Chapter 2

Jayei turned to see Princess Celestia along with a handful of guards and a few more familiar faces in the form of her former friends.

"That is a very old name, a once proud name and at one time a loved name. But only my family may speak my real name." Twilight growled at her former teacher and co-ruler.

"Twilight what have you done? We searched for two years to find you and you do this as soon as you get home?" Celestia asked as Twilight growled.

"My name is General Jayei of the Zebriacan Rebel Army, and my home is over 100,000 miles away from here that YOU kidnapped me from after a victory over the government there. So yeah princess this is what I do when I'm kidnapped, they're lucky that I went easy on them." Twilight looked over at her former friends and snorted before turning around.

"Good day princess I have a country to rebuild." She turned and started to walk away when Celestia flashed in front of her.

"No, your place is here with us Twilight." Twilight looked at her and smirked making the sun goddess look uneasy.

"You sure didn't think that when I killed your little nephew." She smiled at the stunned look on the princess' face as she walked around her and headed for the exit as she heard the sound of hooves running to her.

"Twilight wait please!" She heard Pinkie yell after her.

"No, I don't care for your excuses, I don't care what you have to say to me I just want to go home where my stallion is waiting on me and probably worried sick." She continued on her way to the gate when something slammed into her making her crash into the stone wall.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I didn't order you to attack!" She heard Celestia yell.

'That hurt.' Twilight thought as she pulled herself from the wall much to the shock of everyone there.

"Twilight?" She heard Rainbow of all ponies whimper.

"You're going to pay for that." She looked up as lavender fire literally came to life in her eyes as she started to walk towards them making them step back before she disappeared and a cries of pain along with the crunch of bone was heard before they turned around to see most of the guards downed in small craters in the stone floor.

CRUNCH! AAAHH! SMASH!

Celestia was shocked as she watched her soldiers be taken down one by one quickly till they were all down for the count.

"Your soldiers are weak Celestia." She heard in her ear turning to see a glaring Twilight with her arms crossed.

"Twi? What happened to you?" Twilight looked over at Applejack as she huffed.

"I'm going home Celestia, my people need me." Twilight started to walk away when Dash flew up to her.

"NO! We need you more than some rebel group your chums with!" She yelled nose to nose with Twilight.

"Oh and why do you need me so bad hm?" Twilight asked looking back at Celestia.

"We were wrong-

"Oh about what part were you wrong about Celestia? The part where I actually killed the prince or the part where you exiled me because of false documents and paid off jury members." Twilight asked looking into her eyes while she looked away.

"I thought you were smarter than that and knew me Celestia. But I guess I was wrong." She turned and looked at Dash.

"Now move, I'm going home." But Dash didn't move while Twilight growled.

"Don't make me hurt you Dash, you were the only one that stood up for me during the trial besides my family." She looked into Rainbows eyes and could see she wasn't going to move.

"Ok, then tell me this. Why do you need me back, Applejack." Twilight looked back to see the mare flinch.

"Um well we are getting threats from some of our neighbors to the West and North West. The griffons and changelings are pushing hard for war, we can't fight them without the elements." Applejack looked in shame at Celestia who was looking at her with a unamused face.

"So you want me back so you don't get swarmed by your enemies? Where are your own allies then Celestia?" Twilight smirked crossing her arms.

"We are still in talks with them." She simply stated crossing her own arms.

"So they aren't helping you, wonder why that is hm?" Her smirk got bigger when Celestia didn't answer her.

"I see, well have fun with that then. I'm going home." Twilight turned to see Dash still in her way.

"Rainbow, I hope you make it out alive." She flashed away as the mare blinked while tears welled up in her eyes before wiping them and glaring at the mares in front of her.

"I've said it before but I still can't believe what you guys did that day when she came to you." She shot into the sky hoping to find Twilight.

"Shut down the borders and find Twilight Sparkle. We need her for the coming war." Celestia stated as the other girls nodded heading into the city to find the mare.

High above Canterlot Twilight sighed looking down at the ponies as they went to do their daily tasks.

"Even after 7 years I can still find you no matter where you go." Twilight sighed turning to see Rainbow Dash with a small smile on her face before Twilight looked back own.

"Then why didn't you find me in the last 7 years?" She asked and heard Dash sigh.

"Twilight I'm sorry."

"Not your fault that I got thrown in prison and when I escaped they made sure that I never came back by marking me as exiled under the punishment of death. Besides I kind of liked where I ended up." She felt the cloud next to her shift and looked over to see Dash sitting next to her.

"What really happened that night Twi?"

"You were there for the trial Dash, you heard what I said to the court. I denied it to the very end when I realized I was set up and then I plead guilty." Twilight looked over at Dash with a small smile.

"Doesn't matter now anyway since they lifted the exile, but I'm not coming back since I already told you I have a life a world away from here and they need me Dash." Twilight looked over at the pegasus who was looking down.

"They never lifted your exile Twilight." Dash spoke in a hollow tone as she raised her head looking her in the eyes.

"Then why am I here?" Twilight stood up and backed away from Dash as the mare got up with her.

"Twilight you have to listen to me."

"Why am I here Rainbow!?" The two mares stood staring at each other as Dash sighed.

"I overheard a conversation between the princess and the girls, she said she was going to bring you back and wipe your mind of everything that's happened with the war coming and everything and Shining and Cadence refusing to help after what they did to you." Twilight stared at Rainbow for a second before she growled.

"So you're on board with this?!"

"NO! The girls have changed Twi, after what happened Rarity has got a lot of business along with AJ. Fluttershy mostly stays at her house and well Pinkie still throw parties after what they did and said a lot of ponies saw them as someone to look up to and only saw you a monster." Dash looked at Twilight who had a look of disbelief on her face before continuing.

"I don't even talk to them anymore Twilight and the only reason I'm still here instead of trying to find you is because I'm on the blacklist for transportation when that saw how vocal me and your family got when you went to prison and then escaped. They didn't get your parents since they left the night you escaped and before the order was given." Dash sighed looking down at the cloud.

"Everyone that I knew has turned on me, between verbal lashing and sometimes even bullying at work. I don't want to be here anymore Twilight but just have no where to go."

"Come with me." Rainbow's head shot up to see a smiling Twilight.

"You can come with me and start over with new friends Rainbow, you don't have anyone left here. I can offer you a home and food, a job by my side. Please Rainbow come with me." Twilight extended her hand out to her while Dash looked at it before a small smile came across her face and took it.

"So where to Twi?"

"By now Celestia has the borders locked down so we need to find a certain griffon." Twilight looked over at Dash's confused face and smiled.

"Who?"

High above them a yellow pegasus looked down sadly at her former friends.

"Oh Rainbow why couldn't you have just left it alone?" She asked watching the two head south before she was sure they were far enough away and rolled off the cloud heading for Canterlot.
