Love is a Gift

It was dark. There was a storm out. A young pony ran through a forest.

"Get back here, Firefly!" Chrysalis yelled.

The pony just kept running. She reached the end of the forest. In front of her, the railroad track was. She started to change her form. She changed from an earth pony to a pegasus. She started to fly away. She flew after the train headed to the Crystal Empire. Chrysalis stopped and starred. Her changlings started to go after the train.

"No, we'll let her go. For now." Chrysalis said.

The pony reached the train. She landed on the back to rest. She transformed again to reveal her true form, a changling. She sighed. She was exhausted. "I better get rest." she said, laying her head down. She closed her eyes so she could sleep.

The train arrived in the Crystal Empire the next morning. Firefly opened her eyes. She realized she was in her changling form and quickly changed to her earth pony form she was in before. She looked to make sure nopony was watching. She jumped of the train and walked into the empire. She looked around. She had never seen such a beautiful sight. All the ponies were playing, they were happy. Back home, it was all argue. The other changlings never got along.

"Welcome to the Crystal Empire!" greeted a crystal pony.

"Oh, hello!" Firefly said back. Firefly turned. She over heared two ponies talking.

"I can't wait  for next week!" one said.

"I know! The Crystal Fair will be so fun!" the other said.

"Excuse me?" Firefly asked. "What's the Crystal Fair?"

"Oh, it's when the crystal ponies go outside and get to get things from different stands, and then put their love into the crystal heart!" the pony explained.

"Love? You have love?" Firefly asked.

The ponies giggled. "Yeah, everypony has love!" they explained.

"Yeah, everypony. I'm no pony." Firefly told herself. "Oof!" she bumped into another pony.

"Oh, are you ok?" the pony asked.

"Yes." Firefly answered. She looked up and gasped. "Y-your Princess Cadence!" Firefly said.

"Yes, I am." Cadence said.

"I'm so sorry! Please don't banish me to the moon!" Firefly pleaded.

"Where would you get that idea?" Cadence asked.

"Well, I heared about Princess Celestia talking about sending Luna to the moon." Firefly explained.

"Luna was Nightmare Moon at the time. She was evil." Cadence explained.

"Oh." Firefly sat down.

"Hey, lighten up!" Cadence cheered the pony up. She walked away.

Firefly has never seen a pony so kind as Cadence was. Back home, all the changlings were grumpy and mean. Firefly was shunned for being so kind. That's the reason Firefly is so shy. It's also the reason why she left. But Firefly wondered, if the changlings hated her, especially Chrysalis, why would they go after her? Wouldn't it be good riddance for them if Firefly was gone? Firefly wouldn't get that answer anytime soon. She continued down the street.
