The best of all possible worlds. Unfortunately, worlds don't take well to being combined, so the inhabitants will just have to grin and bear it until further notice.
Remember that big science breakthrough, the one about gravity waves? It could be either fortune or misfortune that light travels at a finite speed, because as it turns out, these gravity waves weren't from the big bang.
