Two ponies walked into Sugarcube Corner, arguing about something.

"Trixie, ah tell ya, ah'm the smarter one here."

"Then how come you haven't done anything smart since I was last here?" The two had been arguing over who the smarter one is all day. "Besides, I've heard that those in the countryside are usually the dumber ones since their parents decide not to give them an education in anything besides farming." Applejack's only response was to roll her eyes, and she did.

"Y'know what? Ah'm gonna get Rainbow and Pinkie. They'll probably know which one of us is the smarter." She made her way upstairs to Pinkie's room, with Trixie following her. Applejack looked around the room to find her two friends, but could not find them.

"Ha. If you're so smart, how come you can't find your friends?" she mocked.

"At least ah have friends."

"Ouch," was all she could say in return. "Well then, how about that?" she asked while pointing towards a box on the ground. They walked over to the ground and picked it up.

On the box read "PORTAL 2" and had an image of a robot with a strange device in it's hoof in the air with a wall with and orange hoop in front of it, and another wall with a blue hoop behind it. Under the first robot, was another one with the same device, walking. On the back, there was a pony with the same device as the two robots, with a third robot, which appeared to be dangling from the ceiling coming out of the orange hoop. In big white text, it said "START THINKING WITH PORTALS." Below the image, were three smaller images, one of a room with a round door, one of the two robots on the front hugging, and the last one was a tube throwing out a blue liquid.

"Ah think Pinkie told me that she and Rainbow were gonna play this. She said it was a puzzle game." She opened the box to see if there's a disc to see that there was no disc.

"Oh smart one, I believe the disc would be in the system already," she said as she walked over to the TV with a menu up with the title "PORTAL 2" in the upper left corner and the words "PRESS START" blinking in the lower middle section of the screen. Reluctantly, they picked up the controllers and pressed start. Trixie tried to press any of the buttons but nothing happened.

"Hey smart one, in case if ya didn't notice, ah'm player one." Trixie scoffed and pouted as her controller sat on her lap. Applejack pressed the start button and selected "PLAY COOPERATIVE GAME" and then selected "PLAY SPILTSCREEN" and a loading HUD came up saying "Waiting for Player 2… Player 2: Press START to play splitscreen."

"Finally I can do something!" Trixie apparently had to sign into a profile, while Applejack was signed into Pinkie's profile. She didn't feel like choosing one that was pre-made so she made her own profile.

After she signed in, if started a cutscene where two robots are being built. The robots happened to be the ones on the cover. The orange robot was taller than the blue and appeared to be more energetic. The blue one had to have been nervous about the building precautions and tried to run away but a claw had beat it to the idea and grabbed him as he was running and pulled him back when there was no more to be done. The orange one turned to the blue one and waved at him and the blue robot waved slower than the orange. Just then, the floor began to open and the orange robot dove straight in and the blue one went in shortly afterwards.

"Finally it's over. I was getting bored." The gameplay began with the two of them falling and they hit the ground. "Oh, I'm the blue one."

"Hello, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer Aided Enrichment Center. Today, you will be testing with a partner. Please wave to your partner." The two waved to each other and the floor opened for both of them. "Excellent. BLUE, please select your favorite animal."

"What, I don't have a favorite animal." She looked over the animals and selected "Scootaloo. I choose Scootaloo."

"Excellent choice. ORANGE, please observe your partner's choice." Again, the floor opened, and the two of them were falling, a third time. "ORANGE, please select your favorite element of the periodic table."

"Ah don't recognize any of these."

"And the 'smart' one does it again! What else will she not know?"

"Hush, Trixie." She looked over the elements, and selected to one on the upper left corner. "Ah don't recognize these."

"Interesting choice. BLUE, please examine your partner's interesting choice." For a fourth time, they fell. Once they hit the floor, a blinding purple light flashed and pulled them in, leaving their controllers on the ground.

When the two of them, weren't blinded and able to get the bearings, Twilight came up to them, shocked and scared, with bloodshot eyes, and she looked tired.

"Aw, no. Not again," was all Twilight said when she first saw the two.

"What do you mean, Twilight? This isn't a joke is it? You already calmed an Ursa Minor and fooled me with a fake amulet. I don't need another show off of your magic."

"You're actually in the game." Hearing this made Trixie uncomfortable. "This happened to Pinkie and Rainbow Dash and I think they're still going through the game. You guys need to trust each other for this and finish the Cooperative Testing Initiative to get out. And with that, Twilight faded and the three ponies didn't see each other.

Author's Note

I don't remember much about the Portal 2 Cooperative Testing Initiative so I need to play it as I write this, making this my fastest updating story.

Atlas being player two came on accident, so I decided to make him P2 so their colors can match up. I needed Applejack to mock Trixie after all the times she mocked her, so that led up to Atlas = P2, P-Body=P1, rather than Atlas = P1, P-Body = P2.

I'll probably upload a chapter about every other day. Maybe every week due to the speed of which I play with my brother.
