." Realizing the were caught they walked out of the shadows into my vision. There was 4 of them 2 had long swords while the others had bows. They draw back their hoods to revel their faces. The only thing I cared about was the tattoo on their face which symbolized that they where shadow knights.
"What do the knights want with me this time? Shouldn't you be looking for Kage?" The person who I assume was the leader stepped forward.
"We are here to kill you by the orders of the council. We have been instructed to silence any and everybody who knew you personally." 'That means they are going to go after Anthony and Aurora.' I reach back behind me to find that my weapon was not there. 'Damn I must have left it back at the house.' I see that all of them already had their weapons out. I reach for the rosario, but before I could break the seal the leader spoke again.
"You will not release your form here."
"Oh yeah, and how are you going to stop me." Before I could blink, the leader snapped her fingers. One of the lackeys went behind the tree and dragged out a beaten and bloody Aurora. I could see that she was barely alive and was unconscious. My blood started to boil at the sight of her hurt. What they did next would be the greatest mistake of their life. The lackey that had her was holding her by a rope tied around her wrist cutting into the flesh.
"Oh look here, this one is very beautiful. I think I'll keep her for myself after we kill you. I'm going to have so much fun with you my dear." At the last part he licked her chin up to her ear. I lost it right then. Before I knew what happened I was covered in blood and Aurora was laying on the tree looking at me in fear. I look down to see the man’s body was in pieces and had a large pool of blood around him. While looking at the man I fail to notice one of the other lackeys went for Aurora. I shook from my trance when I heard metal enter flesh. I turn around and see the lackey had driven his sword through Aurora's heart. I could only watch as the life drained from her eyes while she spoke.
"Don't cry Drake I don't like it when you cry." When she finished her head slumped forward signaling that she was gone. Something inside me awoke seeing the lifeless form of one of the only people I cared about. It felt powerful yet evil, but I didn't care I was still to shocked about Aurora. The power kept building in till the seal broke just from the amount of power that was going through it. Something...something dark was coming and wouldn't stop in till they were all dead. I turn to look at the leader and see her wearing a smirk.
"You have no idea what you have just done." Memories of my parents started to flash through my mind fueling the power even more.
"Oh I think I do, now will you please die now."
"FOOL ! You don't think there was a reason Kage kept me hidden from the shadow knights. It was because when I was just but a boy my powers turned into something dark and evil. Now because you killed her those powers are starting to come back, and he will not stop in till you are all dead!" I scream at her, by now I was losing my sanity to the power.
"Oh then I'll gladly let that power come through if it means a challenge worthy of my blade." She raises her blade so that it is at eye level with me.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." With that I let the darkness take hold and turn my body. My body started to burn and hurt because my bones were breaking so the could reform into something new. I could feel the horns grow out from my skull an enlarge. To say the process wasn't painful is a lie. My body grew in height and started to call to the shadows. I once again look through my eyes at the woman but could do nothing since the Darkness was in control.
"So who wants to play first." My voice sounded like gravel being scraped across a chalkboard. I lifted my hand and a twisted version of my sword spawned into my hand. It had a similar horn style for the hand guard but this one had holes in it. It also had a black blade that was seeping shadow magic and malice. The blade also had carvings that come from the shadow language saying 'the Devourer'. My body move on it's own moving in a flash on the poor soul which was the lackey that stabbed Aurora.
"Looks like your first." I could feel the grin that my body was giving and it terrified me. Before the man could react, my body ran forward slashing at his stomach cutting a large gash letting his intestines fall out. My body then reaches its hand out grabbing some of his intestines and ripping them out. While the man was screaming trying to put his insides back in my form found it funny because he started to laugh. My head looked back to the leader.
"I warned you." My head turns back to the man. Stabbing the sword in the ground my body walked behind him and grabbed his head.
"This is what happens when you fight me." My body gave a big hurl and ripped the man’s head clean off letting blood spray anything in a two foot radius. My body lifted the head above my head and opened his mouth drinking the blood that was seeping out. After dropping the head my body turned back to the last two.
"So who's next?"
My world is shadow and light
My body picked up the head of the last lackey throwing his head in front of their leader. She was now visibly shaking with fear.
"I warn you what would happen but nooooo you wanted a challenge, well now you have one." She starts to shake again but then calms herself.
"Fool did you really think that this is all we brought with us." With that I could feel more and more magic signatures popping up around me. My body grins at the woman and looks around to see shadow knight ranging form low C class to A class fighter.
"Oh, you brought more just for me, I'm touched. How many are there though?" The woman smirks then lifts her hand signaling to the knights to close in.
"There is at least a hundred of us and more will be here shortly." She then starts to slowly back step try to get as far away from me as possible.
"Hahaha. You should have brought more!" My body dove back just in time to miss a swing that would have taken our head off. Luckily my body landed near one of the lackey's sword. One of the C class saw this as a chance to finish us off. I feel my eyes close and I could feel my eyes being charge with magic, and god did it burn. I feel my body jump back to kick the kid in the face and hit him hard enough to break his neck. My body then does a slight split and plants hand on the ground. 'Oh god don't tell me he's going to do what I'm thinking about.' It turns out that he does. He starts to twits putting force into the spin hitting multiple people. After using all of the momentum from the spin he pushes of the ground using my hands. In midair he grabbed our sword and pulled it in close. I could still feel the magic building my eyes but still couldn't do anything.
"Oh this is starting to get-" I felt somebody sucker punch me right in the jaw. It was enough where when my body hit the ground it didn't get move for awhile. All of the fighters saw this and pounced me and started to beat and mutilate me. The darkness was losing control over my body. I started to be able to move my body again. In my vision I saw the leader come up pointing her sword at my throat.
"Well well this is disappointing you didn't even get us down to half of our numbers." I started to laugh.
"Don't laugh you fool! You are beaten down and then we threw you around. How can you possibly be laugh at this?" She was mad, she even started to kick me to state her point.
"Because you forgot one thing." I said while moving my broken arm to my rosario. Apparently she didn't see this because she didn't try and stop me.
"Oh and do tell what is that."
"I was only fighting at half strength." She finally understood what I was saying when my hand found the seal.
"Retreat! Retreat now!" She said as she started running from me. 'Huh fucking coward!' I rip the seal letting the power flow through me fixing all of my bone and healing most of my wounds but not all of them.
"You guys are so dead now! " I pull my sword back to me. I look to the man who punched me before anybody could blink I had his head in my hands and was covered in his blood. I throw his head into the man who was to the right of me running after the head. He screamed when the head hit his chest but didn't get very far as I drove my blade through his heart. I back spin taking the handle of the blade in a reverse grip and rip it out of the man watching one of his lungs fly out. I charge my magic into my feet and shadow step multiple time slashing anything in my reach. I look over my shoulder to see about 25 bodies on the ground missing more then one part and were disemboweled. I look to the leader and give her the death glare pointing my sword at her.

The demon pointed it's sword at me looking like a man with a mission. The demon flashes out of vision again to appear over 100 feet away, but I couldn't see what he did. The I heard thunder and rain but what I saw would haunt me for the rest of my days. Instead of normal rain coming down me and my knights were coated in blood. I look up but did not see anything. 'This is just some mind tricks the demon is playing.'
"Pay no heed knights this is just a trick by the demon."
"Oh you might want to think that through because I only see about 30 of you left." The demon flashed me a grin. I look around to find that it is correct all that are left are A class knights, but where did the others go.
"If your looking for your knights I would look behind you." I spin around and nearly threw up. Behind us was a mountain of corpses of our fellow knights. My blood started to boil at the sight of my dead friends. I turn back to the demon and I call my familiar to me.
"Now you will die demon."
""Heh bring it!"
'I don't understand. We had more people better equipment how did we lose.' I look around to see all of my closes friends dead and mutilated by the demon. 'Now I'm starting to regret my order of killing the girl.' The demon starts to walk towards me coated in blood and gore smiling as it closed the distance. It raised its sword aiming for my throat, but it stopped. I look to see that the demons shaking.

"NO NO MORE KILLING! " I hear a voice scream in my head. I stop from driving my sword through the leader's throat. I slowly pull back sheathing my sword. I turn to Aurora and run to her side. I dragged her onto my lap and I cried while I hugged her head. I hear the woman get up but I was too far to care. I hear a rift open up behind me, I look back to the woman to see her with hate filled eyes.
"I will kill you even if it's the last thing I do." With that she limped through the rift sealing it off from me. I sat there hugging Aurora's head from god knows long. Soon I could feel darkness push me back into my subconscious.
I open my eyes to see the flames again but this time they glowed with a calming purple hue. I hear clapping behind me, as I turn around I'm greeted with the demon me again.
"Why did you make me go through that memory again!" I was ready to throw myself at the man but before I could chains shoot out from the dark and chained me down.
"Why to break you of course but that memory took to much time because now I can feel that pesky Ash waking you up. I will say a few things before you go." The demon lifted his hand and spawned a syringe full of purple liquid.
"This will allow you to sleep but know this, every time you go to sleep I will be there making your worst nightmares come true. I also wanted to give you a happy gift. Think of it as a job well done present." He walked over to me bending my neck so he could get a better shoot with needle. After he was done I could feel my energy levels stabilize enough where I could finally lose energy without it regenerating immediately. He then spawned a bottle with contents I could not see but it had a dark air around it.
"This potion will increase our power to the limit. Enough to shroud the entire world in darkness for entirety but at the cost is after you use this power I will gain control and that will leave you with your inner demons so chose wisely." He slid the bottle into my cloak pocket.
"Now it seems that my time is up, but don't worry I'll see you tonight." I felt a tugging sensation and I was dragged back into the flames hearing my demon half laugh as I was thrust into the fire.
I woke up to the beeping of a heart monitor and a weight on my stomach. I look down letting my eyes adjust to the light, and I see Ash laying her head on my stomach with a small puddle from her tears. It broke my heart seeing her like this. I look around the room to see Drew and Artmus sleeping in the corner. I decide to wake them up.
"Ash...Ash, sweety it's time to get up." I look to see that she was slowly waking before she could get up I saw her eyes open and stare at me with tears beginning to fall out of her eyes.
"Don't cry Ash, I hate it when you cry."
My world is shadow and light
After the 'events' that happened last night Ash and I left to go sleep in our bed. I open my eyes after hours of thought, to see one on the most beautiful sights in the world. I see Ash laying on my chest sleeping softly with the suns lights bouncing of her scales to give her a shimmering look. I look further down to see that she was just in her underwear and was grinding against me. I blush at first but remembered that we're together now, so I snuggle closer to her. She smiles in her sleep squeezing me tighter. I love this feeling of love and peace in the air but we had to leave and travel to Ponyvile.
"Ash.. Ash sweety its time to get up." I say softly into her ear. She mumbles and lays her head into the crook of my neck, so I decided to play unfair. I reach around and firmly squeeze her butt. She moans awake to look at me with bedroom eyes.
"You know, if you wanted to go at it you could have just asked." I grin at her moving my hand to her hip instead. Her grin turns to a frown.
"Awww. Why did you stop?" Oh my god that was so cute on so many levels. I laugh at her knowing shes pissed at me. I tug her closer and press my lips to hers and lay there embracing our love. After a little bit I pull away to a happy, yet still a little pissed off, Ash still laying on me.
"Sorry Ash but we have to leave remember. You get dress while I go get Drew ok" I give her a peek on the lips.
"Ok, but hurry back I want to see if we can go at it for a little bit." I shiver in pleasure. I walk out of the room and turn to Drew's door. I open it to find the room empty and the bed made. I scan the room for anything, I was about to leave when a white piece of paper got my attention. I walk over to the piece and read it.
"Nox, if your awake and wondering where I am. You can find me 3 blocks to the right of the inn, and look for a alley way with this symbol . I await your arrival.

'Ok then.' I walk back out of the and into ours to find Ash wearing a tight crimson sight with a ban name on it called '2 Steps from Tartarus'. She was also wearing tight fitting black jeans, and god she looked amazing.
"You look absolutely amazing and sexy with the pants." She turns around and gives me the bedroom eyes again.
"Flattery will get farther then you think with me handsome." She then purposely leans over to grab her back giving me a full view of her butt. She sees me staring so she decides to tease me by swaying her hips and tail. See that my nose starts to bleed again.
"How did I get such a amazing and sexy girlfriend. I mean, I know you didn't get together with me over my powers."
"Because you didn't have to give that ruby and then you are also a really good kisser. Other then that the week we spent together showed me how good of a person you are. You gave me all of you food, you gathered gems for me, you even gave me shelter and warmth during the night. I for one say that the reason I 'love' you is that your a selfless and caring person." I look down remembering the days back when I was a shadow hunter, and I started to cry.
"Your wrong I'm not that kind of person, a-and I will never be." I turn around and start to leave when I get tackled into the floor. I turn around to see Ash cry and it broke my heart in more than one way.
"Why would you say something like that! All you ever shown me is kindness and love, so I don't want to hear another negative think about yourself leave you mouth. If I do I am going to punch you so hard your ancestors are going to feel it!" She rams her mouth to mine giving a loved filled kiss. I wrap my arms around her and cry while we kiss. I then hear a cough near us, and I open my left eye and look to see Drew standing there awkwardly. I gently push Ash off me and help both of us to our feet.
"Yes what is it Drew?"
"Well you guys were taking to long so I came back to see what was keeping you both." He blushes and starts to walk towards the entrance. Ash and I both go back into our room and get all of our stuff for the road. While walking out I say goodbye to the owner, he wave me back as we walk out of the doors.
Now that its day I can see that the town had a more modern look to it instead of Ponyville. While Ponyville was more medieval looking, Drogonville was more in the eighteen century style of things except clothes. I look around for Drew and I see him walking towards the alley he wrote to me about in his note. He takes a sharp right turn into the alleyway. Out of instinct I look around for people watching us. When I'm sure that nobody's watching us I grab Ash's hand and drag her into the alley with me. In the alley near the back I see Drew take a left and go through the wall at the end. Ash looks at me confused about what just happened.
"He used a shadow cloak spell to hide what ever he has in there." She slowly goes from confused to curious, and I will admit that I was curious at to what he has in there. About 30 seconds later I hear the reeving of a engine. 'Oh god don't tell me he has a motorcycle here.' I was half right. Drew speeds out of the cloak to revel a black motorcycle with a red trim in the tires and alittle in he body.
"Wow dude that is sick is this what got sucked through with you."
"Yeah but I also got sucked through with my desert eagle." He said as he pulls out a large handgun with a silver look to it.
"What is that?" I look to Ash to explain to her, but Drew beat me to it.
"This Ash is a deadly machine. It's soul purpose is to kill and protect." He slide the gun back into it's holster.
"Sorry guys but your both gonna have to find a ride besides sitting on my lap." That gave me an idea. I reach out to the gauntlet mentally and as for the wings from my transformation. Surprisingly I felt the bones in my back start to enlarge and grow out of my back. I keep the at a certain size to surprise everybody.
"Na. Ash and I already have a ride."
"We do?" Drew looked confused as well
"Yep, me." I charge my wings again to speed up the growth. after a minute I spread them to their full glory getting Drew's and Ash's surprised look. After I fold my wing just a bit so I could move in the alley. I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her to me. Giving Drew a glance I said.
"See you tonight!" With that I jumped 20ft in the air and started to flap my wings. I hear Ash scream in my arm so I adjust her where she has both of her arms around my neck. I look at her and give this devious grin.
"You better not do-" With her saying that I speed of into the distance with her screaming all the way.

"Are you ready to face him tomorrow?" One of the Council members asked.
"You have no idea." I replied. I summon my dragon and fly through the rift to kill the one named Nox.
