Redshoes was lying in bed staring at the ceiling thinking about his wife they had been married for 5 months now and everything was going great ,but the reason he had been thinking about her was because she had been acting odd lately. Well more acting more odd than normal that is. She had beentired yesterday. He had walked in their bedroom and she was sitting too just humming to herself rocking in their rocking chair. He was lost for words and just stood there staring. Finally he spoke " Um, Pinkie what's wrong"?
"Nothing silly! ( he sighed in relief) I'm just tired"! At this he gasped and stumbled forward.
"Pinkie what do you mean!"
"Well my body doesn't want to move anymore."
"No, I mean your never tired!" She paused at this putting her hoof to her chin then remembering suddenly she pulled mustache out of thin air.
"Well I must get tired sometimes." After that Redshoes kept a close eye on Pinkie and noticed she was getting irritated with customers at sugarcube corner. For example she yelled at Derpy yesterday afternoon to hurry and make up her mind on which flavor she wanted.
Redshoes made up his mind it was time to take her to the doctor today after breakfast he'll talk to the Cakes about an off day. He just needed to convince Pinkie that it was a good idea.
He strolled into the kitchen and saw that she was making oatmeal and pizza for breakfast well at least something was normal about Pinks. "Pinks I was thinking -"
"But your not wearing your mustache!"
"Don't worry I was ,but we need to talk."
"We are silly!"
"I think we need to see the Doctor-"
" Why? What happened? Did the Daleks injure him? I'll hav't to tell Derpy if shes not still mad at me!"
"No I mean our medical Doctor."
"Whew, you had me worried there. And WHAT DO I NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR!"
"Just a check up we have not had one in a while"
"Oh, is that all sure we hav't to tell the Cakes."
"I'll handle that." He walked out the door to the front of the shop where the Cakes were. They both agreed that she had been acting odd lately and told him to go ahead.
"Well I've got a diagnosses" said the Doctor "your pregnant ."All he heard was silence he got a bit woried. Suddenly there was a loud bang and he was hit in the face with confetti as he turned. The room was fully decorated in party style. "Did she have that cannon when she walked in" the Doctor thought. Before he could he could say anything they both bounced out of the office.
Pinkie decided to vist her parents farm. Redshoes was excited and didn't care where they went. As they came up the path to the farm Pinkies father was outside with her two younger sisters doing chores. "Well looks like we will be getting a visit from pinkamena today." Said her father both the girls nodded. Pinkie said hi and bounced in the little house where her mother was cooking lunch. Pinkie glanced at the pan and saw apples and onions. ech, what a dull meal she thought. "Please stay a while Pinkamena.It gets so dull when your not here." Her mother thought to herself. "Morning Pinkamena. (Pinkie rolled her eyes at her old name) What brings you here?"
"Just wanted a visit and I would prefer that you call me by my new name." It was her mothers turn to roll her eyes.
"I think that I may call you what I want I did name you after all." She said calmly. Pinkie glared at her.
"Well its my name."
"Stop trying to start a fight with me, just wash your hoofs for lunch."
"I didn't even say that I was staying" she mumbled under her breath "should just sent a letter telling them."
Later when they were gathered at the table Pinkie even after the fight with her mother was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was silent and noticed right off none of the girls spoke for they were taught not to speak unless spoken to at the table Pinkie hated eating with her family it was always so BORRING the only thing she was happy about was that Maud joined them today taking a break from her rock studies. Pinkie almost wished she didn't come ,but maybe things will be different when she was a mother.
"Pinkie" Her father interupted her thoughts "why don't you tell us what your so excited about."
"I have an anoucement to make!" Her sudden yell made everyone jump with the exception of Redshoes and Maud who just blinked." I'm pregnant!" The was a gasped from everyone with again the exception of Redshoes and Maud who smiled at Pinkie and Redshoes.
After all the normal question about pregnancies were answered and everyone was calmed down Pinkie said "Oh, I can't wait to find out if its a filly or a colt!" Her mother's smile turned into a frown (which made Pinkie's eye twitch)"What!?!"
"You are going to keep the Pie tradition right?".
"Ma you can't expect me to just sit and wait!"
" Wait a second what is this Pie tradition?" Redshoes asked.
"It's a boring stupid tradition that the Pie family has had for generations." Pinkie answered.
"It is not" Her mother yelled" it is a wonderful tradition that will not break just because you are too impatient to wait!"
"What is the tradition!" Redshoes yelled
"That the parents wait to find out what the baby's gender is until its born." Pinkie said in a annoyed tone. Redshoes was a bit disappointed ,but he would do anything to keep peace with her family they never approved of the marriage anyway said that he was to irresponsible and because of that he had to change a little bit and tried to act a little more serious about certain things.
"Well we're leaving!" Pinkie burst out. This day had took an unexpected turn.
"Don't you dare ask the Lord of chaos what it is either." As they walked out the door Pinkie frowned that's just what she was going to do.
