Doll to Equestria
Chapter One - The Red Ring
Load Full StoryIt was a bright and sunny day, and Doll and Danny wear on a casual stroll through town. It had been a year after Voodoo Doll's rampage and the people of Denbruck were still giving Doll the cold shoulder.
"Are you sure I can't come Danny?" Doll asks.
“Yeah, why can’t we come?” Bell remarked.
"Yes, I wish you two could come, but my mother made it clear that you’re not coming. She’s afraid that our extended family may freak out if they see a living rag-doll running around, and the fact is you still need to gain more control over you’re voodoo form." Danny explained.
"Oh... ok."
Doll and Bell were disappointed that they couldn't come to the reunion. But she knew very well she needed gain more control over her stitch witch powers and her voodoo form -Voodoo Doll-, and Bell knew she was just a rag-doll. And a living one at that.
“W-well, have fun at the reunion Danny.”
“I will Doll. See yeah guys in a couple of months.” As Danny went on his way back home to meet back with his parent’s, Doll just stood there as Danny began to fade in the distance. With a sigh Doll decides to see Grandma Lulu, she figured some training and meditation could help get over her disappointment.
Walking through the thick bog woods to her grandmother’s was never a pleasant trip, Doll always heard and felt the lost and dammed spirit’s roaming through the woods. The only thing that really bothered her during these trip’s where her small chat’s with her inner demon, Voodoo Doll.
“Hello Doll… Bell.” Voodoo Doll said.
*Sigh* “What do you want demon.” Doll said with a glare. “Aww that’s not a very nice way to talk to an old friend.” Voodoo Doll said playfully as the two continued their walk. “We’re not friends’ demon. You've killed many innocent people, you almost killed my one an’ only true friend.” Doll bowed her head with fists clenched. “Hey, what about me!?” Bell exclaimed. “Oh, s-sorry’ bout that Bell”
“You and I both know that half of those “innocent” people “we” killed were just as bad as I am Doll, and if Danny is a true friend he would have taken you with him to his family reunion.” After Voodoo Doll said that, Doll instantly stopped in her tracks with fists clenching harder an’ harder and shacking. “WELL. I can understand why he didn't take me with him to the reunion if he didn't want it to become a SLAUGHTERHOUSE!” Doll shouted. “Doll calm down. You know what Isabella said about your temper.” Bell said trying to comfort Doll.
It gave Voodoo Doll great pleasure to see Doll so angry. But it was sadness and despair that gave her real power, without that she was just as powerless as a tree stump with a tea cup on top. After the Angels Dagger was stabbed into her chest, all that sadness and despair she had leached out of Doll the first time in such a short period of time had flowed out of her like a raging waterfall. It seemed all Voodoo Doll could do was to find some form of entertainment out of Doll’s expanse.
“You know what, forget it. YOU are now nothing more but a nightmare who doesn't know when to give up, and just GO AWAY! All I need to do is turn my back on you and I’m rid of you, Voodoo.” Doll exclaimed with her back now turned and continued walking, whale Bell turned to face Voodoo Doll giving her a rude gesture. “You are, and will never be rid of me Doll Voodoo. We are forever bound together, and no power in this world or any world can ever change that.” Voodoo Doll said as she slowly began to fade away in to the bog, the woods once again became silent and Doll gave a deep breath knowing she was finally alone. “Don’t listen to her Doll. You know it’s not true” Bell ushered Doll. “But what if it is true Bell. W-what if… what if I and Voodoo “are” forever bound. What if I can never be free…?” Doll said as a tear peered out of her left eye and ran down her downward red stitched scar. Bell just sat on Doll’s shoulder seeing her forms of comforts failing.
As an hour pass by Doll and Bell finally made it to Grandma Lulu’s hut. The hut was quite, too quite. Doll slowly knocked on the door three times. The door slowly creaked open and Doll cautiously stepped inside. “H-hello, Grandma Lulu? Are you here?” Doll Called. But it appeared nobody’s here, the cauldron was boiling but nobody’s home, the hut was empty. “I wonder were Lulu could be?” Bell asked. Doll Voodoo looked around the hut hoping to find some kind of clue, under the tables, behind chairs, and even under the rugs an’ pelts. But it wasn't until she took notice to the shelf over the fireplace that a note was stuck on one of the stuffed crows.
-Dear little Doll and Bell, sorry for not being here but I've ran out of some main ingredients for my latest potion for… well, I want it to be a surprise for you so sorry. These ingredients will take some time to gather so I’ll be gone for quite some time, a month at least. So I want you and Bell to stay with your friend Daniel at the mean time until my return. Be safe and continue those breathing exercises and meditations I've thought you. Love, you’re grandmother, Lulu Voodoo.-
As if this day couldn't get any worse. Just as Danny and his family leave to the reunion, Lulu Voodoo goes off to who knows where not even knowing their gone as well. Doll now frustrated and tiredly sat down on one of the couch chairs, staring at the boiling cauldron which homed the incomplete potion made just for her. Bell hoped on one of the arm rests leg’s crossed, thinking. “Hmm… hey, what about this red ring I found!” Bell exclaimed. Doll raised an eyebrow an’ stared downward to Bell curiously. “What red ring?” Doll asked. Bell then pulled out the red ring she had precariously sat on.
The gray rag-doll placed the ring on to Dolls hand and raised the ring high. Doll was amazed at how the red ring glowed an’ glistened from the fire, it twinkled into Doll’s eyes. “Where did you find this Bell?” Doll asked while still transfected on the ring. “Oh I just found it hidden in a really really old wooden box with carvings on it.” Bell replied. “You went in to Lulu’s thing!” “Yeah, how ells.” Bell shrugged. “So what d’you think it’s made of?” Doll smeared at Bell for a moment. “I don’t know? But I think it’s made out of a solid ruby, I know because I sometimes see Danny’s mother wear one as a necklets.” Doll explained. “Wow, really!” Doll nodded. As she stared at the ruby ring again, Doll couldn't help but wonder what the ring would look like on her finger. As Doll tried it on the ring suddenly began to flicker and vibrate, then the door flew open and a gust of wind began to swirl around them. “What’s going on?!” “Bell help me get this ring off!” Doll shouted. Bell frantically tried to get the ring off of Dolls finger, but then a bright light burst out blinded them and knocking them out.
