A Different Story Book 1: Cupcakes
Chapter 1
I didn't mean to meet the ghosts. It was a big mistake. Hold on, I'm getting ahead of myself. Hi, I am Aaron. I am 12 almost 13 years old. We have a swing at my house. One day when I swung on it and I accidentally let go, and I ended up in a graveyard. I saw two graves. One said "Here Lies Sarah Parker 1992 to 2003." The other one said "Here lies Matt Parker 1992 to 2002." I gasped and clutched my chest.
'Why am I here?' I thought. Right next to the gravestone there were these two kids.
"We are the ghosts" said the kids.
"What do you mean"? I asked, confused.
"We're the ghosts from those two Gravestones you just saw." said the ghostly children.
"Okay, okay, okay. Slow down. So you guys are dead?!" I asked.
"Yep." said Matt, as if there was nothing strange going on at all.
"We want to be alive again," said Sarah.
"We need to find a Wishing Stone to bring ourselves back to life!" said Matt.
"Will you help us?" asked Sarah. I nodded.
"Okay! How do we get back to my house?" I asked
"How you came here." said Matt.
"We'll use the swing!" said Sarah. We went to my home.
1 Week later ''
"Hey, look! I made a device to find the Wishing Stone'' I said. The device was small, round, and it looked like a ball. I held it high in the air, showing it off.
''I call it the Finder!'' I exclaimed proudly.I began to explain how the device worked, pointing to a red dot on the Finder.
''That red dot shows us where the Wishing Stone is!'' I said. The ghost children's eyes grew wide.
''Cool!" said Matt. Sarah cocked her head.
"Where is it?" asked Sarah. I examined the device.
"It's somewhere in New York! How do we get there?" I said.
One week has passed since I met Sarah and Matt. We discovered the swing can take us anywhere in the world, television shows, or even fan fictions. All you have to do is think about where you want to go. We all thought about New York and we let go of the swing. Suddenly, we were in New York!
'This is so cool!' I thought. Matt laughed.
''I love New York!'' said Matt. I turned to Matt.
"Have you been here before?" I asked.
"Yeah." said Matt.
"Where is the Wishing Stone?" asked Sarah. I shrugged.
"Don't ask me!" I said. I turned around and pointed to two boys in the distance.
"Hey, look! There is someone over there! They might know were the Wishing Stone is!" I said. We ran over to them and Matt tried to get their attention. The boy turned to Matt and smiled.
"Hi, I'm John." said the boy.
"Do you know where the Wishing Stone is?" asked Matt. John pondered this.
"Is it red and about the size of a golf ball?" asked John. Sarah nodded and squealed in excitement.
"Yes, yes, yes it is!" said Sarah. John laughed and gestured to the boy next to him.
"This is my older brother. His name is Michael and he is 12 years old. He can help us find the Wishing Stone." said John. We left in a hour. We did not talk until the Finder got red.
"It's getting very hot!" said John, looking at the Finder. It was getting really red. Michael began to look scared
"Uh...the Wishing Stone...is in the infamous fan fiction, 'Cupcakes'." Michael stuttered. I quickly shook my head.
"Oh no, I'm not going in there!" I said. Sarah and Matt looked at me with sad expressions on their face. John and Michael gave me judgmental stares. I sighed. Oh well, Cupcakes it is. We left John and Michael in New York and went to the swing. I thought about the horrifying story, Cupcakes. When we let go we were all ponies! Matt and I were unicorns, and Sarah was a pegasus. I had a blue coat and a yellow mane. Matt had a red coat and a black mane. Sarah had a green coat and an orange mane. After examining our new pony bodies, we rushed over to Sugar Cube Corner. When we got there, Rainbow Dash was about to eat the cupcake. I quickly grabbed it from her and ate it. before I passed out I heard the maniacal giggling of Pinkie Pie.
"Let's make cupcakes! We'll have so much fun..." Then my eyes rolled to the back of my head and I blacked out. I awoke in a dark room decorated with skulls and bones. Pinkamena showed up with a dress of skin and a necklace of unicorn horns. She pulled out a pair of scissors. She put it up to my tail and cut off a chunk of it. She began to giggle again.
"That skull over there? That's a friend of Dashie's. And I have to tell you, Gilda was really tasty! I should have asked where she came from! Well, you're no Griffon, but I can tell you're not a pony, either. You will do very nicely..." said Pinkamena, holding the blades of the scissors to my neck. Suddenly, Rainbow, Sarah, and Matt burst into the room.
"Help me get out of here, NOW!" I shouted. Matt rushed over to where I was tied down, trying to break the braces with his magic. Pinkamena growled.
"Oh no you DON'T!" Pinkamena shouted, preparing to throw her scissors. Rainbow delivered a swift kick to Pinkamena's head, knocking her out. We all took her to the library and Twilight sighed.
"AGAIN? Come on, Pinkie..." Twilight mumbled. Twilight got a beaker filled with some kind of chemical, a type of medicine maybe, and slipped it into Pinkamena's mouth. The sleeping Pinkamena leapt into the air, her mane fully inflated. Pinkie was back. Twilight sighed and looked at us.
"Who are you three?" asked Twilight.
"I am Aaron and this is Matt and Sarah. We are not from this world." I said, not sure how to explain the situation. Pinkie hopped up and down, waving her hoof like a school filly.
"Ooh! Ooh! I know, I know! You're from a place where we are all cartoons and you need to help Matt and Sarah get a stone so they can live again!" said Pinkie. Twilight rolled her eyes.
"I doubt that." said Twilight. I laughed.
"No, she's pretty much spot on." I said. Dash and Twilight's jaws dropped. Rainbow Dash began to feel herself with her hoof, as if she thought she were a hologram.
"So, are you saying that we are not real?" Dash asked.I shook my head.
"Not really. You're real, but you exist in another universe." I explained. The two mares seemed to have a hard time wrapping their heads around that but as the day went by we grew closer. Twilight taught Matt and I magic and Rainbow Dash taught Sarah how to fly. I made a new spell that can give ponies from fan fictions I met them new memories about me and my new friends being a part of their story, and that's how it all began.
