Missing Laughter
Twilight and her friends were trying to figure out what to do about Pinkie. They couldn't surrender because then all of Equestria's residents would become love banks for the Changelings. But if they tried to rescue her she would be killed. Cheese watched as Twilight and her friends paced along the floor of the library where Twilight lived. He sighed and got to his hooves.
" Girls? Girls." Cheese rolled his eyes before yelling at the fighting mares. "GIRLS! SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU!" The five remaining Elemental Bearers jumped and turned, staring at Cheese.
"Thank you. Now, what are we going to do about Pinkie?"
A Bubbly Birthday
Cheese took a deep breath and looked up as the train lurched, the wheels screeching as the train skidded to a stop. He was here because Twilight had sent him an urgent letter begging for help. It was Pinkie's birthday and the girls needed help planning her a surprise party. He had been ecstatic when he'd heard that news. A jolt followed by a train whistle blasting shocked Cheese out of his daydreaming.
"Everypony off for Ponyville!" Cheese gathered his bags and hopped off the train, looking around at the town's familiar buildings and surrounds.
"CHEESE!!!!!!!" Cheese's ears rang at Pinkie's shrill scream. Suddenly, pink hooves wrapped around his neck and throat, announcing Pinkie's arrival. He'd forgotten how strong the pink mare could be when excited. Cheese, equally strong, wrapped his own orange hooves around Pinkie's middle and squeezed her back. Pinkie let go and looked at her friend. Something wrenched at Cheese's heart as he saw the look in Pinkie's eyes. She saw them as just friends. Cheese, however, was too afraid and shy to tell the pink party thrower how he really felt about her.
A slight pink coloring formed in Cheese's cheeks, to pale to be noticed but still there. Pinkie Pie had held his heart since he met her as a colt. Pinkie turned and bounced away, her mane and tail bouncing along behind her. The pink in his cheeks intensified and deepened. As Pinkie turned a corner, Cheese stopped blushing and turned to his friends.
"So, what are we gonna do for her party?"

"Alright, that should be good." Cheese put the final touch on the party he'd planned for Pinkie's birthday. He turned and nodded to Rainbow Dash, who was hovering above him. She grinned and shot off, intending to bring Pinkie back for her party. A few minutes later Rainbow came back, a note in her mouth and tears in her eyes.
"Rainbow! Are ya' okay, Sugercube?" Rainbow landed and dropped the note. Twilight picked up the note in her signature magenta aura and unfolded it. Twilight's breath hitched as she read the note out-loud.
" Dear elements,
I, Chrysalis, have taken the one you call Pinkie Pie. If you want her back, your precious Princess Celestia must surrender Equestria to the changelings. And before you think of trying to save her, if you try to take her back, I shall KILL off the Element of Laughter herself."
Cheese froze, horror washing through him. His precious Pinkie was in danger and he was here, planning a party. Greif washed over him as well as realization. Pinkie was at danger of getting killed. All his feelings dissolved into anger at whoever stole his fellow party thrower and vowed. Whoever had taken her would pay.
