Vinyl's Requiem (poem version)

Previous Chapter

Vinyl's Requiem

When a love dies, you lose the most important part of what makes you; you.
Out of the ashes, a new world is born and a new you rises through.

This blazing hatred,
This burning desire,
These pains I endure.

Never before would I suspect such a tragedy to befall me.
Under no circumstances was I prepared for this travesty.

To forget where life has led us,
To abandon all we’ve shared,
To forge a new path,
To act as if we never truly cared.

Our feelings are one in the same.
How can I forget someone like you?
For all your faults, I’ll always stay true.
You’re the one I love.
You’re my dream.

Now I ache,
This was the last straw.
The last “mistake.”

You abandoned me.
In my hour of need.
When will you see?
He’s driven by greed.

Living my dream,
Feelings of pure ecstasy,
Lost for a moment, my fears came to life.
A Nightmare unfolds,
With a sight too obscene,
Alone I stand, cradling my fantasy.

I staggered, prepared to revolt at such a scene.
I disappeared, revealing to no one what I had seen.

They say love can not die.
Yet;

Love can Suffer.
Love can Kill.
Love can deceive one's heart and create a darkness.

Love is Warm.
Love is Delicate.
Love can fill one with hope and happiness

A stolen heart can’t be healed or forgotten.
Everything I once felt now feels rotten.
The love that heart once felt will never be the same.
As if every moment was simply a game.

How would it feel to be Disregarded?
Discarded?
How could it feel to be Undeserving?
Unnerving.

...right?

Good Night.

Author's Note

I wrote this in 2 hours the other night, in light of a soon to be released sequel. :)
(by soon I mean give me time to do it properly.)
