Crystal's Embrace
Sombra was shown as a tyrant in history, but his son would speak otherwise. When the princesses came to vanquish Sombra, he sealed his son away in a crystal. A Thousand years and he finally awakens, yet with no recollection of his old life.

A thousand years ago a young human was found wandering the Frozen North on the outskirts of the Crystal Kingdom by King Sombra and adopted into his family. The citizens thought of King Sombra as a tyrant of fear and darkness, yet to the child he is a kind and loving father. All that was taken away when the princesses came to vanquish the so said "evil" king. Sombra sealed his son in a crystal to spare his life, only for him to awaken a thousand years later with no recollection of his previous life, or of his father. Soon, he is discovered once again by the ponies of Equestria, and accepted with open arms, but as he grows older his long forgotten memories slowly return, along with the memory of whom was responsible for his fathers demise. Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. Will he live on in this peaceful life, or will he succumb to the darkness that once was his father and seek retribution?
