Chapter 2: A Whole New World

Previous Chapter

"Charmander. I choose you!" The Charmander stepped in front of Matt and got ready to fight.

"Blaziken, use Sky Uppercut!" the Blaziken then charged Charmander.

"Charmander, dodge and use... Flamethrower!" Matt called out after briefly checking the pokedex for Charmander's moves. Charmander landed the hit. Blaziken didn't even look fazed by the hit, as Matt expected.

Damn. Were not gonna win like this. Matt thought as the Blaziken got ready to attack again.

"Use your Flamethrower Blaziken!" the Blaziken fired, hitting Charmander in the face.

"CHAR!" it yelled in pain.

"Charmander, you OK!" Matt yelled to it. It shook its head to clear its thoughts and nodded yes.

"Alright then, use Fury Swipes!" Matt yelled. Charmander jumped to the Blaziken's head and scratched repeatedly. The Blaziken fell to the floor.

Holy crap. Matt thought as Charmander readied up.

"Use Flamethrower!" Matt commanded. Charmander fired and hit the Blaziken and it flew back a few feet. Charmander won. It's power was completely insane.

"Ha ha. We did it Charmander!" Matt yelled excitedly. Just after that, another bright light appeared out of nowhere, and Matt blacked out.

When Matt woke up, he was in a forest. He was next to the professor and his Charmander. It was dark. he could barely see.

"Professor, wake up!" Matt shook him a bit. He woke up, than he moved to his Charmander.

"Hey, Charmander wake up" after some shaking, it did.

"Where are we?" Oak asked.

"How the hell should I know. All I remember is that psycho trainer popping up out of nowhere" Matt said. He looked around, trying to find an exit. He eventually saw a small light in the distance.

"I see an exit. Follow me." he said as he moved towards the light.

The three of them were walking for at least 30 minutes when they got to the exit. When they stepped out none of them could believe their eyes. They saw buildings and other stuff you would town, but what threw them off was the population. It did have a few humans, but not many. They saw at least 100 colorful pony looking creatures talking, and living out their daily lives like people do.

"Oh my god." Matt and Oak said in unison.

"What are they?" Matt asked to nobody in paticular.

"They look like Ponyt-" Matt cut Oak off.

"Do not say they are Ponyta because they are clearly NOT!" Matt yelled

"Then what do you propose we call them" Oak ask, a puzzled look still plastered on his face.

"How about... ponies. Yeah. That sounds good" Matt said with his arms crossed.

"Let's go talk to one of the people" Oak said putting heavy emphasis on people.

"Yeah. Sounds good." Matt said, starting towards the town. Charmander close behind.

When they got into town, they were mind boggled by the sights. These ponies lived an everyday human life. Eventually another person walked up to them.

"Hey. You two look new around here" he said. He was wearing a green T and jeans. He had a Lucario standing next to him.

"Yeah. Where on earth are we?" Matt asked looking around.

""Did a psychotic trainer approach you two with a Blaziken and asked to fight you?" he asked pointing a finger at the two confused people.

"Yeah. How'd you know?" Matt asked pointing an finger back.

"That's how we all got to this hell hole." the kid replied. He looked 13.

"The names Buster Johnson. Yours?" He asked, hand outstretched.

Buster Johnson. What kind of name is that? Matt thought as he reached the handshake.

"Matt Jones. This is Prof. Oak" Matt replied awkwardly.

"And what do mean hell hole?" Oak asked.

"This place treats Pokemon like tools." He said, his Lucario growled as he said it.

"That's horrible" Matt and Oak said in unison.

"Here me out before you get even angrier. They don't treat their Pokemon with any respect at all. I've seen trainers beat their Pokemon after they lose a fight. They get all bloodied and battered up because of the ass wipe who OK'd it." Buster said, his fist clenched.

"That's completely outrageous!" Oak yelled. Matt was in too much shock to speak.

Why would anyone want to beat their Pokemon? I have to put an end to this. He then looked down to his Charmander, who was looking at him, worry in it's eyes.

"I'd never beat you Charmander" Matt said smiling. Charmander was relieved.

"But why can't the Pokemon fight back or run away?" Oak asked. It was a reasonable question indeed.

"Their princess OK's it. They can't run because they'll get their asses kicked by said princess. It's completely outrageous how she always talks about friendship and this is how they treat Pokemon! I will never understand it.' He yelled.

"Do any of them care?" Matt finally asked.

"Yes. This towns Gym Leader loves Pokemon and treats them with respect. I'm close friends with her. Her name is Fluttershy." he said calming down a bit.

"That's a relief" Oak said with a sigh.

"Can we meet her." Matt asked hopefully.

"Of course. Follow me." Buster said.

Yes! I can finally challenge my first gym leader and help this place's Pokemon. Matt though as he followed Buster.

"Charmander. Hop on my shoulder. We'll show these bastards friendship." Matt called to his Charmander. Charmander happily hopped on Matt's shoulder.

"Char!" It shouted happily.

"Let's go buddy!" and with that, they went to Fluttershy's house.
