Emerald laid down on her and Flim's couch. She was snuggled into Flim's body, watching TV. Flim had his arm around her belly, mindless rubbing it.
"It's any day now, Flim."
The cream unicorn snuggled his head into his wife's mane. Emerald giggled a bit. Her neck was ticklish.
"Oh course I know, sweetheart. They're my children."
Emerald chuckled and looked up at Flim. She kissed his nose, causing him to nuzzle her.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you, too."
The two snuggled closer. Flim wrapped his head around Emerald.
"Absolutely nothing can make my life hectic," Flim said.
He let out a content sigh and returned to rubbing his wife's swollen stomach.
(The next daaaaaay)
Flim burst though the door of his house, Emerald on his back.
The foals were coming!
Flim charged through Ponyville. He was running extremely fast, but slow enough so as not to damage the fragile foals.
He heard Emerald moan in pain.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I'm gonna get you to the hospital and everything's gonna be fine."
Flim began running faster.
Flim was pacing back and forth. The nurse had taken Emerald to the devilry room and told him to wait.
He looked at an angry young brown mare. She had a grey scarf and a black mane. She looked to be covered in hot chocolate.
His thoughts were interrupted by the mane 6 walking through the doors.
"Flim!"
Rainbow Dash flew over to the pacing pony, the other 5 following her. Flim looked up with a look of concern.
"We came as soon we heard the news," Twilight said.
She wrapped a hoof around Flim.
"Easy, Twilight. He's a married stallion," Pinkie said.
Flim smiled and let out a soft "Ha." The made the mares smile. He need something to lift his spirits.
After about an hour or two of having fun, felt like eternity to Flim, a nurse walked out. She placed a hoof on Flim shoulder.
"You can come in now."
Flim, the mane six right behind him, got up immediately and began following the nurse.
The white earth pony opened the door to Emerald's room. Flim saw her holding two bundles of joy.
The cream unicorn walked over to his wife and rested a hoof on her forehead.
"Twins?"
"Twins."
Emerald handed the colt to Flim.
He had his dad's white streaks, but his mom's green mane. He had blue eyes with a green lining. He had a extremely-light green coat. He was a pegasus.
"What should we name him," Emerald asked.
"How about Peridot Coin?"
"I get the Peridot part, but why Coin," Emerald asked.
"Because I used to be a salespony."
Emerald smiled at her husband. He was so happy, she could see it.
"And the little girl?"
Emerald was holding the filly.
She had her mother's light-red streaks and father's dark-red streaks in a mess of green and white hair. Her eyes were blue with a green lining. She had a dark cream coat. She was a unicorn.
"How about Citrine Shilling?"
Flim kissed his wife's forehead.
"It's beautiful."
The mane 6 walked up. But Rainbow looked a little hesitant. She walked to the front.
"M-may I hold her?"
This surprised everyone. No one ever excepted the tough and rumble Rainbow Dash to ask first. But none the less, Emerald smiled softly and handed her new daughter to her.
"Hey there, little gal."
Rainbow wiggled her hoof on Citrine's belly, getting a small giggle out of her.
Nurse Redheart was tying a gag around Pinkie's mouth. Pinkie walked over and held out her hooves toward Flim. Flim knew what she meant and handed over Peridot. Pinkie smiled under the gag.
After everypony held the newborns, a nurse walked in with a camera.
"Please return the foals to the parents."
AppleJack and Twilight gave back Peridot and Ruby.
"Is it alright if they're in the picture," Flim asked.
The nurse nodded and motion for everyone to close in.
Fluttershy and Rainbow hovered above, while AppleJack and Pinkie leaned on the bed. Twilight and Rarity were in the ok the side. Flim wrapped a hoof around Emerald, holding Peridot Coin in his arm. Emerald brought him closer, holding Citrine Shilling.
The nurse took the picture.
Flim wrapped his arm around Emerald as they walked out of the children's room.
"You know what this means, right," Emerald said.
Flim looked down at Emerald as they entered their bedroom. She looked back up at him.
"We're gonna have to get a better job."
Flim wined at the word. He had never had a true honest living. Just scam, after scam, after scam.
He removed his vest and bandana. He placed them on the night stand and climbed into bed with Emerald. She in turn cuddled up next him.
"You have a great singing."
"You better believe it, ducky."
Emerald tapped his chest with a giggle. She loved it when he did accents. She especially loved the French one.
"We'll how about we get a job at the Ponyville Palace?"
Flim wrapped his hoof around Emerald and pulled her closer. He leaned in real close. Emerald blushed slightly.
Flim brought his head up to her ear.
"What's that?"
Emerald pushed him away with a laugh.
"It's a singing place. Ponies pay money to here ponies with good singing voices sing."
Emerald cleared her throat.
"We go, we get a job, we sing, we get moola. Bada bing bada boom."
Now it was Flim turn to laugh. Emerald knew her own accents, too.
"Alright, it's time for bed."
Emerald layer back down and used Flim as a pillow.
"G'night."
"Right back at'cha, Sheila."
The two shared one last laugh before falling asleep.
