This was the day even before sweetie belle met scootaloo and apple bloom, the day in which sweetie belle did not understand what friendship is, or how special friendship really is. The time of her life in which she understand what frienship is, the time of her life in which she knew that friendship is sometimes hard, sad, happy, and all other things that could possibly happen.

3 years ago, Sweetie Belle didn't understand friendship, so she tried to ask everypony, but only 2 has answered her question. "Well I guess we can tell you what friendship is, but this is a story from the day I met Bon bon" Lyra said with a smile. "Really?" Sweetie Belle asked with excitement. Lyra and Bon bon nodded at the same time.
Lyra and Bon bon's story:
“A long time ago, when we were about your age, me and Bon bon studied in the same school, but we weren't what we are now, we used to be enemies...” "Enemies?" Sweetie Belle asked, interupting the story. "Yes, we were" Bon agreed. "How?" Sweetie asked, "we're going to that part, now if you'll let Lyra continue the story" bon bon said, and looked to Lyra with a smile "oh of course," lyra said, and so continued the story... “Ok, so we were enemies, every single day we would argue. The teacher would always do anything to keep us from fighting, so they would always put us in the same group, if we failed a pair or group work, we would always blame each other, and if we get perfect scores, me and bon bon would argue that if it wasn't for me (or her) we couldn't have passed. Even our group mates started to get irritated from our everyday fights. But one day we started ignoring each other, to prevent losing friends...”
Lyra stopped from that point and told Bon to continue the story.
“Well we didn't even bother talk to each other because we both knew if that we are arguing all the time, we would just lose friends and people will just ignore us. But one saturday afternoon, I was in the park, alone, and so was Lyra, the two of us started talking to each other. We asked each other on how all of a sudden we became enemies, ok so 1st of all Lyra didn't really talk to me, and Lyra said that she ignored me because I also ignored her, for some reason both of us started ignoring each other. Lyra and I understood that the two of us had a little misunderstanding with each other, that it was no ones fault at all, and on Monday, everypony was surprised that me and Lyra weren't fighting anymore, they saw us as friends, not anymore as “annoying enemies”. Since that they on, we became closer as friends, that we even became best friends. Our hangout place was the park, since it was peaceful and quiet. But as it always go, there were times that we fought, times that we didn't understood each other, but it wasn't always happening, it only happened at times. At times we were like enemies, and at times we were friends. Every time we get to the park, we would tell stories that mean a lot, we also read books that tells stories of adventure, sad, suspense, and all other categories of stories. We also made a lot of jokes that made both of us laugh, there were even times we told each other scary stories and me or Lyra would even have nightmares about the stories we shared…”
Bon bon stopped telling their story and told Lyra that it was her turn to continue the story. "Right" Lyra said quickly...
“... The two of us would even invite others to be friends, we also tell the ponies without friends on how to have a friend. Sometimes me and Bon bon would ignore each other, and if that happens, we would hate each other. One day, the two of us told our stories from the past which really made us cry...” "What is your story in the past?" Sweetie asked, interrupting the story. Lyra and Bon looked at each other, then nodded, then they faced Sweetie Belle with a smile in their face, "sure, but that would be later, now lets go to the story before our past" Bon bon said motioning Lyra to continue the story... “We comfort each other because we both felt the pain we had. We'd help other ponies who also suffer the same pain as we do, we were good friends to other ponies. We share our free time together. One day, we went to the park and rested there with peace and quiet, thinking of the good times that we shared, we still do that until now” Lyra ended the story with a smile.
Sweetie Belle was still confused, she still didn't understand what friendship is, but still she didn't give up, she still asked Lyra and Bon bon what friendship is. Lyra and Bon bon smiled, “Well Sweetie, friendship isn't about the number of friends, it is about how you care about each other, there is no friendship between you and a pony if you have no trust, sometimes there could be misunderstandings, arguements, and hatred, but friends always finds a way to forgive each other and forget the wrong doings, if you want a friend, then they should have their trust on you, and your trust in them. You should also be caring and loving to your pony friends. It's natural if you and your friends fight, but it doesn't mean you should give up on them, but you should do what you can to stop the fight and be friends” Bon bon said with a smile in her face, then looked at Lyra then to me, then Lyra said something something that means a lot to the world:
“Don't look at the negative qualities of a pony, for it results into an enemy, but look at the positive quality of a pony, for it results to a friend
