Ages before even the royal pony sisters, ponies lived harsh, simple lives. But even these simple lives can be tainted by the pain of loss, anger, hate, and remorse. One young mare's anger and loneliness will lead her down the path to becoming the monster everyone believes her to be, and the future of Equestia will be written with blood and shadows, with sorrow and pain.

This is my first attempt at a MLP fanfic, so expect lots of errors and changes to happen, especially once I can find an editor.
