Rarity's Rescue

Later that night, Rarity followed the orders of her message.  She kept things simple with her appearance.  There were no dresses or lipstick this time, but merely her own natural beauty, as Shining Armor put it, and a dash of perfume.  All day, Rarity had waited for the sun to go down.  She suspected that Shining Armor was going to do something very romantic based on the fact that he stalled and later sent her a letter which said that he would meet her outside as soon as the clock struck nine.

Hours later, nine the clock did strike.  As promised, Rarity went to the meeting spot.  She waited outside of the dark library for any sign of life but eventually frowned as she thought that perhaps Shining Armor had been held and wasn’t going to show up.  Before she could turn to leave though, she felt a tingling sensation grasp her gently by the throat and turn her head around.  She didn’t have much time to react though before Shining Armor placed his lips to hers.  By far, it was the most amazing kiss of her life.  “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that,” Shining Armor told her once they finished kissing.

Shining Armor shook his head.  He smiled gently at her and said, “No.  Ever since I first met you.”  All was quiet for a moment in the dark streets of Ponyville as Shining Armor said, “Hey, come with me.  I’ve got a surprise for you.”

“That sounds about right princess,” he gave her a nickname, “That sounds about right.”
