This is a story, of an adventure that one who can do anything can have. Oh, and his Fragments.
“GENTLEMEN. We are out of here.” The cloaked figure shouted, before slamming a white, plain mask onto his face. The collective group in front of him blinked, looked at each other, before the tallest male, donning a top hat, and pulling on a pair of grey gloves. “Well, here we go.” And then..silence. The masked man looked around, nodded, and then a black vortex exploded outwards, absorbing him into it.
The being sighed softly, looking around. The whirling infinite around him calmed his aching mind, and he relaxed, letting the void take him where it wished. He trusted the vortex, as he made it, and gave it sentience. Here, he was truly at peace, one of the few places he was. It was quiet, and nothing went on here. He stared up at the chaotic colours around him, before closing his eyes. “Where are you taking me, hmmn?” He spoke out to the unknown, before laughing softly. And then he closed his eyes.
When he opened them, well, he was stumbling over a grassy field. He grabbed at his mask before it flew off, and looked around, nodding towards the figures that were already there. “Mornin’” He murmured, before saying their names in turn, as if doing a roll-call.
“Calm.” A tall, thin to the point of gaunt, male nodded. He was roughly 6 foot 7 in height, but was no more than 115 pounds at best. His hair was shoulder length, and pitch black, slicked back apart from a some loose strands that always seemed to get loose to cover part of his face. His eyes are were piercing blue, and coupled with his seeming inability to blink, he seemed to look straight through everyone. He was wearing a suit; a grey pinstriped piece, with black smart shoes, and some kind of black top hat.
“Fear.” A child started hiding behind the male named ‘Calm’s’ legs. He was a little more than 5 foot tall, and a weight to match. He wore a light purple buttoned shirt and a grey, patterned coat. He has grey hair and eyes, looking almost like stone. His hair fell down to his ears at the front, framing his face. A non-threatening visage, to be sure.
“Rage.” Another male flicked his hand up, looking out over the landscape. He was tall, rather toned male, being a good six foot five in height. He was about 200 pounds in weight, his muscle mass contributing most of this. He was wearing short sleeved shirts, showing off his muscles, and baggy jeans. He also bore sunglasses, covering his green eyes and his hair was a dark blonde, short and spiky, and wild and unkempt.
“Wrath.” A female this time, around the same height as Fear, but a lot heavier due to her metallic parts. She was wearing a short dress, fitting her child-like body. She has long, white hair, and very pale skin, whilst her right arm, right leg, and the right side of her face upwards of her mouth was all metal. Her left eye was a dark grey, whilst her right is a glowing red orb. The rest of her body was bare, and she was idly flicking through a book, frowning a little.
“Sui.” Another male waved silently, his eyes downcast as he flicked his fingers together. This one was shorter than most of the others. being 5'11 in height. He was an average weight for his height, but his legs are rather well built. He has black hair, falling in layers down to his shoulders, and iris-less eyes. His pupils are as big as a normal persons iris's would be, weirdly. He usually wears grey suit-pants, and a grey hooded jumper with two round holes cut in the shoulders for the pipes of his mask to go. Under the hoodie, there was bandages wrapped all the way across his torso, covering every scrap of skin. And on his face, is a metal device that looks a little like a gas-mask. It has two pipe-like vents, that exhausted steam with his breath. Out of the side of the mask, two pipes loop into the holes on his jumper, on his shoulders. And, a glint of metal showed the ends of the pipes, jutting slightly out of his palm.
“Shi.” The shortest non-childlike Fragment let out a “Yo!”, sitting atop a nearby rock. He was 5 foot 8 inches, and seemed pretty average weight for that height. He has dark blue hair, with little white specks dotted around, styled to look like a galaxy. He always wears a dark bandage over his eyes, but he tilted his head towards each of the other people in turn, humming to himself. He wore a long, open, sleeveless trenchcoat, and separated baggy sleeves that elasticate around his upper arms. He wore dark jeans worn low on his hips, using three or four belts to secure the pants to his body. He also has his right ear pierced, with an upside down cross, a smaller. right-way-up cross, and a small diamond stud. His bottom lip is pierced with a tiny hoop.
“Lust is back at home for now. Don’t want to scare anyone, if there IS an anyone.” The masked male said, before chuckling. “Oh, wait. Chi! That’s me.” He said, giggling a little to himself in amusement. He bore a giant glasgow grin up to his ears, and his sharp teeth, and white eyes glanced around. His psychotic, permanent smile is marred in places by ropes of flesh connecting both sides of the split, showing off his serrated teeth. He also wears a layered black cloak around his body, covering all other bits of skin. The cloak pools around his ankles, covering it's feet as well. Under the cloak, around 10-20 black leather belts wrap around it's chest, runes sealing most of his power inside of his own chest. He doesn't seem to mind though. His lower half is covered by loose canvas pants, literally sewed to his skin, and his feet bare. A terrifying sight, to be sure.
“So! Shall we be off, and explore?” He said, fitting the mask back onto his face slowly. At that, the metal girl, Wrath, spoke up.
“There is a village about 2 miles east, moron.” She murmured, standing up, and closing her book with a snap. “We may as well start there, as you never let us go back until it;s been at least a week.” And with that, she started trudging forward, the muscled Rage following behind, looking back and shrugging.
“Adventure it is.” Chi said, beckoning to the others with one hand. “Lets make the most of it, hmmn?”
And with that, the Mad-God and his fragments started to walk, not noticing the rainbow-hued blur high above them.
-About 5 minutes later-
“Yo, Chi. Where we goin’?” The muscle-bound male yelled out, ducking so the smaller Fear on his shoulder’s didn’t get clonked in the head. They were on the outskirts of what seemed to be the most cliche forest in existence. Dark, and dense, with roars and cricket chirps coming out from it. The trees were too tall, drooping over, and with vines hanging from the leaves. Patches of thorns grew from the ground, reaching out to the travellers. “And why the hell is this forest so dark?”
“The answer is I dunno to both. It is a little odd, isn’t it.” Chi, the masked man, shouted out from the front of the column, looking with his head tilted into the treeline. “Yo, Shi. Mind checking it out?” He spoke to the blinded male to his right, gesticulating into the wood.
“Geh-wha? Sorry, was zoning. Go into the spooky forest? Sure.” He chuckled softly, then vanished completely, the land going silent one more. Just behind Chi, the male with the metal gas-mask, and the robotic Wrath were in a slightly one sided conversation.
“This place is rather weird, isn’t it? Its too...bright.” The girl murmured, looking around the landscape slowly. ‘Sui’ nodded, waving his left hand around, then pretending to draw something rapidly. Another nod, then he looked back at the girl. “Like a cartoon? Yeah, I can see what you mean. It’s like...outlines? I dunno, this idiot brought us here.” The girl yawned, pointing at the cloaked being in front of her.
“Hey. I do what I want.” Chi clarified, pouting a little, but chuckling, grabbing the girl, and lifting her up over his head, and onto his shoulders. The cyborg gasped, and blushed furiously with her left cheek, smacking the male on the head.
“Put me down!” She cried out, smacking the male repeatedly, and forcing him to leave a trail of indentations in the floor. Eventually, after no response but a soft chuckle from the male, she gave a high whine, before crossing her arms, pouting and looking away. “Fuckin’ idiot…” She murmured, the dark blush still on her cheek.
A soft thudding was heard, as Rage jogged up, securing the child-like Fear on his back. “Chi, teasing her again? And where did the teleporting asshat fly off too?” The muscled man asked, Calm pacing up beside him. The suited male stretched, bones cracking loudly, looking around the landscape, then looking into the woods.
Calm sighed softly, before speaking in a refined voice. “I assume he went to go check the woods for anything, Rage.” Chi nodded, before a quiet scream emitted from the forest. “And...that would be him now.” And sure enough, a panting Shi flicked into the centre of the group, before standing, wobbling a little.
“SO. Gentlemen, welcome to a magical land of moving trees, wolves made of wood, and dragons. Yes, dragons. Now lets run.” The blinded male said calmly, before flicking a few metres in front. “NOW.”
Chi slowly nodded, looking to Rage for an instant. A second later, a scream came, as Fear was thrown through the air, arms flailing. Chi chuckled, catching the child, before blinking out of existance, taking the rest of the Fragments with him. All apart from Rage, who turned to face the tree-line.
“Well then..Lets get this show on the road.” He murmured, eyes closing.
And then the world around him exploded, as a silver beast of fire and muscle and anger ripped its way out of the tree-line. The great winged lizard roared in a rage, letting a stream of liquid fire escape its powerful jaws. The male, paled in size in comparison to the dragon, blinked, watching giant bat-like wings unfurl from it’s shoulders. At the same time, it’s tail curled around behind itself, as the wired muscles in the great reptile’s legs knotted and tensed. Rage sighed, and turned, starting to sprint away, giving a loud. “FUUUUUUU.”
As he was part-way through his yell, the dragon jumped, and span in mid-air, twisting its body and flicking its tail upwards. A second later, the very end of the prehensile limb slammed into the humanoid, and launched him towards a very brightly-colored town, complete with a large tree-house. Rage, as he was flying through the air, wondered how someone made a tree into a house whilst it was still alive, but then realised that...well. Did it matter?
And so, he braced for impact, he noticed some very familiar figures. Behind him, the dragon took off.
