Spike offers Applejack a chance to improve her skill and equipment as Mistress Mare-velous. After the defeat of the Mane-iac, the Power Ponies pause to train and become better while waiting for the next story arc to begin. But in the dark alleys and slums of Goth-horn City, the home town of Mistress Mare-velous, there always seems to be another gang waiting in the wings to try and terrorize the city. And when the Mistress loses control of her lasso again, they just happen to have an encounter with one of the most vicious of all gangs: The Blood Talons. With a new maretility belt, can she overcome her own difficulties?
