I sat up with a gasp. It worked, for the first time ever one of our inventions worked. I sat up and realized I was naked, and in the middle of a forest.
"Well, shit" I said standing up and dusting myself off. "Well at least there isn't anything sentient around." I said as I used one hand to cover my crotch. The other left swaying at my side while I walked. "Maybe all those survivalist shows will come in handy now, too bad all the info about plants and animals will be irrelevant." I said to myself "let's see maybe I could use one of the over sized leaves as a makeshift kilt" I said as I ripped a leave of the tree next to me. I ripped it in a couple more places and tied the two ends behind me like an apron. "Better than nothing".
And so I began walking,
Soon I came to what appeared to be a clearing in the distance. I retied my leaf apron and walked into the clearing to find that the forest had simply turned to a rolling grassy plain. In the distance I saw a small cottage with a moss roof and a small bridge over the stream that had made its way through the cottages front yard. I walked up to the short door of the cottage and gave a knock with my middle fingers knuckle. It seemed to echo a little as I heard a small squeak and a very soft feminine voice say almost musically "coming~"
A few seconds later I the door opened t reveal a yellow… Pegasus? The apparently sentient animal stared at me 90 percent fright and 10 percent curiosity as she looked over my figure. Then she realized I was clad in a big leaf and all that fright turned into concern and embarrassment. "uuuum I'll go get you some pants, just sit here while I find them." she said as she blushed and ran up the stairs to what I guessed was her bedroom. I sat down on the small couch and she came back and gave me a pair of sweatpants with her mouth. Oddly the pants did not have any spit on them as I had thought they would.
"Thanks, where should I put them on?"
"In the bathroom down the hall first left." she said without hesitation
"Well alrighty then" I said walking over to the bathroom while crouching through the hallway. I looked the pants over, they must have been two sizes to small but they were built to be baggy, so they should fit with the legs being a bit short. They were definitely better than a leaf I though while putting them on. I was right about them fitting and I walked out to the living room with them on and the leaf folded under my arm.
"Thanks for letting me borrow the pants" I said to break the silence.
She just nodded
"So… I never got you name"
"Its fluttershy, what about your name?"
"Johnson but you can call me john"
She nodded again
We sat in silence for another twenty seconds before she broke the silence
"So I'm a Pegasus" *gulp* "what are you?"
"Human"
Just then a knock on the door made us both sigh with relief as we realized there was something else to talk about
"Who's that?"
"It’s a friend of mine her name is twilight sparkle but everyone just calls her twilight" she said opening the door to reveal a purple unicorn who then proceeded to walk in and try to start a conversation with fluttershy
"So how have you been fluttershy?"
"Actually I got an unexpected visitor today, he's still here, do you want to meet him?"
"Of course I would, what's his name?" she asked as she walked in.
"John"
"Well that seems like an odd name for a pony...."
Then she saw me and her jaw dropped
"Um hello john, my name is twilight."
"So I've heard. Tell me twilight, where exactly am I?"
"You're in equestria of course, why do you ask?"
"Well based on you ponies initial shock, I can be almost certain that you have never seen a human before."
"Well no, as far as I know there are no "humans" on this planet, are you an alien?"
"Before you start to skip to conclusion let me tell you who I am and why/how I am here."

"And so I'm apparently in a land of ponies now."
"Wow, until now I thought magic was the only way of traveling between dimensions, I guess now I'm going to rethink all my previous theory's...." She continued to ramble on about how amazing it was that I traveled without magic and what not. After the first few minutes I simply zoned out a bit waiting for her to finish before finally fluttershy spoke up.
"Where is he going to live? If he can get back to his world I mean."
"Well I suppose he could stay at the library for now, at least until I can get celestia to allocate him a more permanent residence."
"So I'm going to stay at a library? Where is it?"
"It's in ponyville on the western side; we'll have to cross through town to get there though."
"Don't you think it's a bad idea for me to go waltzing through a highly populated area, what with me being a new never before seen species?"
"I guess you're right, we could just go around through the old pathways."
"That sounds like a better idea."
"So it's settled then, john is going to be living at my library and we'll take the long way to it so as to avoid any unwanted attention."
"So onto the more walking it is then!"

We walked about half of the way to the library apparently, and twilight told me one of her friends lived in the area and that she wanted me to meet her. Apparently she was an apple farmer and had been her entire life; I think Twi just wanted to show me off.
Soon I heard a voice with a southern accent say
"Well howdy twilight"
Then the pony went wide eyed as she say me and said in a quiet voice, "twilight there's somthin' a might desturbin' behind ya"
"His name is john and I wanted you to meet him."
"Don't you think spike and owloicios are enough company?" She said raising an eyebrow
"He's not a pet"
I face palmed and told her I was a sentient life form
"Is it an alien" she said looking at me with wonder.
"Well remember that time I went through the mirror to another world, as far as I can tell he's from that world and weirder yet he got here without magic!"
"Ya but is it an alien"
"Alien here has a name ya know"
"No aj it-he is not an alien" she said blushing at the wording mistake
I walked over to an apple tree and reached up grabbing an apple and ripping it off the tree. It looked too perfect to be natural
I walked over to the women chatting about me
"Just curios, but Do you happen to use artificial grown hormones on these apples, or are they organic?"
"Ah don't know what those artificial growth things you're talking about are but I can tell ya we here at sweet apple acres grow the best apples in all of equestria."
"I guess that's a no" I said shrugging, "can I have this one?"
"Sure, but next time it'll cost you one bit."
"One bit of what?" I said with a mouth full of some of the best apple I have ever tasted
"Is this a honeydew apple?" I asked as I gulped down the bite and took another
"That'd be a red apple."
"You mean to tell be you've never experimented in making the best apple by crossing plants?"
"What?" she said giving me a funny look.
"Oh I can explain it to you later, me and twilight have to get to the library before it gets much darker" I said after taking a glance at the sunset. The sure is a beautiful place, I thought to myself.
"Well then I guess you'd best be off" said the cowpony apparently named applejack
And so we left with friendly waves and continued the long walk to the library

"So twilight how has your day been?" I said after several minutes of awkward silence.
"Well I got a lot of reading done, and discovered a new species, so I think his is one of the best days I've had in a while."
"You do realize technically speaking; fluttershy found me, not you."
"Yes a realize that, I just can't wait to get home so I can send a letter to princess celestia"
"Who's she?"
"Well she rules over the land and raises and lowers the sun every day. Her sister Princess Luna raises and lowers the moon every night.
"Hmm."
"Can you get Luna to meet me too, I spose physics in this world are a bit different but if there really is a princess of the night I would really love to meet her."
"Why do you want to meet her so bad? If you don't mind my asking."
"Well I usually sleep in till around noon, and stay up until four in the morning, so sometimes I get the most work done during the night. So if there's a princess whose life is devoted to that time it seems appropriate that I meet the one that I spend the most time enjoying the work of."
"Well I suppose I could ask the both to meet tomorrow for lunch at noon."
"That sounds good to me, just don't wake me till 10:00 at the earliest, I get a bit cranky without sleep"
"Okay, ill sent a letter" she said opening the door to the library
I ducked down a bit and walked into the great room of the large carved out tree. It was very beautiful it looked as though the wood bookshelf's where made of the wood that hadn't been carved out, making them seem to be part of the walls.
"Home sweet home" said twilight
"You can stay in the guest room for now" she said leading me through a corridor off to the side of the staircase. "This will be your room" she said gesturing to a small possibly twin sized bed. Like pony twin sized, as in my head touches the top and my knees can bend there so far off the bottom; but I guess it is what it is. So I said thanks for the room and laid down on one side the beds end digging uncomfortably into my leg and after about twenty minutes of changing positions I finally fell into a deep sleep.
