What am I doing here...this place isn't like me at all....not high-class, only one boutique, so why am I here?
Ah, yes. Fancy Pants.
I remember it like it was yesterday. All I wanted was his opinion on how that orange silk scarf looked on me. But he just wouldn't look away from those tuxedos! By the time I finally got his attention an old friend of his came in and they chatted for, what, an hour? It was like me, his own marefriend, was invisible! I never did get that scarf. I loved it so, but if something doesn't look good on me I don't wear it. And I didn't know how it looked on me. So better safe than sorry.
And then there was Rarity. That stunning unicorn had all his attention! She was pretty, but the whole time he didn't pay one bit of attention to me. For four whole days! At that garden party we talked for about five minutes before Rarity came in again. Whenever she left I would chat with him, but sometimes whens he wasn't there he would talk with others. I felt so ignored! Nobody bothered to talk to me. Nobody cared about me.
I hopped on a train as soon as possible. I didn't know where we were going until we pulled up. Ponyville. Where Rarity lived. I didn't blame her too much. It was Fancy Pants I was truly mad at. But that didn't mean I wasn't mad at her at all. If she hadn't showed up, Fancy Pants would have payed attention to me. I wouldn't feel so ignored.
I've settled down in a house for rent. But I need bits to pay for it. Which means I need a job. I brought about 70 bits, which can pay for a months rent, but I'm not planning on going back anytime soon. Oh, why didn't I bring more money? How do all the lesser ponies live like this? I just want to go home. But I can't.
Ugh. I guess I have to go find a job.
