Confession Tape
The Whole Story
Load Full StoryA second. That was how long it took. Then it was all over. My wings cracked off from the impact. I can't fly anymore. My mind is still a bit fuzzy, since I stayed up all night, but I'll try to piece together the story well enough. I hope whoever hears this will understand. I'll just get on with the story now.
After I crashed, I was taken to the hospital, where I was taken care of, as well as given the news about my new disability. I was terrified, sad and lonely. My friends were all away on a very important trip to Canterlot, so no one came to visit me. One day, the door opened. I turned, hoping to see my friends, but instead it was Derpy. I sighed and rolled over.
"Is something wrong, Rainbow Dash?" All my anger exploded inside me.
"What the feathers do you think is wrong?!" I screamed at her. A nurse came running over and told Derpy to leave, because she was causing me too much stress. It wasn't good for my heart, she said, but I knew that she just wanted me to keep quiet. She complained about headaches a lot, that nurse. I didn't like her. Anywayz.
I knew I had done something wrong, but… My brain felt like it was going to explode. All that thinking! I fell asleep.
The next day, I woke up to a muffin being bounced off my head. I sighed, opened my eyes and looked up at Derpy. She handed me a muffin silently.
"Thanks, Derpy," I said, to which she replied,
"Please to be eating your muffin." I smiled at her and took a bite. The muffin was pretty good, actually. The inside was gooey and soft, and it was peanut butter flavoured, my favourite. Derpy watched me from the corner, with a sad look on her face.
"What's wrong?" I asked her, "Why are you sad?"
Suddenly, out of nowhere, she said "You don't want me. I'm just junk."
"Huh?" She didn't reply, just flew out the door, not very well I might add. I raced after her, but she was too fast and I couldn't catch up to her. ONLY because I couldn't fly. Otherwise, I would have caught up to her with no problem. NOPONY is faster than me! Eventually, I gave up and walked back to the hospital. I fell asleep again.
Nothing much happened for two weeks or something like that, so I won't talk about that. That would make me sound like an egghead, and I am SO not an egghead.
So, a few weeks passed and stuff. Yeah.
She still hadn't come back. I wanted to scream, but I stopped myself. I called for her, but she didn't come. Derpy, I wondered, What are you so upset about?
I called for the nurse and asked her if I could go for a walk. She agreed, but I could only go through the hospital gardens. She said I needed some fresh air, but I'm pretty sure it was just because she was having a massive headache that day. Anywayz, after she said I could go, I was pretty happy. Soooo…
I trotted through the gardens, feeling surprisingly light without my wings. I didn't stop when I reached the end of the gardens, though. I kept going, heading into the busy streets, looking for Derpy. I finally found her sitting on a cloud. I tried to fly up to her, but then I remembered I couldn't. I sighed and called out to her. She fell out of the cloud and landed in front of me. She tried to get away, but I held her down.
