The darkest days
Prequel
Load Full StoryThe remorseful. They're nothing we've ever seen before. They're one of us. Only they've chosen the wrong path in life. They attack good souls just for the fun of it. They look like normal ponies, only they are clocked in darkness. Their eyes glow red from the blood of the fallen. They won't stop until they've killed every last one of us! The freaking things have lost their souls, due mostly to the fact they were raised by a-holes. We've tried to hold them off as long as we could, but our damn leader, Colonel Redfang, is "too scared" to send us to fight. Most of us don't think he deserves that spot. I would sure as hell take that spot if he decided to bite the dust. Oh, where are my manors? My name is Blackblood of the 120th Pegasi Infiltration Unit (or PIU) I was hoof-chosen by the colonel himself. I will remember that day for the rest of my life. Back to the remorseful... They are covered in black, smoky armor. Their eyes glow so red, you can see them through thick blankets of fog. I've killed a few myself, they're even more intimidating up close. Their swords look like they are the normal silver color, but the smoke covers it up, so I can't really tell. They leave black, smoky hoof prints. They make them even creepier, but the prints usually disappear after a few minutes. Under their armor, They have dark grey to black bodies. Newly formed remorseful still have a little color let in their coats. If we wanted, we could capture one and bring it to a lab and study it, but we've lost too many trying. They also don't like sunlight. If they step into the sun, they burn up. in the blink of an eye, they're gone. They're only affected by direct sunlight though. We don't entirely know where they are held out, but we do know that they are held out in an area we like to call the Borderlands. It is a giant smoke wall that keeps the sunlight out of the castle they have. We do know their weaknesses. If they step into the sunlight, they're dead, if you stab them where they have no armor, they're dead, and if you snap their necks, they are dead. The last one is my favorite! The remorseful are really creepy, luckily they're easy to kill!
