There is a legend in Ponyville, a quiet but well-known story. Elder ponies cringe when they hear the younger ponies talk about it. Young fillies tell incantations of the story at sleepovers but let me tell you the story of the Room Under Ponyville.
A young stallion by the name of Astric Wave was a genius and he was the most handsome pony in Ponyville. He was broad and tall, he had white fur and a dark blue man. His eyes were crimson red and deep red. Every pony thought of him as funny, intuitive, humble, kind, and sweet. But underneath the cape he was dark, crazy, psychopathic, and insane. He had no way to express the other side of him, he tried so many ways, therapists, writing it down in a journal, art, and music but nothing would work. He had a cutie mark but it was a trademark for the way he acts around people, it was a smile. Two dots and a curved line, it represented his happiness towards others, and he didn't like it but he was also relieved because it could have been worse. One day he read on EquestriaDaily that a murder spree is occurring in Los Pegasus. Suddenly a light bulb went off in his head he thought he could express his creative dark side with torture and murder. So he began with his work. He dug a basement under his house, the hatch was hidden by a piece of wood. It was made to look as if there was nothing there but only he knew how to open it. His first murder was pretty amateur but he did it, her name was Truffle Puffle, a young mare, she came home from a long shift at the hospital and she got jumped.
The first time he killed her, but he left his signature, it was slicing up her cheek from the corners of her mouth to make her more happy, he thought. "With a smile she won't be so sad." he had said when he dropped her back off where he abducted her.
When he got caught they searched his home for hours they couldn't find his torture room where he murdered countless victims. They locked him up in a mental asylum in Canterlot and he still lives there to this day. Ever since he left his home has been untouched until a young mare by the name of Fluttershy bought his house.
Now I ask you this, why did she buy his cottage? The answer lies within the story I am about to tell you.
